Kenmore Lodge 2022 Magic Millions graduate Run Harry Run has lived up to his name, running to impressive victories in all three of his last four lifetime starts, culminating in a stylish win in the 1400m Gr3 Blue Sapphire S at Caulfield in the Spring. He should arguably be unbeaten and is a testament to the horsemanship of Cameron and Kellie Bond who offered him at Magic Millions. His owners are just as delighted as Run Harry Run has already amassed $408K in prizemoney, more than recouping his sale price of $280K. And he’s not done yet.
With horses like Gr1 winner Winning Ways, Playing God, and Tyzone coming off the farm at Kenmore Lodge in Queensland’s Darling Downs, both Cameron and Kellie prefer their horses do the talking for them. Experienced across a broad range of equine pursuits, the Bonds offer the full range of sale preparation and education to clients and have topped the Magic Millions 2YOs in Training Sale on several occasions. Listed placed winning three year old Artillery is a recent Kenmore graduate, as is city winning two year-old Fleetwood.

Kenmore Lodge have a reputation for finding good types over flashy pedigrees, and it makes for common sense to inspect all their draft, not just the ones mentioned here with commercially exciting pedigrees. Two colts with outstanding pedigrees are both by four-time Champion Sire Snitzel; Lot 1004, is the first foal of winning mare Never Listen who ran second in the Gr1 VRC Oaks, and is a half sister to Listed winner Rose of Peace. Exciting Gr1 4th three year-old Coeur Volante is closely related. This colt’s second dam, Gr2 winner Rose of War, also ran second in the Gr1 VRC Oaks and is a half-sister to three other stakes winners, while third dam, Savana City won the Gr1 AJC Oaks.
A half-brother to Listed winner Ranch Hand (Fastnet Rock) who ran fourth in the Gr1 Coolmore Stud Stakes is Lot 933, a Snitzel colt out of city winner of six races Mezulla (Shamardal). Mezulla is a daughter of group placed winning mare Vamperalla.
A Russian Revolution filly, Lot 103, has bucket loads of residual value, being the first foal of a winning half-sister to group winner Summer Monsoon, from the Redoute’s Choice family. Lot 407 is a Better Than Ready filly out of group winner Aimee whose first foal is a winner this season.
Lot 134 is a North Pacific half-brother to Magic Millions Guineas winner Fashion Legend from the family of Gr1 winner Wrap Around; while a Pierata half-brother to Gr2 Karrakatta Plate winner Whispering Brook is Lot 1043. Hong Kong’s brilliant Cordyceps
Six’s half-sister by Power is Lot 1363; while Lot 1431 is by Zousain from Gr3 winner The Filly. A Dubious half-brother to Listed winner My Khalifa is Lot 1292.
Exceedance began his career in spectacular fashion when his first runner, Dublin Down, won the Gr3 Maribyrnong Plate, and Kenmore Lodge have an Exceedance colt, Lot 1090, out of winning mare Chemistry (Shamardal) who is a daughter of Oaks placed winner Tick By.
Spirit of Boom is one of Queensland’s best stallions, and Kenmore Lodge have a colt, Lot 1019, by him who is the third foal of tough race mare Now You See who won seven races and is closely related to Outback Barbie (Spirit of Boom), while the filly, Lot 1428, is from the family of recent Gr1 winner Tom Kitten.
A pair of Capitalist fillies are sure to catch the eye; Lot 185 is the second foal of winning mare Shining Eagle, a half-sister to stakes winner Being Fabulous, and both are out of Gr1 winner Dashing Eagle, while Lot 827 is the second foal of a winning daughter of Gr1 winner Trust Antonia. Don’t make the mistake of overlooking those yearlings we didn’t have enough space to cover in this article. There’s bound to be a gem of an athlete among Kenmore Lodge’s 39 yearlings and good judges will find them.
