UMDLOTI takes its name from the Umdloti River. At the river mouth is a spacious lagoon and the holiday resort of Umdloti, with guesthouses B&B’s and holiday apartments, overlooking the beach and a rockenclosed tidal pool.

Scenic nature trails, horse trails and bird watching are available for those needing a day of escape to pristine natural surrounds.
