SERVING AUTHENTIC BRAZILIAN BBQ MEATS SINCE 2010
For absolute carnivore lovers, Viva Brazil offers a delicious feast of 14 different types of juicy meats
The aroma hits you as you walk into the restaurant and we were given a warm welcome as we were guided to our table. Whilst the food was beyond our expectations in terms of quality and taste, the customer service and helpfulness from the staff was the best I have experienced in Liverpool and really added to our dining experience I like my steak extra well done and no request was too much for our Brazilian hosts.
We started our meal at the extensive salad island which offered a generous and fresh selection of hot and cold salads, stews, pasta, cheeses, bread and I had to remind myself not to overindulge before the main event! Back at our table, we turned our cards over to green to signal our servers to bring us an endless flow of succulent meats and we were not disappointed. Even though the restaurant was heaving, we were given plenty of attention and I have to praise the servers who must rack up 20,000 steps in a night for all the work they do.
There is so much to choose from to suit every taste and you won’t leave hungry or disappointed on any level. Did I mention the cocktails too? Absolutely perfect!
There’s so many menus to choose from, especially over the festive season so I recommend checking out their website: www.vivabrazilrestaurants.com

FASHION DESIGNER
My name is Toyosi, and I’m from Nigeria. Growing up surrounded by the vibrant colors, textures, and styles of African fashion has been a huge inspiration for me
My heritage deeply influences my work, and through Afriswish, I strive to bring that cultural richness to the world, blending traditional African artistry with contemporary fashion.
How did you get into fashion designing?
I’ve always been passionate about fashion, especially when it comes to celebrating African culture through clothing. Growing up, I was surrounded by vibrant fabrics and traditional designs, and I wanted to bring these elements into contemporary fashion Starting Afriswish was a way to blend my love for heritage with a modern twist, allowing people to wear something that’s stylish yet deeply rooted in culture.
What is your inspiration?
I’m inspired by the beauty and diversity of African culture, especially the stories and history embedded in our fabrics. Each collection reflects aspects of heritage, strength, and resilience, bringing forward a piece of Africa in every design Seeing my designs empower others and make them feel beautiful is my greatest inspiration.
You recently did Liverpool Fashion Week; how did you find the experience?
It was an incredible experience! It was inspiring to showcase Afriswish on an international stage and connect with people who appreciated the fusion of African culture and high fashion. The feedback was amazing, and it was fulfilling to see my designs celebrated alongside other global styles
Describe your style.
My style is a fusion of tradition and modern elegance. I love to combine classic African elements, like Adire and Aso Oke, with contemporary silhouettes. It’s bold, vibrant, and timeless—perfect for those who want to express cultural pride with a chic, modern edge.
You make your own fabrics; why is this important?
Creating our own fabrics allows us to honor traditional techniques, like Adire and Aso Oke, while giving them a fresh twist for today’s fashion world. It ensures that every piece is authentic, high-quality, and carries a story. Plus, it’s a way to support local artisans and keep these time-honored techniques alive for future generations.
Which celebrity would you like to dress? I’d love to dress Lupita Nyong’o! She has an incredible sense of style and radiates confidence and elegance, which aligns perfectly with the Afriswish brand. Her connection to her roots and ability to make bold statements through fashion make her an ideal ambassador for our designs.

DREAM GIRL ERA
It’s approaching the time of year when we overindulge in tasty treats and let’s face it, why shouldn’t we? It’s cold and miserable outside and it makes us feel a bit better And a little bit of something naughty can make you feel nice. But then comes the guilt and ridiculous self loathing with the gyms bombarding everyone to join them for the “new year, new you” monotonous trend.
I am so sick of the body shaming piled on us to look a certain way Some of us are not built to be skinny. I have big boobs and a big bum, and not only do I accept it, but I embrace it now, in case you haven’t noticed my multiple bikini selfies
And why the hell not? I listened to a podcast on my regular 10k walk this morning and it was all about getting into your Dream Girl Era It was about loving and accepting yourself and not changing yourself to fit into society’s expectations of how you are supposed to be.
So what is th Dream Girl Era? It’s visualising who you want to be as a woman so that you can become the best version of yourself. It’s about talking to yourself in a kind way and instead of pointing out your physical faults, you start talking to yourself kindly
It’s ok to tell yourself you look good, it ok to have a little aesthetics enhancement if it makes you feel better about yourself It’s your body and you can do what you want with it
We are all unique and that makes us interesting and wonderful and it’s time to embrace what makes you, well, YOU
Entering the Dream Girl Era means you’re ready to step up to become the person you’ve always aspired
I
to be.
You don’t need money. You don’t need a flash gym membership, you just need your imagination to visualise who you want to be
My friend has started seeing this guy and she’s developed anxiety wondering when he is going to message her next “What if he’s changed his mind about me? What if he didn’t like seeing me naked” she said? I told her to stop trashing herself and reminded her that she was an absolute badass who shoudl take control of the situation
Message him, you’re not 15 and if he doesn’t respond then move on. You’re not hanging around for anyone’s approval I told her And I have yet to meet a man who doesn’t adore seeing a naked woman in front of him.
Stepping into your Dream Girl Era means you shed all the insecurities and embrace who you are You look at everything you’ve achieved rather focusing on the failures . Everyone fails at something, it’s life and without failure we don’t learn lessons to be better people in our business and relationships But the relationship with yourself is the most important one and longest one you will ever have so make it worthwhile
We are not here to make others happy. We are not here to please others, we are not here to put our wants and needs behind everyone’s elses
What are the safety instructions on a flight? Put your own mask on first before you help others. And that’s the simple rule in life. You have all the tools to become the best version of yourself and it starts with being accountable for yourself.
I am on my way to being a Dream Girl. I have non negotiable terms to my day, for example I will not attend a meeting before 11am because I have to go to my daily spin class at 9.30am. It sets me up mentally and physically for the day.
by Amanda Moss
I love who I have become Of course I have fears, I am not invincible, but I have this confidence that I never used to have that has come from stepping into my power I know what I want and I am going out to get it We’re often told that we should rebrand our business to create an authentic and meaningful connection with your clients but we need to do the same with ourselves. Humans are not supposed to be static, we are programmed to move and grow. A change in direction can motivate and inspire you to do things you never dreamed of It maybe as simple as slipping into an outfit you told yourself you wouldn’t normally be seen dead in
We are not here for long on earth so live your best life with gusto and close down the chatter from people who don’t approve of your choices. They aren’t living your life and their opinion doesn’t matter Be the Dream Girl you were born to be.
RED RUM CLUB
FRIDAY 16 MAY 2025 –
AINTREE RACECOURSE
One of Liverpool’s most exciting breakthrough acts will be making their Red Rum Garden debut next May, in what is set to be their biggest hometown show to date. RED RUM CLUB will headline a huge outdoor concert after racing at Aintree Racecourse on Friday 16 May 2025.
Red Rum Club’s music is intricately entwined with the sounds of Merseyside, pioneering what has been described as their "Mariachi Merseybeat". Currently touring with contemporaries Blossoms and set to tour with The Jockey Club Live alumnus The Wombats in the new year, performing live is where the band feel most at home.
Red Rum Club said, “To say we’re excited to play Aintree Racecourse is an understatement. Outdoor summer shows are our favourites, and where better to play than in the Red Rum Garden? We’ve all been to the races at Aintree over the years and it’s a fantastic day out - we can’t wait to see you all there!”
Dickon White, Regional Director of Jockey Club Racecourses, North West said, “Red Rum Club are the perfect headliner to welcome music back to Aintree Racecourse in 2025. Not only are they one of the most exciting homegrown acts in recent years, but to have them perform in the Red Rum Garden feels incredibly fitting! ”
JAMIE WEBSTER
SATURDAY 21ST JUNE 2025 – HAYDOCK PARK RACECOURSE
BECKY HILL
FRIDAY 8TH AUGUST 2025 –
HAYDOCK PARK RACECOURSE
Liverpool’s own JAMIE WEBSTER is set to headline a huge outdoor show at Haydock Park Racecourse on Saturday 21st June 2025.
Jamie Webster is having an incredible year. His third studio album, “10 For The People”, hit #2 in the UK charts back in February, his third album to break into the UK Official Album Chart. In a fitting celebration of the feat, he headlined an unforgettable show at Sefton Park to 40,000 fans.
Since his debut album release in 2020, he has cemented his place as Britain’s modern folk hero. His relatable lyricism has built a movement around songcraft that distills struggle, finds hope and the tugs at the ties that bind in shared stories of triumph beyond adversity. His headline of Haydock Park Racecourse is the next step in Jamie’s extraordinary journey, from playing pub gigs in the city to headlining some of Merseyside’s most iconic venues. With his hometown being at the epicentre of his success, as Jamie says in his track “This Place”, “My City, My People, My Heart”.
Jamie Webster said, “Sefton Park was a pure bucket list moment for me this Summer and can’t wait to make more memories at Haydock Park Racecourse. Let’s have a proper day out!”
Two-time BRIT Award winner BECKY HILL will make her Haydock Park Racecourse debut on Friday 8th August 2025, with a full headline set after racing.
One of the UK's most exceptional talents, Becky has secured 22 Top 40 singles and billions of streams. She has gone from strength-tostrength since first coming to attention as the voice of Wilkinson’s seminal dance anthem ‘Afterglow’. She has consistently returned to the Top 10 with hits including ‘Gecko (Overdrive)’ with Oliver Heldens (#1), ‘Wish You Well’ with Sigala (#8), ‘Remember’ with David Guetta (#3) and ‘Crazy What Love Can Do’ with David Guetta and Ella Henderson (#5).
Her second album ‘Believe Me Now?’ became her most personal and critically acclaimed body of work to date and achieved her highest album chart debut position at #3, after a campaign which included another Top 10 smash and Platinum-certified ‘Disconnect’ with Chase & Status and a US #1 airplay hit, ‘Never Be Alone’ featuring Sonny Fodera.
