Maclay’s Upper School Dance Marathon club raised a total of $75,327.03 during the 2020-2021 year. Congratulations to all “dancers” and participants, including our Middle School, who held a mini-marathon again this year.
Food Waste Drive
Upper School Students Make Sure No Child Sleeps on the Floor Upper School hosted a Community Service Week this year which included collected donations for the non-profit organization, Sleep in Heavenly Peace (SHP). Once all the donations were in, our students were able to donate five sets of bedding to Sleep in Heavenly Peace.
Students brought in 333 pounds of food waste goods, beating Leon High School in raising a higher amount of food. The Upper School also won a dress-down day for their success.
EAGLE PROJECT IS A BIG HIT 12
Two junior students in the Upper School, Duel Yearty and Stuart Higdon chose Maclay Middle School as the beneficiary of their Eagle Scout Project. Middle schoolers now have the pleasure of enjoying their “gaga ball ring” during break time, which was a huge hit with the students.
