Time flies so swiftly that it’s hard to keep up with events, and it seems we’re already in the passenger seat of a DeLorean, dashing into the unknown faster than the hands of a spinning clock. But despite everything, we don’t lose our lust for life and its sense of beauty. We still remember what ‘Dolce far niente’ means. We do not stop experimenting, dreaming, creating, loving, and building. As I prepare each new issue of our magazine, I find myself increasingly immersed in the atmosphere and journeys of magnificent brands, their creators, their biographies, philosophies, and paths. But it is also equally valuable to me to discover new names, keeping pace with the times, and being energised by the enthusiasm of young talents, to avoid becoming rigid or sanctimonious. Otherwise, what kind of the fourth branch of government are we, right? To some people, the world of luxury may seem artificial and soulless, but those people don’t know the stories and haven’t felt the drama that has run like a thread through the destinies of every great name admired by the world today. They don’t know how family brands were created, whose shares now fetch millions on the stock exchanges; what gives them their spark and drives them to continue; their legacy; and the path they’ve trodden to achieve success. Luxury has a soul, and that’s an undisputed fact. This soul comprises a skilful blend of love for one’s craft, dedication, continuity, talent, business acumen, and wisdom. That’s why so many crave possession of the products of this boundless talent and labour. Isn’t it romantic, isn’t it love, creativity, and a special luxury
gene in our DNA? Let’s return to today. One of the major global events in art awaits us: Cannes Film Festival, and perhaps one of the brightest events in sport: The Monaco Grand Prix. And we promise that – as is our tradition – we will bring you all things ‘delicious’ from these brilliant events, because we’ll always be in the thick of things. Wherever you spend this time with our magazine in hand: at Café de Paris in the Casino Square, on Blue Waters in Dubai, on Rodeo Drive, or in Belgravia ... we’ll ensure that LUXURY is always with you.

MERGING ART & FASHION
ne of the most famous collaborations of the 20th century between a fashion designer and an artist is the creative duet of Elsa Schiaparelli and Salvador Dali. Their cooperation took on a variety of forms, blurring the boundaries between fashion and art. The design of this compact in 1935 marks the first collaboration between Elsa Schiapa-
relli and Salvador Dali - powder case imbued with a rotary phone dial, which is, today, transformed into a striking gold-tone brooch. For the S/S 2024 collection, Daniel Roseberry, the artistic director of the Parisian couture house, revisits it in the form of a brooch in gilded brass and enamel, to embellish the silhouette with a very Schiap touch.

The best traditions & innovations
Davidoff Cigars presents its new Monolith Humidor, which is the brand’s first humidor carved from a single piece of stone. Made of Moca Cream limestone, the Monolith offers a safe and odourless home for up to 120 Toro cigars. To ensure a smooth surface and to soften potentially sharp edges, the experts used diamond tools and meticulously shaped the stone and adjusted its form with tolerances as small as
tenths of millimetres. To keep the cigars in perfect condition, the humidor has two Davidoff de Luxe Regulators inside its lid which keep the humidity at 70%-72% rh. To help with sorting, Davidoff equipped the humidor with wooden dividers. Aficionados can also find a dedicated space for their accessories. The Davidoff logo is elegantly engraved on the stone and adorns the humidor with the highest quality award.

PATEK PHILIPPE
RARE HANDCRAFTS
BREATHTAKING GRACE & ICONIC CRAFTSMANSHIP
When time meets exquisite art
Continuing its annual tradition, Patek Philippe exhibited the year’s Rare Handcrafts in April. This exhibition is the only opportunity to enjoy one-of-a-kind models before they are sent to private collections around the world. Pocket watch “Portrait of a White Egret”, depicted with great finesse in wood marquetry is one of the presented samples. The marquetry-maker
cut out and assembled a remarkable 53 tiny veneer parts and 400 inlays, together spanning a palette of 18 species of wood of different colours, textures and veining. The gold dial was hand-guilloched and coated with translucent blue enamel, according to the traditional technique of flinqué enameling. The watch is accompanied by a handcrafted stand in white gold on an oval base in silver obsidian.

Cartier
THE WATCHMAKER OF SHAPES
“Like an alchemist, Cartier transforms matter into personal and precious objects of desire. Those... elevate our soul... Cartier is a true magician.” - Cyrille Vigneron President and CEO of Cartier International
As always, the 2024 Watches & Wonders exhibition, held in Geneva, displayed the pinnacle of horological craftsmanship and luxury. One of the watchmaking giants, Cartier presented its fans with innovations that have captured the hearts and imaginations.
Whimsical Cartier creations certainly play an important role in maintaining the brand’s status as one of the leading luxury companies out there and the Reflection de Cartier is no exception.
Cartier does not hold itself back when presenting the Reflection de Cartier: “After the Clash [Un]limit-
ed and Coussin de Cartier watches, the Reflection de Cartier watch continues the odyssey of magic, illusion and fascination. The collection’s motto: transcribing the mysteries of time through bold creations.”
A journey into illusion and optical trickery, this cuff-shaped watch –which neatly forms a Cartier “C” – snakes around the wrist to terminate in a dial that faces across at the other end of the piece.
Tension culminates as a delicate dial meets its reflection, where time appears to move backward. The gemlike beveled glass on the dial marks the piece’s double identity, equal in
sophistication and precision. To be fair, when seeing the Cartier Reflection de Cartier for the first time, it is easy to figure out why it’s called a reflection and how that works — a watch that ran backward in physical form, with a flipped dial, and ran in the correct direction only in its reflection.
Available in 18k white gold, rose gold and yellow gold, with an optional gem setting, the ‘Reflection de Cartier’ watch is a true masterpiece that transcends boundaries, captivates the senses and creates a breathtaking fusion of luxury and artistry.

One of the most collectable modern Cartier watches
Magic continuously infuses its transformative power into the Maison’s great classics, which is constantly being reinvented, such as the Tortue Monopoussoir Chronograph watch from the Cartier Privé collectionone of the most prestigious watches in Cartier’s repertoire. It follows on from the rare watches unveiled previous years, such as the Crash, the Tank Cintrée and the Tonneau, all of which have been redesigned with a single ambition in mind: dedicating technique to aesthetics. This year, Cartier has chosen to introduce the monopo-
ussoir chronograph complication.
It is an enticing watch because it looks to be a proper, ageless, evergreen Cartier ( the Tortue has been around for over a century, since 1912, to be exact ) and because it is a dress watch that could potentially impress with its movement, functionality, and versatility.
The Cartier Privé, or Collection Privée Cartier Paris (CPCP) for an even stuffier name, is the brand’s special label slapped on watches it has chosen to revive in limited quantities from its largely unrivaled selection of everlasting collections and designs.
Entirely polished, the case features sapphire crystals on both sides and a crown set with a ruby or a sapphire cabochon (depending on the case material). Eight screws secure the back, and the water-resistance is limited to 30 metres.
On the wrist, it exudes incredible elegance and charm, with an outdated feeling that perfectly fits the whole spirit of this watch.
The 2024 Cartier Privé Tortue Monopoussoir Chronograph will be produced in 200 platinum and 200 yellow gold pieces. Each is delivered with two interchangeable straps.

Rolls-Royce
ARCADIA DROPTAIL
Rolls-Royce Motor Cars is delighted to present Rolls-Royce Arcadia Droptail, an exquisite coachbuilt expression of tranquility, celebrating purity of form and natural materials.
The coachbuilt commission, Arcadia Droptail, takes its name from the mythical realm of Arcadia, a place depicted in Ancient Greek mythology as ‘Heaven on Earth’ – a land renowned for its extraordinary natural beauty and perfect harmony. Like the haven that inspires its name, Arcadia Droptail was envisioned by the client as a serene space characterised by reduction, material depth and tactility that would serve as a refuge from the complexities of their business life. In capturing the theme of tranquility, Coachbuild designers embarked on an exploration of design, sculpture, and architecture from the client’s favourite regions around the world. This included the precision and richness of modernist tropical sky gardens seen in Singapore, Indonesia, and Vietnam as
well as British ‘Biomimetic’ architecture, where organic forms and material honesty are celebrated. Rolls-Royce Coachbuild designers developed a calm, natural duotone colourway for the motor car coachwork. The client’s aspiration was to define a timeless white, appearing as a solid colour at first glance, but creating a level of intrigue upon further study under natural light. To achieve this, the main body colour is a solid white infused with aluminum and glass particles. Rolls-Royce specialists developed a more faceted, striking metallic using larger sizing of aluminum particles. The carbon fibre used to construct the lower sections of Droptail is painted in the solid Bespoke silver colour rather than left fully or partially exposed, visually ‘lifting’ the motor car in profile to intensify its lithe, dynamic intent.
As the exterior of Arcadia Droptail celebrates the motor car form, the interior is a deeply personal reflection of the client’s individual aesthetic. The leather interior is finished in two entirely Bespoke hues, named after the client, and reserved exclusively for their use. The main leather colour is a Bespoke White hue, continuing the exterior paint theme, while the contrast leather is a Bespoke tan colour, developed to perfectly complement the selected wood. The interior also includes the shawl panel that unites all four Droptail motor cars and is the largest continuous wood section ever seen on a Rolls-Royce motor
car. Applying wood to the complex curvatures of Droptail’s interior required RollsRoyce engineers to develop an entirely new substructure for several components. The dramatic geometry of the dashboard, door linings and central cantilevered ‘plinth’ armrest had to be incredibly rigid to ensure the stability of the wood pieces once they were laid in place. Engineers called on carbon fibre layering techniques used in Formula 1 motor racing to develop an incredibly stiff base onto which the wood could be applied, ensuring that it remained secure regardless of the dynamic extremes the motor car experienced.
THE HAND-BUILT ROADSTER
Exquisite expression of precision and subtle restraint
Reflecting the patron’s international lifestyle, the motor car is specified with left-hand drive to facilitate its use around the world. This international dimension was so important to the commissioning client that the Coachbuild Collective wanted them to virtually experience the motor car in multiple locations around the world before it was built. Coachbuild designers used the marque’s ‘holodeck’ to facilitate this - a unique virtual 3D environment in which the client uses an advanced virtual reality (VR) headset to view the car as it would appear in specific locations around the world.
Inspired by a fine piece of furniture in the client’s home, Santos Straight Grain - a high-density, delicate wood - was selected for the interior and exterior woodwork based on its visual intrigue and rich texture, derived from its interlocking grain pattern. The Santos Straight Grain veneer fascia incorporates a
clock conceived and developed by Rolls-Royce Coachbuild designers and craftspeople. The clock features an exquisite geometric guilloché pattern in raw metal with 119 facets. This is a symbolic nod to the marque’s heritage as the client first saw a preview of the motor car in late 2023 – the year when Rolls-Royce celebrated its 119-year anniversary. The specially-designed clock face also includes partly polished, partly brushed hands and 12 ‘chaplets’ – or hour markers –each just 0.1mm thick. To ensure the readability of the timepiece, specialists gave each chaplet an infill bridge and painted them by hand using a camera capable of magnifying an image by up to 100x. This expression of haute horlogerie is the most complex Rolls-Royce clock face ever created. In tribute to the brilliant mirror finish of brightwork on historical Rolls-Royces, the exterior grille surround, ‘kinked’ vane pieces, and 22inch alloy wheels are fully mirror-polished.
BMW Vision Neue Klasse X A FIRST
GLIMPSE INTO THE FUTURE
It’s about rethinking the car. It is more than just a single car. The Neue Klasse stands for a family of vehicles and for the next generation of all-electric BMW models.
The Neue Klasse creates space for new design, new experiences, and new moments of joy. Its basic principles are electric, digital, circular – and as dynamic as only a BMW can be – whether saloon or SAV (Sports Activity Vehicle). Here people are at the centre: modern proportions with a long wheelbase and short overhangs usher in a new design era and provide ample space in the light-flooded interior; the flush glass surfaces and slightly shimmering exterior colour
add a touch of lightness to the upper area. In every detail, the vehicles suggest openness, spaciousness, and user-friendliness. It’s about rethinking the car. That’s why BMW is leading the way to a circular economy in automotive engineering. The sixth-generation BMW eDrive technology plays a decisive role in this. A completely new generation of cells is being developed for the Neue Klasse, the production of which emits significantly less CO2. The energy density increases by more
than 20 percent and the charging speed and range (according to WLTP) by up to 30 percent. It will soon be possible to recharge 300 km of range in only 10 min. Drive and driving dynamics management are brought together by state-of-the-art computers and harmonised software components – BMW Dynamic Performance Control is sure to deliver a unique driving experience. Efficiency, dynamics, and precision become one, thereby making the Neue Klasse more BMW than ever.
THE NEW PERSPECTIVE
Real and digital worlds merge to create a completely new mobility experience.
Revolutionary Concept | Holistic Approach
In order to optimize the focus on the driving experience, the cockpit has a clear and minimalist design, and the number of controls has been greatly reduced. A holistic approach includes an intelligent, human-centered operating concept with a unique user experience. Together with the new generation of BMW iDrive, BMW Panoramic Vision, the Central Display, and the redesigned steering wheel with multifunction buttons form a revolutionary operating concept with state-of-theart assistance systems and new digital products and services. BMW Panoramic Vision features a completely new tech-
nology. The information is projected at an optimum height across the entire width of the windscreen. The black lower section of the windscreen thus becomes a display, the three-dimensional content of which appears to float. The experience of the BMW Vision Neue Klasse X is truly fascinating thanks to the display surfaces, light, and sound as well as the selected materials and colours. Carefully coordinated and interlocking. When you open the door, you are greeted by a light and sound show that emanates from the central display and encompasses the entire front interior thanks to the ambient lighting.
CITROËN DS
FALLEN FROM THE SKY
When it was established in the 1955 auto show, the DS clearly stood out and its aerodynamic lines attracted attention. Its profile as a “drop of water”, designed by Flaminio Bertoni, distinguished it from the other vehicles.
After 18 years of secret development as the successor to the Traction Avant, the DS 19 was introduced on October 6, 1955 at the Paris Motor Show. In the first 15 minutes of the show, 743 orders were taken, and orders for the first day totaled 12,000. During the 10 days of the show, the DS took in 80,000 deposits; a record that had stood for over 60 years, until it was eclipsed by the Tesla Model 3 which received 180,000 first day deposits in March 2016. The incredible novelty of that time earned the nickname “Flying Saucer” (or “Star of the show”). The Citroën DS was produced from 1955 to 1975. To France still
deep in reconstruction after the devastation of World War II, and also building its identity in the post-colonial world, the DS was a symbol of French ingenuity. In 1963, Citroën presented a DS as a sculpture, upright like a rocket, on a rotating platform (AutoRAI, Amsterdam). It also posited the nation’s relevance in the Space Age. Structuralist philosopher Roland Barthes, in an essay about the car, said that it looked as if it had “fallen from the sky”. The car featured a novel hydropneumatic suspension including an automatic leveling system and variable ground clearance, developed in-house by Paul Magès. This suspension allowed the DS
to travel quickly on the poor road surfaces common in France. The central part of the hydraulic system was the high-pressure pump, which maintained a pressure of between 130 and 150 bar in two accumulators. These accumulators were very similar in construction to the suspension spheres. One was dedicated to the front brakes, and the other ran the other hydraulic systems. (On the simpler ID models, the front brakes operated from the main accumulator.)
Thus, in case of a hydraulic failure, the first indication would be that the steering became heavy, followed by the gearbox not working; only later the brakes would fail. Two different hydraulic pumps were used. The DS used a seven-cylinder axial piston pump driven off two belts and delivering 175 bar of pressure. The DS 21 for
model year 1965 featured five main bearing engines with power of 109 hp. It received a substantial increase in power with the introduction of Bosch electronic fuel injection for 1970, making the DS one of the first mass-market cars to use electronic fuel injection. Power of the carbureted version also increased slightly at the same time, owing to the employment of larger inlet valves. In September 1971 Citroën introduced a 3-speed fully automatic Borg-Warner 35 transmission gearbox, on the DS 21. The fully automatic transmission DS was never sold in the US market where this type of transmission gained market share so quickly that it became the majority of the market by this time. The car remained iconic through the whole history of the company.

FAMILY LAW, CRYPTO & REAL ESTATE
One of the most important and vital parts of a divorce process is the disclosure of assets. In this article, we outline some of the key things you need to know about how cryptoassets and real estate can be divided between two parties.
As actual as life
In divorce proceedings, the disclosure of assets is crucial. This is particularly important when it comes to property and cryptoassets. Following cases such as AA v Persons Unknown (and others), the Courts in England and Wales regard cryptoassets as “property” that can be the subject of orders, freezing injunctions or the transfer of ownership. This means that they can be transferred between parties within divorce proceedings via a property adjustment order under s.24 of the Matrimonial Causes Act 1973.
With an asset as volatile as crypto, the value can continuously fluctuate. This can complicate their utility in real estate transactions, or disclosure in divorce proceedings. It is therefore vital that all parties have up-to-date valuations at each hearing and at every stage of the negotiations.
When dividing cryptoassets in divorce proceedings, courts often rely on an established principle in divorce law known as Wells sharing. This derives from a 2002 case in which the Court of Appeal found that fairness in the division of assets on divorce might be achieved by a fair distribution of “the copper-bottomed assets and illiquid and risk-laden assets”. By using this approach, cryptoassets are divided equally between partners and in specie, so that each party retains their own crypto portfolio. It sidesteps the issues of valuation, but is rarely popular with either side in the proceedings.
The Wells case highlights the potential unfairness of attributing a set value to volatile assets, which cryptoassets certainly are. It also demonstrates that long-established principles for valuation and division may not be best suited to digital assets. Whilst it is an approach that a court may feel is appropriate when considering division of assets, it is easy to see why this may often be less than ideal for the parties. Par-

ticularly in cases where a party may wish for the portfolio to be liquidated. And the other may want to hold onto cryptoassets In anticipation of potential appreciation. Courts will essentially try to get to a fair and reasonable outcome based on the specifics of each case, and so parties’ wishes in relation to the nature of the assets and other relevant factors will usually be taken into account.
The regulatory crackdown on cryptoassets both in the UK and US has also complicated the taxation of cryptoassets. This may impact how such assets are taxed by IHT and CGT. When considering both the use of cryptoassets in real estate transactions and in family law proceedings, parties must be aware of this fact so as not to be adversely impacted by taxes. Transferring cryptocurrency between parties might be seen as a taxable event, and this can apply to both separation proceedings and property transactions involving cryptoassets. Despite the complex tax and regulatory landscape surrounding real estate and cryptoassets, the use of cryptocurrency to purchase property has risen by 25 per cent over the past year according to City A.M, showing an increased viability for buyers to use digital assets as a purchase option. As the crypto sector matures, there is a clear expectation that legal frameworks will develop in tandem, thereby providing more certainty and clarity for the treatment of digital assets in future transactions and proceedings. The English common law system has proved itself flexible and resilient enough to recognise cryptoassets as forms of property with the resulting legal recognition and rights.
However, there are some areas of complexity and uncertainty, arising from the unique and nuanced characteristics of digital assets. The advent of digital assets has undoubtedly posed challenges to traditional and long-established legal principles, such that the Law Commission has recommended the introduction of a third category of property to better encompass digital assets.
ELENA LILEEVA
A sophisticated corporate world
Elena, to live and to study at Cambridge is a dream for almost every talented student. How did it come true for you?
I rst discovered Cambridge when my husband-to-be was studying there. Living in a college and walking along the River Cam, beside the beauty of the medieval city and its numerous churches, was a deeply enchanting experience; I was fortunate to do a Masters with some outstanding teachers and fellow students. We ended up living in Cambridge for a decade and have fond memories of cycling to the orchard in Grantchester and going to concerts in different colleges.
You remember your student years with a ection, what was most memorable in your childhood?
I spent my childhood in Moscow. As a child, I enjoyed going to the theatre, the ballet, museums and the conservatory. I was well into sports as my mother and father were professional swimmers and I
started swimming before I started walking! It has become a family tradition, hence my children love water sports.
As a teenager, I played basketball in Russia’s Olympic Reserve team, which taught me discipline and the value of commitment and team work.
I also was an avid reader, as I still am today. You are one of the partners of Constant Wealth. e very name of the company suggests stability and prosperity. Could you please tell us about the company’s services?
Indeed, when we thought of the company name, we were trying to nd one which is not simply a label but rather an expression of what we want to achieve for our clients.
As we deal with companies and individuals helping them to navigate the complex international banking world, we wanted the name to have the depth and the meaningfulness which our services require. I like how you talk about stability and prosperity; they were the meanings we
Photographer: Viktoria Maze @viktoriamaze Club: Royal Automobile Club Make-up: Julia Laza @julialaza www.julialazacreates.comwanted to convey.
We also strive for our clients to preserve and multiply their wealth by having us by their side. And we want that to be constant. Our clients represent a diverse range –from nancial market professionals to entrepreneurs, to substantial single-family ofces and prominent companies spanning a variety of sectors.
In the course of your everyday work you make decisions, which could impact not only your clients but also your colleagues. When making an important decision, which guidelines are constant priorities for you?
My key priority is respect. We respect our clients and their needs. When I deal with my team, I always try to translate respect into every aspect of our work. We have di erent responsibilities but on a human level we are aligned by the same interests and approach to work. You could call it our work ethic.
Another priority for me is integrity. I like smart people and I like people who work hard. I feel that the team will only embrace this if I lead by example.
Finally, humanity and humility. For my team it is an open door policy and I think that’s what gives us a real sense of being an e ective team.
Brilliant, could you please tell us about Constant Wealth’s corporate culture?
Constant Wealth has a (young) corporate culture of less than two years. Like a child, it’s fun and explorative! On the one hand, most of our time is dedicated to clients on a daily basis, so we spend little time in board meetings trying to de ne our corporate culture. On the other hand, our partners created the company a er each of them worked in a professional London environment for 15 years and were recognised for their work in the market. So, our ethos was to take the best from the ‘big’ corporate world and put it into our company. Not quite a ‘Cambridge dream’ but it’s ours!
I feel that Constant Wealth has a real identity, and every time our clients deal with the partners or the team, they see our human face and our desire to do the best job for them.
How does IT in uence the development of your company?
I think the answer is: very fundamentally. We work across nine jurisdictions and IT is what makes it all possible. Technology does not bridge all the cultural di erences. Perhaps AI will do so, but our work requires a human touch and technology de nitely helps with the rest.
For any person who is dedicated to his/ her own business, there are no holidays. Which method of time management you prefer?
In my view, for any person who is dedicated to their own business, every single method of time management is a must. But, in all honesty – and I think this will resonate with everyone who runs their own business – I do not think in terms of holidays, paid leave, vacations or sick days. Although I have come from a sophisticated corporate world and have been running my own business for a relatively short period of time, I actually found it easier to switch from being a ‘receiver’ of personal time o , to the ‘giver’ of it. So, I tackle my time and tasks with a constant level of dedication, and I think it is that which allows me to manage it all.
You are a consummate professional, rising through the ranks from Analyst to Director and Desk Head at the most prominent British and Swiss nancial rms. However, you consider attending seminars and specialist forums a necessity. Did you ever think about teaching? My husband is a professor at a university in England and so I ful l any urge for teaching vicariously through him! I don’t think I’m a natural teacher but I hope that when the business is more mature, I will be able dedicate some of my time to mentoring as I nd it can have a real impact on an individual’s career and life.
I have come across mentors who had a lasting impact on me and I would like to be able to do the same for people I meet. I am keen to pass on my knowledge, network of contacts and experience to my team members, and I believe it is of utmost importance to nurture the next generation of wealth managers with integrity, moral values and strong work ethics. is will en-
able our sector, which is based above all on personal interaction, to survive and thrive in our digital age.
Frequent business trips are an integral part of your professional life. You visit the most interesting destinations. Do you have chance to do a bit of sightseeing and feel the charm of those cities?
I do, although I always think that the charm I get to see is of not a tourist kind but rather a business one. In each city I visit, I see the beating heart of it, whether that’s the business centre or people who work and do business there. I get to glimpse and interact with what I feel are the most upbeat parts of the business communities, and I can clearly see the speci c
character of Milan, Geneva, Hong Kong and other cities despite the uniformity of hotels, brands and industries.
I feel that culture has a profound imprint on people and the places where they live and work. I take joy in experiencing elements of that culture and the uniqueness of each place.
I love to go to La Scala in Milan, or visit Montreux during the music festival. Salzburg during its Festspiele and Vienna at the time of the famous New Year’s concert. Working in the nancial sector is recognised as one of the most stressful jobs. But you seem to overcome all the challenges by one honest admission: ‘I love my job’. What is the most di cult part of
your job?
e most challenging part of my job is balancing my work and my family life. As a wife, and mother of two young children, I face dilemmas every day: go home for a family dinner or nish an urgent task at the o ce; stay for one more client meeting overseas or return home to spend the weekend with my family.
Constant Wealth in the future: What are your plans for the next 5-10 years?
We have started as a services rm guiding clients through current complex banking options. e ambition is to build a prominent nancial services institution and I will be delighted to keep the readers updated on its progress. Spoiler alert!
For many years you lived in London. What are your favourite places here? Which traditions and way of life appeal to you here?
I love going to the Royal Opera House, especially to enjoy the brilliance of Antonio Pappano; listening to lectures at the British Museum; viewing the always intriguing and fascinating exhibitions at the Royal Academy of Arts.
For you friends are like shining, nely cut diamonds. What kind of people are you drawn to?
I like your question as it is true, I am drawn to people who shine and li others up. A real friendship for me is when unique values and principles coincide. But thinking more broadly, I do like ‘diamonds in the rough’ as well. I meet people who some may say are not polished enough – but it’s not the polish I’m a er. I value real connection, character, kindness and a desire to learn.
What interests does your son have? What kind of future would you like for him?
My son has varying interests, from reading to sports and music. In my culture we have a saying that children do the things their parents never had chance to do, so he is playing the classical guitar.
I would like him to grow up in a healthy society, surrounded by loving people and with a developed set of views and values. What is a luxurious life style for you?
Luxury is very personal. For me it’s to give my time and part of my soul to those who might need me the most.

Kayvan Mashayekh
FOUNDER OF PRODUCERS WITHOUT BORDERS
“I always tell people, if you really want to understand the essence of Producers Without Borders (PWB), watch the first six minutes of “The Godfather.” People laugh at the analogy, but in the first moments of that long, epic story you get the gist and spirit of what it’s all about…’Family’,” – says Founder of Producers Without Borders, Kayvan Mashayekh.
Mr. Mashayekh leaves profound traces in each person with his warmest heart, brightest personality, the highest professionalism and ingenious creativity.
Making dreams come true
Mr. Mashayekh, what is the mission and ethos of the global network of Producers Without Borders?
We’re a small network with the sole purpose of creating authentic, long term, real relationships where the currency of trust is a gateway to forging meaningful bonds throughout life. Our tripartite principles for being a member of the organisation are embedded in these three areas: Attitude of Gratitude (being grateful in the skills and knowledge/expertise you have and being open to sharing it with people who need your guidance); Being Responsive, (responding to communications in a timely, courteous, and professional manner; Paying it Forward (helping make other people’s dreams come true).
I always tell people, if you really want to understand the essence of Producers Without Borders (PWB), watch the first six minutes of “The Godfather.” People laugh at the analogy, but in the first moments of that long, epic story you get the gist and spirit of what it’s all about…’Family’. Loving families always look out for each other, respect each other’s differences, protect each other in times of personal and professional weakness, work to resolve issues together, support each other’s vision, purpose, struggles and needs, whether they be financial or otherwise…and when all things are in tune, succeed in life together, not just in their jobs/careers. In your opinion, what are the invisible blessings that producers are gifted with through their profession?
I was taught everything I know about producing by my mentor, the two-time Oscar winning producer - Branko Lustig (Gladiator, Schindler’s List). He made it very simple; listen, don’t talk too much, don’t be afraid to ask questions when you don’t know something, address problems before they happen, be kind, respectful, and above all do WHATEVER it takes to deliver. That’s the only way people will remember you, if at all. The glory usually goes to the actor/actress or director…but a great producer works silently to put all the pieces together behind an invisible curtain of chaos.
The beautiful part about my relationship with such an iconic individual was how he showed me so much respect because he knew I was a neophyte. He cared for me immensely. He didn’t want me to get caught up in the technical aspects of producing. Rather, he wanted me to focus on a more mythical, humanistic approach of people management and the importance of nurturing and fostering relationships for the long term. Unfortunately, for old timers like me our world has changed and technology with its rapid assimilation into our daily lives has altered how we interact with one another. But I always go back to those quiet moments on his couch as we
gazed out towards his backyard in LA when he bestowed a treasure chest of his experiences and knowledge unto me. What was your main motivation to create Producers Without Borders?
Connecting people is like solving a jigsaw puzzle. I see people’s qualities and character in a three dimensional way, but my main focus is authenticity. Most people I meet are transactional…why do I need to know you and what will you do for me? These people are very easy to spot for me. Their personality and how they address and treat others is a big thing for me. If they don’t possess an inherent kindness, their selfish traits will surface and create non-binding relationships. Reading people is not an exact science but - I learned a lot from my late mother who was a tour de force psychiatrist. She saw right through people’s vulnerabilities and knew how to bring out the best in each individual, despite any flaws in character or personality. That’s my motivation and that’s what I seek…to bring more real people together to hopefully build a purposeful relationship together. We all have shortcomings, but how you balance it with your strengths is what makes you authentic. Due to the corporate sponsorship, you impact and improve various spheres of
life. This is brilliantly witnessed by the great event organised in sponsorship with the United Airlines and Radisson Hotel Group in the framework of 2023 Venice International Film Festival. What are you working at now?
We hold at least ten global events around the world yearly and are constantly searching for powerful entities and companies that fit within the ethos and matrix of trust that sponsors, such as United Airlines and Radisson Hotel Group, have provided for us. Our unified goals with the development of the network provides a blueprint for all other important sponsors, such as FilmChain which focuses on collection account management for filmmakers who seek more transparency in their payment schedule once their films are sold and distributed.
How would you like the Cannes Film Festival 2024 to be remembered and gone down in history?
Our annual flagship event is the Cannes Film Festival and this year we are holding three events for our most significant presence on the Croisette ever. It’s my 20th Cannes this year and I feel blessed to celebrate this anniversary edition as a memorable chapter in my life with all our network subscribers and sponsors. The gift of friendship and collaboration is an ever growing one when nurtured the right way. Cannes has been a very special place for me
since the genesis of PWB started there in 2015 as a series of educational seminars for filmmakers eager to learn about the process of making a film and bringing it to the most important film market in the world. Every filmmaker has dreamed of climbing those magical 24 steps with their film in competition with all the glory that the moment beholds from its famed history. How does the curation of individuals from different professions work with Producers Without Borders and how can people join you as a member subscriber? The alchemy of curation is something I learned as a former practicing criminal defense lawyer who shifted gears to the entertainment industry very early in my career. Once I identify a common denominator of skill sets in a person that I find complementary towards the needs of someone looking for that exact skill, I strategise about creating an organic connection. This is usually done by finding out what common hobbies and mutual interests may be congruent so I can casually set them together at one of our events without either party knowing why they are sitting there and who is sitting next to them. There’s a
lot more to the “secret sauce” of it all but rest assured - it’s a time-tested recipe. People can only join once they have adhered to the guidelines we set forth earlier (Attitude of Gratitude, Be Responsive, Pay it Forward), have a respectful and non-toxic attitude with a sincere desire to collaborate with one another, become a paid subscriber to the network and have been recommended by our most active and important members; all of this with the blessing of my esteemed Advisory Board. What are the main highlights and achievements that warm your soul and heart best of all?
My mother passed away last year, two months before the Cannes Film Festival. Her love and support for all I did elevated me to new heights during the most challenging moments of my life. She was a revered psychiatrist in Houston amongst her peers and the community she serviced for 40 years.
On Mother’s Day 2023, two days before Cannes started, I received a Google notice that I was credited as an Executive Producer on “Freud’s Last Session” starring legendary actor Sir Anthony Hopkins (playing as Freud himself, the father of psychoanalysis) and Matthew Goode (as CS Lewis). The film was released last Christ-
mas by Sony Pictures Classics. Moreover, PWB was credited for the first time on a movie as a participating organisation this is because seven producers from our network came together, through our events, to make the film happen. I only wish my mother was alive to have seen it when it was screened locally in her hometown. Other examples pale in comparison, but seeing people connect with such fervent joy at every one of our global events, while maintaining the quality and standards we set for ourselves always warms my heart. Producers Without Borders has the non-profit affiliation with Producers International Foundation regarding the Social Impact Entertainment aspect of the Network. How is it possible to make donation?
Parties can contribute to the Producers International Foundation by going to this website: www.lohas.org/client/producersinternational-foundation and selecting the “Donate Now” button. Notably, Producers International is a U.S.-based public charity and accepts tax-deductible donations and grants of both cash and assets. On this same website, there is also a place for interested contributors to ask any questions that they may have; and if there are specific projects or productions of Producers
Without Borders that parties would like to support. Their donations can be earmarked to fund those particular initiatives. Who can receive help from this kind of philanthropy?
The mission of the Producers International Foundation is to support international entertainment creatives with diverse backgrounds and expertise, helping those parties realise their creative visions and connect with global leaders delivering both education and financial enablement all with a message of authenticity. If you think that your project may align well with this mission, please
contact Producers Without Borders for further review.
Mr. Mashayekh, personally you and your work give almost limitless possibilities of life. You are endowed by God to make many people’s dream come true. Expressing our gratitude to you, we would like to finish the conversation with our signature question: What is luxury for you?
Freedom. The liberating feeling of a stress-free life in a nurturing, loving environment where time for your loved ones and self-care is limitless
Clarendelle & family company, Domaine Clarence Dillon
CINEMA CELEBRATION AT THE 96TH OSCARS®
For the second consecutive year, Clarendelle and family company, Domaine Clarence Dillon, a historic French wine group, are proud to be the official 2024 wine partners of the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures.
A family story
On March 10th, from the Oscars® ceremony at the Dolby® Theatre in Hollywood to the Governors Ball and extending to all other Oscar®-related events, including Oscars Night at the Museum, Clarendelle & Domaine Clarence Dillon wines will be the exclusive red and white wines poured for the stars of Hollywood. Clarendelle was created by Prince Robert of Luxembourg, representing the fourth generation in a family story that began with his great-grandfather’s purchase of the historic Château Haut-Brion in 1935. While primarily renowned for its excellence in the worlds of oenology and gastronomy, Domaine Clarence Dillon has long been a supporter of the arts, with Prince Robert’s early professional life even including screenwriting. Today, under Prince Robert’s leadership as Chairman & CEO, Domaine Clarence Dillon has grown to include three prestigious wine estates (Château Haut-Brion, Château La Mission Haut-Brion and Château Quintus). In 2015, the company opened a Paris restaurant, Le Clarence, proclaimed one of the 50 Best Restaurants in the World. The elegant and original restaurant has Finest Wines | “Art de Vivre”
enjoyed its two-star Michelin status since its opening. In the same year, “La Cave du Château” was launched, a unique fine wine merchant with an exceptional collection of wines and vintages that today enjoys four locations in Bordeaux and Paris, including its online presence.
Like the Academy Awards®, also steeped in a nearly century-long tradition, Clarendelle offers a contemporary expression of our times and the celebrated French “Art de Vivre.” The highly experienced Château Haut-Brion winemakers oversee the blending process for Clarendelle, vintage after vintage, as they do for the notorious Château La Mission Haut-Brion and Château Quintus estates. The Clarendelle bottles are then cellared before being released to the market when they are judged to have reached their ideal drinking age, offering the finest expression of their Bordeaux terroirs to wine lovers globally.
“Since its earliest days, our family company Domaine Clarence Dillon has been a fervent supporter and promoter of the arts both in France and on the international
stage,” says Prince Robert of Luxembourg. “With Clarendelle, we are thrilled and honoured to be part of the biggest night in Hollywood. We join the millions of viewers from all around the world to celebrate the outstanding achievements of the 96th Oscars nominees.”
“We are really looking forward to enjoying the exquisite menu from Chef Wolfgang Puck and his catering team, expertly paired with our wines,” continues Prince Robert.
The full list of Clarendelle & Domaine Clarence Dillon wines poured at all the Oscars events, catered by Wolfgang Puck Catering, includes: La Clarté de Haut-Brion 2017, La Chapelle de La Mission Haut-Brion 2010, Clarendelle Bordeaux Red 2016, Clarendelle Bordeaux White 2022. This year, there will be a special focus on the wines of Château La Mission Haut-Brion by highlighting the exceptionally rare La Clarté de Haut-Brion 2017 and pouring one of the best second wines ever produced at this famous estate: La Chapelle de La Mission 2010. “The finest La Chapelle de la Mission ever made.” Robert Parker, 93 points.

Veuve Clicquot
A COLOURFUL COLLABORATION
As Madame Clicquot used to say more than 200 years ago, “Our black grapes give the finest white wines” an affirmation that still rings true. Beloved for its versatility, the Pinot Noir grape expresses itself differently according to its growing conditions and the year in which it is harvested. La Grande Dame is the pinnacle of the Maison’s oenological prowess. For the 2015 vintage, Veuve Clicquot has chosen to work with the Italian de-
signer Paola Paronetto who has designed a limited edition of six gift boxes for Maison Veuve Clicquot in hues from her personal palette. Much like Madame Clicquot, Paola Paronetto is an intuitive innovator, revisiting techniques to create something new and unique. This collaboration brings together the champagne house’s tradition of excellence and the artist’s innovative approach to colour and form. The result is an exquisite homage to La Grande Dame.
Aston Martin
TWO-WHEELED LUXURY
Two British brands - Aston Martin and bicycle manufacturer J.Laverack have unveiled the .1R bicycle, that is very ambitiously positioned as “the most unique and most advanced... in the world,” and in which several innovative technical solutions are implemented. The frame is made from 3D printed titanium ends and carbon fibre tubes. This makes the bike very light and durable. It is stated that it will be an extensive
personalization programme. Every new owner will be invited to Aston Martin headquarters in Gaydon where they will conduct an individual “fitting” with the founders of J.Laverack, then customers can order the bike with different designs. Each example and its components are numbered, and with the J.Laverack Aston Martin .1R, owners will receive an aluminum or carbon storage case and a bicycle-themed pump with Alcantara or leather trim.
Bvlgari
ABOVE AND BEYOND THE RECORD
Released as part of Bvlgari’s 140th anniversary celebratory one of the coolest watches in the watch industry comes. It’s called the Octo Finissimo Sketch and features one of the most unique dials inspired by the hand-drawn sketches of the industrial designer Fabrizio Buonamassa Stigliani. The result feels almost like a skeletonised movement, and blends playfulness and smart looks nicely. The watch case has a 40mm with a 6.4 mm
thickness, and absurdly thin movement at just 2.3 mm. The display case back shows off the movement itself, which is remarkably similar to the sketch on the front. That case back is emblazoned with the words “Edizione Limitata”. The bottom reads “1884-2024”, which denotes the anniversary year. The first Octo Finissimo Automatic Sketch series will be available in two limited editions, 280 pieces in stainless steel and 70 in rose gold.
Brunello Cucinelli
The “Tennis Sets” capsule collection represents Brunello Cucinelli’s commitment to innovations. Along with classic tennis-inspired motifs and contemporary design, it offers a fresh perspective on sportswear, inviting individuals to embrace the elegance and sophistication synonymous with the Brunello Cucinelli brand. At the heart of the collection there is a timeless neutral palette that epitomizes the brand’s ethos
of understated luxury. Equally pivotal is the choice of fabrics selected for their superior comfort and refined aesthetic. The spacious and minimalist lines of this Tennis Tote bag are designed to add style to moments of relaxation and free time. The bag is made of canvas with leather trim and includes a tennis racket case made of the same refined materials. The logo with special embroidery completes the accessory with a personalized note.

Bugatti Home Collection
HIGH-END AESTHETIC
The Bugatti Home Collection is a new range of furniture and decor pieces for the home, designed to bring the automotive brand’s high-end aesthetic to any space. The collection was unveiled at Milan Design Week this year. Combining natural materials with more technological ones as well as transparency with solidity, it creates unique contrasts. The use of large glass pieces, a symbol of lightness and purity, in combination
with stronger industrial materials, emphasizes the lines and shapes of the products, some of them inspired by the famous Bugatti “C-line”. A choice of the most precious natural fabrics, such as cashmere, wool and silk, as well as leather, also adds materiality to the new pieces of a truly incomparable collection, that is an ode to craftsmanship and sophistication Bugatti while paying tribute to the most striking design elements of the brand.

Grande Charte
FLAMBOYANT PERFECTION
With a maturity that belies its youthful heritage, Grande Charte is not just a name, it’s the brazen revelation of prodigious talent to the world of wine.
Delicacy & freshness
Grande Charte is the first Born Organic house of Champagne ever created, which focuses exclusively on exceptional cuvées, available upon allocation. They are granted some of the highest scores by Masters of Wine and Sommeliers alike and have been described as some of the best vintages in the world. The house of Champagne benefits from the organic certificate since its inception. Every decision, every contribution, is guided by the commitment to provide the rarest and utmost quality to each allocation beneficiary, through meticulous selection of sourcing, perfectionist oenology, and thorough respect for nature: la signature de la Maison. The Champagne bottles of the Grande Charte are produced in limited quantities, resulting from an uncompromising selection of the finest supplies. They are designated for a limited global circle of private clients as well as a choice of few chefs’ ta-
bles of exceptional quality who they are attributed to in the form of a personal allocation. Each bottle is hand-numbered by the cellar master, for individual allocation to each client.
In 1114, the Grande Charte Champenoise was written by Bishop Guillaume de Champeaux. It lists the possessions of the abbey of Saint-Pierre-aux-Monts, which included vineyards still within the current AOC Champagne area more than 900 years later. Grande Charte House is a foundation rooted in the centuries-old history of the Champagne vineyards: the history of a land predestined for the exceptional. Cuvée after cuvée, within the Collection releases, Grande Charte uncover its origins. The GC-5 Collection unveils one of the first founders, and the following release will reveal the other founders including the close circle of super-skilled growers who offer their most precious pro-
duction to form the House cuvees. In addition to the Collection, we are currently aging in our cellar a cuvee which will be offered exclusively en magnum. Until this exciting moment comes, we will continue the Collection of cuvées reflecting Grande Charte’s philosophy of excellence: GC-4, GC-3, GC-2, GC-1 until finally La Grande Charte itself and its founders’ circle is fully revealed. Overall the wines display great purity, linear precision and intensity coupled with delicacy and freshness. The delicate almost ethereal mousse is a signature of the House. For Grande Charte, “Talent does not wait for the number of years”. Since the first cuvées were received they obtained some of the highest scores by Masters of Wine and Sommeliers alike and have been described as some of the best vintages in the world.

Amazónico Monte-Carlo
A MYRIAD OF FLAVOURS
Spring marks the beginning of a vibrant new dining experience in the heart of Monaco. Amazónico, the acclaimed Latin American restaurant, bar and lounge, is opening on the iconic Place du Casino in Monte-Carlo – joining Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer's already expansive culinary portfolio.
Unique aesthetic
Created in Madrid in 2016 by Sandro Silva and Marta Seco, and after partnering with D.ream International in 2017, Amazónico is now firmly established in London and Dubai, and will make its debut on the French Riviera. As guests enter Amazónico Monte-Carlo, they are greeted by a breathtaking roof terrace where the 180-cover restaurant overlooks the Place du Casino. From this vantage point, diners can enjoy watching the Monaco Grand Prix or toast champagne with friends as the sunsets. Additionally, the majestic roof terrace features a private dining space for up to 30 guests, as well as a Cigar Terrace on the opposite side along with stunning views of the Mediterranean. Guests can enjoy exotic dishes from the A La Carte and Sushi Menu, whilst sipping on unique cocktails, complemented by sounds from the
house band playing jazz, bossa nova, and Cuban rhythms. The menu, carefully curated by Sandro Silva, blends tropical and Latin American influences, creating a myriad of flavours reflecting the gastronomic heritage of the Amazon region. Guests can expect signature dishes, such as Ensalada Amazónica, mango, avocado, confit tomato, kalamansi, citrus; Arroz Chaufa, red, black, and white whole grain rice, duck breast, and a fried egg; Lubina Al Espeto, line-caught sea bass cooked over open fire; and Amazónico Maki, with mango, avocado, coconut, and cacao nibs. Alongside newer dishes designed specifically for the Monte-Carlo menu; Buñuelo, salted cod croquette, squid ink & yuzu aioli and Langosta Espinosa, Mediterranean langouste, green shiso butter, shichimi. As guests step inside the Lounge, they will be surrounded by a trop-
ical paradise of lush greenery and foliage. Marvel at the craftsmanship of our chefs behind the sushi counter where guests can sample Amazónico’s unique Crudos, Nigiris, Makis and more.
Making their way to the Bar, which will play host to high-octane resident DJs spinning tunes late into the night, the skilled bar team will be stirring and shaking cocktails featuring a range of signature tropical serves presented in ornate glassware. Loyal Amazónico guests might recognise the Leche de Panthera, Santiago de Cuba 11, Agricole rum, Manzanilla sherry, lime, white chocolate, spiced pineapple, coconut, turmeric; Monkey Business, Michter’s Rye Whisky, lemon, honey, fennel pollen, corn, ginger, banana, amongst new additions such as, Palomere, Clase Azul Anejo, Clase Azul pomegranate, Pink grapefruit soda, homemade pomegranate cordial, sea salt.
Tucked away down a leopard-print staircase, lies an intimate and discreet space, adorned with a mesmerising starlit ceiling, The Club. Ideal for revellers and night-owls alike, here, the lights are dimmed, the elec-tropical beats are turned up as the Amazónico jungle experience continues late into the night. At the helm of the design is the acclaimed Lázaro Rosa-Violán, an award-winning designer responsible for all Amazónico interiors internationally. Taking inspiration from undiscovered landscapes in the Amazon, he utilises natural materials throughout the venue to achieve a unique aesthetic. The result is a larger-than-life, vibrant Amazónico that delves deep into the rainforest. The layout of each Amazónico invites discovery, with a design that flows from the bar through the lounge, sushi counter, and restaurant, welcoming guests on a sensory exploration reminiscent of the flow of the Amazon River. With a culinary legacy spanning over 150 years, Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer boasts 33 restaurants and bars, culminating in a total of seven Michelin stars. The opening of Amazónico Monte-Carlo amplifies its culinary offerings and serves as a testament to the group’s unwavering commitment to the art of living and gastronomy.
NIJŪ
MEMORABLE GUEST EXPERIENCES
In London’s Japanese Grill & Sushi Bar NIJŪ, you can indulge on an array of Japanese delicacies, through heartwarming and traditional Japanese flavours where every dish is prepared with love and care.
This is something special
According to Alex D’Aguiar – Managing Director of Creative Restaurant Group – “Leading a restaurant group that is fully focused on creating amazing brands, working with creative people, creating a dynamic culture and memorable guest experiences is what defines hospitality for me.”
The venue itself boasts new and innovative dining spaces, designed to cater to various preferences and group sizes, a beautiful 16-sitter private dining room and hideaway-”living room”-style cocktail bar, Nipperkin which has launched a new bar programme “Future Past”, an innovative drinks menu and selection of expertly curate cocktails showcasing the best quality UK foraged and sourced ingredients enhanced by Japanese touches and complimented by a delicious selection of Japanese Sandos on the bar food menu from the NIJŪ kitchen.
The drinks programme created by award winning mixologist Angelos Bafas and his team offers an innovative direction where the new menu draws inspiration from the past while boldly envisioning the future and is made up for four broken chapters focused on “the skill of foraging”, “home grown ingredients”, “the process of preservation” and “supporting the community”.
Highlights on the cocktail menu include innovative twists on old school classics such as the “Ramson Martini” an exceptional ultra-savoury and umami martini made with wild garlic leaves and
foraged truffles. As the seasons change, this Martini will evolve to make the most of the in-season ingredients and produce. The iconic “Black Mustard” returns as it showcases our homegrown herbs from our very own indoor garden. This drink is the perfect blend example of the marriage of NIJŪ and Nipperkin as it uses a distillate of wasabi, which is grown in England alongside its homegrown black mustard leaves. Non-alcoholic options will also be available such as the “Lemon Verbena” made from Warner’s 0% gin, Lemon verbena non-alcoholic spirit, hand-picked lemon verbena, sour agent and ginger kombucha. Complimentary to the cocktails, this hidden gem with uncompromising quality has a menu selection of delicious Japanese-inspired Sandos.
There is also a dedicated section specifically for sushi bar, where guests have a front-row seat to the mesmerising artistry of sushi chefs. Offering “Katei Ryori”-style cooking, meaning “home cooked food from the heart” in Japanese, this restaurant is ingredient led and prides itself on creating dishes using seasonal produce and culinary experimentation. NIJŪ and Nipperkin are organically combined and form a Japanese restaurant complex, which will
undoubtedly make an indelible impression on visitors.
Crafted by renowned executive chef Chris Golding and sushi chef David Bury, and overseen by the expertise of Endo Kazutoshi, a third generation sushi chef of the Michelin star Endo at the Rotunda, the restaurant menu is a celebration of exquisite flavours and impeccable execution, where every bite is a journey to the heart of culinary perfection. It is a menu that seamlessly marries authenticity with a contemporary flair, curetting the freshest sushi, sashimi, signature dishes from the robata grill. NIJŪ’s menu showcases the essence of Japanese culinary artistry with dishes including Wagyu Beef Tartare, Tuna Tataki, Iberico Pork with Apple Barley Miso, Hamachi “bang, bang” salad to Shokupan
Pardu, Ginger & Rhubarb dessert.
NIJŪ also features the traditional and most popular type of Japanese grill, the Konro Grill. The hot Konro Grill temperatures trap moisture within the meat, cooking it perfectly. Dishes served on NIJŪ’s bespoke made Konro Grill include A4 Wagyu Sirloin, Iberico Pork and Beef Fillet on the bone. NIJŪ uses its own special charcoal mix of binchotan, briquette & cherry wood on the grill.
According to Endo Kazutoshi – Culinary Director of Creative Restaurant Group“The spirit of harmony between guest and host encompasses every detail and is present in every act. Within myself too, exists this same harmony, this time between tradition and innovation, that imbues every aspect of my craft.”

To dine at the Polo Lounge is to be connected with Hollywood’s earliest days, its Golden Era, and a bright future. Power portals at the Polo Lounge: Then and now, the place to be. lin to Marlene Dietrich to Elizabeth Taylor hold court from their favourite tables. It’s where Oscar’s legendary favourites from past and present celebrate after the Academy Awards ceremonies. There are, of course, “power zones” at the Polo Lounge – places traditionally regarded as the best spots to be seated and noticed. The bar is one of them. Notice the picture of Will Rogers and Darryl Zanuck playing polo behind the bar! Rogers and Zanuck hung out at the bar when they weren’t playing polo. In fact, the Polo Lounge was named in honour of the polo players who toasted victories at the restaurant after matches in the bean fields.
Table six: Marilyn’s Favorite - A longtime guest of the hotel, Marilyn would often vis-
it the Polo Lounge and would request table six so she could see the patio and face the Brazilian Pepper Tree. She loved fish, pasta, ice cream sundaes and of course Dom Perignon.
Table two: Frank Sinatra - The world’s most beloved “Chairman of the Board,” inarguably one of the greatest entertainers of all time, frequented the hotel. When not engaged in prodigious drinking bouts in the Polo Lounge bar with his Rat Pack buddies, ‘old blue eyes preferred dining at Table 2.
Table eight: Elizabeth Taylor - Known as one of the greatest screen actresses of Hollywood’s Golden Age, this world famous film star had a long history with the Pink Palace, beginning with her father Francis Taylor owning an art gallery on the hotel’s lower Promenade level. When not celebrating six of her eight honeymoons in her favourite Bungalow, #5, she was a regular at Table 8.
Pretty in Pink: The Polo Lounge patioWith its spectacular array of palm trees and flowers in brilliant shades of pink and rose – azaleas, bougainvillea vines, camellias, impatiens, star jasmine, and more –the patio at the Polo Lounge is one of Los Angeles’s premier and prettiest outdoor dining settings.
Sunday Brunch at the Polo Lounge, besides breakfast, lunch, and dinner menus, the Polo Lounge offers a three-course
Sunday Brunch, served on the sun-kissed patio amidst an array of colourful flowers from 11:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. The Sunday Brunch is accompanied by a live performance of light jazz music.
The Polo Lounge features more than 250 different kinds of wine from around the world. California, French, and Italian wines are especially well-represented. There are specialty Single-Malt Scotches, Cognacs, and Ports, as well. Tri-colour tortilla chips, fresh guacamole, salsa, are a cocktail-hour tradition.
Overall, the Polo Lounge menu emphasizes a wide choice of sophisticated foods in beautiful presentations. Health-conscious diners will appreciate the abundance of grilled items, vegetables, fish, and seafood on the menu. There is a rigorous insistence upon utmost quality for both ingredients and methods of preparation. In addition, the Polo Lounge maintains its own incredible herb garden on the grounds of The Beverly Hills Hotel and does all of its own baking.
While most Polo Lounge menu items reflect cutting-edge culinary taste, longtime patrons can spot fondly-remembered dishes as the Polo Lounge “favourites.” Included are The McCarthy Salad; the Beef Sirloin Burger; Steak Tartare, the Tortilla Soup and for dessert the Chocolate Soufflé. The Polo Lounge offers breakfast, lunch and dinner daily, and Sunday Brunch.

Ivory
THE FUTURE OF WORKSPACES IS CHANGING
Improving life
Each design is unique
Our conversation with CEO of Ivory, Sergio Jimenez spreads light to the most special features of the company where everything is done with the attention to the smallest details. Mr. Jimenez started on this design path in Madrid (Spain) more than 10 years ago. Throughout his career he has carried out large projects with which he has improved the lives of workers and has also helped entrepreneurs to obtain better results, by retaining talent in the offices, providing greater productivity, energy savings, and better collaboration between different departments on account of the good use of space and facilities. At Ivory, no detail escapes them, since it is not just a matter of putting a range of beautiful colours, but also that of scientific approach behind each distribution and each choice of furniture. In their team they have experts in office consulting who study in detail what is the best solution for each company, uniquely, therefore, each design is also unique. “We create spaces with soul”
Mr. Jimenez explains to us that Ivory refers to each project as “we create spaces with soul”. “At Ivory, we always look for the brand identity of the companies. We create unique spaces, we never repeat a design. Our goal is to create challenging, specific, and achievable interiors for companies, and to cultivate courage and curiosity to reflect on the future. This way we can actively evaluate the results as the project progresses.
After the pandemic, work environments will never be the same again, we have seen this in London, the British capital and one of the cities with the biggest number of offices in the world. In this line, we can talk about the office complex “Canary Wharf” which was created and designed for this purpose; since the invention of work from home, we see how more and more companies are disappearing and moving to smaller and more open spaces in the city.
One of the big news was that the HSBC bank building was to be converted, possibly into a hotel”, says Mr. Jimenez.
What is happening? Are offices going to disappear then?
Mr. Jimenez states: ”Not at all, they are simply re-adapting to the new needs of the market, people need more dynamic, collaborative spaces, where the worker feels at ease as if he were at home, and can feel that he is developing both professionally and personally, this is what will maintain greater productivity and better performance in their tasks generating greater benefits for the company.”
The creation of the Well Building Standard as a sustainability tool
When we talk about re-adaptation, Sergio tells us that for more than 3 years Ivory has been growing, since it has a system they call Well Building Standard, a method they launched in 2014 for the first time, based on their long experience, and which collects the criteria to be evaluated to verify if a building is healthy and sustainable.
More than one hundred aspects of the building are evaluated: air, water, food, light, movement, thermal comfort, sound, materials, community, spirit, and others. In this way, they anticipate the needs of their clients and the market.
“A work environment that supports the physical and mental well-being of the worker contributes to reducing work-related accidents and illnesses,” Sergio tells us. Companies are demanding services focused on reconciling their personal and work life, such as nurseries, gyms, green areas, restaurants, public transport, and carsharing... Wellness is essential to promote the health and happiness of employees, improve the quality of services, increase productivity, and strengthen the company’s competitive position.
Ivory’s international expansion
Ana Pastor, settled in London in 2020 to develop professionally in the field of architecture and new technologies in design and sustainability. She has been able to see these changes firsthand, and this has given her the necessary experience to support Ivory in this new stage as they become a registered trademark at the international and European level, they can address projects not only in Spain but worldwide. Their main focus of expansion is the UK market for 2024, and they have bigger plans for 2025. They have already opened an office in Dubai and also focused on the real estate market.
Find out how you can get more profitability to your business thanks to the study and good design of your work environment, trust in professionals, visit their social networks and their website.
When talking about workspaces, Ivory comes to mind. Ivory has more than 10 years of experience in the field of architecture and office design for international companies. Today they explain how, due to the new designs of workspaces, you can benefit from these advances, and how to get ahead of the future thanks to design and good taste.

Holiday Cabaret
PALM BEACH’S SOCIAL SEASON
The 6th annual Holiday Cabaret was an international celebration of talent and generosity, benefiting A Safe Haven for Newborns, whose mission is to eliminate infant abandonment. Nicholas Silverio founded the organisation over 20 years ago, and thanks to his efforts, there are 401 infants on earth who may not otherwise have a chance for LIFE! Babies are saved literally from being “discarded”, while pregnant women and girls with nowhere to turn are supported. Global Event Producer Lexye Aversa created the event to raise funds and visibility. When she met “Uncle Nick”, his mission became hers. She proudly launches the Palm Beach social season with her heartwarming charity Holiday Cabaret LEXtravaganza at the iconic Mar-a-Lago Club. Serving as Chairperson, Lexye brought back His Highness Dr. Prince Mario-Max Schaumburg-Lippe to share the stage as her “royal” co-emcee. The celebrity film/TV personality is in demand as a host of pageants,
awards shows and fashion weeks from New York to Hollywood. A full programme of pageantry dazzled guests throughout the festive reception and luncheon. Superstar Nick Casciaro graced the stage as the featured performer; Lexye flew him in from his native Italy to light up the Holiday Cabaret. Winner of X-Factor Romania, Nick’s voice and showmanship first mesmerized guests, then had them disco dancing! A highlight of his concert was a special serenade to models in magnificent creations by couture designer Odalys Marino for a truly unique fashion show. Songstress Cecilia Roy and Ballet Palm Beach also performed. A powerful video was moderated by Ali, a young vivacious woman, who was found as an infant in a Budweiser box in a dumpster! A touching invocation was delivered by Father Mark Leondis, of Boca Raton’s St. Mark Greek Orthodox Church, which has raised significant funds and held “baby showers” for A Safe Haven for Newborns infants and moms!
A riveting story of the meaning of birth was delivered by Rabbi Moshe Scheiner of the Palm Beach Synagogue. Compelling remarks were shared about our responsibility to children by Mark Donohue (The Donohue Group, JP Morgan, Corporate Sponsor). Lexye recognised other Sponsors and Chairpersons including philanthropists Leandro and Denise Rizzuto as well as Erika Rizzuto, International Honorary Chairperson. Heartfelt gratitude was expressed to Louis and Helen Nicozisis, Humanitarian Chairperson and former Honoree, Arlette Gordon Palm Beach Chairperson and former Honoree, Cultural Ambassadors Jim and Michele Williford, Global Ambassadors Philip and Tikky Nicozisis, National Chairpersons Alan and Joy Marks, Chairman of the Arts Lady Mignon Gardner, Benevolent Chairperson Suzi Yelvington, and loyal supporters Janet Levy and Sher Kasun. In 2023, Accord Productions launched the “Uncle Nick” in Coral Gables, sharing a documentary on his selfless work and noble mission, also recognised by a Humanitarian Proclamation from the Pope. Nick founded A Safe Haven for Newborns after his wife Gloria was killed in a severe car accident by a speeding driver. What Gloria loved most was helping children, and although unable to have their own, they were Godparents to 14 children. Nick knew he wanted to focus on charitable works in Gloria’s memory and discovered that the Florida Legisla-
ture had passed a Safe Haven Law in July 2000. He found his new purpose in life, establishing the Gloria M. Silverio Foundation, a Florida 501(c)(3) in Miami, with its major project “A Safe Haven for Newborns” in response to the ongoing tragedy of newborn abandonment. The expanse of their reach is vast, immersed in 67 Florida Counties, collaborating with other State organisations and agencies, while establishing a 24/7 referral helpline, establishing a volunteer network, and involving media. Their decal is prominent on firehouses and hospitals throughout Florida. Lexye is planning an Autumn family LEXperience presenting a “Community Celebration” of food and festivities at a West Palm Beach car dealership honouring local Firefighters and Police; admission price will simply be ordering a license plate with the Safe Haven logo template! The 2024 Holiday Cabaret will again dazzle the senses with music, talent and purpose. When Lexye conducted the Live Auction and Call from the Heart last year, she launched a Capital Campaign for a dedicated headquarters to carry on Nick’s work and legacy of the organisation for generations to come. “Bricks of Hope” will transform into an expanded home for the future of A Safe Haven for Newborns, ensuring lives for those not yet born!
