There is nothing like a fresh start. New Year, new magazine, and we are excited to present the best weddings of 2017 all wrapped up in a beautiful bow. As we embark on our 10th year of Maharani Weddings, and our 7th magazine, we think about ways we can raise the bar higher than we ever dreamed it could be. So, we are going to stretch ourselves this year and launch a new blog dedicated to Indian weddings from India. When we set out to create Maharani Weddings in 2008 it was to inspire Indian brides from all over the world. And, what better way to bring new heights of creativity than to help our readers infuse more meaning and traditions from the motherland here in the West. Stay tuned for more bling, more brides, and more beautiful weddings from places like Goa, Jaipur, and Chennai. In this issue, we have gathered the most breathtaking weddings from around the globe. Every single wedding pushes the edge of inventiveness and design. Whether it’s Rishi and Anshul’s Lake Como wedding that looks like it belongs to movie stars, or Seema and Mitesh’s New Jersey wedding that is brimming with eye candy, every single wedding we have compiled takes our breath away. DREAMY LAKE COMO has always been a retreat for artists, writers, and royalty, so it was the perfect place for Rishi and Anshul to host their decadent Indian wedding. The outdoor ceremony took place lakeside at the Villa Pizzo, and featured breathtaking views of Italian landscapes and architecture. Their celebration contained so many chic European touches, such as buckets of chilled Bellavista champagne and a sleek Vespa scooter for the bride and groom to zip across the expansive villa grounds.

However, most beautiful of all was Maharani Anshul, who was adorned in couture bridal fashions from Naeem Khan and Shayamal & Bhimika throughout her wedding weekend. Her ruby red ceremony lehenga made her resemble a Bollywood screen siren, and was striking against the cool hues of Lake Como. For her reception soiree, Anshul chose an angelic, white reception gown accessorized with glittering bangles, culminating in the perfect combination of Eastern meets Western fashion. After the dreamy outdoor ceremony, guests moved indoors to celebrate the duo’s new status as husband and wife.

Rishi and Anshul’s glowing reception was the epitome of romance, featuring lavender luminescence, thousands of flickering candles, and luscious floral centerpieces that elevated the historic venue to an oasis of love. The newlyweds’ loved ones looked on adoringly as Rishi and Anshul dipped and swayed during their first dance while surrounded by twinkling lights and soft instrumentals. Such a sophisticated celebration for a gorgeous couple!

HERE AT MAHARANI WEDDINGS , we absolutely adore fusion Indian weddings. Each fusion celebration we encounter is wholly unique and gives us a new perspective on thoughtful ways to blend a couple’s cultures and traditions. Veronica and Divyanshu’s wedding bash at The International Golf Club and Resort was truly a labor of love, and it is obvious that the two were committed to honoring the customs and families of their partner during their festivities.

The weekend began with a traditional Indian ceremony that featured pink, pink, and more pink! The cheerful hue added an alluring splash of color to the outdoor soiree, and complemented the festive buzz of anticipation that swirled in the air. Beautiful Veronica chose a hot pink and coral bridal lehenga that featured tantalizing embroidery and stonework, and she dazzled her guests as she descended the aisle to take her sacred Hindu vows. For the couple’s Catholic ceremony, Maharani Veronica was equally stunning in a chic white gown featuring intricate lace details and a backless illusion effect. Veronica and Divyanshu’s charming wedding weekend came to a close with a joyful reception soiree filled with a delectable mix of Indian and Western bites, music, and dancing.

As husband and wife, this duo truly have the best of both worlds, and their amazing celebration showcased the perfect union of two beautiful cultures.

EVERYTHING TRULY IS BIGGER in Texas - especially Indian weddings! The glitz and glamour of Asmi and Navinâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s celebration had us swooning with joy. With intricate bridal wear, artistic makeup application, and innovative wedding decor, we were giddy over each pristine detail.

Especially jaw dropping was the beauty of Maharani Asmi. She resembled a Bollywood goddess in her layers of golden jewels and a scarlet ceremony lehenga that featured a multitude of swirling embroidery. Further beautifying this bride were her shimmering eyes and glowing cheeks created by the artists at Blush and Glow. Asmi and Navin were married in an auspicious Hindu ceremony at the magnificent La Torretta Lake Resort & Spa. For the event, the decor aficionados from Decor One blew us away by creating a glistening, crystal palace for the couple, featuring a sparkling white aisle accessorized with an abundance of florals, mirrors, and crystal adornments. Simply sensational! The lovely ceremony was followed by a jubilant reception bash that took our breath away. The opulence inside the ballroom was staggering, and Decor One truly outdid themselves by creating a floral paradise bursting with thousands of hanging wisteria blooms, chic orchid centerpieces, and enormous floral walls.

The infectious love between this darling couple pops off the page! Rita and Krshna are from Virginia, and their electric chemistry and deep connection is obvious to all.

These sweethearts definitely had a wedding soiree worthy of their love story, and all the glittering details from their festivities left us breathless with delight. For their traditional Indian ceremony, Maharani Rita selected a fashion forward red lehenga, featuring a bedazzled golden blouse, a full skirt, and a scalloped edge dupatta. This gown epitomized Indian couture, and Rita sparkled like a diamond in the fabulous ensemble. Krshna was also dressed to the nines in an embellished champagne sherwani and a red turban that perfectly coordinated with his lady love. As the couple made their way to the outdoor ceremony space, they encountered a whimsical mandap dreamed up by Davinci Florist. The structure was completely comprised of enormous blooms, and added such an ethereal touch to the proceedings. Next up was the enchanting reception gala, which featured a dizzying array of crystal votives, sparkling candles, and white blooms. The couple and their guests were transported to a heavenly cloud of hearts and amor, and experienced a night of pure escapism. The fabulous Sonal J. Shah Event Consultants were on hand to ensure each and every mesmerizing detail was executed to perfection, and as always, they pulled off a grand slam soiree!

Aditi and Jeff’s royal celebration in Vienna epitomized this notion, from their magnificent Palais Liechtenstein - Garden Palace venue to the golden carriage that greeted entering guests. Every detail was thoughtfully considered and executed, resulting in a magical weekend glowing with style and love. Aditi dazzled in a number of elegant bridal gowns, from her scarlet lehenga to her delicate white wedding dress. With a multitude of alluring beauty looks created by Dharti Patel, this bride flawlessly executed each decadent ensemble and set her handsome beau’s heart on fire with each reveal. The outdoor Indian ceremony was exquisite, and loved ones showered the couple with rose petals as they were pronounced husband and wife. For Aditi and Jeff’s reception, guests swooned over the luxurious surroundings, featuring gilded ceilings, towering columns, elaborate crown molding, and golden chandeliers. The space was truly out of a fantasy! The floral and decor team from Doll Blumen added mesmerizing uplighting and twinkling candles to further highlight the beauty of the magnificent and historic ballroom. Aditi and Jeff moved guests with their emotional first dance, and soon the floor opened up for all the couple’s nearest and dearest to join them in celebrating the monumental occasion.

This spectacular wedding was truly a treat for the senses and a feast for the eyes, and we are sure precious memories of the celebration will live on in the minds of the newlyweds and their guests for eternity.

Kartik’s lavish Indian wedding took place in Maryland after perusing the glorious photographs.

Featuring impeccable fashions, dazzling decor, and a real life elephant, we were transported to our Indian motherland when reliving the couple’s festivities. For the ceremony, Faina was striking in a red lehenga adorned with a multitude of delicate embroidery. The pristine craftsmanship evident within this gorgeous piece reminded us why fashion is our very favorite art form. SV Bridal Concepts by Sanjana Vaswani created a number of luminescent beauty looks for our bride, all featuring glowing skin and shiny hair. Meanwhile, Kartik also looked as dapper as could be in his perfectly tailored ensembles. After the breezy and sophisticated outdoor Indian ceremony, the couple jetted off to prepare for their grand finale reception bash. The decor team from Wedding Design was hard at work inside the Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay venue, festooning the stage with gleaming backdrops and a majestic floral wall. Faina was the sparkling belle of the ball in a golden anarkali featuring tons of sequins and embroidery, perfectly matching the ambiance of the glittering space. Jay Dabhi Entertainment was the complete party package with their infectious live music, making the evening a total blockbuster as guests rocked the dance floor all night long. What an epic celebration!

Italian wedding, there was an abundance of international style, decor, and beauty elements. From the majestic views of the Tuscany countryside to the copious amounts of sweet vino, this celebration was a once in a lifetime event that we wish weâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;d scored an invite to. Of course, we must rave over Maharani Tarnjeetâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s magnificent ceremony lehenga. The ensemble was a vibrant shade of ruby red and featured a simple bodice that transitioned to a glittering skirt covered in heavy embroidery. Her enormous silver choker studded with gems was to die for, and provided the perfect finishing touch to this royal bridal look. The couple were married outdoors in a sun drenched ceremony, under rolling Italian hills and a rustic mandap studded with whimsical vines. The atmosphere surrounding this auspicious event was pure serenity, and the couple departed from the mandap in a shower of rose petals and laughter, ready to let loose at their reception party. For the grand finale event, Tarnjeet chose an ethereal dove grey gown with gold foil detail and a tulle skirt. The dress was especially striking as the couple dipped and twirled under the candlelight for their lovely first dance. As they cut their luscious pink cake and toasted to their happily ever, loved ones looked on in adoration.

This wedding was visual eye candy from beginning to end, but most importantly, we could feel the love bursting from each and every beautiful photo. With a wedding this lavish and cultured, we are sure that Tarnjeet and Aditya are in store for plenty more exciting adventures as they begin their journey as husband and wife.

wedding ambiance was icy elegance at its finest. From the pristine white mandap to Seema’s minimalist ceremony lehenga, we were amazed by the refined sophistication brought to the celebrations by incorporating this muted hue. Seema was a ray of light in her angelic wedding lehenga, and golden accessories, shimmering eyeshadow, and pink lips were the perfect accoutrements to her unique and inspiring wedding look. Her adorable bridal posse were also fashion forward in sweet petal pink anarkalis, and the lovely fashions combined with the sparkling fountains and sun drenched sky brought such a sense of serenity to this monumental celebration. The clean and classic vibes continued as the reception gala at the Rockleigh Country Club began. Featuring magnificent crystal chandeliers, enormous white centerpieces, and thousands of twinkling candles, this winter wonderland would have made Queen Elsa green with envy. When the dashing couple swept into the ballroom for their grand reception entrance, we were delighted by Seema’s ensemble. In a delectable crimson gown, she stood out like a budding rose in the middle of a winter day. Such a fantastic use of contrasting color. Mitesh also was handsome in a fitted blue tux as he looked on in awe at his Maharani’s radiance.

THE FABULOUS INDIAN WEDDING

celebration of Shilpa and Sean took advantage of the warm Texan weather by hosting a dazzling array of outdoor and indoor events. The festivities kicked off outdoors with a lovely garden sangeet, in which sparkling chandeliers were strung from the lush cove of trees that surrounded the fairytale soiree. For the ceremony, guests moved inside, where a bold red mandap was designed for Shilpa and Sean’s sacred vows. The lovebirds resembled royalty in their embellished Bollywood garb, and we’re especially swooning over Shilpa’s regal jewelry, featuring a golden naath, choker, and maang tikka. The festivities reached their peak at the Lakeway Resort and Spa, where Raofactor outdid themselves by creating a pristine paradise of hanging wisteria blooms, fragrant centerpieces, and a magnificent floral arch. How divine! Glitzzy Events perfectly orchestrated every pretty detail, and it is obvious that an incredible amount of teamwork, love, and style went into Shilpa and Sean’s dream come true celebration. When Shilpa stepped out of her suite after being enchanted by the hands of makeup artists from Blush and Glow, she was simply stunning in a royal blue lehenga. As guests made their way into the ballroom, they were astonished by the cascades of flowers bursting from the venue. The beauty continued as the newlyweds performed their emotional first dance, followed by an infectious dance party that lasted until the wee hours of the morning.

From beginning to end, this sensational soiree was one for the books!
