ABOUT US: Rotaract Club of Capital City New Delhi (RCCND) is a community based Rotaract Club under RID 3012 established with an aim to continuously undertake social projects in order to help the underprivileged. Established 5 years ago, the club has gained a number of achievements indicating the activeness and zeal of its members. i) The Club Received Platinum Club Status by RID 3012 and Rotary International. ii) Best Community Club in Zone-3, year 2018-19. iii) Many members awarded by Rotaract District Organization and are currently working with them. Through the years since the inception, RCCND has undertaken many projects/events in different avenues to address all that was needed to be brought to limelight.

PROJECT VEERANGNA
Ideated in June 2019, Project Veerangna was established with an aim to uplift the status of acid attack survivors in the society by providing them with the means to be financially independent, with the entire project being managed by the members of our club. With the onset of this project , we aim to provide the survivors a platform to share their stories, thoughts with the world and support and encouragement tothem for our brave survivors for leading an independent life. 1st session for Veerangna was taken on 7th November, 2019 where our members helped them in using basic designing tools like Canva. We also, brainstormed regarding various social media techniques to improve their reach and also to make their campaigns achieve better results. The session was taken for 9 Sheroes staff members which included 3 survivors.

On 15th November, 2019, 2nd session of Veerangna took place where discussions were held on how to improve the ‘Stop Acid Attack Campaign’. It also included training session on how can they increase their social media outreach and bring this issue to the front. Discussion on the video shoot of the survivors also took place.
The 3rd session under Veerangna was held on 23rd November, 2019 where the survivors and the members talked about various issues related to the acid attack, violence done on the women and aftermaths of the attack. The survivors also put forward their ideas and thoughts regarding project Veerangna.
VEERANGNA SHOOT On 15th December 2019, our club invited 10 Acid Attack Survivors and Sheroes Founder Mr. Alok Dixit for a video shoot and meet. The survivors shared their stories and discussed the issue of Acid Attack in general.

PROJECT SANGIENE
SESSION-02
Our club organised a session under Project Sangiene in Rajkiye Pratibha Vikas Vidhayalaya, Civil Lines for girls on 16th November, 2019. We discussed the importance of menstrual hygiene and the myths associated with menstruation. Everyone actively participated and shared their menstruation stories and the event was concluded with distribution of sanitary pads to all the girls.

PROJECT SRIJAN Under Project Srijan, we collaborated with Rotaract Club of Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies. The project aims to obliterate the fissure between the generators of e-waste and formal recyclers and to empower the informal waste workers.

PROJECT KHUSHI
Rotaract Club of Capital City New Delhi had proudly announced Project Khushi on 7th November, 2019. on its social media handles. Whilst the club members came together and collected lots of wollens, toys and books; We also encouraged our online audience to be a part of the initiative by allowing them to donate in kind for the kids of various orphanages and special care homes. With the help of the club members and our audience, the donation drive turned out to be very successful.
VISIT-01: BAL SAHYOG, CP
First visit under Project Khushi was made to Bal Sahyog, Connaught Place on 10th November, 2019. It was inspired by the event ‘Happiness Hour’ conducted by Rotaract Club of K.C College (Churchgate), Mumbai to celebrate an hour of happiness with less fortunate children. We conducted several activities with the children and distributed woolen socks and notebooks. 6.
VISIT-02: ST. JUDE INDIA CHILD CARE CENTRE, NOIDA
On 16th November, 2019 the club members paid a visit to St. Jude India Child Care Centres, Noida under Project Khushi where we interacted with 30 children and conducted a drawing competition. The best darwings were rewarded and together we danced, sang and recited poems. The children also gave handmade flowers to us as a token of thanks
VISIT-03: NIRBHED FOUNDATION, INDIRAPURAM
Under Project Khushi, on 23rd November, 2019, we visited Nirbhed Foundation and distributed 104 pairs of woolen socks and notebooks to the children there. Apart from this alot of fun activities were also conducted by the members. 7.
VISIT-04: SHASHIRAJ FOUNDATION
Fourth visit under Project Khushi was made to Shashiraj Foundation, an old age home on 15th December, 2019 where we distributed 30 packets of biscuits and frooti tothe members of the foundation. Apart from sharing their stories and experiences with our club members, people at Shashiraj Foundation also sung many song with us.
VISIT-05: NATIONAL YOUTH BLIND ASSOCIATION
Rotaract Club of Capital City New Delhi visited National Youth Blind Association, Patparganj under Project Khushi. The club distributed food packets and woolen to 30 Blind Members of the association. This was a very aspiring and joyful session with the blind members who also had demonstrated about their use of touch screen phone to us. 8.
PROJECT JHILMIL
On 1st September’19, RCCND along with other clubs under Zone 4, RID 3012 commenced education drive for the children of Jhilmil Slum, With the commencement of the drive, we hope to improve the quality of education imparted to the kids at the Jhilmil Slum and we wish to help them progress far in life.

HEALTH CHECK-UP CAMP
Our club, in collaboration with Max Hospital, Patparganj organised a Health Free Health Check-up Camp on 13th October, 2019 in the Jhilmil Slum area. This project was undertaken by Zone 4 of RID 3012 who were also associated as the Youth Partner of this camp. We look forward to many more health associated events to ensure a healthy life of the slum people at Jhilmil Slum. 14.
On 1st September, 2019, Project Jhilmil, an education drive for the children of Jhilmil Slum, was commenced by our and other clubs under Zone 4, RID 3012. Our very own volunteers have stepped up to teach the children of the area and making memories laughing and educating.
This Christmas, we turned into Santa Clauses for the children of the Jhilmil Slum Area. We distributed study tables and whiteboards to the best-performing students from our education drive. To mark the occasion, kids were involved in various activities and received gifts & prizes. We distributed snacks, beverages and desserts. Rotarians of our parent club made the event even more memorable with their presence. All in all, the Christmas celebration set the tone for the New Year.

NEW YEAR CELEBRATION & PHYSIOTHERAPY CAMP Rotaract Club of Capital City New Delhi celebrated New Year 2020 with  RC Physiotherapy Scholars who organized a free Physiotherapy Camp for the residents of Jhilmil slum. The stationary gifts and snacks were distributed to about 100 children as a new year gift. The event was graced with our special guest Ritu Saini, PHF DRR Rtr. Mudita Khurana, DRR Elect Varda Sardana & DRS Nitin Dhar.

On 19th October 2019, members of RCCND celebrated Diwali together at GTB Nagar, Delhi. The members socialised and bonded as one big family. The evening was indeed a memorable one, filled with delicious food and entertainment.
GURUPURAB CELEBRATION
On 12th November 2019, Our club took part in preparation of Gurupurab Celebration at Gurudwara Sri Guru Singh Sabha, Indirapuram. The langar to all devotees was served and services were performed.

CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION Members of Rotaract Club of Capital City New Delhi celebrated Christmas together by having a team lunch on 25th December, 2019. The club also organized secret santa for all attendees. The event helped in building fellowship amongst the members while appreciating the work they have doing for the society.

LETTERHEAD EXCHANGE WITH RC SILCHAR
On 11th October 2019, our club members along with Rtr. Bikash Mozumdar, the president of Rotaract Club of Silchar RID 3240, visited Sisganj Gurudwara. Over a lunch at Haldiram’s, we did a letterhead exchange. We had an amazing day out with Rtr. Bikash and would love to host him again in future.

With a belief in fellowship beyond boundaries on 3rd November, 2019 we had an official letterhead exchange with the members of RC Delhi Central & DPU Club at Chaayos, CP. Both the clubs showed concern towards the then ongoing pollution in Delhi and discussed over it, also talked about the various upcoming projects. We discussed the difference between clubs and district and about our future events & projects lined up for the year. We look forward to helping each other in serving the society better.

Our club had an official letterhead exchange with the Club Service Director of the RC Lake City, Rtr. Ashikur Rahman & with the members of RC Young Visionaries on 17th November, 2019 at Connaught Place. We talked about the different activities, projects and workings of the club and hoped this meet establishes good bonds between the clubs.
LETTERHEAD EXCHANGE Our club had an official letterhead exchange with a member of RC Deonar, Rtr. Sanchit Agarwala on 16th December, 2019 where we all shared our experiences in Rotaract and had discussions on long term club projects along with some activities. We also invited him and his team for the RYLA 2020.

CLUB HOSTING
On 29th December 2019, we played host to a Rotaractor from Rome, Italy. From a tour of Chandni Chowk and Red Fort to lunch at Haldiram, members of RCCND had a great time interacting with Rtr. Samantha.

PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CYBER - SECURITY WORKSHOP
On 16th November 2019, a workshop on Cyber Security was organised at DAV School, Chander Nagar. The workshop was attended by students of classes 8th, 9th & 10th who were taught and made aware regarding the Cyber-Security importance and measures to prevent Cyber-Threats.

HEALTH CHECK-UP CAMP
On 22nd December 2019, a free health checkup camp was organised by Max Hospital in collaboration with Rotary Club of Capital City New Delhi at Pacific Mall, Sahibabad. We were proud to be associated as the youth partner. The camp provided Blood Pressure Test, Sugar and Bone mineral and offered counselling & treatment by trained doctors and specialists. Around 71 people came for the checkup during the day.

On 20th October 2019, Rotaract District Organisation 3012 organised a Diwali Party for all the Rotaractors at Delhi Venue. The onset of festivities offered a great opportunity for bonding and gaiety as rotaractors took to the floor, thoroughly enjoying themselves.
