Heart Health Awareness Week is here!

Heart Week is Australia's national heart health awareness week held in the first week of May each year. It provides an opportunity for the Australian public to reassess their heart health.

High blood pressure is a leading risk factor for heart disease. The only way to find out if you have high blood pressure is to have it checked regularly, even if you’re feeling well and healthy. Everyone aged 18 and over should have their blood pressure measured at least once every two years the Heart Foundation is encouraging Australians to do three simple things to look after their heart – check their blood pressure, use the Heart Age Calculator to understand their risk of heart disease, and book a Heart Health Check with their GP. Even in Maleny there are links to Buckingham Palace

Buckingham Palace has served as the official London residence of the UK’s sovereigns since 1837 and today is the administrative headquarters of the Monarch.

Around 1940 home furniture had a distinct style that was popular at the time.

It might be only a small bit of trivia, but it could help out at a trivia night quiz at some time, but it might be more than half way around the world from Maleny Queensland, but there are Maleny residents who have links with the palace.

Of recent times it has been revealed that one of the Queen’s Grooms for over 25 years now lives in Maleny whilst another other resident was on the palaces security staff whilst another resident met the now King Charles 111 and Princess Diana at The Big Pineapple in Nambour in 1983.

Who said that nothing important comes out of Maleny?.

Once this coronation thing has passed so has the importance of the above bit of trivia.
