We value each and every one of our business members’ contributions, providing unique experiences and depth of understanding of the issues impacting their business and our community. The deep dives we take on issues has earned our Chamber a strong track record as subject matter experts and resulted in significant public policy accomplishments over our 135 year history. The Chamber’s mission to build a positive business environment while enhancing our community’s quality of life enables us to advocate on an extensive set of community issues that impact the strength and success of your business. The Chamber’s public policy structure allows us to provide insight and expertise on numerous quality of life issues and serve as grass-roots policy influencers, creating important policy platforms, including the annual adoption of the Chamber’s State and Federal Business Agenda highlighting legislative priorities. The Chamber represents the business community at all levels of government, providing a business point of view and engaging with decision makers on critical quality of life issues. We keep our members informed through regular communications, timely action alerts, and opportunities to hear from and connect with our elected officials. I’m a Chamber Member... Now What?

Simple Steps to Maximize Your Chamber Membership: A 90-Day Roadmap for Success While this entire guide is designed to help you make the most of your Chamber membership, here are some quick and easy ways to utilize your membership over the next 30/60/90 days. No two members utilize their membership the same way. Let us help you navigate the benefits.

Log in to the Members-Only section of our website to find valuable tools, including the dynamic Press Release Tool. Send out a press release and share your good news with 100+ media contacts maintained in our database. Attend a Chamber 101 Member Orientation to learn more about navigating your member benefits. Post a coupon or discount on the Chamber’s Coupons web page - easily done in the Members-Only section online. Provide us with company brochures or business cards to display in both of the Chamber lobbies. Proudly display your member window decal and counter sign. According to a study conducted by the Schapiro Group, consumers are 80% more likely to purchase goods or services from businesses who are members of their local Chamber. Download our web-friendly member logo to display on your website. This will be emailed to the primary contact upon joining the Chamber. Provide us with names and email addresses for your employees so they can receive Chamber alerts on events, seminars, and important news. Review your online directory listing. Is your business information up to date and are you taking full advantage of the features our online directory provides?

Attend a Power Connection Breakfast or Lunch and connect with fellow Chamber members in a smaller, more casual networking setting. Attend Coffee Club and/or Business After Hours and build your business connections. Participate in a Chamber seminar, webinar and/or workshop -- we offer many educational opportunities at very low cost to members. Carve out time to read the Chamber’s Current magazine. On the last page you’ll find the Events Calendar to help keep you informed of upcoming events, seminars, and committee meetings. Meet with a “Chamber Ambassador” who can help you navigate through your member benefits and introduce you to fellow members at networking events. Stay informed by connecting with us on social media. Connect with us on Facebook, Linkedin, and Instagram.

Encourage your young professionals to get involved with Manatee Young Professionals. Consider joining one of the Chamber’s committees or task forces working on important issues. Members can join at any time. Promote your business through one of our many sponsorship opportunities, all of which offer significant visibility and premium sponsor perks. If you have been doing business locally for one year or more, consider applying for membership in the Better Business Council (BBC). Membership in the BBC gives your business credibility in the consumer’s eyes and identifies your business as one that adheres to a higher standard of doing business. 2024 Member Benefits & Engagement Guide
