Branding must reflect the concept by reminding viewers of the smooth ripples smooth water creates. Reflecting the central motif, the branding represents the smooth connection between departments departments to represent how NEXT NEXT, as a company, is encouraged to flow. Boston is known as the “hub of the universe” for many reasons, but mainly because it is humanity driven driven throughout the city. With the Bostonians and visitors in mind, the city is ripe with gathering p aces places that encourage well-being and connectedness connectedness. One such gathering place is the Boston Common Boston Common, the first public park in America. Echoed throughout the design of next is the ripple effects ripple effects seen in these still lagoons seen in these still lagoons, flowing continually outward when propagated, causing a a chain reaction reaction from the the start ng point onward starting point onward.

Design Intent

The design for next is based on the unique unique, ever-changing ever-changing, and organically formed ripple effect formed ripple effect that is created in water. A variety of seating arrangements are offered to encourage nexters to have options based off of their preferences.

Moveable power strips are implemented into the space to provide power sources as needed.

Operable shades are included to provide users the freedom to shift the lighting coming in as needed.

Carpet tiles are provided under the table to reduce foot noise while also minimizing noise towards the outside.

Pin-up/ writeable boards are provided for informational purposes during meetings to aid in visual needs.

HDVC telepresence technology is implemented to allow virtual and in-person meetings to be functional.

Cae um Residences of Austin, Texas is inspired Caelum Residences of Austin, Texas is by the solar transit ons which directly correlate the solar transitions which correlate w th the three main goa s of this assisted living with the three main goals of this assisted facility: connection hea ing and restoration connection, healing, and restoration. Healing Restoration Connection

Although the elderly can heal most wounds, they have a slower healing process, and all phases of wound healing are affected. The inflammatory response is decreased or delayed, as is the proliferative response.

Introduction to modern technology, new friends/ community, and private bathing are efforts for restoration in elders. The three each establishes movements of independence in a senior citizens' life.

Color theory is defined as “a body of practical guidance to color mixing and the visual effects of a specific color combination”. This piece of furniture, known as “Aura” is a physical representation of color theory and the effect that color can have on human well-being. Additionally, being that color and interior design go hand in hand, paint becomes a large part of the equation. “Aura” utilizes paint stirs and paint swatches to emphasize this idea in combination with color theory. These stirs and swatches play a large role in formulating and selecting colors in interior design, becoming an integral part of the design process.
