ABOUT RIZ Z HE L JAV I E R Rizzhel Mae Javier is a born and raised San Diego native. In the spring of 2007, she graduated with a BFA in Studio Art and returned to San Diego in the fall of 2007 to be with her family and to start the MFA program at San Diego State University. Rizzhel has worked in the photography field as an art-maker, teacher and constant student. Her work primarily consists of photography using alternative processes. The life span of her work examines the self and human interaction in relationship to culture, society and self-reflection.

FINDING RESOLUTION THROUGH DANCE

DOS HERMANOS Marcos and Susana, both in their sixties, are brother and sister. Their lifestyles and temperaments are completely different, but they feel obligated to mend their tattered relationship due to the death of their mother. BOULEVARD NIGHTS JUNE 15, 2012 The first quarterly Boulevard Nights was a blast! The Media Arts Center San Diego and our neighbors- the Coffee & Tea Collective and the Homebreweropened the doors for a night of music, film, art, and fun! MACSD featured films created by the Teen Producers Project and art from Hoover High Students. There was even a barbeque to show off our new outdoor community space and a photo studio in the ‘green screen’ room! MACSD would like to thank everyone for coming out and for your continued support of our programs and our mission.
