Malvern College Sports 1874

FROM THE HEADMASTER We anticipate a stimulating year ahead in which we will renew old friendships and have the chance to meet so many of those who are, or have been, associated with Malvern College in one way or another. I want to take this opportunity to thank those who have supported Malvern over the years for their loyalty and encouragement: we have valued traditions and deep roots, but are also a dynamic school which is forwardlooking and seeks to develop our mission to be the best co-educational school in the United Kingdom. Celebrations will take place both at home and abroad and I trust that you will be enriched by your association with the Malvern community wherever you may be and that our 150th year will be something special to us all.

MALVERN COLLEGE:

“We are delighted at the prospect of presenting our history of the past 150 years of Malvern College. The school started at the time of the Watercure in Malvern and owes much to the success of this innovation and the development of the railway. The early years make fascinating reading and Roy Allen’s account is written with panache. This publication contains a great number of photographs that have been re-discovered in our archives. It is a book that will inform and delight with its account of the changes in society and in education throughout the period. I thoroughly recommend it to you and know that everyone Antony Clark, Headmaster
