Education Committee (RECA)

Coordinates education programs and hires instructors for new member classes, designation courses and other continuing education offerings. Governmental Affairs Committee monitors issues affecting home ownership and the real estate industry. It establishes relationships with area legislators. Grievance/Professional Standards Committees

The Grievance Committee reviews ethics complaints and requests for arbitration from agents or the public and determines whether they merit a hearing. The group also processes complaints that are suitable for the Citation System whereby a member agrees to pay a fine in lieu of the hearing process. Members of Professional Standards Committee holds hearings to determine whether violations of the Code of Ethics have occurred or to resolve procuring cause issues. Membership on either group requires an annual training session and three years experience as an agent. Caseload dictates Grievance Committee meetings and professional standards hearings.
