DESIGN CONCEPT
This Project investigates the concept of ephemerality, from the experience of each person to the growth of each seed. The layout of the program within the building has been strategically ordered to maintain this concept, allowing each space to change through time and through the experience of the inhabitants. We can appreciate the different layers of the faรงade-seedbank, which would change depending on the year and season. At the same time, this emptiness or fullness of the seeds in the faรงade is directly proportional to the state and growth of the plants in the greenhouses. There are two main facades of the building, one facing La Castellana, and the other facing the Jardin Botanico. The first relates the building to the speed and stress of the city, and is covered with translucent glass fins which are angled to control visibility. From across La Castellana, the interiors are hidden from view, but for those walking or driving past, the interiors are visible. The second faรงade tries to integrate the building with the garden, extending this concept of the ephemeral to its maximum. People can experience a view through the seeds to the biggest collection of plants in Spain.
Selected project to exhibit in the International Architectural Education Summit 2011, created in Design Studio III. Conceptual project about ephemerality, views and public/private spaces. In the board: -Photoshop renderings -Physical model -Construction details -Plans

FROM THE UNIT TO THE CITY
This project is a research on residential architecture, on how to create a city from modular residential units. It creates public spaces (plazas and porches) from the elements of the private modules. It is created from a rigid tapestry structure, that allows each unit to transform and to grow from a 38sqm renting house to a 140sqm family house through the extension of the upper floor, supported by its wall beams. The layout of each unit allows different kind of private spaces (balcony, terrace, and garden), hidden and protected by natural elements). The different neighborhoods are thought through the modification of the topography and the use of prefab elements.
Project for Design Studio V. (Selec ted project for the exhibition “Show 2012 at IE University). Development of a residential city taking as starting point the unit.

NATURE VS ARCHITECTURE
How does architecture deal with nature? How a manmade workcan survive in the wild woods? “Unveiling the hidden, Earthen” is a project dealing with different aspects of architecture as place, materiality and program, trying to integrate them into a single project inside the topic of tourism. The project sits upon a slate vein, a geological dike near a river. The aim of the project is to study the different ways of approaching the site, and let people enjoy it in a way in a soft way. Therefore the program selected for the project is focused in people with environmental concerns, people that enjoys nature and love to protect it. The program becomes an spiritual retreat unveiling the most hidden nature, such as the insiders of the vein, and letting the user approach to this uninhabited area. How can the project talk about “atmosphere of the earthen?”. In this process of inhabiting nature in a way that tourists can enjoy it, the main objective is for them to find that different thing, the thing that makes them go to the place, therefore, the way the project touches the ground, and the way the project is designed, result in unique spaces for the sake of the user to find himself in nature through architecture. From the shaping of the vein to the stacking of rocks of the walls, the architecture work becomes a full experience of what nature can give us, letting the user to experience a unique way of solitude, nature and architecture as if they were one.

sinblanca Sinblanca. is a business/design project based on sustainability and recycling. The aim of the project is to create an eco-label registered brand of jewelry, from the design and production processes to business and selling. All the pieces are designed by us, thinking on the colours and thickness, which depend on the available material. This makes the each piece be recycled, unique and exclusive. The idea came from the lots of wasted materials of architecture models and the aim to recycle and give them a new life. The main material used for Sinblanca jewelry is perplex (acrylic), since it is one of the most harmful materials for the environment. Sinblanca takes all the leftovers of this material, not only in the architecture field, but from all uses in the different industries. This way, by contacting different companies is possible to recycle this material and create high quality products with an affordable price.
Design of fashion accessories from the acrylic leftovers of other works. It gives a new life to the material, creating exclusive pieces with a personal design. Design of the pieces, production (laser cutter), graphic desing, packaging design and business development. Co-founded along with Blanca Perez.
