Named after their first performance, which took place in Brompton Cemetery, the Brompton Quartet is formed of students from the UK, Austria and Slovenia, studying at the Royal College and Royal Academy of Music. Although the ensemble is relatively new, they are already making a name for themselves as one of the most exciting young string quartets in London. They have studied with artists including Daniel Rowland (Brodsky Quartet), Jon Thorne (Badke Quartet) and the Harlem Quartet and enjoy playing a wide range of standard repertoire, as well as working with a number of living composers.
