The Bloomsbury Quartet was formed in September 2017, when they met as postgraduate students of the Royal Academy of Music. Following their success as a 2018 Stroud Green Festival Ensemble Scheme winner, they will soon embark on their 2019/2020 UK tour, ‘ReCentred’, a programme inspired by the works of Elizabeth Maconchy. Highlights of 2018-19 include performing in Petworth Festival and Lake District Summer Music Patron’s series, making their Wigmore Hall debut, and reaching the finals of St Martin-in-the-Fields Competition. The Bloomsbury Quartet is passionate about creative and thought-provoking programming, and engaging with and developing current and future generations of music-lovers.
