History and architecture Shevchenkivskyi Hai (Shevchenko’s Grove) It’s an open-air museum, an ethnic park that exhibits Ukrainian houses of the past and is located 3 km from the city center. Immerse yourself in Ukrainian traditions: workshops on soap making, hay dolls, blacksmithing, pottery, archery, horseback riding etc. Ukrainian Cossacks will treat you with the real Cossack food prepared on an outdoor stove.

Coffee and chocolate Lviv coffee shops The coffee tradition in Lviv dates back to 17th c. when Lvivian Yuriy-Franz Kulchytskyi brought coffee to Europe, namely Vienna. There are about 1,500 restaurants, coffee shops and confectionaries in Lviv.

Beer and savories Beer Lviv beer is one of the most popular beers in Ukraine. The tradition of brewing beer was started by the monks in the 15th century and it is also followed by restaurateurs. Nowadays, apart from Lviv country-known and the oldest brewery, there are about 5 restaurants/pubs in the city that have their own brewery on the premises.

Beer museum Since the 15th century beer has become a part of the culture of the city. It was so good that shortly it became popular not only in Ukraine, but also in the Austro-Hungarian Empire, and later in the Soviet Union. In the beer museum you can learn about the history of brewing, and try famous Lviv beer (Lvivske) that was brewed in Lviv since 1715. 8


Beer and savories Galician cuisine The local cuisine has been preserved and is cherished by Lviv families in restaurants and during various food events in the city.

Lviv on the Plate Taste the dishes of Lviv cuisine, traditional beverages and regional seasonal products. During the Festival you can also take part in a debate over modern local cuisine. The whole feast is accompanied by the traditional Lviv music that creates a special atmosphere.
