The movement of the RM027 Tourbillon is made from titanium and Lital alloy, a high lithium content alloy containing aluminum, copper, magnesium, zirconium, possessing a density of only 2.5 grams cm3. The addition of lithium provides to the mechanism more flexibility and greater shock resistance. This same alloy is also used in the aerospace industry in helicopters, satellites, rockets as well as in Formula 1 race cars. The case is made from an extremely hard-wearing carbon composite that protects the movement and its central tourbillon from shocks. The case itself is 48mm by 39.7mm in size, and just 11.85mm thick. The watch strap is a flexible polycarbonate.

O CULUS After creating history at the International Wines and Spirits competitions, Mission Hill has gone on to produce some of Canada’s finest wines. The 2005 and 2007 Oculus, Mission Hill Family Estate’s signature Bordeaux inspired wines, are an elegant and complex vintage which draw together the wineries expertise in everything from viticulture to winemaking, carefully implemented by chief Winemaker John Simes. Only select clusters of grapes from designated blocks from vineyards in Oliver and Osoyoos are chosen for this special wine. After being hand harvested and hand sorted, they are then gravity fed into small French oak fomenters and then aged in French oak barrels for 13 months. The result is a delicately layered and full bodied vintage with gorgeous aromas of blackberry, cherry and mineral. Opulent fruit, silky tannins, and a velvety mouth feel with impressive length build up to toasty spice and a dusting of chocolate and earthiness.

On March 7th Malcolm Hasman and his unique ability to create awe-inspiring events brought together over 150 invited guests to enjoy a spectacular evening in the lobby of Vancouver ’s most exclusive Terminal City Club. Malcolm was excited to organize an evening of lavish delight for the unveiling of the long awaited 2012 Mercedes SLS AMG Roadster. Together with Mercedes Benz Vancouver, FAZIOLI Piano’s, and the prestigious Terminal City Club, Malcolm has beautifully executed another jaw dropping event for all to enjoy… Established in 1892 and located in the heart of Vancouver ’s downtown financial district, the Terminal City Club, considered to be one of Canada ’s most distinguished private clubs with an undisputed reputation for excellence, was the perfect setting for the evening. Having frequented the club and experienced their services first hand, Malcolm thought there was no better venue to host such an event. “The elegant lobby is the perfect setting for the launch of this fabulously sophisticated SLS sports car,” says Malcolm. “It’s just a wonderful collaboration of four luxury brands and all our exclusive clients” says Malcolm. Goodman the SLS Roadster is the final chapter in re creating the most famous 1950s iconic sports cars that today is considered one of the rarest collectible automobiles in the world. “The interesting blend of guests, the club’s history and this truly sensational automobile is an eclectic combination to say the least,” says Michael Kaile, Chief executive of the Terminal City Club. “We are so proud to be able to collaborate with Malcolm to bring this evening to our members and our hotel guests…” The exclusive guests arrived at the red carpet VIP Event and were greeted with a glass of lovely French Veuve Cliquot Champage courtesy of EXCLUSIVE by Malcolm Hasman and a sumptuous array of hor’s d’oeuvres and rare vintage wines courtesy of the Terminal City Club’s Director of Wines, Trevor Forseberg and Chef Ben Pernosky. Whilst marvelling at the incredible opulence and detail put into the evening, guests had the rare opportunity to see the unveiling of this long awaiting launch of the rare Mercedes SLS Roadster…. The car is simply stunning states Malcolm who himself recently took delivery of the most famous Gullwing version of the same SLS model.


Entertainment was provided by Manuel Bernaschek of Showcase Piano’s, who brought a stunning $400,000 Italian FAZIOLI piano to the event. “These incredible Italian pianos, which take over three years to individually build, are not only beautiful to listen to, but are truly an impressive piece of art to admire” states Malcolm. Noni Bruyere, Director of Marketing for The Terminal City Club helped in organizing the evening and was thrilled to bring together this wonderful experience. “Malcolm has once again succeeded in creating an event that gave everyone in attendance not only an incredible evening to remember, but he pulled out the stops for the ‘wow’ factor,” says Noni. “His enthusiasm is contagious and it has been an absolute pleasure to work with an individual that is so dedicated to the end product and has enjoyed so much success in this city.” Malcolm is committed to bringing together quality clients and products with the intention to give them an experience to remember. Just a few steps from the beach with breathtaking, unobstructed ocean views, sits one of Vancouver’s most sought after seaside restaurant, Beachside Forno. Its waterside patio is the perfect setting to enjoy fine food, great ambiance and a glass of chilled wine while you watch the cruise ships sail under the picturesque Lions Gate Bridge, past Stanley Park on their way to Alaska. Although The Beachside Restaurant has been in the West Vancouver for at least 20 years and has seen numerous owners and styles, when it came back on the market almost four years ago food lovers Barb Inglis and her husband Paul Chalmers jumped at the

chance to bring their vision for it alive. Their goal was to create a place where diners could consistently find a warm, relaxing atmosphere and enjoy superior quality food and service. It seemed all of West Vancouver’s North Shore shared their same vision and had been waiting for owners just like them to set up shop. They achieved what they set out to do instantly receiving rave reviews from patrons and critics alike. With it’s bold and bright red crocodile wallpaper, soothing mood lighting, bright windows and open concept feel, the ideal restaurant on the beach now has the perfect feel, impeccable array of wines, and an incredible menu.


“This is a beautiful restaurant with a wonderful indoor outdoor ambiance. It has a very cool vibe providing an open, very chic feeling,” says Malcolm Hasman, who frequents the restaurant. “The outdoor patio on a warm day with family is truly amazing. I love their eggs Benedict with a glass of fresh orange juice,” he raves. Head chef extraordinaire Jason Harris joined the Forno team last July after working at many prestigious restaurants including the Fairmont Hotel McDonald and the Fairmont Pacific Rim. Jason’s passion for fresh, often local ingredients coupled with his ability to create mouth-watering comfort food that is beautifully presented is a real people pleaser. When asked, Barb reflects on what she believes is the best thing about Beachside Forno. “It’s almost like the place has gone full cycle and is coming back to a modern version of the original Beachside. Great, fresh, regional and seasonal food prepared with Chef Harris’s own unique style.
