The closed panels capture and preserve the light coming from the opening atop the waffle structure.
There is a definitive boundary between the interior and exterior, which conceal the users’ privacy. The particular shape of the panels spark interest, owing to the sharp simple geometry forming complex shapes. Flatness of panels balance the protruding stellated forms on the obverse, furthermore, it allows them to appear prominent.
There is a gradual shift in the panelling size creating a more dynamic user experience.
A hollow waffle structure allows for the creation of an interior volume. It acts as a threshold, conveying the user from the structure. The shape of the structure, makes the ceiling converge in, while still reflecting the openness owing to the hole on the top.

With the booleaned geometry contained mostly within the original shape the cube is still highly visible as a form. Where the intersecting geometry interacts with the surface envelope creates a lighter more open space which allows for the accomodation of public and private.
Stellated opening atop creates a sense of lightness owing to its form and also allows for the penetration of light. The shadows during the day would contribute to its dramatic effect.
Various thresholds, and circulation paths can be generated by rotating and/or scaling the object.
Points at which geometry almost touches but does not creates a feeling of uncanny heaviness to the above structure.
Negative Stellated surface creates for a dynamic user experience and interation with the space. It creates a feeling of heaviness and lightness at the same time.
Intersections that do not interact with the surface envelope create heavier darker spaces.
The solids left behind can also be interpreted as space.
