It was the ruins of ancient Rome that inspired this project, those unpredictable warps that in the eighteenth century appeared to European travellers on the Grand Tour as fantastic visions. Rather than the historic original, what fascinates still today is this state of progressive destruction that millennia carve in the forms, unveiling their most obscure recesses. So the ruin tells us of time passing, of slowly dying beauty, and in this its slow decay evokes a transverse narrative, as if trapped between the architecture and its definitive destruction. “House of Twelve� tries to invent a fantastic response to an interrupted story, following an empirical path made by progressive mutation of contemporary ideas and those of

late antiquity, such as the theme of intersecting rings or the horizontal sequence of multiple spaces and forms, concatenated and directed according to a centrifugal expansionism, which unites works of Frank Lloyd Wright with the villa of the emperor Hadrian at Tivoli. Collisions and juxtapositions, furthermore – distant echoes of the American Center in Paris by Frank Owen Gehry – characterise the front and the public space of the house, whose roundnesses appear, from the road, to be deeply

sculpted. As well as restoring thickness to the façade, these excavations make it permeable to the winter sun, which reaches to illuminate – with a grazing light, interpreted by the cavities – the courtyards at the rear. In particular, the living space, with its diaphanous vault in gold mosaic, the ripples of the mirrors of water at the edges and the consequent manifold reflections of light, appears from the main courtyard as a baroque “room of light”, here reinvented in an urban key.

The good folks at Scubacraft have done their magic and have come up with something that, while being a zippy watercraft on the water, is a supercool battery driven submersible beneath the surface. The Scubacraft is “the result of engineering development; form dictated by function. Scubacraft is a product that addresses the need for people to travel from the shore directly to a dive location and more easily underwater.”
Calling the vessel “the ultimate watercraft”, the Scubacraft is operated by a singe person both above and below the water surface. On the surface, the combustion engine is used for power. While submerged, the main engine shuts down and seals airtight before sinking into the water. Batteries provide power for it’s four motors, while hydrofins control the direction. The Scubacraft is designed to have a slight positive buoyancy at all times, using the power of the thrusters to dive. Should power be lost the craft will float back up to the surface. A nice safety feature. However, the Scubacraft is also able to lose this positive buoyancy in a special “park”, thus allowing you to leave the craft and explore.

The Fisker Karma is a plug-in hybrid luxury sports sedan. The Karma is powered by Quantum Technologies’ Q-Drive technology, an innovative petrol engine/electric motor combination; Q-Drive is a series hybrid system meaning that the engine is mated with a generator to provide an electrical connection to the motors and also recharge the batteries and as such the electric motors are the only mechanical driving force connected to the wheels.
As a factory option the Karma can be fitted with a solar paneled roof not only to aid in the recharging of its LithiumIon batteries but also to aid the cabin climate control system. The solar roof is capable of generating a half kilowatt-hour a day and is estimated to provide up to 6.4–8.0 km of additional range a week assuming continuously sunny days. Additionally, the car offers a set of solar panels for the garage/ house which may charge the Karma entirely ‘off the grid’.
Although Fisker Automotive has yet to release solid statistics regarding Karma’s fuel economy, the company estimates the average driver will only have to refill the fuel tank annually provided they do not drive more than 80 km a day. Fisker Automotive has also suggested that when in ‘sport-hybrid’ mode the Karma will be capable of 2.4 l/100 km of fuel consumed for a range of 480 km. Despite its eco-friendly background the Karma features a 201 km/h top speed and is capable of reaching 97 km/h from a standstill in 5.8 seconds. The Karma’s two 201 brake horsepower (204 PS) motors produce 1,300 newton metres of torque, more than the Bugatti Veyron at 1,250 N·m. Now, that’s what I call good Karma.

To answer the question, a marriage can recover from an affair but it can be helpful to have someone to guide you through the work you will have to do to bring your marriage back together. The role this third person, a psychologist perhaps, plays is a multidimensional one that includes expert guide, coach, mentor, educator, confidential support system and communications and relationship specialist to help the couple come together again. To do this, the goal of the guide has to be to help the couple identify the areas of dissatisfaction in their life that have caused the current situation, teach communication skills to the couple to give voice to the issues in a constructive fashion and train them in relationship skills that will help them come together from their polarized position. The psychologist must also guide and coach the couple on how to cope with hurt, rebuild trust, develop hope and be with each other again. An affair no longer means the end of a relationship, relationships do manage to survive, even flourish after an affair, so a little bit of effort after to heal the relationship can lead to very good things.
