Mysterious death of two in the chapel Today, on Monday 15th, the cemetery guard found two dead bodies in the chapel which belonged to one of the most influential family clans of the town of Verona. And the dead people belonged to two most influential family clans that were severe enemies and rivals in the matter of controlling the area. The police have already started the investigation. However, according to the rumours, this accident has a very romantic but tragic prehistory. Let’s go back to the very beginning of this disastrous love story. Imagine a young thirteen-year-old girl, (she had to be fourteen in just two weeks after the tragedy had happened), and a young sixteen or seventeen-year-old guy who were attractive and ready to find a real love. They did… But what a final… So, Juliet, let’s recover the name, from the clan of Capuleti, was being prepared for the wedding. She didn’t want to become married, but her parents were interested in her marriage with Count Paris, 20, who was from a powerful and noble family. The young girl didn’t love him, but her heart was free at that moment, and she was an obedient daughter. Meanwhile, the Capuletis were having a gorgeous fancy-dress ball, which they organized every year. There were a lot of people at the ball, all hidden under masks. And Romeo, let’s give the real name to the other main character of our story, who was from the clan of Montecchi, secretly arrived at this ball with one of his friends, too. Now, dear reader, guess what happened. It goes without any doubts, Juliet and Romeo met at the ball and… fell in love with each other from the first sight. Unfortunately, the stars were against their love. They were from the fighting family clans, moreover, Juliet was engaged. They had to keep their love in secret from the very first moment. But, there were two people who knew about their love affair. They were Romeo’s confessor and Juliet’s nurse. The priest, Fra Lorenzo, secretly made the two lovers into a husband and a wife. Sadly, the new married couple were able to spend only one night together. The next day, Romeo accidently killed Juliet’s brother, Tybalt, in a street fight. Both Juliet and Romeo were desperate, but Juliet was worried about her husband and persuaded him to follow Fra Lorenzo’s advice and is escape from the town where the police were already looking for him.
Well, while Romeo was in exile, Juliet was trying to avoid getting married to Paris. She couldn’t tell anybody that she was already married. She felt sorrow for her brother but she missed her husband very much. At last, Fra Lorenzo had an idea and told the girl about it. He prepared a special portion for Juliet. As soon as she drank it, she would seem to be dead. In fact, she would be alive, and after she was taken to the family chapel, the priest would send Romeo a note and warn him about it. Romeo would come to the chapel, wait until Juliet woke up, and the couple would escape from the town together. But the plan didn’t work. Juliet drank the portion, however, Romeo didn’t receive the note. He came to the chapel, saw Juliet who looked dead and killed himself. In a while, Juliet became conscious and saw Romeo who was dead. She couldn’t bear that, she couldn’t imagine living without him. She killed herself as well. These days, the two clans, the Montecchis and the Capuletis, are preparing for the double funeral. The former misunderstandings have been forgotten. There is nothing that can compensate the families their beloved children. They investigation is still in process. Who knows? We may receive more facts which may show this story from the other side. Anyway, at this moment we can only guess what happened in reality.
