ARTIST STATEMENT Artist as Adviser/Suggestor Considering myself as an object, having a journey of time and place, constantly traveling between Lahore and Jacobabad, I intend to see things in deferens, different/altered/desired/given contexts. Living in the times, where there is Red everywhere, my image making practice deals with the idea of altering the context of violent tools with aesthetically beautiful and harmless object such as Beads/Moti. most of the color pallet originate from Mughal miniature and the patterns from sindhi and Balochi culture, Using embroidery references in my work has a metaphorical reasoning for depicting the dreadful experience of a woman caused by the violent tools, stitched in her pillow, the fearful experience converted into beautiful and vivid embroidery designs and patterns.
