Kenya Pavilion celebrates 100,000 visitors at UAE National Day The Kenya Pavilion celebrated a major milestone on UAE National Day as the Pavilion recorded over 100,000 visitors since the start of the world event on October 1 2021. The UAE National Day held on December 2 is doubly special as it celebrates 50 years of the founding of the UAE, which is celebrating its Golden Jubilee under the theme of the ‘Year of the 50th’, announced earlier by UAE President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The UAE was formed by the unification of the seven emirates, led by the country’s founding father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. Feel the Energy

The Kenya Pavilion has received a total of 110,623 visitors (as of 7th December 2021) since the start of Expo Dubai on October 1 2021. This week the Kenya Pavilion welcomed 19,608 visitors (between 1st to 7th December 2021) 1st December 2021 Kenya Safari Sevens Team at Expo 2020 Dubai The Kenya Rugby Sevens Team ‘Shujaa’ visited the Kenya Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai. A team of sixteen (16) players visited the Pavilion led by Kenya Sevens Captain Nelson Oyoo.

The Team was in Dubai for the Dubai 7 Series tournament which kicked off on Friday 3rd December 2021. Shujaa placed sixth in the second leg of the Dubai Sevens tournament. This is is an improvement for Shujaa who finished eighth in the first leg of the Dubai Sevens.

2nd December 2021 UAE Ceremony at Expo 2020 Dubai marks 50th National Day All roads led to Expo 2020 as visitors flocked to commemorate the UAE National Day which is celebrated on 2 December each year. Visitors took advantage of the special free entry on the National Day making it the busiest day at the Expo since it begun. On the UAE National Day, the Kenya Pavilion received 9,299 visitors recording the highest number of daily visitors yet. Additionally, the Pavilion celebrated a major milestone recording one hundred thousand (100,000) visitors since the start of the Expo on 1st October 2021. British High Commissioner to Pakistan Dr. Christian Turner visits the Kenya Pavilion Former British High Commissioner to Kenya Dr. Christian Turner visited the Kenya Pavillion on 2nd December 2021. Dr. Turner was appointed the British High Commissioner to Pakistan in 2019.

7th December 2021 The Kenya Pavilion was honoured to host His Royal Highness Prince Khalid bin Salman Bin Abdulaziz AlSaud from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Prince Khalid bin Salman is the son of Saudi Arabia’s King Salman and younger brother of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. On 23 February 2019, he was appointed as Saudi Arabia’s Deputy Defense Minister. The Pavilion staff showcased Kenya’s opportunities in trade, investment and tourism. The Prince was curious to know more on the ban of single use Plastic in Kenya and how Kenya was managing the recycling of the plastic waste. He particularly commended the efforts by a Kenyan to manufacture building and construction blocks from plastic waste.

The Prince was impressed with the harmonious coexistence among Kenyan communities and marveled at the continual integration processes that had made it possible to have unique communities like Kenyan Arabs, Kenyan Indians, Kenyan Europeans, and Kenyan Americans. Additionally, the Prince took interest in M-Pesa and wanted to understand more on how it worked as well as other application techs that were on display
