do something good today.

help MACSD provide the opportunity to send 55 youth to our summer media camp for free MACSD is seeking donations for a first-ever “Summer Scholarship Fundraiser for our year-round Youth Media & Tech Camps (www. mediaartscenter.org/mediacamp). Help us reach our goal of $10,000, so we can provide 55 youth with a chance to attend our camps, meet new friends, learn new skills, and more! The camps offer children in San Diego County an opportunity to learn about media arts and technology tools to use in their everyday lives, school, and future careers. For many of these youth, these types of tools and much-needed technology training is no longer offered in their schools due to the on-going school budget crisis.

TAKE BACK THE ALLEY www.mediaartscenter.org/takebackthealley

BEFORE

WE’RE TAKING IT BACK!

On May 31st, volunteers from Qualcomm and around the community came to the Center and began transforming the back parking lot into a new usuable outdoor space. Local artist, Isaias Crow, painted the mural on the back facade and volunteers helped him with finishing touches. Trees were planted, a fence was erected, and the brick wall was spackled and painted for outdoor movie screenings! This is an exciting time for the Media Arts Center and we want YOU to get involved! The next ‘Take Back the Alley’ will be held June 2 from 9am-1pm. www.mediaartscenter.org/takebackthealley
