Hello and welcome to another issue of Phenomena Magazine. Its been a chaotic month finalising and distributing the recently released book by our good friend Peter Robbins. His book which is free to obtain and widely available throughout the internet, on our websites and social media pages managed to completely overload the Phenomena Website, not just once but twice. Within the first hour of going live, around 10.000 people tried to download it which caused our website to crash. Those visiting our website now have the option of clicking the external website link so to download Peter’s book ’Deliberate Deception: A Case for Disinforma‐ tion in the UFO Research Community’. Numerous other links are also currently available and details can be found on our Facebook pages. The book is probably the most important material on the subject of UFOs you’ll ever read. Grab it now! Hope you enjoy our August 2014 issue.

The Mystery of the Tesla Columbia Death Ray By Sean Casteel
The tragic loss of the Space Shuttle Columbia and its seven astronauts will live forever in the mem‐ ory of the American public. While the actual cause may never be known beyond a shadow of a doubt, it is nevertheless possible that an outside force acted upon the spaceship, an outside force that may have been set in motion many decades ago by the work of the legendary inventor, Nikola Tesla, and the shadowy scientists who followed in his wake. I wrote a short book about this idea, entitled “Nikola Tesla’s Death Ray and the Columbia Disas‐ ter,” which has recently been revamped by Timo‐ thy Green Beckley’s Global Communications. The book has received some attention over the years, including requests for radio and television appear‐ ances, and the decision to republish it in a new format is part of Beckley’s continuing efforts to introduce readers to books and concepts that may have slipped through the cracks of their para‐ normal reading menu the first time around. Let us review the events of February 1, 2003. As reported in the February 10, 2003 issue of “Time Magazine,” the final 45 minutes of the Columbia’s descent to death went like this: “Commander Rick Husband fired his de‐orbit engines at 8:15 AM Eastern Time when the ship was high over the Indian Ocean. Half an hour – and half a world – later, it hit the edges of the atmosphere just north of Hawaii at an altitude of about 400,000 feet. Shortly after, a faint pink glow began to surround the ship, as atmospheric friction caused tempera‐ tures to rise to between 750 and 3000 degrees across various parts of the spacecraft’s under‐ belly. “The astronauts, busy monitoring their decelera‐ tion, temperature, hydraulics and more, didn’t have much time to watch the light show play out, and by the time the pink glow brightened from faint pink to bright pink to plasma white, the ship had arced around the planet into thick air and daylight. “On the ground, things were smooth, too. At Cape Canaveral, the conditions were per‐ fect for landing, with temperatures in the low 70s and a light breeze blowing, well within NASA’s wind limits. The families of some of the seven crew members had already been shown to the runway, assembling for their close‐up view of the touchdown.” But into that idyllic picture, the problems seemed to come from nowhere. As the ship was flying over San Francisco, several technical malfunctions began to happen in rapid succession, with many of the shuttle’s sensors suddenly ceasing to transmit data back to Mission Control. As the Columbia reached the skies over Texas, spacecraft communicator Charlie Hobaugh
attempted to alert the seven crew members. Commander Rick Husband began to respond to Hobaugh, but his transmission went dead before the astronaut could complete his first sentence. Hobaugh tried repeatedly to re‐establish contact, but soon the ship was coming apart over the Dallas‐Fort Worth area. When the shuttle failed to land on schedule at 9:16 AM, NASA began a search and rescue effort. “With reports coming back of a debris field that stretched from eastern Texas to Louisiana, and possibly even further, NASA put out the some‐ what disingenuous word that fumes from the fragments could be dangerous and that people who found them should leave them where they lay and alert the authorities – as if any toxic fuel could have survived the heat of re‐entry,” “Time Magazine” reported. Was that initial warning from NASA about people not touching the fragments they found an early attempt to cover up just exactly what caused the Columbia to crash? Even the normally stalwart “Time Magazine” seems to distrust NASA’s real intentions there, calling the warning “disingenuous,” and one is led to speculate that the wreckage could have held clues vital to un‐ derstanding whether a top‐secret particle beam weapon was the real culprit in what happened to Space Shuttle Columbia and the seven astronauts who entrusted their lives to the integrity of the ship. The idea of terrorism being involved was also an early concern, but that was quickly dismissed.
Theoretically, a shoulder‐launched missile could shoot down an aircraft, but no such missile could have reached the altitude the Columbia was at when it disintegrated. Also, security around the shuttle was simply so tight that it was considered impossible that some kind of explosive could have been smuggled onboard at some point prior to takeoff. The mainstream press grappled publicly with other mysteries as well. The day after the Colum‐ bia disaster, “The San Francisco Chronicle” ran an article about photos taken by an amateur as‐ tronomer who photographed the space shuttles whenever their orbits carried them over the Bay Area. The photos revealed what appeared to be electrical phenomena flashing around the track of the shuttle’s passage. The photographer, who asked not to be identified, said, “They clearly record an electrical discharge like a lightning bolt flashing past, and I was snapping the pictures almost exactly when the Columbia may have been breaking up during re‐entry.”

The Mystery of the Tesla Columbia Death Ray By Sean Casteel
The “Chronicle” reporter, who was also the pa‐ per’s science editor, was invited to see the photos on the astronomer’s computer screen and wrote, “They are indeed puzzling. They show a bright, scraggly flash of orange light, tinged with pale purple, and shaped somewhat like a deformed L.” He also wrote that just as the flash appeared to cross the Columbia’s contrail, it seems as if the contrail brightened, thickened and began to wob‐ ble. The photographer said he could see none of this activity with his own eyes, but that it had showed up clearly on his film when he developed it. On February 5, the “Chronicle” ran a follow‐up story about NASA’s interest in the photographs. The space agency dispatched former shuttle as‐ tronaut Tammy Jernigan, then a manager at Law‐ rence Livermore Laboratories, to the San Fran‐ cisco home of the amateur astronomer/ photographer to examine the digital images. After viewing the photos, Jernigan also took the camera itself to NASA headquarters in Houston on a spe‐ cially chartered T‐38 jet. “It certainly appears very anomalous,” Jernigan said of the strange purple light visible on the im‐ ages. “We sure will be very interested in taking a very hard look at this.” Did some unknown weapon cause the mysterious flash? Is that why NASA sent a former astronaut to view the images, then flew the camera itself to Houston? From the account of the Columbia tragedy, we next flashback to September 22, 1940, when an article appeared in “The New York Times” in which Ni‐ kola Tesla first revealed his “Death Ray” to the public. The entire text of the article is included in “Nikola Tesla’s Death Ray and the Columbia Disas‐ ter,” but I will present only portions of it here. The article was headlined, “Death Ray for Planes.” In the article, Tesla declared that he stood ready to divulge to the United States government the secret of his “teleforce,” which he claimed could melt an airplane motor at a distance of 250 miles. The device would allow for a “Chinese Wall of Defense” to be built around the U.S. that would protect the country from any attack by an enemy air force, no matter how large. The Death Ray was based on an entirely new prin‐ ciple of physics that no one had ever dreamed about, and different from the principles involved in Tesla’s earlier inventions relating to the trans‐ mission of electrical power from a distance. The new type of force would operate through a beam one‐hundred‐millionth of a square centimeter in diameter, and could be generated from a special plant that would cost no more than $200,000 and would take only three months to construct. Page 3 Phenomena Magazine: August 2014 - Issue 64: www.phenomenamagazine.co.uk
A dozen such plants, located at strategic points along the coast, would be enough to defend the country against all aerial attack.
Tesla further claimed that the beam could melt any engine, whether diesel or gasoline, and would also ignite the explosives aboard any bomber. No possible defense against it could be devised, as the beam would be all‐penetrating through wood and metal alike. This is obviously nearly laughably “dated” material, given that it speaks of planes powered by gasoline and diesel fuel. The technology of military aircraft has come so far since the era in which Tesla was speaking that it becomes difficult to see the relevance of his claims at all. But let us read further. “The New York Times” writer continues by say‐ ing, “The beam, he states, involves four new inventions, two of which already have been tested. One of these is a method and apparatus that eliminates the need for a ‘high vacuum’; a second is a process for producing ‘very great electrical force’; the third is a method of amplify‐ ing this force, and the fourth is a new method for producing ‘a tremendous repelling electrical force.’ This would be the projector, or the gun of the system.”
Tesla also told the reporter that the voltage used to propel the beam to its target would attain a potential of 80 million volts, thus causing micro‐ scopic electrical particles of matter to be cata‐ pulted on their mission of defensive destruction. Tesla said he had been working on the invention for many years and had made numerous improve‐ ments on it. It is interesting to note that Tesla was promoting the invention as a weapon of defense, not as an offensive weapon of mass destruction. Tesla said that, given adequate funding, he could have the device up and running within three months. Had the government taken him up on his offer, he might have had the Death Ray in place before the attack at Pearl Harbor, which happened a little more than a year after Tesla went public with his proposal in “The New York Times.” According to writer and Tesla expert Tim Swartz, what Tesla is describing is to our current age the familiar con‐ cept of the particle beam weapon. “The concept of the Death Ray,” Swartz said in an interview conducted for the book, “was nothing new back at the turn of the century. There were a number of scientists working on the idea. I re‐ cently saw a photograph that showed British sci‐ entists in 1924 working on a Death Ray. There was no description, but it looked almost like they were working on a form of laser beam. So it wasn’t science fiction. It’s just that the technology at the time wasn’t up to the requirements to make a Death Ray feasible. There was no power source available to energize a beam to make it effective. “But Tesla was probably one of the first scien‐ tists,” Swartz continued, “to come forward with something new in terms of actually building a Death Ray. In the mid‐1930s, Tesla laid out his preliminary design for accelerating microscopic particles of mercury and tungsten to incredible velocities. Tesla preferred that his beam be com‐ posed of a long train of single particles in order to minimize any scattering due to collisions within the beam.” In the interview, Swartz goes on to explain other technical details about how Tesla would have succeeded where others were failing in their at‐ tempts to develop a Death Ray. The U.S. govern‐ ment may also have been impressed with Tesla’s progress. When the inventor died in 1943, the feds raided his laboratory and hotel room, seizing the papers and notes he had left behind. FBI documents released under the Freedom of Information Act revealed that the government’s main interest in seizing Tesla’s papers was for the design of his Death Ray.
The Mystery of the Tesla Columbia Death Ray By Sean Casteel
Before his death, a financially ailing Tesla had tried to sell his invention to various countries, including the U.S. and the Soviet Union, but was told they weren’t interested, perhaps because they were already doing their own experiments with particle beam technology and believed their own designs were superior to his. But building such a weapon may have turned out to be more difficult than they had anticipated, thus they con‐ fiscated Tesla’s notes in hopes of getting a better idea of what progress he may have been making with the problems involved. There are conflicting stories about it, but some believe Tesla’s papers were then returned to the government of his native Yugoslavia, which allowed the Soviet Union easy access to them and may have helped them leap ahead of the U.S. in particle beam technol‐ ogy. I asked Swartz if what we are dealing with are scientists who basically picked up the ball from Tesla and ran with it.
conjecture. It’s my opinion that if these Tesla‐ based energy weapons WERE that effective, we would be seeing them used more often and not being kept secret. If somebody really had a con‐ trollable particle beam energy weapon, based on Tesla technology, I think they would be all too happy to let the rest of the world know that they’ve got this weapon.” Swartz acknowledged that, on the other hand, the rumored secrecy around the Tesla Death Ray might in fact be all too real. “One of the reasons you would want to keep it secret,” he said, “is that that’s your ace. You’re going to keep that hidden until the very last min‐ ute. And you’re not going to use it unless you really, really have to. Then, when you really have to, you strike your enemy down. Boom! ‘Don’t mess with us. We’ve got this!’ So if there was any reason to keep something like this secret, that
quite a ways beyond Tesla’s original concepts. “HAARP allegedly takes this idea one step fur‐ ther,” Swartz went on, “and uses different fre‐ quencies of electromagnetic energy, radio fre‐ quency, to achieve the same effects. So you trans‐ mit your energy into the atmosphere and focus it at a distance, which then enables it to be aimed anywhere on the globe. Some people have specu‐ lated that the HAARP facility, at least in part, is a missile defense installation, or at least an ‘experimental’ missile defense installation, using radio frequencies to try to knock missiles out of the sky.”
“Yeah,” he replied. “You know, after World War II, both the United States and the Soviet Union were in a Cold War. They were developing missiles and atomic weapons and they were also trying to come up with anything else that could give them an edge over the other. The whole idea originally of the Tesla‐based energy weapons was that they were to be used as a missile defense shield that could knock missiles or planes out of the sky be‐ fore they had a chance to explode over your terri‐ tory. So both the United States and the Soviet Union and probably other countries – China, maybe even Israel – were working on these same devices. “Now, whether or not they’re currently very ef‐ fective,” Swartz added, “is still open to
alone would be it. But again, probably one of the major reasons that this technology is being kept secret is that it’s not an easy technology to con‐ trol. You could just as easily kill yourself in oper‐ ating something like this than kill someone else.” And what does all this have to do with the Co‐ lumbia disaster? According to Swartz, “A radio operator by the name of Marshall Smith has reported that on the day that Columbia was going down, HAARP was doing what he called their ‘missile defense radio transmissions.’ Now, a lot of researchers have asserted that the HAARP facility in Alaska is the U.S. version of a Tesla electromagnetic energy weapon, albeit more sophisticated than the ones that the Soviet Union was working on, and going
Returning to the story told by Marshall Smith, Swartz said, “Smith, who has been a licensed commercial radio engineer since the 1960s, re‐ ported that on the morning of Saturday, February 1, 2003, HAARP was transmitting from 4:15 AM to about 7:20 AM PST in missile defense mode. That was the first HAARP transmission since late 2002. Columbia re‐entered the atmosphere over Califor‐ nia at 5:53 AM PST, right in the middle of HAARP’s transmissions. “Smith speculates that this may have been an accidental testing – or maybe deliberate, though I’d hate to think that – but an accidental testing of HAARP’s antimissile defense capabilities. The space shuttle accidentally got in the way and was brought down. Page 4 Phenomena Magazine: August 2014 - Issue 64: www.phenomenamagazine.co.uk
The Mystery of the Tesla Columbia Death Ray By Sean Casteel
I find it very interesting that the radio frequencies that Tesla talked about using for his electromag‐ netic defense shield are the same frequencies that HAARP was broadcasting on the morning that the shuttle came down.”
Swartz said he prefers to believe the tragedy was an accident, but admits we will likely never know for sure. “Nobody’s going to come forward and say, ‘Oh, by the way, we accidentally killed seven astronauts because somebody left the transmitter in Alaska on a little too long.’ But if that’s the case,” he said, “it also shows how effective this Tesla‐based technology can be over great dis‐ tances.” The idea that the Columbia disaster may have been a deliberate act is not an easy one to deal with for Swartz. It forces one to consider uncom‐ fortable theories of political conspiracy or terror‐ ists operating at a frightening level of technologi‐ cal expertise. The possibility that a terrorist or‐ ganization like Al Qaeda could get hold of a parti‐ cle beam weapon is very “James Bondian,” Swartz said, and he is probably correct that such scenar‐ ios fall outside the realm of believability very quickly. In any case, to those interested in reading about these and other ideas in more detail, don’t hesi‐ tate to check out the Global Communications reprint of “Nikola Tesla’s Death Ray and the Co‐ lumbia Space Shuttle Disaster,” as well as other books on Nikola Tesla the company has published. Obviously, none of these books can give the reader definitive answers, and may not even al‐ ways ask the right questions. But they can appeal to the imagination, they can entertain, and they can provide a look at Tesla as a primary architect of our current technological age without what some consider the obligatory reining in of the childlike urge to explore these mysteries with an open mind and a willingness to believe in what we are so often told is impossible by debunkers and the people for whom repressive secrecy is a ne‐ cessity they have forgotten is ultimately evil. Glimpses of a Separate Reality - Part 1: An Interview with Dolores Cannon. By Malcolm Robinson.
Editors note: This interview was conducted on the 27th of August 2011 by Malcolm
Robinson at the Copthorne Hotel in Kensington, London, England. As one would expect, the views expressed by Ms Cannon are entirely her own and not necessarily shared or endorsed in any way by this magazine. Ms Cannon uses and teaches a unique method of hypnotic regression that she created, it is called ‘The Quantum Healing Hypnosis Therapy Technique’ and may (or equally may not) have some value. Please also be aware that hypnotic regression can be a risky and unreliable process at the best of times and frequently produces some very misleading answers. Ms Cannon charges fees for her courses and tuition.

Glimpses of a Separate Reality - Part 1: An Interview with Dolores Cannon. By Malcolm Robinson.
Introduction Abbreviations (MR) Malcolm Robinson (DC) Dolores Cannon. Dolores Cannon is one of the most interesting people that I have interviewed in many years. The interview you are about to read could well have gone on for days as there was so much to cover. However, that said this interview touches on subjects dear to Dolores’s heart. From the Greys to Re‐ Incarnation, from why the aliens are here to their agenda. Dolores presents some startling information of which we’re pleased to share with the readers of Paranormal Magazine. Dolores Cannon is the world’s foremost pioneering past life regressionist. She is the author of 17 books and is a crop circle and UFO Investigator for 25 years. (MR) Dolores, welcome to London and thanks for taking time out of your busy schedule to meet up with me today. Dolores, before we get started, tell me a little bit about yourself, your early life and how did your fascination begin with all these subjects, what was the spark that fuelled the fire of the interest that you have today? It didn’t start that long ago. My fifth book, ‘Lives Remembered’ tells how it all began. I was always interested in the weird and the strange and the un‐ usual, but way back when I was a girl there was no information about any of that (UFOs, ghosts, crop circles etc) so it didn’t start way back there. I knew there was ‘something’ out there, but I was busy raising a family. My husband was career Navy [for] 21 years and I went all over the world with him so that was the main focus there. It wasn’t until the 1960’s before I got into hypnosis that’s where I get all my information from and that started over forty years ago. But we were using hypnosis in those days just for habits; you know stop smoking weight prob‐ lems, in those days there was nothing else that you could use hypnosis for. I got into reincarnation by accident if fate can call it an accident we were on a Navy base and this one doctor came up to me and said they he had a client who had a nervous eating disorder and that she was very obese kidney prob‐ lems and high blood pressure so all he wanted me to do was to relax her he thought that that might help. But while we were doing the work on her, my husband and I, she went into a past life. And if you remember 40 years ago there was no such thing, no books out on it, nobody believed in any of this nobody knew what you were talking about. So that’s when it all began, way back then. Then I got into the past life regression therapy full time, but when it was doing all that and I had already had two books out is when I was approached by the UFO community that was in the 1980’s. This was in Arkansas an area they call the Bible Belt. So in that area, if they recorded something like this they wouldn’t know what to do with it. So they came to me and they said they had a woman who thought she had had a UFO experience and they said they had taken her to a psychologist, the psychologist didn’t know what to do with her. They got her under and got her on board the craft but he didn’t know what to do so he just woke her up which is the worst kind of therapy you can do. And so they said would I work with her as I had been working in the bizarre for so long that she might not frighten you. So I agreed to work with her but all my work had been done with past life’s and the first case I did was in front of 25 MU‐ FON Investigators (The Mutual UFO Network based in Seguin Texas) they were having their state meeting and that they were going to have the woman there and would I come and put her under in front of the whole group so that they could all ask questions. And I had never done a case that had them staying in ‘this life’ before so I had to devise another technique to do it. So they had no idea and I didn’t know what was going to happen either but she went under and had a wonderful experience from this spacecraft and that was the beginning of my work with the UFOs. And I was called into In‐ vestigations all the time after that.
(MR) Obviously you have studied hypnosis quite extensively. (DC) Well I have my own method that I have invented. (MR) The deeper somnambulistic state? (DC) Yes. (MR) Do you think that cryptomnesia, which is a state that when people are under hypnosis they start to recall things that they the conscious mind has forgotten, then whilst under hypnosis they start to recall events from early childhood, convinces them into believing that these things happened to them, which clearly they have not. Do you not think that this could answer not only the UFO abductee scenario, but also account for the very similar past life accounts that we hear about? I’ve had this question asked many times but I work differently from the other investigators. I use ‘my form’ of hypnosis that I have worked with and there is no way that that could happen. You see the other investigators work at the light level of trance. In the light level of trance that conscious mind is very active, that fear factor the emotional part, well that’s active. But I don’t work there, I go beyond that to the deepest possible levels. And when you are in that deep level, you get a different story altogether than what they even remember. You see, I’ve worked with the E.T’s and they have talked right through the client and they have given me the whole story themselves. So it’s a different way of working. At the lighter levels it’s harder to get the information be‐ cause of the chemical reaction of the mind. If you keep the person into that emotional level, they’ve had the experience they think of it as something negative very emotional, that’s because they are not remembering the ‘real experience’. They said that it has to do with the mind; it has to do with the additives in our food. The others work in the light levels, whereas I work in the deepest possible level. At that level you get the conscious mind out of the way so that it cannot interfere. The ideal situation is whenever that person has had an experience that they should never remember anything because the E.Ts don’t want to disrupt that person’s life, they have been coming since the beginning of time they may have been here since the world was created. So they don’t want to disrupt the person’s life, you’re not supposed to remember what has been happen‐ ing. But the way the world is today, they (the aliens) have no control over it because of the additives in our food the pollutants in the air if the person is into alcohol or drugs either medical or recreational affects the chemistry of the brain.
Page 10 Phenomena Magazine: August 2014 - Issue 64: www.phenomenamagazine.co.uk
Glimpses of a Separate Reality - Part 1: An Interview with Dolores Cannon. By Malcolm Robinson.
So when they are having an experience, they are remembering it in a dis‐ torted fashion because of the chemistry of the brain being altered. So what the person remembers is not correct because they are colouring it with their ‘perceived’ emotions. And when I take the person into the deeper level and go back to the actual experience that’s when we get the real story and it’s not at all what they remember. And then they say, ‘well I can handle that’. (MR) The big question of course that our readers would want to know is...’Why’.. Is there a purpose to all this, in that some UFO abductees have been taken as a child, as a teenager through to adulthood? (DC) Yes I have worked with many of those. (MR) Is there a purpose then? (DC) Yes definitely there is a purpose. They signed on for this mission. Noth‐ ing is ever done without the person’s permission. This is what a lot of them don’t understand. Before you come into the life here, you make a plan about what you hope to do with your life and when you are making that plan, the E.T’s come and say “This is what we are going to be involved with while you are alive do you want to be involved in this program? And they’ll say “yes” and you more or less sign a contract. And so when they get in there we forget, and they say why is it that you always forget your contract. Many times during the session they’ll say, “Don’t you remember you signed the contract”. (MR) Now you are mentioning signing a contract here, is that like saying your life is pre‐ordained that somewhere in a previous life it was mapped out for me to be born in Scotland and to do the work that I am doing. (DC) On the spirit side that’s where it was all arranged. (MR) Now I have said, and maybe this is wrong for me to say, but I have said that I would love to be abducted. (DC) Only if you are part of the programme. (MR) Yeah, OK (laughs). (DC) People ask me after a lecture on how they can get in on part of the programme. Well I say that’s nothing I can help them with, they sign on be‐ fore they come in, this is on the spirit side it’s nothing to do with a past life. (MR) Now I’m sure you’ll appreciate it Dolores that there are those who will tell us that they have not had very good UFO abduction experiences, and yet you say the UFO abduction experience is good. (DC) The reason they are saying that they are not so good is that they are not remembering ‘exactly’ what happened it is being distorted and coloured by the emotions of their mind. Once you take the conscious mind out of the picture you get to what ‘really happened’ then it’s a totally different story and it’s not frightening because they understand the purpose of all of it. (MR) Then it’s a shame that they can’t recall and tell us the beauty of the ‘true’ experience rather than the negative experience and that it’s the nega‐ tive experience that remains where it should have been filtered away so that the true experience of meeting these beings remains. (DC) But like I say, you’re not supposed to remember anything. That’s be‐ cause you are supposed to live ‘this life’ and that would be interference. If they remember it negative, that’s not good either. (MR) Now you have been doing this work for many years, and wonderful work it is to, can I ask, how many different races of ‘beings’ that are out there in the universe that are visiting planet Earth? (DC) Countless (laughs) countless. (MR) Are they all friendly? Page 11 Phenomena Magazine: August 2014 - Issue 64: www.phenomenamagazine.co.uk
(DC) They are not allowed to come to Earth unless they are. You see they are rules and regulations about the whole thing. Definite rules and regula‐ tions that you cannot go against. If you try then you are out of the federa‐ tion they will not allow you to come near Earth. You are not allowed to inter‐ fere in another person’s life, only if they have agreed to it before hand. And they say that if a person is unhappy and scared with it and does not want to be part of the programme anymore then they (the aliens) say that they don’t want this anger that’s not what it’s all about. So if you don’t want to be in it, just tell us and we will let you out. But I’ve dealt with many many different types. There are some types that you would not even imagine could possibly be alive. It’s not just the simple ones that you hear about. But there are only certain races that are on this assignment. There are some, that when they are allowed to come in the last thousand years that have been trying to go against some of the regulations but they are under strict observance. (MR) But are they all privy to the same understanding that they should not overly interfere in our society and culture. (DC) They are not bad, none of them are. On every planet there is, you de‐ velop according to the primeval soup the chemicals of that planet that’s how the body is formed. Some races developed along the reptilian line, some along the insectoid line, we developed along the mammal line. Then you have some races that are a combination of many of these and there are some that you wouldn’t even think could be a being. (MR) Now they are obviously coming here, but is this by travelling vast dis‐ tances through space, or, is this a dimensional thing that brings them instan‐ taneously here rather than transport in some kind of ship either by chemical or fuel consumption? (MR) That’s the long way (laughs) that’s not the way they travel. They raise their vibrations and their frequencies of their ‘craft’ to go through dimen‐ sions. You know, when you watch a fan blade it speeds up and becomes invisible, so when they are ready to leave the planet for instance they will raise the vibration and frequency of their craft and it instantly disappears. And some people have reported lights in the sky and suddenly they are gone. The same way when they come back in they have to slow down their vibra‐ tions and then all of a sudden there is something there that wasn’t there before. They go between dimensions that way. (MR) Do you have anyone from one of these alien races that are constantly in communication with you. (DC) It was when I was writing my books, but now I only get them occasion‐ ally. When I was writing my books it was intense, they gave me tons of infor‐ mation. (MR) So is it a state of you pacifying your mind to somehow attain their vi‐ brations to allow them to communicate with you. Can you sit quietly for

instance and ‘tune in’ as it were to allow them to come through? (DC) They always come through the people I am working with. The people I work with are the ones that I get information from. (MR) What I like about you Dolores is that you think ‘out of the box’ that you are looking at the whole UFO subject at a completely different level. (DC) Once you do that you never go back to that other way of thinking. (MR) And we need to do this, we need to do this Dolores I mean if we are all walking down the same road it’s not getting us anywhere. If we branch off that road and look to the left, look to the right, which we should of course be doing, then and only then, we may see the UFO subject in a whole new light. (DC) Alright, do you know why you see so many of the little greys? They are robots, they are biologically created beings. I mean if we were going to cre‐ ate a robot, we would create something that looked just like us and it would probably be physical, and that is what they are. The real beings that do all the research because that is what it is all about the research of the people on Earth the accumulation and information on how they are developing trying to cure the diseases that’s all done on their laboratory ships. Huge enor‐ mous ships, some as big as cities and they are up in the atmosphere and because they are vibrating at different frequencies you can’t see them. They don’t want to come into our atmosphere, because it is a dense and heavy and it is very difficult on their bodies, they come down and they try to adjust, it’s very hard, they don’t want to be here. The one’s who have re‐ ported, the other types of ‘beings’ in their rooms, well that’s a holographic projection, because they don’t want to be here so they developed these little beings that are developed to withstand the pressure and density of Earth and the little craft are developed to withstand that so they come down, do the sampling and take the people they need to be with because when they go to work on them, it is to ‘heal them’. But that’s a difference from the little guys who’ll take the information back to the laboratory ship where they have the seven foot tall ones that look just like them, those are the scientists and there is a whole lot of other ones on their too. Now does that make a little more sense? (MR) It does, but again, what is the main purpose for them coming here that they are abducting us, will there be a cut off point that there will never be any more abductions? (DL) They don’t need any more now, they have finished their project.
(MR) They have! Seriously? (DC) They’re not needed anymore, they are moving in another direction now. (MR) Now that’s quite important and that’s a big point. When you say they are finished now, in what regard, is it abductions, the contacts, the sightings. (DC) They don’t call it abductions, they call it visitations. The abductions if you want to call them that started when they were children because they did come in, but the energy in a lot of these people who did come in is very dif‐ ferent from humans, they don’t have any memory of this. So they have to be watched over and taken care of from the time they come to Earth and they are constantly adjusting the frequencies and the energies of these people. They think they are being harmed although it’s just making sure that their bodies are functioning the way that they are supposed to be functioning to live on Earth. So they are just taking care of their own people if you want to put it that way. (MR) Dolores, can I ask you, who is their creator, who is their God? (DC) The same as our God, there is only one (laughs) They are closer to him than we will ever be. (MR) The reason I asked that is that allegedly God made man in his own image. (DC) Yes, so what is that image? (MR) Christianity would say that that image is the image of a human face. (DC) No, that is because you think that God is looking like a human. (MR) Yes I agree..(laughs) (DC) What is the image of God! It’s spirit. I know who God is we have con‐ tacted him so many times, it’s a sprit. It’s a spirit a soul, not a physical body. The human form is the most common in the universe because it is practical, the head the torso, the two arms and two legs, there are many other kinds but that is the most practical so the majority of them look like this form. (MR) Do you think that.......... (DC) There is only one God: you have been an E.T too in other lives (MR) Probably (laughs) (DC) Do you know why they are closer to him than we are? (MR) Why? (DC) They depend upon him for their very existence where we don’t. They live off of light, light energy they don’t consume anything. And I said well where does this light energy come from, it comes from the source. (MR) I know so little, I’m just a nobody, and I’m here today to learn. I’m hearing you for the very first time which is great and I am taking on board what you are saying and I am asking you what you may perceive as sceptical questions... (DC) Yes. (MR) Now you of course are doing your own line of work but there are oth‐ ers, the Disclosure Project who are doing their own work. (DC) Yes I know the guys in the Disclosure Project. They can do all they want but it’s not going to make any difference. (DC) I’m sorry if I am disregarding you. Page 12 Phenomena Magazine: August 2014 - Issue 64: www.phenomenamagazine.co.uk
Glimpses of a Separate Reality - Part 1: An Interview with Dolores Cannon. By Malcolm Robinson.
(MR) No, no, that’s fine, I mean we all have our own take on the subject that’s what makes it all so interesting. But the main reason I am here today, is to ask you why are they here, what are they doing what are they hoping to achieve and you are helping me to understand that Dolores which I thank you for..... (DC) Yes because they have been here forever. It didn’t just happen in the last 70 years. They have been taking care of us and watching over us since the beginning of the creation of man. (MR) Moving on to another question and correct me if I am wrong, but I do not believe that E.T’s call them what you will, helped build the pyramids and encroached into certain aspects of man’s growing. (DC) No, because those were the survivors of Atlantis. (MR) Because it’s my belief that we don’t give enough credence to the inge‐ nuity of man. I mean back then we didn’t have Play Stations televisions, lap tops etc, we just had the land and humans had more time to look at things differently. So my question to you is did aliens build or help to build the pyra‐ mids, I don’t think so, but what do you think?
(DC) But they helped in the very beginning when they first got the knowl‐ edge, we had all these civilisations that had the ultimate knowledge those were all begun by the E.T’s. And they taught them how to use their minds and the development of their mind was so that they could do anything. It reached the point that they could use their mind to do levitation for the moulding of rocks, they were taught by the E.Ts. They have been taught everything since the beginning of time. They taught man how to plant, how to start fires, all of that was done by the E.Ts. And they lived amongst the people for so long trying to teach them that humans began to treat them like Gods. The legends of the Gods are just E.Ts that lived with them to give them the knowledge. They don’t die until they are ready to die so imagine how long they would have lived with these civilisations teaching them so that when they were ready they taught them how to levitate they taught them everything with their lives. Then man stood up, as he always does and time and time again, as he always does, man messed the whole thing up. Then they had to start all over again (the aliens) and they got tired of it. But the pyramids were con‐ structed by the survivors of Atlantis as they still had the knowledge. Also the ones in Peru and all over the world were down to the survivors of Atlantis. And I have written about all of this and it all ties together. They have been here since the beginning that is why they are called the Watchers. (MR) Now we are obviously just round the corner from 2012 which is next year and.... (DC) (laughs) well I have lectured about this everywhere. (MR) Well I don’t think that the world is going to end in December 2012. Page 13 Phenomena Magazine: August 2014 - Issue 64: www.phenomenamagazine.co.uk
(DC) Oh definitely not. (MR) Dolores Cannon, 2012, what does it mean to you? (DC) Nothing (laughs) It’s just a date, it will come and go just like all the other ones have. Remember the year 2000 when they said that the whole world would come to a stop all the computers would crash etc and nothing happened. I was the only speaker at that time (2000) that was saying that nothing was going to happen. We are going into the new Earth, from the old one to the new we are going to have the separation of the two and the vibra‐ tions and the frequencies of the entire planet is going to move into another dimension and frequency, that’s what the year 2012 signifies. By the time we get to 2012 that just means that we have reached the energy where we will move over to another dimension. It’s the first time in the history of the universe that an entire planet is going to move into another frequency and other dimension. (MR) Which will be better! (DC) (laughs) it’s in the Bible, at the end of the Bible Revelation a new heaven and a new Earth, and the ET’s are out there watching wondering if we are going to be able to do this. This will be the biggest show on Earth. 2012 is when it’s supposed to culminate that the date itself doesn’t mean anything and I could go into more of that about the Mayan Calendar and all of that but there is nothing negative about it at all, it’s beautiful. (MR) Moving on from 2012 and not ‘our’ disclosure, but will there be an ‘alien’ disclosure? That the ships will reveal themselves.... (DC) No.... (MR) That these small greys will finally show themselves...and that.... (DC) No, and you know why? (MR) Well, do tell me. (DC) Well you talk about 2012 and that’s to do with the new Earth. OK. Now when we were created they said give this beautiful planet a creature with intelligence and free will and see what he does with it. We are the only planet in the whole universe that has free will. (MR) OK. (DC) So along with free will was the other directive which is from Star Trek but it’s real. The directive of non‐interference. Once you have created a civilisation you cannot interfere with its development. All they can do is watch so how can they interfere and land, they are watching to see what we are going to do. They cannot interfere unless we get to the stage where we are going to blow up the whole planet; otherwise they are just watching us. The Government knows all about this they have known for a long time. They said that it would do no good to have disclosure for then the people would say “Oh you have been lying to us” No there won’t be any disclosure like that. It’s not like the past when they were living amongst us, they can’t just suddenly land and walk down the streets because that’s interference. That’s taking away our free will. (MR) Dolores, you are holding a lot of workshops here in the UK and Ireland indeed all over the world on past lives and regression etc. When people come along to your seminars and workshops, what can they expect to get out of it? (DC) Well they know my books, and they know me from searching the inter‐ net the internet generation has just discovered me and that’s what’s amaz‐ ing. So they know my work, and I have to focus on certain things with them because there is so much information. (MR) When we look at past lives and past life regression, people say the

reason for reincarnation in the first place is to reach that Godhead so to speak, to be the best that we can be and that upon doing so, we don’t need to come back. And if that’s the case, then how many lifetimes do we need to do, until we get it right? (DC) Hundreds and hundreds. (MR) (Laughs) yes it probably is. I think I have a few hundred to go myself, (laughs) (DC) Oh yes. When I say that at my lectures people look depressed. I think you’ve probably done a lot of them and you don’t have to worry about it. You’ve been around hundreds and hundreds of times, you’ve been around forever and you’ve been born in every body. (MR) Male or female.... (DC) Oh more than that. You start out as rocks and plants and animals. (MR) Do we! (DC) Oh I’ve had so many people be them. You have got to know what it’s like to be everything. How can you do that by just being a human? (MR) Can you remember Dolores what ‘you’ have been in the past obviously you have had lots and lots of lifetimes, but is there any specific lifetime that you can say, you know what Malcolm, I remember being so and so. DC) Oh I know I’ve experienced those life’s, but I don’t need it anymore. This is what I did with my therapy where I took people back to the most ap‐ propriate life to what relates to what they are doing right now. If it’s a rock
so be it, you’ll learn something from it. I know about eight of my past lives, I don’t need to do it anymore. (MR) People say well why do we have past lives if we can’t remember what those past lives were to make us better? (DC) And do you know why you can’t remember? (MR) I don’t know, probably because we don’t or shouldn’t need to know! (DC) it’s a school, it’s moving on to the next lesson. You can’t skip from kin‐ dergarten to college. You have to repeat it if you don’t get it right, that’s the hard part, on how many times you have to repeat the same lesson till you get it right. So you can’t go onto the next one till you get that one right. So when we’re born, we know what we are going to do but because of free will we don’t know if we can. So you get in here, and then the memory is taken away. And I said, wouldn’t it be better if we knew why we came that we knew our connection with other people and what our contract is, and they said “no” “It wouldn’t be a test if you had the answers”. (MR) OK I can understand that. And the ET’s have said that we are the only race in the universe that doesn’t remember. We are the only ones that don’t remember our connection to God and why we are here. You see there is a reason, we have to work harder. You see now the veil is thinning what they call the awakening; we are going into the new Earth people are beginning to remember. Our psychic abilities are coming back, everything is changing, it is getting better. But you can’t do that until you go through all these different grades, that’s all it is, you have to graduate before you go back to God. Part 2 to follow soon...
UFO'S AND NATO ‐ The Human Mutilation Cover Up In 2009 Richplanet produced “Silent Killers”: A documentary exposing the truth about animal mutilation in the UK, and attempts by authorities to cover up what is happening. Animal carcases including horses, sheep and cows have been discovered regularly having undergone surgical procedures, where blood and organs are cleanly removed. The phenomenon is difficult to explain in conventional terms, and has been linked for decades with UFO’s, because strange lights are sometimes witnessed in proximity to sites where animal carcases are found. A question people ask when they hear about animal mutilation is whether human beings have suffered similar attacks. This film attempts to answer this very controversial question. Rumours about human mutilation have circulated among the UFO community for years with some people claiming to have had contact with a military group which is used to acquire the corpses of victims of human mutilation. In the film we reveal the testimony of a black ops soldier, who was employed by a secret NATO “find and secure” military team. Their job is to search for and then protect sites where human mutilation has taken place until another team arrives to remove the evidence. A staggering claim revealed in the film is the level of advanced knowledge NATO has of UFO activity, and technology used to intercept UFOs in attempts to bring them to the ground. The “find and secure” team would be sent out to locations before UFO activity had taken place, indicating NATO has some sort of advanced intelligence about the behaviour of UFOs. Our source also claims NATO has technology with the capability of immobilising UFOs which it has used to acquire them.

The Case of the Two Bobs By Archie Lawrie
Glasgow Airport, Scotland, moved onto the world stage on June 30th 2007 when two terrorist bombers attempted to ram their car laden with gas cylinders, nails and petrol in through the main door, only to be thwarted by brave onlookers like John Smeaton. Ten years prior to that event there was a notable psychic happening in the very same building which, while not so dramatic, certainly merits mentioning here. The above title is as accurate a title as you’ll get anywhere and I think I’ll just leave the names as they are, for it concerns two airline pilots who are both of the same name.

The Case of the Two Bobs By Archie Lawrie
In fact, they flew daily as pilot and co‐pilot on the route that lay between Glasgow and an outer Scottish island. This close professional friendship lasted for the several years they worked together and during that time they were always referred to as “Bob One” and “Bob Two” so who am I to change their identity? The tale I now tell, I got from Bob One…not once but three times, for I heard it in a person‐to‐ person way as well as at two further lectures on psychic topics organized by the Scottish Society for Psychical Research when it was treated as a case to be looked into! As you can imagine, I listened very attentively at the second and third lecturers, looking all the time for a tell‐tale variation in this or that fact which might lead me to believe that imagination might have played its part in the whole business. I am pleased to tell you that at no time did I de‐ tect any variation whatever in the telling of this story. That, coupled with the investigation into the case (regretfully handicapped to a degree), leads me to believe that what I now tell you is the truth. Having spent a few years flying side by side on a short but picturesque route, Bob Two broke the news to his colleague one day that he had to undergo medical tests for some mysterious ill‐ ness that had begun to affect him. He was 38 years old. With the possibility of their professional partner‐ ship coming to an end, Bob One decided that perhaps now was the time to expand his flying career. He plucked up courage and broke the news to his fellow that he had applied for a new post which would entail his flying freight from Glasgow to Moscow rather than transporting people to the Western Isles. The parting of the ways was a sad one for both men but it happens in all professions as people move up the ladder and as time passed and as aircrew chatted one to the other, they each heard news and stories about the other. After about nine months, Bob One heard that Bob Two had been seriously ill ...some form of cancer, but rumour had it that the man’s illness had been caught in time and that treatment had appar‐ ently proved successful, or at least reasonably so. The day came when Bob One was bringing back a plane from Russia to Glasgow which was due to be re‐loaded and then flown off the following day in the reverse direction. To accomplish that, Bob booked a place at the hotel nearest to Glas‐ gow airport as well as arranging for a friend to come and to take him to it at around 2.20pm. He landed around lunchtime and reported in and then spent a bit of time in the airport staff quar‐ ters. He passed that period by chatting with his fellows and as 2.20pm came and went he began
looking at the door periodically for the arrival of his friend who was to give him his lift. By 2.40pm no one had arrived to collect him. He felt some‐ what let down so he picked up his bags and say‐ ing “Goodbye” he left the room and moved out into the main hall of the airport with a view to going through it to the taxi rank, which lay just outside the front doors of the building. Bob One began pushing his way through the milling crowds towards his goal and the glass doors beyond but something extraordinary even‐ tually stopped him in his tracks. When he got about halfway across the concourse (as it was laid out in those days) he became aware of that feeling that we all have had at some point or other, that someone was looking at him. He felt that he was being looked at from the far left and it was to there that he turned his gaze to find himself scanning people approaching from the extreme left‐hand, east, glass door which was really quite far away, perhaps thirty or more yards.
man was obviously not a well man. The pair stood chatting in a most normal way for nearly ten minutes about families and things in gen‐ eral and fresh flight‐routes and really every‐ thing under the sun except health, which Bob One thought best not to bring into conversa‐ tion. All of a sudden Bob Two raised his wrist and looked at his watch. Now I must tell you here that when flight crew look at watches they often tend to check syn‐ chronization and so Bob One also raised his wrist and noted the time; it was just coming up to 2.55 in the afternoon. “Look,” said Bob Two, almost apologetically, “I’ve got to go. I’ve a plane to catch!” “And I’ve to get a taxi!” replied Bob One, bend‐ ing down to pick up both his bags as Bob Two moved away towards the check‐in desk for the Western Isles. When he drew himself up to his full height once more, which must have taken no more than two seconds, and with the weight
In a moment he spotted Bob Two who was mak‐ ing straight towards him and realizing that he had not seen his friend for such a long time he immediately put down his bags and stood up‐ right, awaiting with pleasure the company of his old acquaintance. The poor man looked a bit pale and he had obviously lost many pounds in weight although he had never been a large man at any time. His whole demeanour was not helped by the fact that he was not in uniform but was wearing a rather shabby woollen jersey. “My! My!” said our friend to the second Bob, who was noticeably a changed man, “I haven’t seen you for ages! How are you doing?” He put forward his hand to shake that of the new arrival but Bob Two did not stretch forth his to return the greeting and so Bob One quietly dropped his outstretched hand to his side once more. It sud‐ denly occurred to him that his old friend was perhaps tired and maybe still rather unwell. Con‐ trary to what he had heard from fellow fliers the
of the bags straining his arms, he turned to say a final, “Goodbye” and “Good‐Luck!” to his friend but much to the first man’s amazement Bob Two had already disappeared! The crowds had thinned out now so that the density of the people present could be de‐ scribed as sparse and look around as he did, he could see no sign of his friend anywhere in the terminal. “My!” he thought to himself, “For an ill‐looking guy he sure shifted!” Bob One had one final glance around for his friend but seeing no trace of him went and called a taxi outside the front door of the air‐ port. He eventually checked in at the hotel and after a quick bite to eat went up to his room and fell fast asleep for the rest of the day. Many aircrew use this hotel on a regular basis and so it was not surprising that Bob found himself at breakfast table opposite another Page 18 Phenomena Magazine: August 2014 - Issue 64: www.phenomenamagazine.co.uk

ex‐colleague who started a congenial conversa‐ tion and who had brought a newspaper with him. He was rude enough to eat and read at the same time and halfway through the meal he pushed the paper across the table and said to Bob, “You knew that guy didn’t you? Did you not fly with him quite a bit?” Bob took the newspaper and stared at the article in disbelief for it was an obituary: In fact it was the obituary of Bob Two! It told of his life as a pilot and all about his family and of his sudden illness and the fight he’d had against it but it sadly and amazingly recorded his death in Gartnaval Hospital, Glasgow four days before! Bob got up silently from the table and left the dining room and a puzzled colleague and went to his bedroom where he shook from head to toe until he had to lie down. How could he have seen Bob the day before? How could he have talked with him? How could he have stood within inches of the man for nearly fifteen minutes without ever realizing that he was in the presence of a ghost? As you can imagine, Bob One questioned his own mental state over the next few days and deter‐ mined to know if he had been the butt of some sort of sick joke. Could the newspaper that was pushed across the breakfast table have been organized to trick him? But how did that other pilot know that he would be at breakfast that morning? There was NO trickery, of course! Bob found that his old co‐pilot had indeed died as the obituary had stated. Further to that, he eventu‐ ally found out that Bob Two had been buried the day after their strange meeting and on the very island where he had had his home and to where his body had been returned the day before. The airport authorities were, understandably, unwilling to give out any confidential loading bill for the flight that left at 3.15pm on the day of the mysterious meeting. No one I contacted would tell me for sure whether or not the coffin and body of Bob Two had been flown back to his native island just after the fateful meeting that Bob One will never forget as long as he lives. Could it be that when Bob Two said that he had to catch a plane he had somehow realized that this was the last opportunity for his spirit and his body to travel together in an aircraft that he had so loved and on a route that had once been a big part of his life.....or is that just me being a silly sentimental old human? I’m sure you’ve all thought of the airport security cameras by now; was Bob One really standing in the middle of the concourse talking to a second person? Or did the cameras that surveyed the crowds of milling holiday‐makers show a man in pilot’s uniform taking a rest in the middle of the Page 19 Phenomena Magazine: August 2014 - Issue 64: www.phenomenamagazine.co.uk
area with his bags on the floor beside him ...as he talked aimlessly to himself. Or indeed did it show Bob One there at all that afternoon? Remembering that this all took place prior to the terrorist attacks in the USA September 11th, 2001 means that the emphasis on airport security was not as urgent a problem then as it is today. What might have been the most splendid research video of all time was “unavailable” according to the airport authorities. Try as we would, we could not get access to any evidence at all from the very people who we knew should hold it. That whole incident left me in those days with considerable suspicions about airport security and accounting processes, but I still have no evi‐ dence whatever of fraud or deception regarding the mysterious event itself.
NOTE: Perhaps the most extraordinary and credible research into the ghost phenomenon ever documented is the so-called "Ghosts of Flight 401." On December of 1972, an Eastern Airlines Tri-Star jetliner, Flight 401, crashed into a Florida swamp. The pilot, Bob Loft (on the left), and flight engineer Don Repo (on the right), were two of the 101 people who perished in the air crash. Not long after the crash, the ghosts of Loft and Repo were seen on more than twenty occasions by crew members on other Eastern Tri-Stars, especially those planes which had been fitted with parts salvaged from the Flight 401 wreckage. The above book wrote by John G. Fuller describes the true story of the above incidents, which later went on to become a well known movie by the same title...
I am sure that it will amaze some of you to know that an apparition can be so life‐ like that it can fool an intelligent and astute human being for a lengthy period of time! However, I know a good number of cases where this has happened and I must admit to thinking at times that perhaps people whom we meet in the streets or in restaurants or wherever are not as alive as we always assume them to be. After all, there must have been some passers‐by in that airport terminal that after‐ noon who truly considered that they’d passed those two pilots holding a conversa‐ tion in a normal and natural way when that was just not so. Apparitions vary very widely indeed on the scale of visibility and I can tell you the spectrum swings between total solidity (even combined with bodily warmth) as described above, to the very lowest point on the scale where an observer can find himself looking at an area of space in front of a wall, knowing that something is on that spot without ever being able to see a thing. He’s seeing within his mind some sort of totally invisible “pre‐ghost” if you like. The observer knows that there is something there but that same something also tells him that it is within the capacity of his own mind if he wishes to ‘raise’ the invisible thing to a state of actual visibility. Somehow the human is responsible for the final outcome of the situation; it is he who can, in such a case, bring a “proto‐ phantom” into a state of visibility by mental power. I do not mean that you are in some way conjuring up a ghost …it is there already in a ‘pre‐formed’ state and you are merely enabling it to move forward to the next stage; you are somehow ‘upgrading’ its status. The next highest state of visibility is the slightest hint of a faint mist in the room; this can be small, like the size of a human head, or large, like two metres in height. Such mists often show signs of movement or whirling. From then on, visibility is almost of any standard. Items and ‘people’ can be entire and transparent but without colour or parts of people can be seen and full colour displayed. Interaction can take place with the observer or a ‘recording’ type of apparition can present itself where there is zero interaction and the poor creature merely goes through certain actions in a sort of automatic way. The manner of ghosts making their disappearances is also worth considering and I must tell you that your very proximity to an apparition (as well as your mental attitude towards it) can either allow it to remain ‘unmolested’ or immediately ‘switch it off’...

THE FLY
Sometimes remakes work and sometimes they do not, but this reissue of the 1986 ver‐ sion of the 1958 original (no need for a spoiler alert here because the tale is well known) is so much better in every possible way. This shows both in how Cronenberg directs it and the way in which Jeff Goldblum steals the show as eccentric scientist Seth Brundle, whose experiments with a matter‐transmitter result in his DNA getting mixed up with that of a fly. To be honest this film is just so much scarier and technically capable than the B/W origi‐ nal starring Vincent Price. The film also details a love affair between Brundle and a fe‐ male journalist eager to record Brundle’s experiments in teleportation. She also has to watch helpless as the spliced human/insect DNA converts him into a horrific mutation. Overall this is a timely reissue of a Sci/Fi classic and well worth the price of the Blue Ray Title: The Fly Director: David Cronenberg disc, which includes several extras. Main Cast: Jeff Goldlblum, Now available on Blu‐Ray and DVD. Geena Davis Genre: Sci/Fi Horror Format: Blu‐Ray Price: £10.38 Available at Amazon
August 10 - Full Moon. The Moon will be directly opposite the Earth from the Sun and will be fully illuminated as seen from Earth. This phase occurs at 18:09 UTC. This full moon was known by early Native American tribes as the Full Sturgeon Moon because the large sturgeon fish of the Great Lakes and other major lakes were more easily caught at this time of year. This moon has also been known as the Green Corn Moon and the Grain Moon. This is also the closest and largest full Moon of the year, an annual event that has come to be known as a "supermoon" by the media. The truth is that it is only slightly larger and brighter than normal and most people are not really able to tell the difference. August 12, 13 - Perseids Meteor Shower. The Perseids is one of the best meteor showers to observe, producing up to 60 meteors per hour at its peak. It is produced by comet Swift-Tuttle, which was discovered in 1862. The Perseids are famous for producing a large number of bright meteors. The shower runs annually from July 17 to August 24. It peaks this year on the night of August 12 and the morning of August 13. The waning gibbous moon will block out some of the meteors this year, but the Perseids are so bright and numerous that it should still be a good show. Best viewing will be from a dark location after midnight. Meteors will radiate from the constellation Perseus, but can appear anywhere in the sky. August 18 - Conjunction of Venus and Jupiter. Conjunctions are rare events where two or more objects will appear extremely close together in the night sky. The two bright planets will come unusually close to each other, only a quarter of a degree, in the early morning sky. Also, the beehive cluster in the constellation Cancer will be only 1 degree away. This rare, double-planet event is definitely one not to miss. Look for the bright planets in the east just before sunrise. August 25 - New Moon. The Moon will be directly between the Earth and the Sun and will not be visible from Earth. This phase occurs at 14:13 UTC. This is the best time of the month to observe faint objects such as galaxies and star clusters because there is no moonlight to interfere. August 29 - Neptune at Opposition. The blue giant planet will be at its closest approach to Earth and its face will be fully illuminated by the Sun. This is the best time to view and photograph Neptune. Due to its extreme distance from Earth, it will only appear as a tiny blue dot in all but the most powerful telescopes.
Confirmed guest speakers for the event are Richard Dolan and key eye-witness to the Rendlesham Forest incident John Burroughs (USAF) Tech Sgt (ret). Richard Dolan Richard, born in Brooklyn, New York, in 1962 is one of the world’s leading researchers and writers on the subject of UFOs, and believes that they constitute the greatest mystery of our time. He is the author of two volumes of history, UFOs and the National Security State, both ground-breaking works which together provide the most factually complete and accessible narrative of the UFO subject available anywhere. He also co-authored a speculative book about the future, A.D. After Disclosure, the first-ever analysis not only of how UFO secrecy might end, but of the all-important question: what happens next? Richard’s latest work, UFOs for the 21st Century Mind, provides a fresh treatment of the entire subject. In it, he discusses the important sightings, the encounters, the politics, the cover-up, ancient aliens, the bizarre science, disclosure, and offers advice on being both critical and open-minded in today’s world. Like his previous three books, it asks fresh questions and offers new insights to further our understanding of the UFO mystery. Richard hosts a weekly radio show, The Richard Dolan Show, on KGRA radio, is a frequent guest on Coast-to-Coast AM. He is currently featured on several television series and documentaries, including Ancient Aliens, Hangar One: The UFO Files and Close Encounters. Prior to his interest in UFOs, Richard completed his graduate work at the University of Rochester, where he studied U.S. Cold War strategy, European history, and international diplomacy. Before that, he had studied at Alfred University and Oxford University, and had been a finalist for a Rhodes scholarship. But for the past two decades, Richard has been a dedicated student of all things related to UFOs, steadily expanding his interests within that topic from his initial focus on government documents and the cover-up. Now his interests include it all, from the deepest aspects of the coverup, to contact and abduction, the science behind the phenomenon, how the phenomenon has affected world culture, his theory of a breakaway civilization, the possible relationship of artificial intelligence and biotechnology to the UFO phenomenon, and the implications of the end of secrecy, that is, the world After Disclosure. Today, there is no aspect of the phenomenon Richard won’t study. He continues to look forward to exploring this topic in all its depth, a topic he believes opens our doors of perception, challenging us to see the world differently and more clearly. In addition to his research, Richard’s company, Richard Dolan Press, actively publishes innovative books by authors from around the world. His website is richarddolanpress.com Richard's presentation at this event will be: Global Military Encounters with UFOs: What It Means For Our Civilization. He will also touch on the Rendlesham Forest Incident.
Rendlesham Forest Incident presentation by John Burroughs (USAF) Tech Sgt (ret) Saturday September 20th, 2014. “As far as I am concerned, the entire (Rendlesham Forest) affair and evidence trail constitutes official, Top Secret confirmation that humanity is dealing with an intelligence capable of engineering interstellar travel" - John F. Burroughs, USAF Tech Sgt. (ret.) Following on the success of the 30th anniversary Rendlesham Forest Incident Conference December 28, 2010 and the Rendlesham Forest 2012 Conference we are proud to announce that the Rendlesham Forest Incident presentation by key eye-witness John Burroughs (USAF) Tech Sgt (ret) will take place on Saturday September 20th, 2014. John Burroughs, USAF Security Police/Retired. A native of Illinois, Burroughs entered the Air Force in 1979 and served over twenty six years in the US Air Force. He was assigned to RAF Bentwaters in June of 1979 as a base policeman. On the night of December 25/26, Burroughs accompanied SSGT Penniston in an investigation of unusual lights in the Rendlesham Forest adjacent to the base. What began as a routine response to a possible base incursion or accident scene would become the defining episode of Burroughs life. Subsequent to his encounter with an object of unknown origin, Burroughs's career continued to provide him with training in law enforcement and investigation, which would prove invaluable in his personal investigation of the events in Rendlesham Forest. Burroughs' presentation is intended to provide information on the storyline and events that occurred nearly 34 years ago. Of key concern to Burroughs are the medical effects resulting from his encounter, which have prompted, in his words, "an ongoing campaign to force the authorities to reveal the truth about what happened and to seek justice for the men and women caught up in these incidents, some of whom have suffered adverse physical and psychological effects. This campaign has a number of strands, including legal action, targeted Freedom of Information Act requests, and our book Encounters in Rendlesham Forest, published by St. Martins Press, one of the world's most prestigious publishing houses." He will cover analysis that did not find it's way into the publication copy of the book -- issues not fully addressed and perhaps most importantly discuss in some detail declassified documents showing the British government knows more about the Phenomenon then they have admitted. Following the presentation there will be a Q & A session. Tickets are £20 each. Please add £2 per ticket to cover paypal fees and postage. Entry is strictly ticket only, tickets will not be available on the door. We accept paypal, cheques and postal orders. The UFO Truth Magazine Conference 2014 By Ben Emlyn-Jones
Holmfirth is the most picturesque location for any conference I've ever been to. It lies in a steep‐sided valley in West Yorkshire around a rocky, fast flow‐ ing river. The town has a lucrative tourist industry mostly courtesy of the BBC because it was the location used to film the long‐running and very successful TV comedy series Last of the Summer Wine. There are numerous pubs, cafes and shops catering to the busloads of visitors that arrive every year to follow in the footsteps of Compo, Clegg, and Foggy as they stroll around cooking up various childish schemes to get the better of Nora Batty. I saw a group of Chinese people taking photographs; Last of the Summer Wine is one of the BBC's biggest exports as well as being a domestic favourite. The sky was cold and grey as I stepped off the bus in the centre of the town, and I got out the map I had printed out to find the way to my accommodation. I had decided to camp again, just like I had at the Bases Conference last week, see: http://hpanwo‐tv.blogspot.co.uk/2014/08/the‐bases‐project‐conference‐ 2014.html. Camping is very cheap and easy to organize and if you know what you're doing you can be perfectly comfortable. The campsite was on the edge of town, however in Holmfirth that often means a stiff climb. I left the main road, ascended the dramatically steep and narrow streets and gazed at the unique local architecture which is totally different to anything I'm familiar with. The town consists almost exclusively of grey stone houses with dark slate roofs. This style covers all periods, from buildings ostensibly dating back several centuries, to fresh new developments with smooth facades unblem‐ ished by time. As I climbed higher and higher, I had to dip into that legendary Hospital Portering stamina because the roads continued upwards, their gra‐ dients showing no mercy. The lanes passed between lumpy and precarious pastures of the richest green. Sheep gaped at me as if they'd never seen a human being before; rabbits bolted at the sound of my footsteps. Another distinctive difference is that the fields near Holmfirth are edged by dry stone walls; indeed some of the earliest houses I saw are also made of dry stone. These constructions are extremely durable and can last for centuries; they use no cement and are built by skillfully fitting the right shaped stones in the right places.
I hear that this is a dying trade known only to a few elderly artisans and in the future nobody will remember how to do it. It's sad to think that the gaps I saw in the walls might have to be replaced one day by the more mundane and familiar barbed wire fences. A short but dense shower fell on me; the clouds above me looked much closer than I'm familiar with; obviously be‐ cause I was climbing higher and higher. I almost tripped over one of many dead rabbits I was to come across over the course of the weekend. My camp‐ site was right on the crest of the hill next to a smelly barnyard; it looked like an ordinary field about an acre in size, no different to many of the others, and as I opened the gate I saw sheep grazing in it. I paused, wondering if I'd come to the wrong place, but there was one caravan parked up and a toilet hut, the only building; so it was indeed a campsite, albeit a very rudimentary and empty one. I pitched my tent and marveled at the view. The lines of sight were extraordinary; to the west I could easily see Manchester; indeed at night‐time it would be laid out on the horizon like an illuminated garden pond. The town of Holmfirth lay below, every house visible on the terraced streets; cars on the opposite side of the valley looked like crawling insects, dwarfed by distance. And to the east any sense of scale I felt was eliminated by the dark, gargantuan bulks of the Pennines. There were no roads or build‐ ings there, just the sheen of distant moorland stretching up to desolate and inaccessible peaks of extreme black rock. The Pennines towered over my campsite the same way the campsite towered over the valley. I had a ring‐ side seat on UFO Alley. However I had no time for skywatching; as soon as I'd got my tent up I went back down the hill into town to meet up with the other people attending the conference, in many cases these were old friends and people I've only ever associated with before online. I was delighted to meet them again, people like Peter Robbins, Larry Warren, Richard D Hall and Brigitte Barclay. There were a few new faces too whose names I knew but had never met, like Pia Knudsen and Capt. Robert Salas. We fell into the Old Bridge Hotel and beer speedily flowed our way. One man I have become very close to in my inter‐ net social circles is Tim (not his real name). It was great to meet up with him again; I've not seen him physically since last year's conference, see: http://hpanwo‐tv.blogspot.co.uk/2013/11/ufo‐truth‐magazine‐conference‐ 2013.html. Tim kindly offered to drive me back to the campsite after Friday evening's festivities had died down. I gladly accepted; although the site was well within walking distance. It is very steeply uphill, as I said, and if somebody offers to give me a lift I don't plan to try and talk them out of it. Tim needed bottom gear as we tacked up the hillside, the headlights disturbing the local wildlife. We reached the campsite and I said goodnight and thanks to Tim, and I en‐ tered the field as he turned his car round for the five minute drive back down into Holmfirth. I was walking across the grass towards my tent when I sud‐ denly heard a man shouting angrily at the top of his voice outside where Tim was. Tim drove off and the voice went silent. It was only the following morn‐ ing that I found out from Tim exactly what had happened. As he was driving away from the entrance of the campsite somebody burst out of a neighbour‐ ing barnyard and attacked him; luckily Tim was in the car and his assailant could only pound the chassis with his fist as he hurled abuse. This was a baf‐ fling and motiveless assault; Tim thinks the man was drunk. On Saturday night Tim offered again to drive me back to the campsite; I suggested he

drop me off a short distance away in case the man came back out again to harass him. Tim refused and said that he would happily take me to the same place he did last night. I accorded, because after all, what was he doing wrong? He merely parked his car for a moment to let me step out and then drove away. He has a perfect right to do that and nobody should be threat‐ ening him or otherwise trying to prevent him, least of all through violence and rudeness. As we followed our tracks back up the hill we were preparing ourselves for any potential aggravation. I recommended we grab tree branches to use as weapons, Dr Jonathan Reed style, only half‐jokingly. We laughed and quipped: "I bet he packs a hefty punch seeing as he probably has seven fingers on each hand from inbreeding!" I questioned that he might be some kind of escaped monster that the farmer had been breeding in his basement, like in some story by HP Lovecraft. As I walked past the entrance to the barnyard I was bracing myself for that thug to come out again and attack, me as well this time. Tim kept his car in gear and pointing towards the campsite gate. If the man came out again he planned to rush over and back me up. But nobody did; all was quiet in the barnyard except for a dog bark‐ ing. But for now let us return to Saturday morning.
extraterrestrial factor. There are plenty of journals that display one of these two features but very few display both. When Gary first became actively interested in UFO's he read UFO magazine which was edited by Graham Bird‐ sall. Here he is giving a lecture in Leeds in 1996; it is largely due to Birdsall's influence that Leeds is the pivot of today's UK exopolitics movement, see: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8RijlwPpGlg (the less said about this revolting obituary the better: http://www.theguardian.com/media/2004/ mar/14/pressandpublishing.uknews). It was a copious publication which ran from 1981 until 2004 and had over eleven thousand regular subscribers in forty‐four countries. After Birdsall died it quickly ground to a halt and, in Gary's view, nothing has ever replaced it. This dealt a serious blow to UFO scholarship because a regular and popular British‐based journal is an essential ingredient in serious study of the field. I recall the rapid rise and fall of UFO Data and I read a few copies myself dur‐ ing its brief incarnation. I was impressed by UFO Matrix, of which I bought a two‐year subscription, but this also folded. Therefore Gary believes that the launch of UFO Truth Magazine is highly significant because it fills a very ob‐ trusive void. As I said, Gary is good at the practicalities of organization and has thought the publication plan through carefully. He has taken the revolu‐ tionary step of not releasing a print edition at all. For a long time now all magazines have been available both in electronic form and good old fash‐ ioned paper and ink, but Truth is the first to be an e‐zine alone. This is be‐ cause electronic readers have recently become so effective and convenient that all their previous disadvantages have been negated. I don't agree there; I love the rustle of pages and the thump of paper hitting a doormat, but my motivations are probably just from me being a sentimental and stubborn traditionalist. Smart phones and tablets have improved electronic text enor‐ mously and most people I know always read that way now. What's more, releasing a print edition is prohibitively expensive and requires a far greater initial investment; the fate of Truth's predecessors gave Gary pause for thought. So with his idea developing he went out and recruited the best writ‐ ers and researchers in the field to contribute; I'm honoured that he consid‐ ered me among them, see: http://hpanwo‐voice.blogspot.co.uk/2014/07/ufo‐truth‐magazine‐issue‐ 7.html.
Gary Heseltine http://www.ufotruthmagazine.co.uk This second UFO Truth Magazine Conference was a far more ambitious project than the first one last year. Gary appears to be work‐ ing his way up the ladder bit by bit. He had booked a much bigger venue, the Holmfirth Civic Hall, and made this a two‐day event. I'm glad to say that he managed to sell all his tickets too, which is a rare thing in this busi‐ ness. Gary seems to have excellent organiza‐ tional abilities as well as a passion for the subject; that's a rare combination. He also has a flair for the dramatic, as we were to find out. Gary has come under some criticism, especially at last week's Bases event, that he only wants to promote his magazine and nothing else, and he's using these conferences as a platform to do so. Well, yes and no. Gary is focused on the magazine, but not for the magazine's sake in itself; the magazine is a means to an ends he believes in, the Disclosure... or disclosure‐ lower case d... of UFO's. An entire third of the profits from sales are ring‐fenced for in‐ vestment into UFOlogical and exopolitical causes. I dare say he takes a living wage out for himself as well, but why shouldn't he? Gary believes that the UFO community badly needs a new magazine, one that is based in evidential science and also accepts that the UFO phenomenon does contain a genuinely
Gary says that we have a major challenge on our hands because of the suc‐ cess of the truth embargo, as Stephen Bassett calls it; this has not only sup‐ pressed and distorted the information on UFO's, but has bred confusion, fear and apathy among the general population. It has indeed, see: http://hpanwo‐tv.blogspot.co.uk/2013/06/confessions‐of‐alien‐abductee‐ aftermath.html. According to Google, search terms like "UFO" and "alien" are second only to those relating to pornography... not that I know anything about that person‐ ally of course... this means that a billion people or more have at some time used the internet to look for information on UFO's. This is backed up by opin‐ ion polls in the United States, see: http://hpanwo‐voice.blogspot.co.uk/2013/06/usa‐conspiracy‐theory‐ poll.html. Yet the biggest UFO‐themed public events attract no more than a few hun‐ dred individuals. This means that the vast majority of people interested in the subject take no associated action; they don't speak out, they do no re‐ search. They are in the closet, as it were. We who have "come out" are a tiny tip of a huge iceberg. This is encouraging in one sense, as I explain in the above link, because there is an entire host of potential activists out there just waiting for a call to arms. I believe that the propaganda we see in the world today‐ the lies, the ridicule, the demonization, is intended more to keep that silent majority in their place, rather than to give oblivious loudmouths like me a hard time. So the solution is to take the step of revealing your true Page 24 Phenomena Magazine: August 2014 - Issue 64: www.phenomenamagazine.co.uk

nature to your family and friends. We could even set up support groups; "Hello everybody. My name's Ben and I'm a UFO enthusiast." As far as Gary is concerned, this is the role UFO Truth Magazine will hopefully play. We also need money. The singer Robbie Williams was at one point interested in UFO's. He'd had contact experiences in his youth and was outspoken in the media for a while; he even went to the International UFO Congress. However it seems to have just been a phase he was going through and he has since dropped off the scene. This is a shame because his own personal capital could fund the kind of projects Gary has in mind many time over; it would be small change to Robbie. Interest in UFO's and other conspiratorial subjects is very demographically homogenous; black or white, rich or poor, male or female. Therefore there must be a proportion of millionaires taking the sub‐ ject seriously; so why won't any of them offer to help financially? None of them ever have with the exception of Bob Bigelow. Basically we need more Bob Bigelows. One of the first things Gary wants to do is put a full page ad‐ vert on UFO's in The Times. This would cost £5000. If the newspaper refuses to publish it, even if we do pay up with the correct fee, then this will beg the question why. The Times will then be caught in a corner, either they publish the ad or confess that they've been "advised not to" by "somebody". So with the expenditure of the price of a second hand car, we will have made a groundbreaking move against the truth embargo, whichever way they go. Another idea Gary has is for a UFO data bank; a one‐stop shop for all the hard facts about the subject. This means that if any journalist comes knocking at the door, we can just send them to the bank. If that reporter is under a mandate to call us all "nutters!" then he'll have a much harder time of it. Another flaw that Gary has detected on the scene is ego and division. There is a lot of personal ani‐ mosity and rivalry in UFOlogy. This is a big subject, but it does need to be touched upon. A good example Gary didn’t mention, but has caused a major split, is the connection between UFO conspiracies and other kinds of conspir‐ acy theory. As regular readers will know, I take many conspiracy theories seriously that are not directly related to UFO’s; I see them as all connected at a higher level. Many people at the conference share my opinion, but not all do. There is a contingent of people in exopolitics who disagree with general con‐ spiracy theories and/or believe that the UFO issue should be kept separate from them. I was talking to a friend at the conference, a man I’m fond of and feel respect for, and the subject of the moon landings came up. I have seri‐ ous doubts that the Apollo moon landings happened the way that history tells us it did, see: http://hpanwo.blogspot.co.uk/2009/01/i‐went‐to‐godamn‐moon.html. My friend replied that he totally differed and that it was “insulting” and “anti ‐American” to suggest otherwise. I certainly would never willingly insult any‐ body, and I’m definitely not anti‐American, but if something I say based on intellectual honestly offends somebody, so be it; I won’t tell lies to avoid that. I do not judge Apollo astronauts like Dr Ed Mitchell, who is involved in the exopolitics movement, and if I ever met him I wouldn’t even bring up the subject. 9/11 is another contentious issue and after his speech at the 2011 Leeds Exopolitics Expo Bryce Zabel wrote an article entitled: UFO’s and 9/11 Truth Don’t Mix. Again, I admire Bryce a lot too, but I disagree with him to‐ tally. I do not believe the official story of 9/11 and there’s good reason to suspect that the Breakaway Civilization behind the UFO truth embargo is the same entity that carried out the 9/11 attacks. Nothing can be achieved by denying it. I know that when talking to somebody new to these subjects it’s sensible not to overload them with all this challenging information and if I were discussing UFO’s with a newcomer I would stick to that one issue and no other; but if that newcomer asks me what I think of 9/11 I will answer truthfully without hesitation. Truth is now in its second year; a new issue, number 8, is due to hit the press just a couple of weeks after the time of writing. Who knows what will happen between then and the third year, but I'm very confident that the magazine will still be running and it's going to be an exciting ride. Gary loves to give us surprises and during his speech he paid Page 25 Phenomena Magazine: August 2014 - Issue 64: www.phenomenamagazine.co.uk
homage to the man who inspired him, Graham Birdsall, and he presented a posthumous award to him, which was collected on stage by his wife Chris‐ tine. This was not the only unexpected incident he had in store for us. Mary Rodwell http://www.acern.com.au This is the second time I've seen Mary Rod‐ well in as many weeks; she was at the Bases event, see link above. Mary has become famous for her work with children and how so many of them nowadays are talking about encounters they've had with non‐ human intelligent beings and the ways this is affecting their lives. Through her work with a mutual friend of ours, Ellis Taylor‐ see links column, Mary established ACERN, the Aus‐ tralian Close Encounters Resources Network. She used to be a nurse, midwife and coun‐ sellor in Britain but when she moved to Aus‐ tralia in 1991 she found a new calling. She began to meet people who related the most extraordinary experiences: they had had encounters with intelligent creatures that were not from this world. As more and more of these people came into her life it became clear that this was something that affected many people; many more than were willing to openly admit it. It was also a global phenomenon and people from all over the world were reporting very similar experiences. Some of these people developed remarkable abilities as a result of their encounters like extrasensory perception, high intelligence, healing and being able to speak and write in unknown languages. Very young children report these encounters, sometimes almost as soon as they’re old enough to speak. They often come out with information that they couldn’t possibly know through conventional means; in fact it seems that some of the extraterrestrial beings have a mission to educate human children. One child said “I learn more on the ships than I do at school”. Adults affected come from all walks of life and do not all fall into the condescending popular char‐ acterization of “UFO nuts”. They include, among others, an Australian model and an Israeli computer engineer. Remarkably, many people who’ve had no contact with each other and live in very different cultures see the very same creatures. There’s such a long list of different beings that it's almost a full biological taxonomy. The classic “Grey” is the species that has entered popular culture, but it is by no means alone; many less well‐known ones regularly visit experiencers: Mary has gathered information on the attributes and personalities of the various creatures. There’s the “Praying Mantis” that resembles a giant version of the insect of that name. Despite it's fearsome countenance it is popular with its contac‐ tees and seems to be wise and benevolent. The same can be said of the “Lion Man”, a being that is humanoid, but is covered with golden fur and has a lion ‐like mane and a feline face. There’s the “Owl Man” that is like a Grey, but it has owl‐like features; indeed it is sometimes seen in the form of an owl when it first tries to make contact. Some beings are very humanoid like the classic “Nordics”. Images of ET’s are not confined to modern reports; they’re de‐ scribed in everything from mediaeval paintings to native African mythology and Australian Aboriginal petroglyphs. Some children report completely unique beings and give them their own nicknames like "clowny" and "the scaries". It’s obvious that something very strange but manifestly real is going on here. Mary describes this as a "trigger of consciousness", the emergence of a new kind of human, Homo noeticus‐ the conscious man. This comes at a time when the world is ruled by malevolent forces that are desperately trying to prevent this emergence from happening. It seems to me that a very subtle and silent war is going on; it also takes the form of crop circles. Crop circles are actually just one manifestation of many different kind of medium used by some intelligence out there which is creating marks on the ground. Many people know that they also use grass, sand and snow to plant shapes onto the earth, but in Australia they've been using fire. Bush fires have been

burning in specific patterns that are very similar in style to crop circles. Mary's work interests me a lot; it means that somebody "out there" is taking an interest in affairs on Earth and is bringing aid. I'm repelled by the idea that we've got to wait to be saved by divine intervention, the Messiah, or god‐like aliens coming down from the sky etc. I've always believed that we humans are masters of our own destiny and therefore are our own saviours. On the other hand, if some friendly passing hyper‐dimensional being offers to lend a hand then I'll happily swallow my pride and accept. Mary's work gives me hope, inspiration and comfort. I feel optimistic, whether I'm correct to feel that way, you decide. See here for Mary Rodwell's appearance on the HPANWO Show: http://hpanwo‐radio.blogspot.co.uk/2012/08/programme‐11‐podcast‐ mary‐rodwell.html. Alan Foster http://alanfostersky.com Alan Foster is a writer and researcher on UFO’s, crop circles and spirituality. His jour‐ ney began in 1983 and he has come to the belief that interactions with extraterrestrial life comes in three stages: contact, prepara‐ tion and awakening. He claims that we are already through the contact stage and are onto the preparation, and the chief sign of this is the emergence of the crop circle phe‐ nomenon. Contrary to popular belief, a lot of scientific research has been done on crop circles, and some has concluded positively that they are not all man‐made hoaxes de‐ spite claims to the contrary, like from Matthew Williams at Bases, see link above. The Leavengood study has shown us that the methods used by the known human hoaxers are not how many of the formations are created. They are actually created by focused energy beams into the growth nodes of the plants causing them to bend over. Autopsies of plants in crop circle lay show burning and expansion bubbles in the stalks at those growth nodes. Non‐human made crop circles also contain magnetic anomalies. Compasses go wild in them and birds, which use the Earth’s magnetism to navigate, re‐ fuse to over‐fly them. Sometimes crop circles appear in daylight, like the Stonehenge Julia Set which appeared in a thirty minute period in daytime, witnessed by two Stonehenge security guards and a pilot flying a light aircraft overhead. The pilot, Busty Taylor, went on to become a croppie himself and presented the Bases conference last weekend. A disturbing aspect to this phenomenon is that the authorities seem to be engaged in a campaign of harassment of crop circle visitors. Many people who’ve visited them for scientific data, or even just to sit and meditate in the formations, have been chased away by military helicopters. Alan spoke at some length about a series of crop formations that emerged near the Chilbolten radio telescope in Hampshire. This could be because Chilbolten was once part of the SETI network, the Search for Extra‐ terrestrial Intelligence. One image was of an alien face, another was a fasci‐ nating adaptation of the Arecibo transmission. In 1974 this coded radio mes‐ sage was broadcast at a nearby star: http://www.seti.org/seti‐institute/project/details/arecibo‐message. It contained images and information about the Earth and its inhabitants. Amazingly, the crop circle facsimile of it came with several important differ‐ ences. The human figure is replaced by a “grey”, the planets are different and so is its DNA depiction. Crop circles are usually abstract, but sometimes they are of religious symbols or recognizable images. A few can be seen as 3D images, some of which I only noticed when Alan pointed it out.
Many Skeptics ask: “Why do aliens communicate like this? Why not just speak or write in human language?” and “Why don’t they just approach our world leaders? Why bother with ordinary people”. This is a case of anthropomor‐ phizing; the Skeptics who make this point are effectively just saying: "If I flew to another planet I would not behave like this." We cannot speculate on how an extraterrestrial or other dimensional intelligence would communicate with us. Other strange things have happened that makes it clear something out there is trying to tell us something; one of the most interesting cases Alan brings up is from 1967 when a Polish merchant ship encountered an invisible craft. They detected it only when the object landed on the helicop‐ ter pad at the aft end of the vessel. The weight of the UFO made the ship angle upwards so far that its entire bow rose above the waterline. Strangely the ship suffered no structural damage; indeed the helicopter pad should have been crushed under the weight before the ship’s hull moved at all. Alan has also studied alien abduction and brought up a particularly interesting case; interesting because some third party strangers witnessed it happening. They allegedly saw the abductee being levitated through a window. The case became even more amazing when one of those witnesses was found to be Perez de Cuellar, who at the time was United Nations Secretary General. Alan is a fascinating chap to listen to because he has a scientific attitude towards UFO's and related phenomena, but also understands, like Mary Rodwell, that there is a spiritual matter at stake which we may not yet be able to compre‐ hend, but need to learn to. Peter Robbins http://www.ufoevidence.org/researchers/detail69.htm "Time to pull the pin" said my old friend Peter Robbins as he entered the auditorium to give his speech. One of the most notorious charac‐ ters in the UFO world is Nick Pope. This for‐ mer... or allegedly former... government agent was originally in charge of "Secretariat Air Staff 2A", a rather prosaic name for the UFO desk at the UK Ministry of Defence, one of the few official UFO research operations in the world since the closure of Project Blue Book in 1970. He has authored several books on UFO's and also was keen to promote the 1997 book Left at East Gate by Larry Warren and Peter, describing it as "dynamite... meticulously researched... gripping and provocative." The authors and Nick Pope became good friends and Pope assisted them with their promotional tour. This was a happy time for Larry and Peter; the book was sailing up the best‐sellers list, a copy had been sent to Tony Blair and that late, great UFO hero Admiral‐of‐the‐Fleet Lord Hill‐ Norton was making some great scenes in Parliament. So when Nick Pope published a new book on the Rendlesham Forest Incident ‐ Encounter in Rendlesham Forest‐ the Inside Story of the World's Best‐ Documented UFO Incident (Thomas Dunne Books 2014) which he co‐ authored with Jim Penniston and John Burroughs, two of the principle wit‐ nesses, Peter returned the favour. However as soon as he read it he knew something was badly wrong. His review was intended to be a short article in Phenomena magazine but it soon blossomed into an entire volume in itself, with lots of sources and footnotes which the reader can check; one of Peter's criticisms of Nick Pope's book was that it lacked such background material. Peter has published the book for free online, see: https://drive.google.com/folderview id=0ByUXMaBHOgPLUUJIQmd5V1I5dUU You can also obtain the book as a Special Report from the Phenomena magazine website at: http://www.phenomenamagazine.co.uk He called it Deliberate Deception‐ a Case of Disinformation in the UFO Page 26 Phenomena Magazine: August 2014 - Issue 64: www.phenomenamagazine.co.uk

Research Community, a descriptive title if ever there was one. I should point out that I've not yet read Nick's new book, yet I intend to and will be able to confirm or deny whether or not I agree with Peter's assessment. I will also be interviewing John Burroughs on the HPANWO Show soon and I intend to ask him about the points Peter raises. Peter read out some excerpts from his critique while on stage. He feels very annoyed that Nick's book draws heavily on Left at East Gate, but there is no acknowledgement of that fact in the text; Peter describes this as plagiarism, which it is by definition if so. Also Peter thinks Nick purposely downplays Larry Warren's role in the Rend‐ lesham Forest Incident, an attempt to write Larry out of the story by omis‐ sion. Peter specifically addresses Nick in his review and feels that although Penniston and Burroughs are officially listed as co‐authors, they are really just sleeping partners in the firm, offering only token assistance to the real mastermind behind it‐ Nick Pope.
UFO. The paper is thinned and yellowish the way old paper tends to be. It's also in an envelope which is a standard US military mail issue one, with a postmark and stamps that also match the early 1980's. Gary is going to have it forensically analyzed and if it is dated to the correct time period then this will vindicate Larry's story completely. It will also be a vital historical and evidential document because it will be literally the first written reference to the RFI, predating the Halt Memo by a full week. The moment was captured on video, see: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cI_hgO29vkY See here for Peter and Larry's appearance on the HPANWO Show: http://hpanwo‐radio.blogspot.co.uk/2013/04/programme‐41‐podcast‐ rendlesham‐forest.html Richard D Hall http://www.richplanet.net
For example he says that nobody has ever backed up Larry's claim that he was there on the night of the 28th and the airman Larry was with, SSgt. Adrian Bustinza denies it. This is not true; although Bustinza has generally kept very quiet about the RFI in recent years he did state categorically that Larry Warren was with him that night when the craft landed at Capel Green. Bustinza also made a comment that he had seen another object just like it land in Alaska some time before. There have also been a number of suicides among the men who experienced the events of Christmas 1980 and this is what motivates Larry to do what he does. This could also be caused by the "debriefing" the witnesses had to go through which included death threats, assault, being poisoned with drugs and kidnapping. What's more Peter be‐ lieves that the forest was attacked by a weather warfare weapon which de‐ stroyed most of the trees in the wood; we know this as the Great Storm of 1987, but it could have been generated using secret government technology based on Wilhelm Reich's cloudbuster. A lot of the tension that has emerged in the last few years comes from Jim Penniston's explosive new statement, on the 30th anniversary of the event, that he had telepathic communication with the UFO and that it "downloaded" some information to him in binary code. I was there when he first brought it up on stage, see: http://hpanwo‐tv.blogspot.co.uk/2010/12/rendlesham‐forest‐incident‐ 30th.html This announcement has been met with incredulity by the bulk of the UFO community. Nick does not address that adequately, in Peter's view. Nick fails to consider... or deliberately skirts round... another possibility‐ that Pennis‐ ton has been targeted by a psychological warfare operation to discredit the entire RFI. Left at East Gate is a remarkable book and since I first read it I've got to know Larry Warren personally. He's an honest and open man, loud and humorous like New Yorkers are supposed to be. He dotes on his son and feels deeply for his family, and for his brothers‐in‐arms who suffered so badly along with him due to the UFO events of 1980. He's also had other experi‐ ences of ET contact which have happened to him and his family all his life; there may be a connection there to what happened in Suffolk that night. In another of the conference's drum‐rollers, Gary announced that Larry has given him a letter that is dated the 9th of January 1981; it's the one he re‐ ports having written to his mother soon after he saw the UFO. Sceptics of Larry's testimony claim that he lied about writing the letter, but there it was. I've held it in my hand myself and read the ending where he talks about the Page 27 Phenomena Magazine: August 2014 - Issue 64: www.phenomenamagazine.co.uk
I've known Richard D Hall a long time and we've collaborated on several occasions, see links below. He's a very independent and self‐ styled researcher who runs his operation virtually single‐handed. This includes his TV series, his films, his investigations and his nationwide tours, like his recent one in Lon‐ don that I attended, see: http://hpanwo‐ voice.blogspot.co.uk/2014/08/richplanet‐ live‐in‐london.html. His research is extremely varied and covers a wide range of subjects beyond UFO's; in fact he's just completed a documentary about the disappearance of Madeleine McCann. Before that, he released what was surely his most dis‐ turbing film, UFO's and NATO‐ the Human Mutilation Cover‐Up. It's freely available online: http://www.richplanet.net/starship_main.php?ref=175&part=1 It's been known for a long time that animals have sometimes been found dead suffering from mysterious injuries that can't be explained by the usual causes of death‐ attacks by predators, disease, accidents etc. Flesh stripped off the jaw, organs surgically removed etc. Although this is often called "cattle mutilation" all kinds of species have been struck down by it, wild ani‐ mals as well as farm livestock, even marine mammals. What Richard has discovered is that it was premature of us to assume that Homo sapiens was immune. There have been instances, including two confirmed in the UK, of human bodies turning up with these kinds of injuries‐ a teenage girl and young man in the Brecon Beacons in Wales and a group of seven people in Dalby Forest, North Yorkshire. When this happens there is an even bigger attempt to cover up the details than when it happens to animals. There's even a special military unit that secures the scene of these shocking incidents and sometimes it has to deal with UFO's and aliens on the ground. Richard has managed to contact a former member of this unit via a UFOlogist in South Wales. Richard has visited the man and confirmed his identity and he was a part of this taskforce, Section Five‐Eight, a detachment of the SAS special forces regiment and the Royal Engineers. Since making the film Richard has found an independent source to confirm that this unbelievable and terrifying

phenomenon is real. Who... or what... is behind this, and why, is a big ques‐ tion with no obvious answers. The same question that was asked when ani‐ mal mutilation was first identified by Linda Moulton Howe in the 1970's. None of the theories proposed so far fit, but there is sometimes a connection between these attacks and UFO activity. I'm disappointed to report that when Richard contacted Linda Moulton Howe about his research she in‐ stantly dismissed it. She tabled all kinds of totally inadequate explanations even though these bodies had suffered the exact same kind of mutilations she herself had identified as anomalous in cows and other beasts. This is suspicious; could LMH have been turned into a "limited hangout"? I hope not, but she has reacted very unexpectedly. Like myself, Richard is interested in the behaviour of the media and has studied their underhand machinations very carefully. He was approached by Plum Pictures to take part in what they call their "documentary" about UFO conspiracies. Like myself, Richard wisely declined in no uncertain terms; see here for background from 23.50:

Unfortunately some of our peers have agreed to assist Plum Pictures; this is foolish and I'd be very surprised if it doesn't lead to disaster, like with the Off The Fence fiasco, see:

http://hpanwo‐tv.blogspot.co.uk/2013/06/confessions‐of‐alien‐abductee‐ aftermath.html Richard has developed a very dim view of Miles Johnston and explained on stage why that is. I don't agree at all and I think Richard is being unfair to Miles; Miles has done a lot of good work in raising awareness and distribut‐ ing information. The AMMACH and Bases witnesses are always eager volun‐ teers to be interviewed. Afterwards most of them remain pleased to have been involved. Many of these witnesses are close friends of mine and they feel they've achieved something and made a difference to the world by being on the sofa. In terms of their personal wellbeing they've commented to me that they find it healing and inspiring. This is not to say that Miles hasn't made a lot of mistakes; he's given a platform to some highly incredulous characters indeed over the years, but all in all I think he's genuine and has done a lot of good. That being said, Richard is correct to criticize Miles for signing up with Plum Pictures, and I do so myself in my recent interview with Miles, see: http://hpanwo‐radio.blogspot.co.uk/2014/06/programme‐92‐podcast‐ miles‐johnston.html It's an extremely ill‐advised move, especially in light of recent experience with Off The Fence, and when the programme is broadcast I think this will become very obvious. Miles was originally going to be at the UFO Truth Magazine Conference and manage the filming, but he had cancelled at the last minute meaning that the conference was not recorded. Some have speculated that this is because of Richard's presence there, but I doubt it. Miles was happy to speak at last autumn's Probe conference when none other than Joanne Summerscales was in the audience, and he did so with great dignity, see: http://hpanwo‐tv.blogspot.co.uk/2013/10/return‐to‐probe.html Richard's lecture on human mutilations gave me the chills I must admit. I think Richard is quite correct to speak out about the subject and I'd frankly be much more concerned if people were not talking about it, but I did feel a bit vulnerable when I was lying in my tent that night, up on top of a remote hill where anything could come and grab me if it wanted to. See here for Richard's interview on the HPANWO Show: http://hpanwo‐radio.blogspot.co.uk/2012/08/programme‐8‐podcast‐ exopolitics‐special.html. And my latest interview on Richplanet TV at:
He is the chief editor of Phenomena magazine and a member of MAPIT, Manchester's Association of Paranormal Investigators and Training. Steve covers all kinds of subjects as well as UFO's and told us about how many ancient UFO images there are. They appear in renaissance paintings, mediae‐ val church iconography, Egyptian hieroglyphics and even cave paintings from prehistoric times. One is forced to ask how many of the artists of those works watched 1940's science fiction movies. There is also a great deal of forensic evidence including skulls with horns and skeletons much bigger than a nor‐ mal man. Amazingly the world's earliest UFO photo was in 1870. Again, it's pretty obvious that UFO's go back much further in time than Skeptics would have you believe. It's possible that some of what we call "UFO's" are actually man made. The Nazi's were particularly advanced in this field and had a pro‐ ject codenamed "the Bell" or "The Beehive" towards the end of World War II. These involved free energy and antigravity. Ed Fouche has recently been interviewed talking about the TR3B which might have been developed from the work of the Nazi scientists and also back‐engineered extraterrestrial technology from crash‐retrievals like Roswell, see: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BJy53lx_vCI It's possible that even some aviation projects that are publicly acknowledged use this kind of technology secretly, like the B2 bomber might achieve some of its lift from electrogravitic forces. Steve's lecture was very interesting and a good introduction, I'd say, to a lot of these concepts; one to show your friends and family who might not go along with all your ideas yet. Pia Knudsen http://www.exopolitics.dk UFOlogy in Scandinavia is very old and very unique. It was the Swedish Army Air Corps who in 1931 deployed aircraft when a strange object appeared in the sky; this was the world's first recorded UFO aerial inter‐ ception. The region is also where the "ghost rocket" phenomenon took place. These date back to the 1930's and continue to be re‐ ported to this day. Unlike most UFO's these do bear a moderate resemblance to man‐ made aircraft or projectiles; they tend to be streamlined and have wings, fins and propul‐ sion nozzles and they often end their flights by dropping into lakes. Pia Knudsen is a Danish UFOlogist who is the leading Page 28 Phenomena Magazine: August 2014 - Issue 64: www.phenomenamagazine.co.uk

authority on the subject in the country and has earned an international repu‐ tation for her research. She's a personal friend and colleague of Gary He‐ seltine and writes for the magazine. She and Gary had a sighting at a lake near Bergen in Norway. In 1952 Denmark took part in Operation Mainbrace, a massive international naval exercise involving over two hundred ships. It was a vast muscle‐display for the Soviet Union in the early days of the Cold War. UFO’s have always taken an interest in human military affairs, for reasons only known to themselves, and Mainbrace was the scene of a UFO flap that covered the entire area of the exercise, from Greenland to the British Isles. Many objects were seen by Danish ships and an officer on one of them be‐ came a principle witness. Another Dane who has spoken out about his UFO experiences is the policeman Evald Maarup. In 1970 in Hadersley, Denmark he encountered a strange object in the sky and took a photograph of it. This was the first of many encounters he was to have over three years. He de‐ scribes the object as being ten metres in diameter and with a hole at the bottom from which shone a beam of light. His fellow police officers laughed at him and suggested he see a psychiatrist. Pia has had experience with all the various UFO organizations in Denmark and when she described them I was surprised how similar they sounded to the various organizations we see in the UK. She works directly for Copenhagen UFO Research and Exopolitics Denmark, but there is also an outfit called SUFOI‐ Skandinavisk (Scandinavian) UFO Information, see: http://www.sufoi.dk Pia is highly suspicious of this group because although it formally declares that it still takes the extraterrestrial hypothesis seriously and pays the odd bit of lip‐service to those who genuinely do all the time, it is in practice mostly a pack of Skeptic debunkers. So CUFOR and Exopolitics Denmark appear to be the equivalent of Exopolitics Great Britain and Gary’s PRUFOS Police Data‐ base, SUFOI sounds to me very similar in form to BUFORA, see here for my review of their 2012 conference: http://hpanwo.blogspot.co.uk/2012/09/bufora‐conference‐2012.html Interestingly the year before, BUFORA cancelled a lecture by Richard D Hall at their 2011 conference. Nevertheless UFO research in Denmark is going full speed ahead, there’s a conference there this year on crop circles with the Norwegian film maker Terje Toftenes. I wish Pia all the best with it. Roberto Pinotti http://www.newsufo.com/progettoblog The next of the conference’s foreign speakers came all the way from Italy. Roberto Pinotti has been studying UFO’s since long before most of the conference’s delegates were born. He can speak good English, but he has a strong accent and I had to concentrate hard to understand him, and I’m glad I did. He helped organize a very successful UFO con‐ ference in 2010 in San Marino, as I read in Flying Saucer Review. He has travelled the world working alongside J Allen Hynek and John Mack. In Roswell he interviewed the witnesses Lt. Walter Haut and Glenn Dennis; he also knew the late Col. Philip Corso, a well‐known spokesman on the sub‐ ject. I’ve read Corso’s book and don’t quite know what to make of his story. Al‐ though he is highly thought of in most of the UFO community, also he is a former intelligence officer and Pentagon official therefore a high caliber wit‐ ness, I can’t help finding some of his testimony dubious, see: Page 29 Phenomena Magazine: August 2014 - Issue 64: www.phenomenamagazine.co.uk
http://hpanwo.blogspot.co.uk/2009/03/day‐after‐roswell‐by‐col‐philip‐j‐ corso.html Roberto told us that he “infiltrated” the scientific community, no mean feat that. He concentrated on SETI‐the Search for Extra‐Terrestrial Intelligence. This is a project intended to detect radio signals from intelligent beings out in the deep cosmos; it was passionately endorsed by Carl Sagan and he wrote a novel about it which was turned into a film‐ Contact. Roberto tried to ar‐ range an affiliation between SETI and UFO groups, which seems bizarre. SETI proponents are totally Skeptical of UFO’s for obvious reasons; it makes their efforts somewhat superfluous. Roberto also defied Cold War allegiance by forging links with UFOlogists in the Soviet Union; that area has the richest and most promising UFO data in the world. There was the Tunguska event of 1908 and the famous sighting in Voronezh in 1989. Roberto’s journal No‐ tiziaro UFO published articles that were also put out in the famous Russian broadsheet, Pravda. Roberto also spoke about a wave of UFO sightings in 1954; these included the incredible close encounter over Florence at the packed football ground‐ Stadio Artemio Franchi in which a group of objects flew low over a Fiorentina match, see here for more details: http://hpanwo‐voice.blogspot.co.uk/2013/01/football‐ufo‐in‐florence.html UFOlogy in Italy has a long history, in fact the dictator Benito Mussolini was obsessed by the subject and ordered an official government investigation in 1933, a full fourteen years before Project Sign. Il Duce’s interest was sparked off by a wave of sightings of black triangles, a form of UFO still widely re‐ ported today. Another case in Italy I’m interested in is the creature encoun‐ tered by Filiberto Caponi; Timothy Good investigated this personally in his book Unearthly Disclosures. See here for more detail: http://www.filibertocaponi.it/index.php?lang=it I asked Roberto about it and he laughed. “That one is nothing to do with UFO’s he said. It’s cryptozoology!” Technically he is correct. There’s nothing connecting the being Caponi claims to have encountered with ET, but the features of the entity do resemble those reported by witnesses of beings which do come from close encounters of the third kind, so is Roberto being a bit hasty? It was good to meet Roberto and his wife; it was a very interesting lecture. Capt. Robert Salas http://www.citizenhearing.org/witnesses_robert_s.html Stephen Hawking once commented on UFO’s; through his electronic voice box he declared that, seeing as they only appear to “cranks and weirdoes” he was very sceptical of their existence. However this next witness is a member of a profession who, by its very na‐ ture, has had his psychiatric health more care‐ fully monitored and screened than anybody else in the world. The job Capt. Robert Salas USAF, ret. used to do was man the launch control station for intercontinental nuclear missiles. In the event of all out nuclear war it was his finger that was “on the button”, and he who would send the missiles on their way. If at any time he launched his missiles without authorization, because he lost his mind, or by mistake, then the country targeted would most likely shoot back before asking questions and this could result in an all‐out exchange which would destroy the world forever. Who would let a “crank” or “weirdo” do a job like that? Yet Capt. Salas did have an encounter with a UFO and he is speaking openly about it today. It was one morning in 1967 and he was on duty in the launch facility. This is in an underground bunker, or “capsule”, in a rural area of Montana USA, a long way from his headquarters at Malmstrom Air Force Base; nuclear

facilities are always spread out over a wide area in remote locations so that they can’t all be targeted by enemy fire. He was in the bunker monitoring the missiles, ready as always in case the order came through to launch, when he received a phone call from the security police outside. There was a strange light flying around beyond the compound. Half an hour later there was a large glowing red object hovering right outside the gates. At the same time an alarm went off on the control panel. All the missiles began to shut down. Pretty soon all the silos were in a no‐go situation. It’s reasonable to presume that the presence of the UFO’s disabled the missiles. There were several other similar incidents at other nuclear bases. As Pia Kundsen also revealed, UFO’s seem to be fixated on our military activity, especially nuclear weapons. I myself took a photo of a UFO close to a nuclear weapons facility, see: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s2gBQVSgfvg The UFO’s clearly have the ability to interfere with the electronics of nuclear missiles. Does this mean if it ever came to a war they’d step in and put a stop to it; don’t know, but I hope so. However at the time Capt. Salas had his en‐ counter America was not at war and his team were on routine alert. Why did the UFO’s choose that time and place to fiddle? Only they know. Since then Capt. Salas has appeared at the Citizen Hearing and studied man more cases of UFO’s at nuclear sites, in Israel, Pakistan, Russia and many other places. There were events in Vietnam too. He refers to what he calls “The Secret Group” people who know some of the facts about UFO’s which they’re not willing to reveal to the rest of us; this sounds like the same people Richard Dolan calls “the Breakaway Civilization”. Capt. Salas said that Wilbert Smith, a Canadian engineer, knows a lot more as well, see here for more details: http://hpanwo.blogspot.co.uk/2011/11/who‐is‐wilbert‐smith.html Capt. Salas has had many contact experiences of his own, which might be an answer to why the UFO’s buzzed his team that day in 1967. He’s a staunch advocate for Disclosure and it was interesting to hear his speech. I felt quite drained of energy as the conference drew to a close. I did also after Bases last weekend; it’s strange how just sitting there listening can take it out of you. We headed off to the Old Bridge for a social gathering and I had a “dirty burger” which was very nice. I had a lovely evening chatting to old friends and then it was time for bed. Some people left on the Sunday eve‐ ning, but this was out of the question for me; I decided to stay overnight and travel home on Monday. The wind had strengthened during the day and the walls of my tent were battered continuously; it felt like somebody was punching them over and over. It rained very hard as well. However the fabric and poles of the tent held firm; not bad seeing as the tent is over fifteen years old. I bought it in 1998 for a trip to Ireland and it’s still in good shape. I couldn’t help feeling slightly uneasy because of what Richard D Hall talked about. The unfortunate victims of human mutilations are often people alone in remote areas like the Brecon Beacons and Dalby Forest. The campsite I was in was empty, my tent was the only one and there were no buildings as I said; I was several miles from Holmfirth on the isolated crest of a hill hun‐ dreds of feet above the populated valley. It was dark, cloudy and windy out there. I was intensely aware of my vulnerability. Was this the last anybody would hear of me? I’d be listed as missing while Section Five‐Eight’s helicop‐ ter flew in to pick up my remains. Nevertheless I eventually drifted off to sleep. When I woke up it was light and the wind and rain had stopped. I breathed an only just slightly tongue‐in‐cheek sigh of relief and crawled out onto the waterlogged ground to strike the tent and pack everything into my rucksack. I then realized that I hadn’t paid the lady who runs the campsite. When I first booked online I couldn’t pay right then because I’m kind of “between bank accounts” right now… if you know what I mean. I phoned up the lady and explained and she said that was fine; all I had to do was give her the fee in cash when I arrived. However, as I explained, there was no management accommodation at the site and her personal address was in another town a
few miles away. I had not seen her all weekend; nevertheless I was out all day from early till late and this might be why. So I had no choice but to head for a post office and send her the money via a postal order. When I got home and fired up my PC I had an email from her entitled Thanks for Nothing! It went on to say: Hi Ben. I noticed you’ve just packed up and left without pay‐ ing. Here I am trying to run an honest business and people can’t be honest with me. I should have known better than to trust people. I never will again! It was signed: a very upset campsite owner. I’ve noticed that trust is gener‐ ally regarded as a rather quaint and naïve notion in the modern world and those who succumb to it are suffering from childishness and weakness; this is deliberate social conditioning I think, see: http://hpanwo‐voice.blogspot.co.uk/2014/02/eastenders‐murder.html Larry Warren This Years UFO Truth Magazine Conference was co‐hosted by Larry Warren, the most significant eyewitness to the events that took place at RAF Bentwaters, Suffolk during De‐ cember 1980. He was the principle whiste‐ blower who blew the lid off the whole thing. Larry assisted in presenting the lecturers and also informed the audience that he had brought his son along with him. Larry took some time to show the audience some of his artistic paintings which he had painted after having his experience. An artistic flair so often discovered in those eye witnesses and experi‐ encers of the UFO phenomena. Larry was also introduced to Peter Robbins lecture where Larry showed the audience one of the most recently discov‐ ered and significant photographs taken the day prior to the incident at RAF Bentwaters. The photo depicts a A10 Tankbuster aircraft coming in to land at RAF Bentwaters. But it is what else is caught on film that is important. In the distance you can see two unknown objects, slightly higher in altitude. After some enhancements carried out by well known Bruce Macabee you could clearly see that the larger of the two unknown objects was an identical shape to the UFO drawings and descriptions Larry had gave after the incident. Some smoking gun evidence, even if its 24 years later. Amazing… The photo‐ graph and enhancements can be found in Peter Robbins new book, Deliber‐ ate Deception: A Case for Disinformation in the UFO Research Community. Even somebody at the conference suggested that I do a runner and count myself lucky that there is still “one born every minute” and I’d quite rightly squeezed thirty quid out of one. If I had decided not to pay her it would have been easy. I didn’t give my home address or surname when I booked over the phone. No doubt there are many people who would hold her to blame for her gullibility had I done so. She apologized after I emailed her to explain. Presumably the postal order has arrived by now. I’m glad I didn’t cheat that lady, and that I did cheat the social manipulators. The second UFO Truth Magazine Conference was a glorious success and I’m very grateful to Gary Heseltine and his family who took part; also to all the speakers and assis‐ tants. I talked to the other delegates and I didn’t come across a single one who had any complaints. I had a great time and can’t wait for next years which will hopefully be even bigger and better… A final note: Stephen Mera and Jackie Heighway from Phenomena Magazine had brought along Peter Broughan as a guest. Peter is an international movie producer and best known for the movie Rob Roy. AMAZING & EXTRAORDINARY FACTS: GHOSTS The author of this book is a journalist who has written other books under the general heading of ‘Amazing and Extraordinary Facts’ this being the latest. The book is well written and con‐ tains a good many representative examples of hauntings, including everything from houses, castles, hotels, theatres and transport to war zones. Many of these scenes of carnage have a deservedly haunted reputation. Of particular note is the reference to the ‘ghouls of Corregidor’ (seen in the jungles of the Philippines during the Second World War). In fact the author has succeeded in producing quite a few hauntings that normally remain unnoticed on the sidelines. Three examples of these concern the bustling hub of London’s Heathrow Airport, one reput‐ edly involves the ghost of the notorious highwayman Dick Turpin while another is a VIP lounge haunted by a spirit wearing a grey suit; the last of the trilogy is the phantom said to manifest on Runway 1. However many of the other cases mentioned (Borley Rectory, Amityville, Avebury, Versailles and the Mary Celeste etc) are classics of their kind and have been recounted almost ad Title: Amazing & Extraordi‐ nauseum elsewhere, this is a pity and in that respect makes the book of limited value to any‐ nary Facts: Ghosts one other than someone unfamiliar with the subject. MAGIC IN CHRISTIANITY: FROM JESUS TO THE GNOSTICS There have been several theories regarding the astonishing abilities displayed by Jesus Christ, some of the theories are based around the possibility that Christ, rather than being the son of God i.e. a deity, was in fact either a sorcerer or shaman. This book, which also covers the more obviously mystical and magical dualist belief system of the Gnostics, sets out to demonstrate that this indeed was the case and Jesus was indeed a fully fledged magician. However this work is no lightweight confection, this is a schol‐ arly, serious and superbly referenced work that meticulously lists its sources. Thereby lies a problem with it, because in addition to the English text, in order to make direct compari‐ sons there are the original words in both Hebrew and Greek; this is fine if you can understand these languages, but for anyone (like your reviewer) who does not it is extremely off‐putting and makes it slightly annoying to read. The book itself is a nicely produced and quite weighty tome at over 450 pages and all of them packed with information relating the biblical mentions of the terms used to describe Jesus ranging from a ‘wise man’ to ‘magician’. In fact the book shows that the bible in general (which, in common with the Talmud and the Quran, has been regarded as a grimoire, or book of spells) is a work literally overflowing with magical terminology and supernatural creatures, especially angels and demons all of whom could be controlled to some degree using words of power by, not only Jesus, but certain other prophets. Overall the book does what it sets out to do, although there is no doubt that more than a few feathers will be ruffled in the process, especially in the fundamentalist Christian community. It’s just a pity that it is not more a bit more readily accessible to the novice or casual reader who just wants to learn a bit more about the ever‐mysterious and enigmatic being upon whom a great religion was founded. So, was Jesus a magician? Well, we have to keep in mind that the time of Christ was replete with exorcists, (Jesus was one) and mystics plus gods and demons of various kinds and we should keep in mind that it has been suggested that in order to make sure He was crucified, the Jewish council, the Sanhedrin, ac‐ cused Him of being a ‘malificus’ (a term that appears in this book in relation to sorcerers and magicians), to ensure this happened because the Romans crucified them as a matter of course. Although this matter will continue to be hotly debated, the book certainly does cast some light on an aspect of the Christian faith that seldom attract any attention, well worth a read for the serious minded truth seeker..

CURIOUS CREATURES OF NEW ENGLAND For every Bigfoot, Nessie, or Yeti there is a host of other, far‐less familiar mystery creatures on record— elusive beasts who are forgotten today or who fail to gain widespread attention. New England alone has almost fifty, as we discover in the highly entertaining new book, Curious Creatures of New England. This book, by Christopher Forest, an author with a number of paranormal titles to his name, aims to redress this balance by introducing, or reintroducing, a diverse selection of mystery creatures that have hitherto slipped through the cracks of cryptozoological lore. The entries include classic cases ranging from Champ, a kissing‐cousin of the Loch Ness Monster said to lurk in the cold waters of Lake Champlain, to Springhill Jack, who was said to have terrified Cape Cod residents between the years 1935 and 1942, and most recently in 2005. Every region in North America seems to have its own local variety of Bigfoot, and New England is no different. Indeed, it has several, including one called Slipperyskin (or Goonyak, Wejuk, or ‘Wetskin’), who has been evading traps and hunters sent to catch him—thus the name—in Vermont since the 18th century. Forest highlights a number of creatures native to other exotic regions that, stories insist, have been encountered within New England. The mystery here isn’t whether these creatures exist, but how they came to be in the north‐eastern United States and whether they some‐ how endured until today. We meet, for example, the Durham Gorilla, almost certainly an escaped chim‐ panzee or gorilla that terrified the tranquil town of Durham in 1973. Half a century earlier, a lizard‐like creature dubbed the Ware Swamp Monster captured the imagination of people in Massachusetts. Most are confident it was an alligator…but what not everyone agrees on is whether it was ever killed. Straddling the fence between the plausible and the unlikely are a number of creatures. A case can be made that the monster lurking in the depths of Lake Pohengamook is a prehis‐ toric plesiosaur or perhaps a sturgeon grown to monstrous proportions. ‘Ponik’, as the beast is known, has been reportedly seen as many as 1,000 times since the 1870s. And yet, no solid evidence has ever been found to prove its existence. The same could be said of Thunderbirds in native lore. Last seen in Title: Curious Creatures of New England in the 1500s, it might be an as‐yet‐undiscovered species of bird or even a pterodactyl…or it could merely be a colorful piece of folklore. And then there are the downright strange and horrifying. New England According to urban legend, in 1951 a boy named Sam disappeared during Halloween, swallowed up by Author: Christopher Forest the green mountains of Vermont. A frantic search turned up no sign of the boy. Most thought he was Publisher: Schiffer Publishing dead, killed by wild animals or falling victim to the elements. Some believe, however, that he survived, somehow mingling with boars to form human‐like pig people roaming the rural back roads of the state. ISBN‐13: 9780764344664 It sounds outlandish, but some people swear to have had terrifying run‐ins with just such a creature. Price: $19.99 Most entries in the book range around three or four pages, so there’s not as much depth in these won‐ derfully colorful stories as one might enjoy. Similarly, illustrations are virtually non‐existent. Nonethe‐ Review submitted by less, this book must stand as an essential primer on the subject of New England’s cryptids. False Memory and the Akashic Record By Dan Green
Throughout my personal voyage riding the rollercoaster of life, contemplating many a mystery and encountering many an incident of the ‘impossible’, I have been fortunate always to have a learned Tibetan lama nearby and when all has been said and done they have always gently reminded me that ‘There is only Mind’. This is a wonderfully sagacious and yet simple sweeping statement that takes the edge off many a paranormal distraction amidst the ‘special effects’ of psychic phenomena and the paranormal, but not so the current tag ‘quantum entanglement’, as it is that ancient Buddhist wisdom that now meets comfortably with this contemporary quantum physics discovery. One could forgive the humble saffron robed lama of thousands of years ago if they were to hop aboard a time machine and visit today to mutter,’ Told you so’. (Although I doubt their muted ego would allow them to take a bow, and there would be no need to time travel as I’m sure they would also remind me,’ There is only the Now’!) False Memory and the Akashic Record By Dan Green
To talk about this ‘Mind’ is not so simple. Where exactly is it? Here? There? Everywhere? Is this why the bible said God both saw and heard every‐ thing? Is it the Akashic record of the mystics, the memory bank of planet earth that is somewhere, as the Sanskrit word ‘akasha’ implies in the sky, space or Aether? Most of us have heard of the argument of how we dream at night and return to reality during the day, but what if it is the other way around – our dream world is the true reality and our waking consciousness the dream? My lama friends have a habit of impressing on me, lest I forget, that this life is a dream. Is it also a dream within a dream, the waking consciousness a dream and the time we spend sleeping yet an‐ other level? All this has to do with the omnipres‐ ence of Mind. Anyone who has decided to set about trying to meditate will invariably have experienced the initial interference Tibetans call the ‘monkey mind’…trivial, irritating, challenging, incessant…all types of thoughts invade our search for a blank sheet piece of mind and calm, often putting new‐ comers off in the first instance. If we listen to these gatecrashers we reinforce their presence and will never empty our head! Instead, we are trained to ignore them and let them go. Pay them attention and we assert their unwelcome stay. So where do thoughts come from? Does the Univer‐ sal One mind have its own ‘chattering monkeys’ too? Now there’s a thought and here are some others. During the sixties and seventies it was easy to spook yourself big time by digesting the content of three excellent books, ‘Passport to Magonia’, ‘Operation Trojan Horse’ and ‘The invisible Col‐ lege’ all very persuasive, innovative, informative and spooky. In short the mystery of the Ufo and all related paranormal occurrences were ex‐ plained in a simple fashion. ‘Passport to Magonia’ – now billed as an underground classic – came from the mind of French physicist Jacques Valle in 1969, his argument being that all manner of enti‐ ties seen and experienced by humans had been seen throughout history and were nothing new, furthermore did they have a separate existence or where we, the human race, being subject to some type of control mechanism, these otherworldly folk always making sure we experienced how they always possess a technology just beyond the soci‐ ety currently witnessing their presence. American journalist and author John Keel’s ‘Operation Trojan Horse’, published the following year and now subtitled ‘The classic breakthrough in Ufo’s,’ told the story of an invisible world that both surrounds, merges with and engulf us, ‘reality itself is distorted by strange forces which can seemingly manipulate space‐time’. UFO’s, we learn, do not emanate from elsewhere in the Universe, they are right here as is all High Strangeness emanating from this not‐so hidden landscape or realm. Vallee popped back in 1977 with his ‘Invisible College’ to tell us UFO’s may not
be physical aliens but defy classification as pure psychological anomalies, as a phenomena with some kind of control system on human con‐ sciousness. At this point, I would personally ask, if so, then for what purpose? We are left to await and see. Certainly both Vallee and Keel have suggested that the answer to the tantalising mysteries per‐ taining to otherworldly encounters is far closer to home as once thought, and it is – look no further away than our own brain whereupon our thoughts filter through either right or left hemi‐ spheres to create our own individual reality. I explained my own take on all this in my 2012 World Mysteries Blog ‘Do we own our own brains?’ (Answer – No). Buddhism teaches us that ‘We are not our own thoughts ’‐ reinforced by our own ego, they are merely distraction from ultimate Reality. The reason why I decided to submit this blog was not to remind us of the work of the above au‐ thors or even to brush up on Buddhism, but to suggest a possible solution to a specific question. Why have psychic accounts submitted to us of the earth’s remote history, for example concern‐ ing Atlantis and or Lemuria, all disagree on key events and dates? Why is it we have been told so many numerous origins of the human race from alien visitations only to hear that they differ in account and purpose? As a researcher whose case history took me from the mystery of Rennes‐le‐Chateau in 1985 to intense scrutiny of sacred geometry, Freema‐ sonry, alleged secret societies, Knights Templar, Jungian psychology, the Holy Grail, and the mys‐ terious biblical figure handed down to us as Mary Magdalene, I have had to ponder over exactly why so many researchers, many very good ones too, who have finalised their own deductions
arrive at a different conclusion, especially those who claim to have been assisted along the way by, and dependant on, their own spirit guides or angelic sources. Surely, and logically, if we are all pursuing the same mystery to solve, and assisting by the same one Source, we should all arrive at the same conclusion? But not so. I call this epi‐ sode in my own work, ‘The Many Mary Magda‐ lene’s’. With so many versions of her about she could be called Myriad Magdalene! When misinformation and misattribution of origi‐ nal sourced information interfere with formula‐ tion of a new memory, the consequence is to make the recalling of an event mistaken or false in entirety. Some years ago the favoured theory concerning MM was her continuing holy blood‐ line. I have dismissed this with my own conclusion finding that she was murdered before giving child‐ birth. I also have had contact with three different individuals who all claim contact with MM herself and yet the information disseminated from what should be the one Mary all appears to be at odds with each recipient. Dr. Manjir Samantha‐ Laughton, one of three female authors friends claiming contact with MM and with whom I share a difference of opinion with them all, says she has been experiencing visions of her over the last ten years. And then there are the physical reincarnations of Mary. Some of the many are 35 year old Mary Suzanne Luck who, with a stroke of luck found her ‘Jesus’ (51 year old John Miller) to have followers at their church in a rural area of Queensland, Australia. There is ‘Maitreya’ Miranda, more cor‐ rectly 49 year old Linda Weisz, from Leeds and living in Glastonbury who, perhaps not so wisely, goes to great lengths to tell us how all other claimants are wrong as she alone is Magdalene, and I have even been contacted by a young fe‐ male yet again in Australia who believes herself to be the Magdalene and is currently on the run – and expecting me to do something about it! My friend Margaret Starbird, author of many books on Mary Magdalene, has been contacted frequently by different females who insist they are the figure. When I visited Rennes‐le‐Chateau in 1985, authoress Elizabeth Van Buren told me, ‘There are 13 Mary Magdalene’s up there in the village.’ What can we say is an explanation for all these claims? Psychics say that some channellers are influenced by ‘malevolent forces’. From Ma‐ gonia? From the Invisible College? Some say indi‐ viduals may succumb to hypnagogic images of pure fantasy born out of their own mythic crea‐ tion and imagination. Another possibility is that the psyche becomes flooded with images and synchronicities on a personal archetypical journey with the personality identifying too strongly with the archetypes. Now we must return to Mind. I think it is safe to say that all of us reading this blog knows what it is like to have changed our mind about something. False Memory and the Akashic Record By Dan Green
What is a great idea in the morning, upon reflec‐ tion is not so great at all by the afternoon. How many times in a day do we change our mind? Is it really ‘us’ who thinks we have made the decision or it our Unconscious Mind? Dream analysts inter‐ pret symbology in our dreams, and a flip through a selection of a few dictionaries will show that not every analyst agrees with one another on the exactitude of some symbolism. If our waking con‐ sciousness is also a dream then perhaps all events in it are equally open to a variant in interpretation from person to person, quantifying what physics tells us, that we indeed do make our own individ‐ ual reality.
He added; ‘Although this is common knowledge within psychology and widely accepted by any‐ one who has studied the literature, it is not widely known about in society more generally.’ That same year, by conditioning a network of neurons to respond to light enforcing recall of an unpleasant environment, scientists succeeded in planting false memories into mice, making them wrongly associate a benign environment with a previous unpleasant experience from different surroundings, claiming that one day it would help us understand why false memories occur in hu‐ mans.
The famous 1616 quote, concept and proverb, that it is a woman’s prerogative to change her mind, certainly takes on a new perspective when we learn that the origin of the word ‘mind’ comes from Old English ‘Gemynd’ meaning memory, thought. May I suggest we read that as Ge‐Mynd, to become ‘Ge‐Mind’, with ‘Ge’ being the Greek mythological goddess interchangeable with Gaia as the personification of the earth Herself. In‐ deed, this appears confirmation that the mystery of Mind belongs to our female Mother Earth. We can even say that the Akashic record, that com‐ pendium of all mystical knowledge encoded in a
In common with mice, human memory is stored within collections of cells and when events are recalled we reconstruct parts of these cells in the same way that we reassemble small pieces of a jigsaw. Tellingly, how often have we heard re‐ searchers into the paranormal say that every breakthrough is like another piece of the jigsaw to add, helping along the effort to make up the full picture? Dr. Xu Liu at the Massachusetts Insti‐ tute of Technology quotes; ‘Our memory changes every single time it is being recorded. That is why we can incorporate new information into old memories and this is how a false memory can form.’ As we have the introduction of FMS into our psychology, on the basis of the hermetic maxim ‘As above so below’, then this facet of Mind must also exist in the bigger picture, as a function and component part of Mind itself. Perhaps now we have an explanation for how we have inherited so many recounts of our history that have discrepancies with each other, instead of one solid basis. Akin the same mechanism that in our own brain allows us to change our mind, the planet too is at an even greater liberty to change hers, and , of course, is not bound by a time‐space that we are, as she is timeless – that eternal ‘Now’, as expounded in Buddhism.
non‐physical plane of existence and responsible for recording all events in history, must allow for containing some faults and inaccurate occult his‐ tory and recollection brought about by a fleeting and occasional planetary false memory, being a natural part of its Whole.
If we can interpret the paranormal landscape of Keel and Vallee to be viewed as the Mind of this planet, as in the Gaia Hypothesis, that seeps its ever changing thoughts down to, and through us, then I would like you to consider one overlooked and truly fascinating facet of Mind. It is that of ‘False Memory Syndrome’, quite a recent discov‐ ery in our own understanding of psychology and psychiatry, which highlights exactly how memory is prone to fallacy.
The term describes the condition how both a person’s identity and relationships are affected by factually incorrect memories which they believe to be true. Christopher French, at the Goldsmith University in London, said in 2013 that there is still a lack of awareness of how unreliable mem‐ ory is, and pointed out how this has impacted on cases within the legal system.
Page 37 Phenomena Magazine: August 2014 - Issue 64: www.phenomenamagazine.co.uk
As we saw earlier, with the propensity of numer‐ ous Mary Magdalene’s about all at once, both in the physical and allegedly channelled from her in the spirit realm, amidst all else a false memory of accounts exists in the mix, the original source misinforming and misattributing, and we can un‐ derstand why so many seekers are arriving with their differing outcome. This recently discovered phenomena within psychology now being consid‐ ered, it would be foolish not for it to be inte‐ grated and accepted into Vallee and Keel’s de‐ scription of a ‘manipulative and controlling other‐ worldly mechanism’, as part of planetary Mind...

What was this bright circle of lights over Mother claims she shouldn’t pay bedroom tax Houston? Bright, oval UFO photographed hovering because a ghost occupies her spare room. above city's stormy skies A mother has come up with an interesting reason for not pay‐ ing the bedroom tax – claiming a ghost is living in her spare room so it is actually occupied. Lorna McDonald, 46, from Liv‐ erpool claims an evil spirit who has terrorised her home for months forced her daughter to move out in fear, and took up residency in her empty room. She even called in priests to exorcise the ghost, which she says has assaulted her and left bruises on her body. Mrs. McDonald now lives alone (or does she?) and, being in arrears, cannot afford the bedroom tax for the two‐bedroom property. Speaking to the Liverpool Echo, Mrs McDonald said she didn’t believe in ghosts before her ordeal begun. She said: ‘When the priest told me it was like all my fears had gone away, be‐ cause I knew it was really happening.’ Due to her being behind on her payments, she is un‐ able to leave the house.
Could a UFO have visited Texas this week? Several people have taken it to Twitter to post pictures showing a strange object float‐ ing through the Houston clouds during a storm last Monday. Some of the pictures show a bright oval object hovering. An unrelated picture shows a similar object through clouds. There are others, some showing what appears to be lights underneath the 'thing.'
Despite Mrs McDonald’s claims, government rules on what constitutes as ‘under‐occupancy’ for bedrooms does not include paranormal house guests, meaning she is still liable to pay the charge. Introduced by the Welfare Reform Act 2012, the controversial bedroom tax means that households with one spare bedroom lose 14 per cent of their housing benefit.
'Underwear‐stealing ghosts made my life hell': Hull woman forced to move seven times. By Faye Preston "Terrified" Hull woman Pauline Hickson says she was forced to moved seven times by ghosts that stole her bras – and even used the shower. Faye Preston reports. When her un‐ derwear started going missing, little did she know it would signal the start of two years of hell. Because what could have been dismissed 'I think the trick in UFO's is figuring out what else they could be,' Dr. Carolyn Sumners, vice president for Astronomy at the Houston as a slight annoyance, was actually the work of Museum of Natural Science, told KPRC. 'It's easy to say that could forces beyond this world and one of many be the aliens,' she added. Sumners said that the stormy weather paranormal pranks that would ruin Pauline in Houston on Monday could be an explanation… Hickson's life. The 58‐year‐old says she was forced to move home seven times in two years because she has been followed around by two Wait… is that a UFO? 'Unidentified object spotted ghosts, who would steal her bras, take her in Darwin' during Channel Nine news broadcast. jewellery and even use the shower. But now, after a so‐called "hypno‐exorcism'"– a little‐known ghost busting technique – she says she is free of the mischievous spirits and finally living her life. "I thought I was going crazy," said Pauline, of Es‐ sex Street, west Hull. "I didn't know why it was happening to me, it was like living through hell and I had no one to turn to." The spooky happenings started two years ago, after she moved into a bungalow in Endike Lane, north Hull. Within a few weeks of living there, Pauline felt a presence she could not explain and strange things would happen while she was out of the house. Pictures started slipping off the walls, the shower room was being used and there were scratches left up and down the doors. She would come in from a day out and be greeted by the mess left behind by the ghosts, who she says would also rifle through her belongings, send the temperature either soaring or plummeting in her home and even leave her a cup and spoon out ready for a hot drink. "I thought my family were doing it to me. I didn't believe anyone and I started to lose people from my life. I would spend all day just wandering around the streets, trying to stay out of the house." It appeared to be a harmless spec on the camera lens as news anchor Jonathan Uptin read the evening bulletin on Thursday. But to some, it was an indicator of something far more sinister. As the Channel Nine anchor began to read his regular broadcast, a disk shaped, grey, unidentified object appeared above his left shoulder on the backdrop. The object instantly sparked rumours that the broadcast had captured footage of a UFO sighting. Despite the spec disappearing after a few moments. Mr Uptin told NT News he feared for his safety. 'I just hope it doesn't return tonight and I'm abducted,' he said. With his back turned to the scene, Mr Uptin admitted he hadn't originally noticed the dark shape.

She moved into her current home in Essex Street but when things started going awry again, she sought help from medium Anita Gordon, who led her to Hull's well‐known ghostbuster Steve Kneeshaw. He put her under hypnosis, which he combined with an exorcism, and the results were instant. He reported feel‐ ing a "blast of cold air" and then saw an old, large man and a 14‐year‐old boy, fly past him. Since then, Pauline has not experienced a hint of paranormal activity in her home. She suspects the ghosts are associ‐ ated with an old dressing table she bought before she moved into the bungalow, in which she found a ruby wedding anniversary card and other personal items. Now she feels she has had a spiritual awakening and is looking to move out of Hull and start a ghost‐free life. She said: "If Steve hadn't come along, I would have been gone. It was taking my soul and spirit away. It was like I was dead inside, but now, my eyes are sparkling, my spirit is back, I look around and all I see is colour."
'Alien Saucer Craft' Spotted On Back Of Truck Bigfoot sighting on Cannock Chase. in Cornwall?
By Sunday Mercury. AFTER recent events worldwide regarding Bigfoot, interest in Cannock's very own alleged sasquatch has heightened, www.sundaymercury.net was approached by a Cannock resident who claims to have had a very strange encounter over in the Staffordshire forest... we haven't published their name at their request. "Last year around June time, me and two other friends were supposed to go to a 24‐hour basketball event for charity. Us being lads we decided to skive and go and sit down the lane in my car, and do what typical teenage lads do. "Anyway, so me and two others were parked up in a little pull‐in, down a lane in Gentleshaw not too far from Burntwood, Cannock. We were parked in this pull‐in facing the road, with trees either side of us, and a gated‐field behind. It was around two o'clock in the morning and we had the interior light on in the car, when my friend in the front passenger seat said he could see something moving outside, on the right side of the car. "We turned off the interior light to get a better look and could definitely see something moving in the trees in the distance. Our first thoughts were a person or an animal, all we could see was something large moving around. This thing must have been about 10‐15m away. (I didn't exactly have time to measure!) I turned the car headlights and hazard lights on, to see if I could see anymore. This thing was the shape of a human, but stood about 7‐8ft, it was hard to tell with it being dark and such a distance away. "At first sight it was crouching, not completely to the floor, but approx half way and facing di‐ rectly at the car. It was too dark to see whether it was staring at us, but im guessing it was! As soon as it realised we had seen it, it stood up straight, hesitated and ran towards us. Well as you can imagine I wasn't sticking around. This thing was definitely not hu‐ man, it was huge! It wasn't just tall, but broad and stocky too. I haven't got a clue what its face was like, or its skin or fur, or whatever it had. It wasn't light enough. "My back passenger darted to the other side of the car, and nobody said a word. As it came towards us it was rustling big bushes, shaking pretty big trees, it was just like in a horror movie. I drove out of the pull‐in and turned left down the lane, this thing was keeping up with the car, but in the trees. I was trying so hard not to look in my mirrors, but I could see it in the corner of my eyes, I don't know whether it was flying or jumping or what. "Its strength and quickness was unbelievable. Obviously I wasn't thinking that at the time, I just wanted to get the hell out of there! I drove to the bottom of the lane doing about 80mph, and it just vanished as soon as I came up to a pub at the bottom of the lane. I didn't stop until I entered a residential area. "The fear was unreal, I have never been so scared, and didn't think I would ever experience anything that would scare me so much. I felt physically sick, cold and shakey. I just didn't want to believe what I had seen. None of us discussed it, I think we were all in denial! I completely blanked it from my mind after that, and didn't discuss it again untill 3 days ago, when the front seat passenger brought it up in conversation, and now I can't forget about it. "I hate re‐living it, but I thought I would let others know of my experience. I'm not asking you to believe me, because to everyone else it probably seems so far fetched, but I know what I saw and so do the other two lads. Im not at all saying I saw "bigfoot" but I know 100% this thing was not human. I know other sto‐ ries say the thing they saw had red eyes, but I didn't see red eyes, I wasn't close enough to see. Glad I was‐ n't too. "What haunts me now, is... What would its face have looked like? Where is it? It must have been watching us, and what would it have done if we didn’t get away?" If you have seen something strange in Cannock Chase, Phenomena Magazine would love to hear from you.
A UFO has been discovered flying, through Cornwall, on the back of a truck. The large, round, apparently metal object was spotted by a YouTube user and uploaded to the web recently, and lin‐ gered in obscurity until it was picked up by conspiracy theory websites. "The shape and size are perfect for being a crashed UFO or even a new military disk. This is amazing footing and I only wish the person continued to follow them so that we can see where they were going. Perhaps a military base nearby." Others suggested ‐ more accurately we presume ‐ that was either a large reservoir intended to be buried below a petrol station or as a septic tank, or else some kind of turbine. Truth is, though, we don't actually know was it is. And until we do, technically it is unidentified.
"Green beam" UFO sighting over Hinckley. By Sian Young
A UFO has been reported by a number of residents in the bor‐ ough. Two witnesses have come forward separately to say they saw a very bright beam of light descend out of the sky on the eve of Sunday July 27. Details of the sighting have been reposted during August in hope of locating other witnesses. Norman Willis, 61, of Rugby Road, Burbage recalls seeing the peculiar light at around 11pm. He said: “I had just finished watching a film and I went into my back bedroom to have a look at the sky. It was clear except for one white cloud. “It was fairly dark but the sky and stars were clear to see. All of a sudden a bright green beam came down out of the cloud for about three seconds before disappear‐ ing. It was a continuous beam down. “I thought it might have been a comet but I’ve not heard anyone mention anything about a comet.” The second sighting took place on the same night but slightly earlier on. A male witness who lives on the Hollycroft estate not far from the Mill Hill Road entrance said: “I was looking out of my bedroom window which faces directly towards the west. I have a perfect view over the whole area from this window. “At approximately 9.40pm I happened to notice a very bright stationary blue/white light that appeared to be hovering at first but then appeared to slowly descend out of the sky, turning to a beautiful blue/green colour. “There was not a sound as I opened my window to listen. It was dead quiet. “The light slowly de‐ scended, very slowly, gradually turning more emerald green as it did so until it appeared to ‘drop’ behind a clump of trees and vanish. I kept looking for about half an hour afterwards but I saw nothing more.” Graham Hill from the Leicestershire UFO Investi‐ gation Network (LUFOIN) said: “We have made checks regarding helicopter movements over the area for the date and time in question, i.e. police and air ambulance, but neither craft were in operation at that time. “We are treating the sightings as strange but we need more information from anyone else who may have seen something at around that time on the date in question.”

The Quiet Ones By Steve Mera
Being a parapsychologist and investigative researcher of the paranormal for over 31 years, you can well image that I have sat and watched quite a num‐ ber of movies pertaining to paranormal disturbances. I realised many years ago that there are a lot of movies that claim to be based upon true accounts, or based on a true story... as they often say. After watching one of the most famous movies in regards an alleged demonic haunted house... 'The Amity‐ ville Horror', I decided to do a little research, which led me to write to the owners of the infamous Amityville home at 112, Ocean Avenue, Amityville, New York. To be honest... I wasn't expecting to get a letter back, so you can imagine my shock when the owners wrote back to me explaining their situa‐ tion.
The letter was hand written and... I have to say... was rather a nasty letter. Obviously, the owners were upset. They had explained that for as long as they had lived in the building, no strange disturbances nor occurrences had ever taken place. In fact, they did not believe the house to be haunted nor ever to have been haunted. They explained that the stories and rumours of such disturbances were all fake and hype to boost the interest in the book 'The Amityville Horror' as well as the movies that followed. The family had regular visitors to the home, photographers, reporters and hundreds of so called ghostbusters visiting on a daily basis for years and that they had simple had enough and wanted to put an end to all this nonsense. They had even applied to the city hall to change their address and after their plea it was granted. So the houses on Ocean Avenue were renumbered and the owners of the Amityville house paid a lot of money in having their home Page 41 Phenomena Magazine: August 2014 - Issue 64: www.phenomenamagazine.co.uk
redesigned so it no longer looked like the infamous building with its two arched attic windows we have all come to recognise. All this was done in an attempt to subdued interests from the hordes of daily visitors. As the years have past, visitors to Ocean Avenue has subsided to just the odd one or two a week. But at the time of the book and movies, it was complete chaos. Po‐ lice officers had to attend the location to traffic the thousands of people who had descended upon the once quiet lakeside Avenue. A media frenzy along with alleged psychics being possessed whilst standing outside the Amityville home, with the residents on‐looking in puzzlement. I guess you get the pic‐ ture. More recently I was contacted by Hammer productions in regards their latest movie release 'The Quiet Ones'. They asked if I would be a media spokesman for the film. The movie depicts the struggling efforts of a parapsychologist attempting to obtain evidence of the paranormal, through experimental test procedures carried out on a young and troubled girl. Forced to leave the parapsychology department behind, the team take up in an old abandoned house to continue their research, but there are growing concerns. Concerns as to the professionalism of the experiments and the well being of the sub‐ ject. Of course, in typical Hammer style, things start to get out of hand, and phenomena escalates into sheer terror... An intriguing and creepy produc‐ tion that should keep you rooted to the spot. Though the movie is said to be inspired by actual events i.e. the 'Philip Experi‐ ment', I didn't see many comparisons. The Philip Experiment was carried out in September of 1972 by Dr. A.R.G. Owen and his team of parapsychologists in Toronto, Canada. The object of this experiment was to find evidence to suggest that paranormal incidents could manifest simple due to the com‐ bined efforts of the experimenters. i.e., if you believe in something strongly enough, could it actually manifest in a very real and tangible manner? The team spent weeks devising a spirit. They gave him the name Philip Aylesford, hence the name of the experiment. They also created a tragic story pertain‐ ing to Philip, his life, where he worked, where he resided, how he looked, acted and dressed and of course how he died. They believed that through prolonged concentration, they could in fact create their 'ghost' through col‐ lective thoughts during séance sessions. The team began their 'sittings' by dimming the lights and creating the stereo‐ typical atmosphere of a traditional spiritual séance. Whilst sat around a ta‐ ble, they closed their eyes and concentrated and tried to imagine Philip being a real person. Within a few weeks of conducting these sittings they started to hear raps and bangs to their questions, as if they were receiving answers from the spirit realm. One particular time, the table shuddered and suddenly shot sideways towards one of the team. Allegedly, Philip was able to give historically accurate information about real events and people.
The Quiet Ones By Steve Mera
However Dr. Owen later theorized that this latter information came from the collective unconscious of the group. In conclusion, the experimenters were never able to prove Philip's existence, nor the 'how' or 'why'. The result of this experiment has been debated for many years by numerous parapsy‐ chologists, arguing that certain phenomena such as movement of objects, electrical interference, raps and bangs could actually all be associated with those conducting the experiments. i.e., the experimenters themselves were responsible for the manifestations, even though they were unaware or it at the time. There does seems to be evidence to suggest we can in fact manipulate our external world, environment and even physiology, simply by the power of belief. Take for instance stigmatics who through the simple power of belief they somehow manage to affect their physiological conditions causing them to manifest the wounds of Christ which continue to bleed for quite some‐ time. Interesting to note, that when many of them were informed that Christ was more than likely nailed through the wrists as opposed to the palms… so the phenomena moved.
Also, what make interesting reading is another similar experiment carried out over a period of five years beginning in 1993 by four alleged psychics in the small village of Scole in Norfolk, UK. Senior members the Society of Psychical Research observed the tests carried out and recodeded any findings. The investigators allegedly encountered evidence. Parapsychologist Richard Wiseman went on record at the time with the judgement that the Scole re‐ port is ‘very impressive’ and offered no suggestions as to how phenomena could have been replicated by normal means. Though I have read this report, I cannot help being skeptical of the results. Was phenomena truly witnessed and if so, why not carry out these same procedures under experimental con‐ ditions in a controlled environment where such tests could be replicated in hope of obtaining the same results?
The Quiet Ones ‐ Now Available in Stores near you. Hammer's new movie 'The Quiet Ones' does focus on some of the 'real' ex‐ periments carried out in the field and in a correct manner, however the Philip Experiment did not focus around an individual with alleged psychic or psychokinetic abilities as demonstrated throughout the movie. But it did emphasize that such phenomena could be associated with an individual which is similar to the conclusions of the Philip Experiment. Though parapsychology continues to be a rather suppressed science with extremely limited funding for this lengthy experimental research, it is com‐ mon to note the frustration parapsychologists often encounter due to limited funding, finding appropriate locations and time. This was certainly demon‐ strated in the movie. Often, the general public believe parapsychologists are skeptics. This is 'not' the case. In the attempt to solve some of the many mys‐ teries surround ESP and life after death, thorough and replicatable conclu‐ sions are required. Note: If parapsychologists were skeptics, then the question that should be asked is... 'why do we do what we do?'. Simple!.... We do it because we believe that such phenomena could be real, even if it is extremely rare and difficult to locate, replicate and conclude. All in all, I enjoyed Hammer's new movie 'The Quiet Ones'. It kept me enter‐ tained and on the odd occasion, even gave me a chill. And that's hard to do with me!.. Page 42 Phenomena Magazine: August 2014 - Issue 64: www.phenomenamagazine.co.uk
