It’s WORLD ROTARACT WEEK! From March 11 to 17, the more than 200,000 Rotaractors from all over the world will celebrate the 45th year of the Rotaract Club program! What a great way to celebrate this but with a joint meeting of Rotarians and the top Rotaract Clubs of District’s 3810
and 3830 and with a featured speaker that is a great supporter of the New Generations Programs. Dear Rotarians and Rotaractors, let us meet our Magical Speaker for tonight:
DGN EDMOND AGUILAR Fellow Rotarians, our speaker is a man who prefers a short introduction. It is a quality that speaks of great men in history. Short introductions stir the imagination and make room for greater appreciation. Let me therefore be brief in giving you a picture of his life as a Rotarian.
achievements in Rotary’s Avenues of Service, he earned numerous awards which include Most Outstanding Rotarian, Most Distinguished Club Officer and Most Outstanding Club Adviser awards. He was also honored with a special recognition in the avenue of International Service.
He was inducted as a member of the Rotary Club of Chinatown Manila in 1996 during the term of District Governor Willy Segovia. Since then his world has never been the same again. Through his active participation in all club activities the Spirit of Rotary began to consume him and fanned his passion for service that inspired him to accept leadership roles which molded him into the Rotary leader that he is today.
In RY 2004-2005, the Centennial year of Rotary International, he was elected club president and served under the leadership of District Governor Joel G. Tinitigan. He garnered the Overall Most Outstanding President and the Overall Most Outstanding club. His tremendous success as a club president provided him with the opportunity to serve our district effectively in different leadership roles.

HAPPY 45TH BIRTHDAY ROTARACT! It’s Rotaract’s 45th birthday! Celebrate World Rotaract Week, 11-17 March, with a service project that brings Rotarians and Rotaractors together to take action in your community. Afterwards, the Rotary club president or district Rotaract chair can download a certificate recognizing the Rotaract club’s participation. Rotaract clubs are either community or university based and sponsored by a local Rotary club. World Rotaract Week, 11-17 March, commemorates the 1968 chartering of the first club, in North Carolina, USA.
Ukraine young people serve their communities through Rotaract Rotary News -- 11 March 2013 Two decades after the first Rotary club was chartered in Ukraine, the country’s youth have embraced Rotary in a big way. “This week, Rotaract clubs are asked to partner with their sponsor Rotary clubs on a service project and to encourage a nearby Rotary club to sponsor a new Rotaract club in the area. Also, members of the Rotaract and sponsor clubs are encouraged to attend each other's meetings.”
Ukraine now has 24 Rotaract clubs — Rotary’s service clubs for people ages 18 to 30 — many of them focusing on the challenges facing the country today. In Kyiv, Rotaractors in the capital city’s four clubs collaborate often on service projects, including a campaign to draw attention to the plight of stray animals. Members of the Rotaract Club of Kyiv Multinational take time to honor their elders (see gallery above):
For nearly three years, they’ve been visiting a nursing home in Peremoha, about 40 miles away. “These are the people who did their best for future generations, for us, to live in a free country,” says club treasurer and past president Taras Mytkalyk. “We wanted to fill their lives with a feeling of being needed.” The Rotaract Club of KyivCentre promotes health and wellness through an HIV awareness campaign, and has worked with Rotaract clubs in Russia, Belarus, Germany, and Romania to raise over US$13,000 to equip a medical center in a
