YO U T H M E D I A & TECH CAMP Kids in grades 1st through 8th learn about filmmaking using iMovie, GarageBand, iStopMotion, green screen and more! During a weeklong session, campers collaborate to scriptwrite, storyboard, direct, and produce original short movies. At the end of each week campers show off their work at the family screening and receive a DVD of their movie.

TEEN PRODUCERS PROJECT Since 2001, the Teen Producers Project at the Media Arts Center San Diego has produced films that have screened all over the country and on TV. Each session teaches the art of film and journalism to teens that work together to create original films about community issues and current events.

I. VIDEO PRODUCTION

Tuesdays: April 9th, 16th, & 23rd

This 3 part series (Tuesdays: April 9th, 16th, & 23rd) will provide students with the confidence to shoot, light and package their content for post - production. You will produce, shoot and edit a short piece that you can edit, and use for your reel. We will break off into groups and you can choose from shooting a short documentary, film, music video & commercial.

II. ACTORS: CREATING A DEMO REEL Wednesday, April 24th

Actors need to get noticed & this class will show you how. The more professional you reel looks, the more interest you’ll get.

III. INTRO TO GRAPHIC DESIGN (photoshop & illustrator) Thursdays: April 11th, 18th, and 25th

Graphic Design comes in all shapes, colors and sizes. Photoshop and Illustrator are a primary tool to create work for web, print, and animation. In this course, you will learn the difference between Photoshop and Illustrator, their advantages and when to use them. Get hands on experience designing while getting an introductory taste into the world of design.
