Brand Vision

Caelum Residences of Austin, Texas is inspired by the solar transitions which directly correlate with the three main goals of this assisted living facility: connection, healing, and restoration. The dawn spaces, which center on the connection the residents will make within Caelum, will heavily feature warm wood materials and neutral tones to act as a link between the day and night spaces. The day areas will include bright blue-green paint tones, which highlight the healing purposes these spaces are designed for, balanced by the cool grey and tan upholstery materials. Finally, the darker hues and more lush materials used in the night areas will promote the restoration the residents seek after they complete a full solar rotation.

Introduction to modern technology, new friends/ community, and private bathing are efforts for restoration in elders. The three each establishes movements of independence in a senior citizens' life.

Loneliness and isolation introduce many health care problems for aging adults. Engaged in a community provides positive connections to and promote overall impaired health.

Dawn Day Night Connection Healing Restoration

As night meets day, dawn is the arbiter of their connection. Filled with the possibility of newness, the serenity of dawn is curiosity and hope as the luxury of night turns to the day.

A new day offers the opportunity for fresh beginnings and a journey toward healing. When people think of “daytime” it is synonymous with reaching goals and optimizing the given hours.

While the finality of the night means the completion of another day, it also represents the chance to indulge in relaxation and begin restoration for whatever comes next.
