May was active as usual, with multiple department events and preparation for the kickoff of the award-winning 100 Hours of PLAY challenge. Just a few days since launching on June 1, the program already has more than triple the number of participants as last year, meaning it's going to be a very busy--very fun!--summer!

Our online presence has seen a considerable increase in traffic as a result of the program as well as the new park features; this month the 100 Hours of PLAY page and the Splash Pad information page each received more direct hits than the department homepage. This is due to a combination of heavy promotion and QR codes on signs and flyers that take users directly to the information they need versus navigating through the entire site As always, we aim to provide a welcoming, remarkable experience that is easy, efficient and enjoyable! The rest of the summer will be filled with the 100 Hours challenge (so many hours to count and events to host!), summer camp and event promotion, and city special events.
