Restaurant reviews Upon entering All Bar One you are hit with the sheer light from 2 sides of the venue, along with the scent of pine shavings. As a first impression, it was lasting in all the right ways. Everything looked so incredibly clean, I especially liked the boxes of lemons and limes on the tables. The condiments were presented in a wooden wine case, just those little touches made it warm and cosy. Meeting a friend for lunch, we were seating quickly and offered a cocktail. We both chose a Softail as alcohol and lunch didn't mix well for us. I chose the bitter lemon cocktail and my friend told me he had drink envy as it was so refreshing! All Bar One is part of a national chain but you certainly get the personal service here. Whether you go for a drink after work or enjoy a meal here, you will be well looked after by the staff who genuinely look as if they enjoy working there. That makes such a difference.
butternut squash and carrots. (£15.95) The gravy was just divine and we ordered some french fried and a bowl of gravy to dip in as well. The meal was far beyond our expectations in terms of taste, presentation and quality customer service. All Bar One ticks all the boxes and it must do for the other diners as for a Thursday lunchtime on a cold January day, it was absolutely packed. The customers ranged from city slickers, shoppers taking a breather and families with small children, so it really does appeal to everyone and there is something on the menu to suit all tastes and budgets. You can chose 3 starters as a tapas style meal for £15, sharing platters from £29.95. A typical main course is £9.95. Our lovely waiter brought us some lattes and an enormous warm chocolate brownie with vanilla ice cream to finish off a perfect lunch.
Everyday the restaurant does a daily dining special, such as veal schnitzel, lamb shepherds pie or slow cooked beef with a truffle and herb sauce. The menu is simple, I much prefer two pages of choice rather than a whole booklet. For starters I opted for the sesame tempura chicken fillet served with a cucumber salad and a soy and wasabi dipping sauce. (£5.45) My friend had the tiger prawns and chorizo in a spring onion butter, (£4.75) which was apparently the chef's choice! For mains everything looked tantalising but we both opted for the venison medallions in a rosemary jus, daughinoise potatoes, sauteed spinach and crush

Wow, where did that first month go?
Health & Fitness
I am now in full swing of my beach body workout and Kane is really putting me through my paces to ensure I look fit in my bikini. I have stepped up the routine to three hour long sessions a week.
In the last month I have upped my game to 320 lunges in an hour. Yes really. We started with low weights (2 kg per arm) and then went up to a whopping 12kg weights per arm. It took me two days to get over it!
They consist of extreme cardio vascular workouts. On my resting days I am creaking around so much with muscle ache there’s no time to fully recover before the next session begins.
Kane is determined to get my stomach flatter and today we spent the whole hour working on the abs and tummy. I can feel my waist actually goes in now and I can’t wait to ditch the winter wardrobe and buy a whole new summer one to show off my new toned body.
However I am not complaining because when I feel the muscle ache I know I am doing something right. It acts as a deterrent to eating trash food as well.

I think I am going to start on the herbal shakes for breakfast to give my body a protein boost as well. Watch this space as to how it works out.

Lyndsey Rice, Elite’s physiotherapist is now offering acupuncture treatment from her city centre clinic. Here she explains what acupuncture is, why it is an effective treatment as part of Physiotherapy and how it can really work for you.
Acupuncture: Go With The Flow What is acupuncture? Acupuncture is an ancient form of holistic traditional Chinese medicine that has been used for over 2000 years. It is based on the principal that vital energy flows throughout the body in pathways called ‘meridians’. When this natural energy or ‘qi’ cannot flow freely, it is believed that pain and illness can occur. Acupuncture treatment uses the insertion of ultra fine sterile needles into acupuncture points which are located within the meridian lines to restore the flow of qi. The aim of this is to restore the balance of qi within the body and trigger its natural healing response. What conditions is Acupuncture used for? Acupuncture can be used for many conditions, however within Physiotherapy it is mainly used for pain relief. Here are just a few conditions a Physiotherapist will use acupuncture for: - Back Pain - Sciatica - Fibromyalgia - Frozen Shoulder - Chronic Pain - Post-operative Pain - Relief of Muscle spasm
Do Acupuncture and Physiotherapy work together? Acupuncture compliments physiotherapy very well. Acupuncture can provide effective pain relief, trigger the body’s natural healing response and release muscle spasm whilst being used in conjunction with various Physiotherapy techniques; to restore muscle and soft tissue balance, normal movement, function and build strength. Is Acupuncture safe? Acupuncture is very safe. Single use disposable needles are used by a trained professional. There is said to be less risks having acupuncture than receiving an injection for vaccination purposes. There are some risk factors (as with every procedure) however these are very unlikely to occur. Your health care professional will explain these thoroughly to you before treatment.
For more information regarding acupuncture or physiotherapy, or to book in for treatment, give Lyndsey a call on 07521952789

Try out the best that Liverpool has to offer, for less Groupon is the world’s leading group buying website. We offer a great daily deal on local restaurants, spas, beauty salons, gyms, shops and much more in over 300 cities in more than 35 countries across the world. We have been in Liverpool since March 2010. How does it work?
It is very simple. Groupon provides a deal on a great local experience every day. Anyone can reserve a deal by clicking the ʻbuy nowʼ button on the website and entering their credit or debit card details. Once enough people have signed up the deal is on, and everyone who has bought a deal is sent a voucher by email. If not enough people sign up the deal is cancelled and no one is charged a penny. This is great for groups of friends: everyone can team up and take advantage of a fantastic offer. It also gives people the perfect excuse to take a risk and try something new and exciting. However, there is often a maximum number of deals that can be bought, and they usually only run for 24 hours – so you need
to get in there quick and reserve your deal before time is up! Groupon has also proved a huge hit with local businesses, with each offer introducing them to nearly 200,000 subscribers in the Merseyside area. It is one of the most effective and measurable forms of marketing in existence, all at no upfront cost.

How is it different from other sites offering deals? Quite simply because the deals we offer are much better than any others. All our deals offer up to 95% discounts and they are rarely below 50%; other sites simply canʼt compete. We also feature tremendous variety: everything from restaurants, nightclubs and bars, to spas, salons, gyms, tickets to gigs and plays; we are always looking for new and interesting things for our site – if you think of anything please get in touch and we will see if we can make it happen. So far Grouponʼs deals have saved the people of the UK over £101 million – thatʼs about £10 million each month since the site was launched in the country.
What kind of deals have you offered recently in Liverpool?
Some of the best deals we have offered recently include £6.95 instead of £17.95 for One Adult Admission, a Souvenir Brochure and a Tea/Coffee in the On-site Starbucks at the Beatles Story Museum (sold 1146); Four Sessions of Cellulite-Busting Endermologie and Two Detox Sessions for £59 instead of £240 at Origin Rejuvenation Clinic - saving 75% (sold 522); and £14.90 for a £38 Banquet for One, including Sushi, Tempura and Teppanyaki and a Glass of Wine or Bubbly at Sakura saving 61% (sold 485).
We have also posted local offers on teeth whitening, laser hair removal and liposuction, concert, comedy and cinema tickets and even helicopter tours! Other brands that have issued deals through us include American Apparel, Cineworld, Itsu, MySingleFriend, Dermalogica, Virgin Wines, Supper Club and Glasses Direct.
How do I join?
Signing up to Groupon is absolutely free. Please visit our site (www.Groupon.co.uk) and subscribe to our weekly newsletter, or join our Liverpool fan pages (http://www.facebook.com/Groupon) and Twitter feeds (http://twitter.com/Groupon_UK). To Blush and Beyond!! At this time of year we can all feel a bit pale and suffer from that post festive fatigue, but there are ways to combat this so that there is no excuse not to have that spot of colour and all important spring lift. There are many formulations and brands to choose from and it can be incredibly confusing, as a general rule the colour your cheeks are naturally is the shade to go for. As for which type well, for those with sensitive skin and/or allergies try minerals, for those with drier or older skin head towards gels or creams and those lucky enough to be young or with perfect skin powder is the one to go for. However everyone is different so go for what your happy with. Here are a few of my favourites……….. No7 Tint Cream Blush (£10) If you’ve never used cream blush before this is a great one to start with. As a stick formation its incredibly easy to use, adds just a hint of colour and can be layered up for a stronger look. Also it won’t break the bank. Per-fekt Cheek Perfection Gel (£24) The new kid on the block this season and already has a celeb following ( including Victoria Beckham, Blake Lively and Katy Perry). It’s more technologically advanced than most and with good reason to be- it not only leaves a gorgeous glow but uses smart colour technology to assure a perfect skin tone match. And as if that wasn’t enough theres vitamin B to improve circulation and vitamins A & E for protection.
SmashBox O-Glow (£20.50) For sheer innovation and wow factor this is a must for any make up bag. A clear gel that’s designed to react to your natural skin tone, turning the colour that you blush naturally. Bare Escentuals mineral blush (£20) 100% pure for those of you wanting something kinder to your skin, this will give a beautiful healthy tone with a soft radiant glow. Pixi Sheer Cheek Gel (£12.50) This little gem of a gel works double time, not only is it a long lasting sheer blush it moisturises as you apply it. Its easy to wear giving that lush dewy, subtle gloss finish that all the celebs have. Also look at MeMeMe (Superdrug £6.49) These blushers look very similar to another well known brand but work just aswell at the fraction of the cost and ELF cosmetics also do some great products.
There are so many to choose from, try before you buy if you can and look at it outside aswell!! If you need advice/help or want to book an appointment contact me on either 07950411777 or via face book Jennie MUA Freedland So enjoy, play and experiment ( where the purse strings allow!) and make the most of those cheeks.

BOUDOIR BOUTIQUE’S GOT THE X FACTOR AS REBECCA FERGUSSON IS SPOTTED IN CAVERN WALKS Wondering how X Factor runner-up Rebecca Fergusson is spending her first pay-check after reportedly securing a £1 million recording deal? The singer from Anfield was spotted in Liverpool’s Cavern Walks picking up some goodies from Boudoir Boutique, including a coat, head-band, two dresses and a Zandra Rhodes handbag. Store owner Amy Keating says: “Rebecca was lovely, and very complimentary about the store. She kept saying how much she loved the ‘Darling’ and ‘Aftershock’ collections we have just got in, and said the bits and pieces she had chosen were the first things she had purchased since leaving the X Factor.” Rebecca was since pictured in the electric blue head-band designed by Hannah Marsden at an appearance in Twickenham, where she performed at the Harlequins vs London Irish Rugby Match. Rebecca has always been a regular at Cavern Walks, having worked at the Lucy in the Sky café prior to auditioning for the hit ITV talent contest.
