EDITORIAL Hello to all. Well its November again and Yes, the year has once again flown by. Now heading into the darker nights I’m sure we will as normal staert to receive a number of UFO reports. Lets just hope we don’t get any on Bonfire Night (Gulp!!!). I was pleased to meet up with our new sub-editor Brian Allan in St. Annes last month and enjoyed his lecture very much. Brian has demonstrated an overwhelming amount of knowledge in regards the world of the paranormal, strange and profound and I’m looking forward to working with him over the coming months. The darker nights also brings about the possdability of further filming with the BBC at some alleged haunted locations as well as carrying out the odd skywatch in hope of seeing something strange and capturing it on film. I have a number of new locations to check out. For those interested I will be lecturing in Stoke on November 13th. Anyone wanting to pop along, simply get in touch with us and I’ll have the details sent over to you. Also attending Stoke will be Steve Johnson, the guy that dreams the future. Steve has been on our books with The Scientific Establishment of Parapsychology for around 8 years or so and we have collated a huge amount of evidence in support of his precognitive abilities. Steve Johnson will be discussing how his experiences have changed his life and demonstrates evidence in the way of time / date stamped e-mails. To learn more, check out Steve Johnson on Facebook or through past Planet X Radio shows. Finally, I have been carrying out a number of paranormal investigations throughout Manchester, one of which was at a public house in Reddish, Stockport. Details were passed to me by a good friend and analyst Dave Richardson who informed me that the landlady had allegedly captured an apparition on CCTV camera. Yep... Sound too good to be true, and in this case.. It was! It did not take long to work out the CCTV footage shown what can only be described as a misty blur moving around the room. On closer inspection, the misty blur was nothing more than a tiny bug caught inside the camera housing. Just goes to show that such things can easily be misidentified. So... In this case, a rational explanation was obtained. Of course... It did not stop the DJ who was performing at the pub that night from playing the Ghostbusters Theme... Oh Dear!... Time for a quick departure. Thanks to Dave Richardson for the info and if you think you are experiencing anything strange or profound, then please get in touch with us at Phenomena Magazine.
SUB-EDITORIAL Hello all, I finally met up with Steve at the Lytham-St Anne’s ‘Probe International conference in October, (I was giving a presentation) and It looks as if we are both very much cut for the same cloth. Anyway: I’m just getting my feet all nice and comfy under the table here at Phenomena Towers when, all-of-a-sudden, something pretty mind-blowing occurs. Through a good mate of mine, Ellis Taylor, I get to hear about what just has to be the major paranormal/fringe event of 2013 anywhere on the planet, (no, the world did not end as predicted). Apparently in Edinburgh, reputedly the most haunted city in the UK, (no, it’s not York or London for that matter, but being a Scot I would say that wouldn’t I?) there is a truly spectacular week long symposium of all things paranormal and Ufological planned for the middle of next year. This is called ‘The Spirits, Shadows and Secrets International Symposium’ and it runs from 26th of Aug until the 1st of October. We are currently in talks with the organiser, Jari Mikkola, about having at least one of us giving a presentation at the conference, which is absolutely stuffed to the gunwales with top class, world renowned exponents of the esoteric and supernatural. The Pig Killing Poltergeist of Runcorn By Steven Tucker
On Sunday 17th August 1952, in the small town of Runcorn on the south shore of the River Mersey, something remarkable wormed its way into this world and became a brief, five-minute wonder right across the globe – namely, one of the weirdest poltergeists of all time. The spook’s main victim in this case was a 17-year-old lad named John Glynn, employed as an apprentice draughtsman by ICI (the old Imperial Chemical Company) at their Weston Point establishment. He lived with his grandfather Sam Jones, 68, a widower, Sam’s daughter-in-law Lucy Jones, whose husband, Sam’s son, was dead, his own little sister, and Miss Eileen Whittle, an elderly lodger, in a place called Byron Street. Their house, a small corner terrace, is still in existence today, and is unremarkable in every respect – apart, perhaps, from the fact that it stands directly opposite Runcorn Cemetery. Those who feel that poltergeists are the invisible spirits of the dead may find some significance in this circumstance. Either way, Sam Jones himself had occupied the house quite happily for the past 33 years with no sign of ghosts ever being loose there, nearby graveyard or not. That fateful Sunday night in August 1952, however, was to change everything. The house, evidently, was rather crowded – so much so, in fact, that John Glynn had to share a double bed each night with his grandfather; hardly ideal sleeping arrangements for a 17year-old boy. Lucy Jones slept in another (single) bed in the same room, too, usually with John’s little sister. This cramped arrangement was presumably made in order to allow the lodger, Mrs Whittle, to have her own room, seeing as she was paying for it. The phenomena began, apparently, when the family were making their way to bed. Hardly had they settled down to sleep than they were disturbed by a scratching noise coming from inside the dressing-table next to Sam and John’s bed. They thought it might be a mouse, so put the light on and investigated. Finding nothing, they turned out the light and got back under the sheets again.
As soon as they had done so, though, the racket started up again.
Steven Tucker examines the bizarre tale of a 1950s poltergeist from Runcorn which allegedly slaughtered pigs, smashed furniture and helped to ruin a young man’s life. Over subsequent evenings, the noises turned into other characteristic poltergeist-sounds, such as knockings and rappings. Then, items of furniture began to rock back and forth and move around by themselves. Thinking a ghost was on the loose, Jones called the police. They could do nothing; three constables sat down on a chest on the landing, and were then promptly thrown off it by the spook. It being found impossible to handcuff a ghost, a local medium, Philip France, of the Runcorn National Spiritualist Church, was called in to help out instead. France went into the bedroom, claimed to communicate with a spirit, and then passed on some kind of message from it to the family. Although objects flew about whilst France’s séance was going on, after this all seemed to calm down, and the poltergeist apparently left the house. As such, despite Sam Jones’ attempts to stop the story getting out, an article appeared in the Widnes Weekly News for 26th August 1952, treating the whole thing as having been an odd but by now complete story.
Within three weeks of the haunting initially having ceased, however, the spook was back again, and causing more trouble. It always seemed to manifest at bedtime, when the lights were switched out. Curiously, the polt had a favourite object which it liked to manipulate, too; namely, that same bedside dressing-table in which the mysterious scratchings had first appeared. This was rocking around from side to side, making odd noises, and its drawers flying out and across the room. By 20th September, John Glynn had persuaded an 18-year-old friend, Johnny Berry, to share his bed with him in order to give him courage (presumably his grandfather was sleeping downstairs now, then?). At this point the phenomena were at their height, and crowds – of more than a hundred persons – were congregating outside the Byron Street home. The great unwashed soon came up with a

nickname for the ghost – namely ‘Jooker’, seemingly implying that the whole thing was just a fake. Sam Jones, eager to show that it was not, repeatedly invited the crowd to come inside and stare at his grandson lying in bed in the dark whilst objects flew around him. Some of the more reliable and professional people on the scene were even allowed to stay late into the night.
Rarely do such disturbances last longer than 12 months. In most cases there is a focus, usually children in the envirnoment. Such disturbances follow a pattern of events starting with audible disturbances, then object manipulation, then apparitional, then physical interaction, and then psychological interaction.
A Light in the Darkness
The most notable such observer, it seems, was the Reverend WH Stevens, then the Superintendent Methodist Minister of Widnes, who first visited Byron Street on the evening of Monday 22nd September. He was a member of the SPR (Society for Psychical Research) and a man, initially, of a somewhat sceptical frame of mind. He was soon to become a believer in the reality of the case, however.
At around 11.30pm, it was decided that John Glynn and Johnny Berry should retire to bed and put out the lights. At first, all was quiet. Then, as soon as the light had been extinguished, the dressing-table began to creak loudly and to shake and rock itself around. When the light was put back on it stopped immediately, and the table was found to have walked itself out from against the wall by a few feet. There were several witnesses to what happened next, as a crowd of people were gathered around by the bedroom Page 2

Poltergeist Facts: It is a little known fact that Poltergeist activity rarely wastes enery. Ie, in cases when object manipulation takes place, most objects or items are moved through the air horizontally or fall from walls or units to the floor. Rarely are such items seen to rise or lift in flight, ie, battling gravity.
door and extended right down the stairs. Once more, the lights went out – and once more the table moved itself forward, by about six feet. After putting it back in its place, Reverend Stevens decided to see if the poltergeist was intelligent. “If you can hear my voice, knock three times,” he said. The spook did not knock, but rocked the dresser from side to side violently. Immediately as the third such rock occurred, Stevens switched on his torch, expecting to find one of the boys in the act of cheating, but both lads were lying in bed with their arms tucked safely beneath the covers. The dressing-table, meanwhile, was still rocking itself around, and continued to do so for a few seconds more. Going up to it, Stevens tried to make it sway himself. He found that it stood firm on the floor, and certainly would not budge of its own accord.
whenever they hit people they did so extremely lightly, and caused no harm at all – a long-established if puzzling pattern in poltergeist cases from right throughout history.
inside the bed – which creaked badly as soon as there was any movement inside it anyway – and, upon one occasion, were being physically held down by other persons inside the room when the
Another odd thing about the objects’ flight was their frequently unusual trajectory. Upon one occasion when the lights were suddenly switched on, for instance, JC Davies, a visiting businessman, saw a cardboard box in suspension above the bed. Its movement was, he said, “not that of an ordinary trajectory, but almost as if it were being carried with directional intent.” Another time, a jig-saw was seen, by sudden application of torchlight, to be floating through the air at a height of seven feet whilst both John Glynn and Johnny Berry visibly had their hands beneath the covers. This detail was frequently noticed; the boys had their arms tightly tucked
objects were flying and the dresser rocking in the dark, so it seems most unlikely that they could have been doing it all.
Soon after this event had occurred, books and a small alarm clock which had sat on top of the dressing-table were flung across the room, a dictionary even hitting Stevens on the head. After this, a drawer was pulled out of the table and its contents emptied out on top of the bed. A thin cotton table runner was then ripped from top to bottom in a single tear, and a large, heavy box began turning itself over of its own accord. Worse, the boys themselves were assaulted; they had their pillows torn out from beneath their heads, and were lifted out of bed and then deposited down onto the floor – being, they said, dragged out by a force which they could not resist. Whenever the lights came on, all activity instantly ceased. Given this fact, what evidence is there that the boys weren’t just playing tricks? Well, in terms of the objects being thrown around, it is notable that they were hurled with such force that some of the plaster on the walls was knocked off. Furthermore, the alarm clock which was so treated eventually disintegrated under the force of the blows to which it was repeatedly being subjected. In addition, the rocking around of the dressing-table was so violent that it caused the plaster to fall down from the ceiling of the room below it, exposing the wooden laths. However, whilst objects were thrown with enough power to smash through plaster and create dinges in doors, Page 3

Throw The Book at Him Against this mass of accumulated testimony, however, there are some things which might lead us to make alternative conclusions about the haunting. For one thing, there is the fact that, on November 26th 1952, WH Stevens, JC Davies, three journalists and a local pub owner turned up at the haunted house and were let inside.
The Pig Killing Poltergeist of Runcorn By Steven Tucker
Whilst they were outside the bedroom, a noise was heard. The publican and one of the reporters crept up silently to the door and, in the light of their torch, saw Sam Jones banging a book on the wall three times before then throwing it away. When caught out like this, he simply replied that he had just found the book deposited down on his bed from who knows where, and had responded to this fact by tossing it across the room in anger. Clearly, however, this was definite evidence of skulduggery having taken place.
the post, and one of the pieces of paper containing part of the formula was missing, rendering it useless. People all across the world, then, were eager to hear more news of the now-famous Runcorn poltergeist. Having to live and sleep under such conditions of pressurised expectation, perhaps it is no surprise that Sam Jones eventually felt the need to try and resort to fraud after the poltergeist had actually gone away, then?
Smoke Gets in Your Eyes However, how much do these events, taken in themselves, invalidate the rest of what is supposed to have happened in the haunted house? After all, the pattern of genuine phenomena gradually petering out and then being replaced with fraudulent events is a commonly-noted one within poltergeist studies. If people turn up expecting to see something and then see nothing, then it often makes poltergeist victims feel like fools or liars. They don’t wish to disappoint visitors, and so produce false book-throwings where once there were genuine ones – or so the theory goes. At Byron Street, the ghostly occurrences had begun to fade away sometime in October – way before November 22nd, when Sam Jones was seen to throw the book. Maybe he just didn’t want to let down his guests?
Sam Jones had made efforts to prevent the media from getting involved initially and, once he had failed in this task, perhaps he felt obliged simply to go along with it all. After all, the story had eventually spread abroad, and created international interest. The family even received a letter from as far afield as Germany, enclosing a helpful formula for exorcism. Sadly, however, the envelope had been tampered with in
However, there are some further sensational events associated with the case, which we have not so far mentioned, that only make the true story even harder to fathom. Sam Jones was a farm-labourer, and worked for a certain Harold Crowther of Pool Farm, on nearby Heath Road. This farm, too, was haunted, just like the house in Byron Street was – and the events there had broken out around the same time, too, namely on August 10th, when Crowther saw a ghostly figure, resembling his wife’s dead father, wandering around the place. Not long afterwards, he found that three of his pedigree pigs, for no apparent reason, had simply lain down and died. Within a fortnight, all of Harold Crowther’s pigs were dead – 53 of them in total. Five vets examined the bodies, and could discern no plausible cause of death. Had a ghost killed them? Crowther soon saw something which led him to believe that this was indeed the case. It was, he says, “a large black cloud about seven feet in height, shapeless except for two prongs sticking out at the back” which he saw floating around outside, by the pigsties. Three days later, Crowther’s wife witnessed the same thing. A few weeks afterwards, Harold Crowther saw it again; this time in his kitchen. He claims that he rushed past it heading for the light switch, when he felt its two prongs, which were “solid, like blunt sticks”, going for his throat. As soon as he switched the light on, however, the thing disappeared – just as the spook at Byron Street did whenever the lights went on. Indeed, remarkably, according to Crowther, this black cloud then showed up at Byron Street itself, where it was
seen (by Crowther) hovering above John Glynn’s bed. Crowther said that he had seen the thing for the last time on December 13th 1952, when he let his two farm-dogs loose on it. They jumped up, snapping and snarling, as it rose into the air and simply disintegrated. This time, it was lighter in colour and much smaller than it had been upon the previous times he had observed it. Apparently, this sighting of the cloud coincided with the concluding trick of the poltergeist at Byron Street which, we are told, announced its final departure by folding up the carpet in the bedroom.
Poltergeist Facts: Object manipulation can be rather precise on many occasions and does often go unnoticed by investigators of the subject. It is important to always measure the distance an object had been moved. Such measurements often arise time and time again. Poltergeist activity can be very precise in its movements of objects. This measurement is referred to as the ‘Displacement’.
However, it does seem slightly suspicious that seemingly all of the most remarkable incidents in the Runcorn case were witnessed only by Crowther. If he was telling the truth about these matters, then we might almost be justified in suspecting that Crowther was the poltergeist focus – the technical name given to the person around whom the ghost’s activities most frequently occur – in this case as opposed to young John Glynn, as most commentators have traditionally supposed. Keep Your Focus Most persons who have written about this particular case have agreed that John Glynn was the most likely candidate for being the focus at Byron Street. This seems plausible, as his tense mental state was commented upon by several contemporary witnesses at the time. For instance, a police constable called out to the haunted house by Sam Jones right at the start of the outbreak was of the opinion that Glynn was “in a state of nervous collapse” when the whole thing began – could such a state of affairs have led to the poltergeist being created by psychic forces being emitted from within Glynn’s own mind? It appears that there were certain mental irregularities about the boy even after the haunting had come to an end. In January 1953, only a few months after the ghost had disappeared for good, Glynn left Runcorn to complete his National Service. However, whilst away with the Army, it appears that he had some kind of nervous breakdown, and military physicians recommended his discharge. Page 4

The Pig Killing Poltergeist of Runcorn By Steven Tucker
Poltergeist Facts: Manifestations of liquids have been reported numerous times as a form of Poltergeist activity. Such things as Oil, Plasma, water and even blood have been reported during investigations around the world. The most famous UK case in regards water manifestation is the ‘Rochdale Poltergeist Case’ of 1996. To learn more check out MAPIT investigations at: http://www.mapit.kk5.org
Furthermore, whilst the haunting was still ongoing, friends and family began to take note of the evident strain and stress which was being placed upon the lad, and became worried for his welfare. Accordingly, distractions and treats were organised for him – which did not always pan out too well, sadly. Upon one occasion, for instance, some family friends invited John to an outdoor garden-party at their home in nearby Frodsham, which he gladly attended. The hostess, though, was pouring him out a nice, cool glass of lemonade when, for no apparent reason, the glass simply shattered in her hand. Bizarrely, not a single drop of the lemonade which it contained fell onto the floor; instead, it all jumped out and landed over John himself, drenching the poor boy and, presumably, only heightening his own self-consciousness about the matter even further. It seems safe enough to say, then, that John Glynn was not his usual self at this time. But why? Possible reasons for his mental stress are not too hard to find. For one thing, as already alluded to, he had his National Service coming up. It seems that Glynn was a serious, quiet and studious young boy, exactly the type of kid who would not exactly have relished being taken away from home to be shot at by foreign insurgents in Cyprus, Kenya or Malaya.
We can also presume that there were some underlying stresses present in his usual home-life, too. We will remember, for instance, how crowded the bedroom at Byron Street was at the time, and that Glynn had to share a double-bed with his elderly grandfather. This kind of situation is hardly healthy, and perhaps some significance can be found in the fact that the phenomena initially began to manifest themselves when the two men were in bed with one another. Could it all have been a form of unconscious psychic protest by the boy against his sleeping-conditions? It is noticeable that, as the case went on, Sam Jones seemed to have stopped sleeping in the same bed as his grandson, his place being taken instead by the boy’s good friend, Johnny Berry. In addition, Glynn’s little sister was farmed out to stay with others during the haunting, freeing up a little more sleeping-space in the room, too. Page 5
Phenomena Magazine: November 2012 - Issue 43: www.mapit.kk5.org
When the family’s lodger, Mrs Whittle, died by unfortunately falling down a nearby deep quarry during the course of the haunting, another bed must have been freed up as well. Perhaps it is a significant preconclusion that, as more and more sleeping-space was eventually freed up in the house, the phenomena began to unexplicably and steadily decline.
No doubt to some readers this proposed explanation for affairs will seem somewhat unlikely and overly elaborate. Maybe it is. Also, it doesn’t really explain what went on with the pigs on Harold Crowther’s farm. But, then again, something strange certainly happened in a small house in Runcorn in 1952, and there has to be some explanation for it all ... doesn’t there?
This is a much edited-down extract from SD Tucker’s new book, ‘Paranormal Merseyside’, due to be published by Amberley in October 2012. It features accounts of blind Liverpudlians who can still see, Jesus appearing in a local man’s dishwasher, spontaneous human combustion in Widnes and sexspoiling spooks in Frodsham. Bisexual aliens in Runcorn, rabbit-ghosts in Warrington, a lion in St Helen also appear as do, Grey and White Ladies in Speke and the Wirral and even Gerry Marsden (of iconic 1960’s band Gerry and the Pacemakers) had his very own UFO-sighting.

Empty Houses or Not? & A Genie in a Bottle - Two interesting tales . By T. Stokes.
Those whose business is empty houses, such as realtors, builders, decorators, modernisers and estate agents, have in recent years become more educated in what can lie behind individual aspects of sick building syndrome and those harbouring static electric, memory imprints, emotional currents, or lower realm spirit infestation. Houses with an unhealthy or unwelcome feel to them will certainly give off special signals, which subconsciously many people on entering these properties will pick up on, this according to many property dealers will deter many a buyer. Some 30 years ago not many people were as aware as today on the reasons for a property not selling... Page 7

Empty Houses or Not? & A Genie in a Bottle - Two interesting tales . By T. Stokes.
Haunted Houses.
Technically these building’s that for no obvious reason just would not sell were called in the trade “stickers” and a well known chain of British estate agents, developed a set of rules to cover over any suspect vibrations, with some simple guidelines, such as de-cluttering help from Feng Shui, or the smell of fresh roast coffee or a bread maker, using air fresheners and ionisers, burning perfumed candles and light flooding with table lamps, vases of flowers strategically placed even washing all through with disinfectant and perfumes was used to help move a “ sticker”. If you view a property with any of these ruses, look deeper. A senior estate agent told me 30 years ago that if a property came up for sale and was a good bargain it would either be bought by themselves or their group, then offered to their Synagogue or Masonic lodge, round town, then in the County, the last of all offered nationally to outsiders. This same chain of estate agents would phone me and ask me to come by and pick up the keys to houses which could be almost anywhere in the country, and ask me for a cleanse through, the word exorcism was never used, this meant that I went in usually with a helper, to see a house before any amateur ghost hunters or sceptics could touch or alter anything from vibrations to invisible occupants, and on those rare occasions that it was necessary, bring the sacrament of deliverance to the house or even bring in a rescue team of spirit sweepers. But today things are different everyone is a paranormal expert Feng Shui masters, ghost hunting groups, reiki healers, freelance mediums all are vying to be first into properties which may show initial signs nocturnal habitation. Smudging and house healing is big business, and there are so many healing courses on offer, some undoubtedly genuine and some you can buy through the post, and some you do not even have to alter your material life style, and are instantly attuned to healing energies, for a large monetary sum of course. The late great healer Harry Edwards told me when I was just 18 and learning my craft, that houses and homes often needed healing, from events and the toxic people who lived there over the years, just as if you put an onion in a box overnight, a sensitive person will know feel and smell it, so a sensitive
There have been many reports or alleged haunted homes owned by City Councils and housing associations throughout the United Kingdom. Most social housing businesses do have a protocol for dealling with such problems. If evidence is obtained to suggest a family home is having some form of paranormal disturbance, relocation is often a remedy, however it is best to leave the house ‘Fallowed’. Ie, left for a specific duration of time without any form of electrical power in the property in hope of disapating the phenomena.
will know about the houses past occupants, and not all ghosts are bad, I have come across some friendly, but lonely and confused ones. The modern paranormal industry has come up with some super special tools for house investigation, whereas in my day, it was down to knowledge, long years of training and intuition, and initial ”feelings” opening the door and walking over the threshold is still the best method of first analysis and defence. Time taken in investigation, if proof is needed for would be buyers to know why the house feels and acts in a sickly manner, because yes there are healthy houses and sick houses etc, the search for why can and must include previous occupants, neighbours accounts, maps in the public library to asses soured ground and battle sites, and electrical pylons nearby, never forget to visit the local pub and chat to locals, and house visitors like the regular postman etc, all will have an opinion. Make notes of all these in case they be of later use, for the paranormal is surely just a roundabout of knowledge that is forever spinning. THE GENIE IN THE BOTTLE This is a strange story and in retrospect I am not proud of my part in it. It began when in 1980 I took employment at a building site as a labourer, fetching tools, sweeping up, ensuring the site was clean, safe and of course making tea. Well, a kind friend told the lads there that I was a spiritualist and one of several “rescue circles” on 24 hour call
for exorcisms, now called deliverance. From that moment on I became the target of relentless Mickey taking, I myself am a practical joker so could not really complain, but each morning my padlock was glued up on my tool box, and I was informed it was ghosts, it was also ghosts that hid my things, dropped things on me from the scaffolding, welded my steel toecap boots to the floor, and generally cheesed me off. But things came to a head when I began to get late night phone calls, telling me to come out urgently as the local pub was full of spirits, things such as this were intruding into the life of my family, and no amount of reasonable asking would get my foreman to stop. Eventually a message came through that was a genuine call for help, most are sincere but rarely to do with spirit. The house concerned was one of three work men’s cottages virtually unspoilt since the 1700’s, in a most beautiful part of Kent, in rural England. A woman in her forties was nursing a bad tempered and foul mouthed old man in what was obviously the last months of his life. This lovely but a little shabby old cottage had been the focus of some minor paranormal activity, that was no more than a nuisance, however, a deep feeling of menace, brooding and unease permeated the building, which I was unsure if the old man was connected to, but I was certain his emotions were at least a contributing factor, to the thick negative energy currents there. With old houses like this especially when not ruined by the “modernisers”, a lot of Page 8

Empty Houses or Not? & A Genie in a Bottle - Two interesting tales . By T. Stokes.
Haunted Houses. The United Kingdom is said to have an anormous amount of alleged haunted buildings. However not all can be scientifically concluded to be having such disturbances. Evidence is often weak and hoaxes are plentiful nowerdays. However, when all rational explanations are exhausted, the extra-ordinary is the only plausible approach.
the old memory patterns are retained, emotional themes, household arguments and even the vocal range of previous occupants, this can be captured and mentally regurgitated by spirit mediums. Many of these old farm cottages, were for workers on the farms of long ago, this farm was a huge apple orchard where the farmer was not allowed to sell the fruit under Common Market CAP rulings, so theses lovely bright red apples had to be ploughed back into the soil each year. On examination of the cottage, particularly the north facing walls which often harbour dam which feeds astral creatures, I then asked for a shovel, and began digging under the front step, then in front of my bewildered audience pulled out the remains of a very old leather shoe. This told me two things, that for this amulet to be in place from when the house was almost new, meant the feeling of claustrophobic negativity, was an old one, and the type of spirit deterred by the shoe. A detailed search of the fireplace for amulets and scratch marks, and an examination of the ceiling beams was unproductive, I then sat down with the lady of the house and gave my prognosis. My belief was that a sprite or Imp, was responsible for the minor phenomena, my only real concern was that the base was there for things to get a lot worse, the lady of the house advised me that she wanted it taken away. I had then to tell her of her elderly husband’s caustic attitude towards all who wanted to help him and, the awful fact that lower spirit entities may be feeding from this.
It is well known in occultism that any toxic emotional state can attract unpleasant freeloaders into the human system from the astral plane. Hamartiology, is the theological study of sin, although “sins” have changed since the middle ages, often what was once a sin, is not now regarded as such, can you imagine some of our lawyers, pop stars and politicians if things had not changed? The realms of evil thoughts and evil deeds are the resting places of some of the most unsavoury categories in incorporeal life, and an insulting and unpleasant old man such as this would give succour and harbour to this exuviae, living in his aura. For just as if you go to earthly places that are unclean you can pick up bacterial bugs and parasitical stuff, so also if your thoughts visit unclean places you can pick up bugs in your aura. Many fairy stories have a basis in fact, the story of the “Genie in the bottle” is more fact than fiction, with this in mind, I emptied a pop bottle and allowed my thoughts to associate the unpleasantness of my foreman in work with the similar remarks, and sarcasm of this sick old man, who was starting to really irritate me, and unforgivably- I conjured the mischievous sprite into the bottle and banged the top on and turned it tight. Making my goodbyes I left the unspoilt beauty of the Kent village behind and returned to 20th century London. Early next morning as the milkman left his store of bottles on the doorstep of my foreman’s house, I tiptoed over and added my pop bottle with the “surprise”
inside, and watched as the bottles were taken inside, I knew that curious hands would open and look inside, releasing the imp, into is new home. My intention had been to educate this man that not all life was in a body, and that when he apologised I would recapture the infernal animal and release him in the correct place, however, several of us labourers were suddenly laid off, and I did not see the bullying fore man again. It was some years later that I heard the story of how he had picked up the bottle, and after looking at what looked like smoke inside, opened the top on an angry little beast. Then began what was described to me as a period of madness, things going missing only to be found some distance away, toilets jammed up with missing clothes, the two household cats running away, lights going on and off on their own and mysterious scrawling on the walls and the bullying foreman thinking he was going mad, until bringing in help from a specialist medium, which did the trick. I had learned a valuable lesson in having the strength not to retaliate, and I curiously wondered what lessons the Foreman had also learned!

Are Aliens Something To Fear? By Morten St. George
I read that Stephen Hawking, the noted physicist, fears aliens, so much so that he has hinted that we stop looking for them, stop sending out signals to keep our existence a secret, less the aliens discover us and come here to wipe us out. This article will discuss whether this viewpoint has any merit... The North American Indians, the South American Indians, the Africans and others, all had something very real to fear when the Europeans came to their land, so it is understandable that earthlings, like Hawking, might fear aliens coming to this planet. This fear stems mainly from superimposing human mentality on the aliens, not to mention watching too many Star Trek and Star War movies. There is a noticeable distinction between Europe and the other continents on the one hand, and between an alien planet and Earth on the other. The distinction is distance. To reach the other continents, the Europeans only needed some relatively primitive sailboats. But for the aliens to reach Earth, dozens or hundreds of light years away, they would need quite sophisticated spacecraft. The critical question, therefore, is: Can a barbarous civilization develop higher technology? Human history does not support the notion that it is possible for a barbarous civilization to achieve higher technology. The two most barbarous epochs in human history were 1) the tens of thousands of years preceding the dawn of civilization, and 2) the thousand-year period following the fall of the Roman empire. In both epochs, technological progress was virtually nil. Only when human civilization became less barbarous, with the demise of royalty, with the demise of slavery, and so forth, do we begin to see technological progress... For sure, there may be barbarous civilizations in deep space but they are nothing to fear because it is unlikely that they will ever be able to leave their own planet. Evil empires with high technology exist in the movies, but we should not allow this to delude us. Science fiction writers need to create them to make an interesting story. In real life, aliens traveling through space are far more likely to have the morals of the crew of the starship Enterprise than the morals of the crew of a Cleon vessel. Now another question arises: Are friendly aliens something to fear? Some have suggested that contact with aliens would cause a dramatic upheaval in human society. My opinion on this is: Not really, not at this stage in human history. We've been through a lot and, in some ways, alien contact would be just another news event. As for the "upheaval," I can think of three things that might happen: 1) The armaments industry could be affected. In the knowledge that alien civilizations exist, it is likely that humans will want to bind together as a species and will stop killing each other. If communications from the aliens are minimal, the armaments industry may turn toward space defenses in case the aliens become hostile. If communications from the aliens are abundant, friendly, and helpful, the armaments industry will likely be severely damaged. 2) Disparities between developed countries and the third world may start to melt away along with other inequities in human society. We are likely to see more attention to education, technology, and space exploration. 3) Organized religions could be affected. Fundamentalist concepts like creation may get pushed into the background, but overall, religions should become stronger as people look for consolation and moral guidance. Hawking acknowledges that aliens may have extremely advanced technology. The major flaw in his thinking is not realizing that such technology can be used to find ways for self-sustenance not including the barbaric plunder of inhabited planets. Unless you are directly or indirectly connected with the armaments industry, alien contact is nothing to fear, maybe even something to welcome. Page 12

Book Review By Malcolm Robinson
TITLE: The 100 Best BRITISH Ghost Stories. AUTHOR: Gillian Bennett. PUBLISHER: Amberley Publishing, The Hill, Merrywalks, Stroud, Gloucestershire, GL5 4EP. PRICE: £14:99. ISBN: 978-1-4456-0694-1 www.amberley-books.com Ghosts are everywhere, they can be seen, sensed and smelt and their presence has been detected from every country on Earth. Records of ghosts go well back into antiquity and this book is a collection of ghost cases spanning the last four centuries put together by Gillian Bennett. It is of course her take on what are the best 100 ghost cases and I dare say many other authors would present you with their own cases (this reviewer included) that much is obvious. Of course what makes Gillian’s book different is that she brings to bear cases not just from the 20th century, but right back to the seventeenth century. The problem with those seventeenth century cases, are that a fair amount of them are sketchy, come with little or whimsical information. That’s to be expected I guess as we are talking about centuries ago here and not last week. So things will get lost in translation. Needless to say there are a few classic ghost cases in this book, that’s to be expected, I refer to the Cock Lane Ghost. The stories in this book were drawn from the author’s own 30 year collection of ghost stories and she does admit that some of these stories have been passed on from generation to generation, word of mouth etc sharing their own cultural traditions, traditions which I guess to some degree have moulded themselves to that culture at that time. That’s as maybe and we can’t get away from that, that they have been recorded at all is at least a good thing more so from those of centuries ago. The author introduces the subject of ghosts from the early 17th century. The Protestant Religion stated that that there was no purgatory at death, that the soul went straight to Heaven, whilst on the other hand the Catholic Religion stated that there was a three tired afterlife, Heaven, Hell and Purgatory. The Protestant Religion poo pooed tales of ghosts as lies and delusions. It would seem not much has changed since the 17th century! The shortest ghost tale that the author refers to is this one, are you ready! Here we go. Titled ‘An Apparition in Cirencester’, it reads thus. Anno 1670 not far from Cirencester, was an apparition: being demanded, whether a good spirit, or a bad? Returned no answer, but disappeared with a curious perfume and a most melodious twang. –Aubrey Miscellanies, p82. Quite an amazing tale is told on page 38 where an entire battle which initially was fought back on 1642 at Edgehill south Warwickshire somehow came back into being was re-fought in front of a startled witness, now that is something folks that I truly would like to see. Another quite amazing tale I found in this book was a few pages later, page 40. Here was an incident which some men might say could have been more pleasant than frightening, but then again, maybe not! It concerned a gentlemen who retired to bed one night only to find two ghostly women jump into bed with him, one either side and who proceeded to rip the night clothes of this poor unfortunate man. This chap was more terrified than pleased and started to batter out at these two transparent female intruders but was powerless to stop what eventually happened next. He was found bloodied and bruised the following day by some friends who I dare say; found the reasons behind his bruising a wee bit hard to swallow. It wasn’t until the latter part of the 17th century that authors such as Richard Bovet and George Sinclair with their ghostly account books, that ghosts got any serious attention. These books, as Gillian tells us, had a big influence on the minds of young people. The 18th century was a century where ghosts (whilst still being reported) took a back seat to the day to day life of Joe public. That changed with a massive interest of ghostly phenomena with people reporting ghosts’ more and more often. The Spiritualist movement and people trying to contact the so called dead, raised more than a few eyebrows by the many different local authorities from where those reports came from. This book also features stories about ‘helpful ghosts’! Ghosts that have come back from an afterlife to impart some important message. Then there are your poltergeist cases with their disturbing qualities. There are tales of sprites, boggarts and black dogs, all which played a part in the cultural ghostly development of the populace. As we progress through from the 17th century through to present day, we see the stories of ghosts and poltergeists increase and that there are many more people willing to come forward and report them. It’s a new world of course from the early 17th century, the world as we know has changed a lot, but reports of ghosts it would seem are still being made today. This book then is a valuable book in that it looks at the development of ghostly tales and what was thought of them by the powers that be from the various centuries. Do we have any definitive answers then to explain why people see ghosts? Well some would say we do and they are the spirits of people who have passed on whilst others would say that all reports of ghostly manifestations are nothing but misidentifications and or have been made by people on drugs. What is patently true though is that ghosts will be with us for a very long time, of that dear reader, you can be sure of. Reviewed by Malcolm Robinson, Strange Phenomena Investigations. November 13 - New Moon. The Moon will be directly between the Earth and the Sun and will not be visible from Earth. November 13 - Total Solar Eclipse. This event will only be visible in parts of extreme northern Australia and the southern Pacific Ocean. However a partial eclipse will be visible in most parts of eastern Australia and New Zealand. (NASA Map and Eclipse Information) November 17, 18 – The well known Leonids Meteor Shower is one of the better observable regular meteor showers and often produces a display of around 40 meteors in an hour. The shower reaches a regular peak every 33 years when hundreds of meteors can be seen. The last of these peaks occurred in 2001. The shower is usually at its maximum on November 17 & 18, but can sometimes be seen from November 13. The crescent moon will set early that evening leaving dark skies for what should be a first class display. Look for the shower appearing from the constellation Leo after midnight, its always best to ensure a dark as a sky as you can. November 27 – there is a Conjunction of Venus and Saturn. These two bright planets will be within 1 degree of each other in the eastern morning sky around sunrise. November 28 – There is a Full Moon (whooo, beware of werewolves) The Moon will be directly opposite the Earth from the Sun and will be fully illuminated . November 28 - Penumbral Lunar Eclipse, (i.e a sort of partial half-shadow) Luner Eclipse. This will be visible in the UK and mainland Europe and North America. (NASA Map and Eclipse Information)

Irish Ghosts, a Ghost Hunters Guide Peter Underwood Amberely 978-1-4456-0652-1 £12.99
THREE INTERESTING REVIEWS BY BRIAN ALLAN
In this latest offering from Amberely publication, Peter Underwood, a name to be reckoned with in ghost hunting lore, presents a good and well documented selection of haunted location in Ireland. Each case is rationally set out using a uniform set of criteria: Location, History, People, Manifestation, Probable identity, Frequency plus Witnesses and Evidence. This pretty much says it all as each case is stripped back to its bare bones and everything relating to individual cases is slotted in to its respective category. Just about everything is present here, ladies of various kinds (and colours) white, grey and red are here. There is no sense of excitement or atmosphere here at all, nothing to prickle the hairs on the back of your neck, it is a set of data and some impressions and it could (and should) have been so much better. It reads like a text book, which to some extent it is, but that said it does serve a useful purpose which is to inform…but it really should entertain as well and it does not and that’s a shame because in the past Peter Underwood has produced some really worthwhile contributions to the genre and his volume about the notorious Borley Rectory is a stand alone classic. The book is of admirable quality, the production values are first class and it is well illustrated with decent b/w images of various location mentioned in its pages and given the wealth of information it holds is well priced at £12.99. From this reviewers perspective this book, although not an ‘easy read’, would be ideal for the serious ghost hunter who wants to know more about the supernatural side of Ireland and for that reason it is to be recommended. While this book is very detailed, well written and lucid, it is clear that it was written by an American with very American attitudes to the subject of the paranormal. The book is laid out in several very specific sections, each containing one particular aspect of, in this case, ‘Ghost Hunting’, which is of course quite different from paranormal research. It starts off with a section on being prepared both mentally and in terms of organisation and methods, which includes appropriate protocols and behaviour. This includes a section on ‘the scientific method’, which jars a little since there is nothing scientific about supernatural manifestations let alone any consensus on how they function or operate. Another peculiarity in a later section is advice on applying ‘spiritual protection’ to the group by invoking St Michael before you begin, which assumes a religious blessing by having a saint condone the project, this seems to be at odds with the scientific approach. The book progresses through a total of ten sections each containing advice including team work, field work, psychic selfdefence, how to recognise a genuine haunting and also how to protect against demonic possession. The book also (and sensibly) cautions that help should be sought from professionals if anything seems to be getting out of hand, (which it can;) this should be either from a doctor or a clergyman. The section about test and measuring equipment used on ghost hunts might (and I emphasise ‘might’) be helpful, it is certainly comprehensive, if there was any general agreement on what is being measured and why. Once again there is absolutely no consensus on this, especially in the use of infra-red thermometers of the laser ‘point and shoot’ variety, which are invariably used incorrectly making the readings both unreliable and meaningless. That said, for the absolute beginner the book will be helpful since, if followed word for word, nothing in it would actually cause the amateur to get into trouble. For the more experienced investigator though it should serve as a useful guide and aide memoir only, because there are parts in it that are entirely subjective and open to various interpretations, especially when interfacing with ‘spirit’. Title: Werewolf: The Beast Among us Genre: Horror/Thriller Director: Louis Morneau Distributor: Universal UK Format: DVD and Blu-Ray Main Cast: Stephen Rae, Guy Wilson, Nia Peeples Stephen Bauer Extras: Transformation, Monster Legacy, Making the Monster Price: DVD £9.99, Blu-Ray £12.99 This latest addition to the current wave of movies dealing with supernatural creatures is a rather unique, engaging and thrilling take on the werewolf genre. The film has a delicious well-observed period feel to it and looks a lot like the also excellent ‘Van Helsing’. It is set somewhere in Eastern Europe in the late 19th century and features the exploits of a fearless gang of werewolf hunters-for-hire who hear of a creature that is attacking and killing the people in a remote village. They travel there and strike a deal with the mayor to hunt and destroy the creature. One of the locals joins them, but the deaths continue and those only wounded by the beast soon become werewolves themselves. The local doctor solves this problem by killing them on the spot with a bullet through the head should they visit his surgery for medical aid; an efficient and bloody method of dispatch also favoured by the hunters. The action set pieces are first class with gore and violence in abundance as the hunters set about their task with ruthless efficiency. However the villagers have their own ideas and organise a pursuit, which soon unravels as the moon comes out and the creature starts picking them off, they also run into the deadly booby traps set by the hunters. The film has a genuinely nifty and satisfying twist involving one of the hunters, but to see it you’ll have to watch the film: highly recommended.
Are Aliens Linked to 2012? By Angie Blake
Rumors are rampant all over the world that extraterrestrial civilizations are preparing for a spectacular event in 2012. No one knows exactly what the Mayans really meant by the coming cataclysmic events of 2012, but now many researchers are predicting that the earth will be in severe danger in 2012 and beyond. And at the right moment in 2012 or beyond, the extraterrestrial advanced civilizations will eventually come to rescue our human civilization. Some believe the human civilization has finally reached a level where the earth can officially become part of the Federation of the Universe. According to researchers, the Federation of the Universe representing all of the 88 star constellations will officially visit the earth in 2012 and reveal themselves. It will bring an end to all UFO cover-ups in various countries. There have been more and more reports of humans being contacted by celestial beings. Some have been harmless visits with messages that the aliens are coming here to save the planet‌ to help humans save themselves, while others are horrific tales of abduction, experimentation and other terrifying experiences. Many people are asking why we are now being contacted by extraterrestrials. These contacts occur during dreams, in meditation, face to face, and often simply by poring through books and the internet to sate an unquenchable thirst for knowledge about ET's. Humans' emotional reactions span from abject terror to vague indifference to deep spiritual connection with the enlightened beings. Many believe these celestial beings are here to bridge the gap between humanity and the angelic world. Some psychics explain that prior to our incarnation, the humans that are on this earth now, agreed in our divine contract to have a celestial awakening, which includes contact by celestial beings. Often those who most stubbornly refuse to acknowledge their celestial selves have the most terrifying contacts, including abduction and implant experiences. For those having undesirable experiences, your participation is desperately needed in the mass awakening of humanity to its higher self. Some celestials are willing to break their own karmic law to shake you awake. There are ways you can prepare for the coming of 2012. Spookology - Who Put The Norm in Paranormal? By Richard Holland
Round The Bend. Ghost ships are perhaps the most romantic of all spooks. Everyone’s heard of The Flying Dutchman – a crewless ship in full sail endlessly cruising the oceans to deal out death to any mariners unlucky enough to encounter it. Now that’s one serious spook!
Richard Holland is the editor of the ghosts and folklore website Uncanny UK and the former editor of Paranormal Magazine. A journalist of more than 20 years’ experience in newspapers and magazines, he is the author of six books, including ‘Haunted Wales: A Guide to Welsh Ghostlore’ and ‘The Horror of Gyb Farm’. The best-known ghost ship in British waters is probably the one seen off the Goodwin Sands in Kent every fifty years. This is the Lady Lovibond which went down with all hands on February 13, 1724, while a wedding party was celebrating on board. Legend states that the ship was deliberately driven on to the sands in a fit of jealousy by a steersman who had been in love with the bride. This is not the only phantom vessel seen off these treacherous sands. A dramatic one was recorded in the log of the captain of an East India Company clipper, inward bound for London: ‘November 28, 1753: At ten of the clock of this day, while riding out bad weather off Goodwins, awaiting better conditions to continue our passage, an armed frigate came driving down on my ship, her masts gone, her decks and hull in fearful shape. It seemed to us all there could be no avoiding her coming athwart our anchor-chains with dire results, and I was about to order my first officer to slip our anchors when we made out the frigate for what she was. ‘Her name became clear for all to read; it was “Northumberland”, and as she came on, sweeping down on my ship, we saw men running in panic about her main deck. She appeared to be unmanageable. We watched in horror, for the wind was not strong enough to place any ship in such condition, and then it pleased Almighty God the phantom, for such it surely was, steered contrary to our mounting anxieties to windward and so drove on clear of us, but no more than two ships’ lengths to our leeward, and so disappeared in what seemed a dark haze.’ This was the ghost of one of thirteen Royal Navy warships sunk in ‘the Great Storm’ off Goodwin Sands on November 26, 1703. During this disaster, another ghost ship was seen. According to the few survivors, ‘a great warship of Drake’s day, her sails tattered, burning from fore to aft and

In the way-back-when of my time editing Paranormal Magazine, I jokingly coined the term ‘spookology’ in one of my editorials. I’ve started using ‘spook’ as a handy word for any really weird and inexplicable ghostly phenomenon. At a time when the supernatural, an area of research in which we still understand very little, is becoming increasingly codified, the bizarre nature of the spooks recalled in this column may serve as a reminder that it’s way too soon to start normalising the paranormal.

gloriously named Chygwidden farm (how Cornish is that!) before vanishing near a rock where foreign gold was believed to be hidden. Similar is the phantom galley of Loch Fyne, near Iveraray, Scotland, which is said to appear as a warning of death to a member of the Clan Campbell. After first manifesting in the loch, it too sails over dry land, disappearing at a shrine to St Columba. The Americas too have their phantom ships. They include the SS Valencia, seen off the coast of British Columbia, a spectral schooner seen on misty nights off the coast of Maine, and the skeleton-crewed galleon of the Spanish privateer Don Savande.
(Above) - Porthcurno Ship The UK’s strangest spectral ship legend involves a Cornish sailing vessel that floats over dry land as well as the sea. It might be considered that these ghosts are merely playbacks of past events and not spooks at all (although the ‘stone tape theory’ hardly applies on the open ocean). Not so the ghost ship of Porthcurno, in Cornwall. This is an undeniable spook. It’s not content to merely ride the ocean waves, it also sails across dry land! It was seen, like The Flying Dutchman, as a death omen and also as a warning of possible attack from the sea. It would sail over the
One of the most intriguing is The Caleucha which sails the waters around the island of Chiloe off the coast of Chile and is said to carry the souls of those recently drowned at sea. Unlike the grim apparitions of the Flying Dutchman or those of the Goodwin Sands, The Caleucha shimmers with an ethereal beauty and the sounds of jollity emanate from its decks. The spirits are celebrating their rescue from their watery graves. Of course, there are also many accounts of ships and boats that are themselves haunted but that’s a different subject entirely and one I do not have room for here!...
Storage 24 Title: Storage 24 Director: Johannes Roberts Distributor: Universal Format: DVD & Blu-ray Extras: None Stated Price: £9.70 on Amazon This better than expected slice of Sci-Fi horror is set in a self storage warehouse (hence the title) located in London that has accidentally become locked with a group of young people trapped inside. What follows is a real thrill ride of shocks and surprises with more than a hint of the transport ship ‘Nostromro’ interior scenes (and soundtrack) from ‘Alien’, as the group are relentlessly pursued around the soulless, bleak corridors of the warehouse. The lockdown which is right across London has been caused, unbeknownst to those inside, by a military transport aircraft crashing close to it carrying what turns out to be an extraterrestrial with less than friendly intentions. The ET, which is suitably flesh-tearing and hideous, looks like a kind of nightmarish cross between the beings in ‘Predator’ and an insect, picks off the group one by one in increasingly gory ways, until at last one of those left succeeds in killing it and they escape, only to find that, well no spoilers here, you’ll have to watch it to find out. All in all this is a rather good little movie and best of all its British.

Truth - UFOs and Prophecies from Outer Space A FILM BY JACK GERLACH Now presenting the most controversial UFO / ET case in history. The truth is exposed in this remarkable film about how one man's meetings with extraterrestrials lead him through dozens of adventures! You will be captivated by how "Billy" Eduard Albert Meier became known in his early years as "The Phantom" (a real life combination of Indiana Jones, Han Solo and Lawrence of Arabia), who carried a 44 Magnum and apprehended serial killers and mass murderers. Meier meets many famous world leaders including Saddam Hussein and later reveals ancient prophecies that would eventually come true. In 1958 he predicted the Iraq Wars, Global Warming and even the AIDS epidemic. Meier's life story is an enigmatic journey that ultimately culminates with his becoming the messenger for an advanced race of ET beings known as the Plejaran. Their message is clear: Earth is in trouble; the people have been asleep and we must make drastic changes or there will be devastating consequences for all of mankind. In his later years Meier stumped hundreds of skeptics with his clear UFO photographs, film footage and sound recordings of Plejaran "Beam Ships," all taken and recorded in broad daylight. Exotic metal samples he received from the extraterrestrials, according to scientists, remain to this day irreproducible. So decide for yourself if it's all a hoax, and if so, then ask yourself, why has Meier been the target of 21 assassination attempts? Could it be that the message that humanity so desperately needs to hear is not welcome by many of our world leaders? Discover why this, the most controversial UFO case in history, has endured and remained alive in the face of intense skepticism for over 50 years. Pub ghost ‘Beryl’ caught on boozer’s CCTV Camera. THIS is the moment pub bosses reckon they caught a ghost called Beryl who haunts their boozer on CCTV. The unwanted visitor at The Manchester Arms in Hull say the spirit flickers lights, turns off machines, plays with hair and even causes floods. Owners Lisa and Mark Fowler took over the Old Town pub ten weeks ago and have been experiencing some spooky goings-on ever since. SPIRIT among the spirits named 'Beryl' at Manchester Arms has left locals spooked.
Dr. David Clarke believes Ufology as we know it may be over... Featured in the Sun Newspaper on November 7th 2012. IS it all over for UFOs? Some experts claim modern technology has killed off any chance of little green men. They believe the advent of camera phones and the internet means if there really was alien activity it would have been recorded and proved by now. Here, a UFO expert argues why he has concluded aliens are little more than a myth. PEOPLE still talk about aliens today but where is the evidence for them? I’d say there’s lots of chatter but no meat. No one is seeing anything new. The last really good case was in 2007 when a pilot saw something while flying over the Channel Islands — it was a bright, pencil-shaped object. But it turned out to be a ferry and this was confirmed by radar maps and ship timetables. It knocks it on the head when you think that everyone is carrying around mobile cameras these days. Grainy pictures are a thing of the past. Who, nowadays, is likely to be out and about and doesn’t have some form of camera to hand? Phone cameras are so advanced. There is footage of the July bombings in 2007 and major revolutions taking place around the world happening in real time. But where is the footage of aliens? There is some footage but it’s so obviously faked. That’s the challenge to people who say there is no doubt that aliens exist. If you go back 400 or 500 years people were convinced witches existed. In 500 years’ time, people will look back and ask why people believed in such a ridiculous thing as aliens. With the vast majority of sight-ings, there’s an explanation. And now the internet knocks myths on the head straight away. Rather than taking months and years to get to the bottom of a strange sighting, you can do it in a matter of days — and the mystery gets killed off. If you ask the people who believe in UFOs for their best evidence, they’ll probably cite an example from the pre-1980s. But they happened so long ago, no one can get to the bottom of those cases. But instances like that just won’t be repeated these days. People are good story-tellers and have lots of motivations for telling stories about UFOs. A leap of faith is needed when it comes to believing in UFOs. But if someone ate your cabbages, you wouldn’t think it was the pixies and the same applies to UFOs. The evidence doesn’t convince scientists, government ministers or the person in the street. There’s no doubt people see UFOs, but UFOs do not mean aliens. The most sensible ufologists — and there are sensible ones — would agree that out of the 500 or so sightings reported every year, almost all of them are Chinese lanterns. Telescopes all over the world are watching the skies and haven’t picked anything up. High-powered radars are not picking anything up that can’t be explained. People say it’s the government covering it up. But it’s not just the government looking for them so it can’t be a cover-up. And if aliens can avoid all our radars, why do they bother to turn on the lights when they arrive? Latest 'Bigfoot sighting' racks up 2m hits on YouTube (even though camera turns away at the key moment)
The footage shows a bright white light but Lisa says this ISN'T Beryl they believe she is the object to the LEFT of that. Shocked Lisa, 38, said the woman looks like she is in her fifties and appears wearing a fur collar. The footage shows a bright white light but Lisa says this ISN'T Beryl - they believe she is the object to the left of it. She added: “Sometimes, it feels like someone is running fingers through your hair. “Other times, it feels like someone is behind you, but when you turn round, you catch a shadow in the corner of your eye but nothing is there. “Then I couldn’t believe it when I saw the CCTV footage.”On the evening of November 1, Lisa had been preparing to go to bed in the family’s home above the pub, when she went into the office to check the computers. Mark was downstairs cleaning the bar when Lisa spotted something on the CCTV screen. She said: “I phoned down to one of our barmaids, Gemma, and asked her if she’d let anyone else in. “She said no but I could definitely make out a lady on the screen. “I went running downstairs to see what was going on, but there was nothing there.”
Pub Landlord calls in Ghostbusters after seeing a Spirit. A PUB landlord had to call in ghostbusters after staff saw the eerie figure of a man sitting at the bar waiting to be served. Workers at the Old Star pub in Hull have been seeing strange apparitions since May. Landlord Dan Webb has had to call on local paranormal investigators because his staff were “freaking out” over the spooky goings on. They now avoid the corridor leading to a dining room in an old barn. Dan, 33, said: “I’m not really a believer in ghosts but too much seems to have happened.
Rumours of large hairy ape-like creatures roaming through the forests of North America have sparked curiosity and debate for decades. And the latest possible sighting of Bigfoot by Beard Card on a camping trip with three of his siblings in Provo Canyon, Utah, has triggered just as much interest. Mr. Card says he spotted what appeared to be a black bear shuffling about behind trees near Squaw Peak and Little Rock Canyon last week. Ireland’s spookiest ghosts spots. By Aoife Finneran. October 31st... The notion of creatures emerging from the Otherworld during the “Samhain” is rooted in ancient Celtic mythology. And, as our guide to the country’s most famous ghosts shows, recent centuries have only added to their number. LORD TYRONE BACK in the 1600s two orphaned siblings made a pact that whoever died first would reappear to the other. Years later, Lord Tyrone fulfilled the pledge at Gillhall, Co Down — telling his sister she would join him as she hit 47. On her 48th birthday, a relieved Lady Beresford threw a big bash, only for the priest who had christened her to reveal she was a year younger than the age on her invites. She died that very night...

LEAP CASTLE GHOSTS IF building a castle on a Druid site in Offaly wasn’t inviting trouble, the O’Carroll clan cemented its haunted credentials with their nasty habit of starving enemies to death. In 1909, workmen removed three cartloads of human bones from the dungeon — but their spirits still roam the castle. WOMAN IN THE WHITE DRESS WILFUL Warrender’s wedding day 500 years ago went pear-shaped when her new hubby dozed off on guard duty near Kinsale, Co Cork — and was shot by his colonel. Finding her love slumped over the battlements, Wilful threw herself to her death and still roams Charles Fort in her wedding dress to this day. WICKLOW GAOL GHOSTHUNTERS claim this 1702 lock-up is one of the most haunted spots in the world. Its most famous residents include a young boy who loiters in the prison’s school room, a lady in black walking in and out of cell 22 and prisoners of the 1798 rebellion. MOLLY MALONE DUBLIN’S most famous fishmonger was also a prostitute who plied her trade between the Liberties and Grafton St. Records show she died of a fever in 1699 at the age of 26 and, just as the song suggests: Her ghost wheels her barrow Through the streets broad and narrow Crying cockles and mussels alive-alive oh MALAHIDE CASTLE’S PUCK DURING the 1500s the Talbots’ live-in jester — a pint-sized romantic called Puck — fell for a lady from the rival clan. Soon afterwards, Puck was stabbed. With his dying breath, he vowed the murderous family would forever be haunted by his dwarfish presence.
Staff spooked by ‘Ghost’ on CCTV Camera. OFFICE workers have say they have seen a ghost - after a spooky spectre was spotted on CCTV. The haunting moving light was recorded at a paper factory and left staff quivering with fright. Employers at SMP Large Format, Ashford, Kent, witnessed the strange glowing orb moved, pulsated and grew travelling between camera to camera. Production manager, Nick Henry, said: “I was sitting in the office one morning when I noticed a strange flash on the screen.
The British actress made the spooky admission when she appeared on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno to promote her new movie Anna Karenina. Keira, 27, who is engaged to musician James Righton, told how she was visited by a ghost while staying in a plush hotel in Los Angeles. Worried that she sounded “crazy”, Keira told Jay: “I don’t believe in ghosts but I have seen one, as I don’t know how else to explain it.” Her revelation, which was met with laughs from the studio audience, left Keira red-faced, but that didn’t deter her from explaining her encounter with the "other side". Ghostly ... Keira tells Jay Leno about her spiritual encounter She said: “I was staying at this hotel in Los Angeles and my mum had come out to stay with me. I was very lucky - it was a very nice room, with a bedroom and sitting room. I walked into the sitting room - as I’d just come out of the shower and there was a guy sitting on the sofa. "He had a burgundy shirt on and short black hair and I thought oh, some guy has come into my room, so I said to him, ‘Hi, I’m really sorry but you’re in my room,' and he disappeared.” In good spirits ... Keira Knightley An intrigued Jay asked what happened next, to which the young actress replied: “My mum came in and asked who I was talking to and I stuttered and said, ‘There... there was a man sat there.' He was just sitting there like you are sat in your chair now.” Only after re-telling the story did Keira begin to second guess her conclusions and told the popular chat show host: “I don’t think I’d been drinking and it was early in the morning, so I can’t think of anything else.”
Robbie Williams is an E.T. Rider. By Gorden Smart.
“I decided to rewind the tape to see what it was. I saw this glow moving around, all the time increasing in size and brightness until it moved out of camera sight. "It was really weird and it was very scary. It was like nothing I have seen before and was horrible. “None of the workers want to be alone any more, we are all pretty tough people but after recent events you will not see us here alone.” Nick, 42, added: “I am not a sensationalist, I did not even believe in ghosts or anything of that kind before I had seen what I saw that day. “The boys in the factory feel there is something there or watching them. You know when you get the feeling you are not alone? “We have not seen the orb or glow again since, but a couple of them have said they have noticed their tools being moved. “One of them even got trapped after a really heavy piece of kit somehow moved to block a door, again when no one else was around.”
ROBBIE WILLIAMS ducked out of a ghost-hunting trip to go UFO-spotting. The singer asked writer JON RONSON to find a haunted house – prompting a flood of interest from posh castle owners. Jon said: “These ladies of the manor were throwing their ghosts at Robbie as if they were their debutante daughters.” But Robbie changed his mind and went to Nevada to talk to UFO “abductees” instead. Now Jon is desperate to revisit their original plan and write a book with Rob where they go searching for poltergeists. He added: “We would have been like Danger Mouse and Penfold. I would have been Penfold. “It nearly happened. We were going to do it - but instead he decided to re-join Take That. My loss was GARY BARLOW’s gain.”

Year Long Stay at ET Base By Marc Ryo
In 1969, a French farmer was asked to spend one year living and working at a subterranean base in the Himalayas. A 40-year silence was imposed following his return, and in 2005, Robert L. came forward ... Remote Viewing Underground UFO Bases. Skip Atwater. When then Lt. F. Holmes 'Skip' Atwater began the US Army Remote Viewing Star Gate program in 1978, he had no idea that he'd challenge his viewers with targets like underground UFO bases. Atwater grew up in a southern California home where it was normal to talk about things like leaving your body and hands on healing. During the Vietnam Era, on February 14, 1968, he joined the Army as an intelligence specialist. Along the way, Atwater had read 'Journeys Out of the Body' by Robert Monroe, which described how Hemi-Sync (tm) binaural (in both ears) beats enhanced learning, induced out of body experiences and stimulated different states of consciousness. He also read 'Mind Reach' by physicists Hal Puthoff, Ph.D. and Russell Targ, who later introduced him to remote viewing. He was asking questions like 'What is this remote viewing? What is Monroe discovering about our consciousness with his Hemi-Sync applications?'

Intimate contact with Ets. Daily instruction in yoga, information on the Universe, galactic communication and Earth’s dilemma. Mission to provide genetic material for Earth-like planets. Spacecraft excursion and encounter with French fighter jet - Aveyron, France — 1966. Over a period of months a farm in southern France was plagued by the appearance of lights. Balls of light appeared in the evening and surrounded the house of 20-year-old Robert L., who lived with his parents and his grandmother. Large balls of light moved over the ground, seeming to extinguish and re-light, eventually joining up with a giant bullet-shaped form standing vertically. They appeared to be intelligent.

One evening the young man, feeling exasperated, attempted to run into a ball of light with his car. A race ensued over 2 miles, and Robert was unable to catch up with the ball. The car broke down. A flying vessel appeared. The temperature rose. A "flying saucer” with two domes descended to the ground where Rogert saw two figures on the inside. He lost consciousness. Over the next days, Robert was overcome with fatigue and had nightmares. He slept twenty hours a day for three months. Visitations 1967-1968. For two years Robert received many visits in his bedroom at night. Extra-terrestrial entities crossed through the walls and surrounded his bed. Robert was paralyzed. Bullet-Shaped Vessel
Year Long Stay at ET Base By Marc Ryo
The visitors were tall, blond, and thin with long arms. They were dressed in skin-tight jumpsuits open at the neck and wrists, with a metallic shimmer and a wide belt. They introduced themselves as scientists from another galaxy. They took a blood sample and told him they were interested in his genetic structure. Over the next two years, Robert was mentally and physically prepared through these visits and instructed in yoga-like exercises. A man who presented himself as the “Guide” nicknamed him “Roro”. They were part of a Galactic Confederation in charge of maintaining life on planets inhabited like the Earth. At the end of the two years of night-time training, he was invited to accompany them back to their base on Earth and to serve as a donor of genetic material to populate a faraway planet. He was assured that everything would be taken care of and he wouldn’t lack anything. January 1969 - Departure to Himalayan Base. A spacecraft came to pick him up in a field next to his farm. It was a large, flat vessel 65 feet long with a dome. It was red like hot iron, surrounded by a yellowishorange cloud. It landed without touching the ground. A door opened and the “Guide” welcomed him. The craft took off, with no detectable motion. Robert was worried. The Guide showed him the wall had become transparent and Robert saw what he thought was Marseille. They were at an altitude of 40,000 meters. The trip lasted less than an hour and they arrived at a subterranean base in the Himalayas. After a night spent in a bedroom with rounded walls, Robert was served coffee which tasted as if made by his mother. He put on an outfit resembling an overall of soft, tight-fitting material. It would be changed and regenerated for the capture of magnetic rays. Two women introduced themselves: a "Biologist” and an “Ethnologist”. In the bedroom there was an eye-shaped device which was a kind of television in 3-D where he could see and hear everything happening at his home, and listen to his parents’ conversations. At the base, the food was simple and healthy: water and grains, accompanied by marbles which tasted like ground beef. The meal was taken in his bedroom accompanied by the Guide and the two women. They took him on a tour of the cave which was actually a base with several floors, constructed over 3000 feet below the earth. It was surround by a triple magnetic belt which insulated and protected the base from earthquakes. There were numerous rooms. An elevator opened onto a platform in the open air where he could go in the evening, though he was accompanied. The terrain was rugged with high snowcapped mountains. The Guide demonstrated how he could disintegrate a tree with a ball-like device which he carried with him at all times. The spacecrafts accessed the base by way of a snaking tunnel with a funnelshaped entrance situated lower in the valley. It opened onto an immense hangar where the spacecrafts and personnel were located. Robert saw vessels entering from 90 feet away. He was permitted to walk around the interior of the base, except for certain zones. One day he forced entry into the rooms containing nuclear, magnetic and electric fields. He was pushed back by an invisible wall.
There were conversations between the Guide and the Ethnologist about our Earth civilizations. Of particular interest was our behavior and how we treated the planet. They gave him much advice on physical and mental health. He received regular yoga instruction. Despite their politics of benevolence and noninterference and their respect for “free will”, caution would be taken regarding nuclear dangers. In case of nuclear conflict, intervention was possible. Robert observed an ambience of peace and harmony at the base. The occupants seemed to master perfectly the present and the future. Everything was planned to the smallest detail.
Daily life at the base.

Robert was taken care of by the Biologist who expained to him nicely what was expected of him: a regular sperm donation. This operation, destined to populate a planet, took place every two days.
At one point the Biologist invited Robert to observe a meeting. He was ordered to remain perfectly quiet and simply to observe. The room was equipped with a big oval table, and he watched in surprise as one by one the
Exercises carried out was similar to those used in Yoga.
Order and discipline seemed to be the motto. It was said that the extra-terrestrials were 20,000 years ahead of our civilization. They explained the Universe to him as well as interstellar communication.

guests of different races began to materialize around the table. People appearing in 3-D had discussions with the guests about suns and the movement of spacecraft between the planets. The Guide also gave Robert information on time and space and the magnetic energy needed for travelling. The Guide told him he was able to live four to five hundred years before changing bodies, and that death didn’t exist. The only thing that counted was the perpetual evolution of the soul. The body was only a container. October 1969 - Scramble with a fighter jet.
In 1977, Atwater packed up his wife and three kids and headed towards his new duty station, Ft. Meade, Maryland, to join the US Army's elite Intelligence and Security command program, Systems Exploitation Detachment or SED. He worked on the Sensitive Activity Vulnerability Estimate or SAVE team. Cold war commanders were expected to take measures to protect ALL aspects of their operational capabilities. Once a new threat was identified, the SAVE team would 'attack' a command, challenging all aspects of security.
During his stay in the Himalayas, Robert was invited to take an excursion to France aboard a spacecraft. Seven people were on board: the Guide, the Biologist, the Ethnologist, the captain and two pilots. It was a circular fighter craft, 90 feet in diameter. At one point, a Mirage III French military jet, appeared on a screen in the inner wall of the spacecraft.
The third document described Project SCANATE, highly classified, CIA funded remoteviewing research conducted primarily at SRI that demonstrated the ability of remote-viewing surveillance to acquire and report intelligence to the intelligence community.
At the first European UFO conference in ChâlonsenChampagne (France) in October 2005, Robert revealed his story. The Guide had told him to keep the story secret for 40 years. Robert believes he has a foreign implant in his back. During the conference, another contactee with paranormal abilities, examined him and found something moving under Robert’s skin which emitted an electric charge into the hands of the therapist at the moment of a camera flash, followed by an intense vibration in his back. Robert does not wish the implant to be removed. Examination of Robert L.’s implant

Exploring his new Ft. Meade office, Atwater opened up his safe and discovered three Department of Defense documents "mistakenly" left by his predecessor. The first two described the Soviet Union's research into psychic spying. The third was written by Targ and Puthoff and described remote-viewing research at SRI International in Menlo Park. Atwater read a 1972 report on how the Soviets were conducting parapsychology research at over 20 separate institutions with an annual operating budget of over 21 million dollars. The KGB funded this research. The other document described 'bioinformation' such as telepathy, precognition and clairvoyance and bioenergetics like psychokinesis and telekinesis. 'Sounds like remote viewing to me,' Atwater thought. Soviet Remote Viewing was now considered as a potential security threat.

The spacecraft swerved under and alongside the French jet, and Robert could see the pilot in the cockpit who turned his head and looked toward the spacecraft. Supersonic fighter aircraft designed by Dassault Aviation during the mid-1950s.
“Once we have made enough progress to go to the moon, Mars and further, we must go with an open mind, with no desire to conquer. The Guide told me that we would be under surveillance. That if aggressive ideas germinate in the minds of astronauts, they’ll be prevented from carrying out their plan. ‘You must come in peace, with sincerity, honesty, and humility. If not, we will stop you.’ All the conversations we had at the base come back to me. We have a long road in front of us before we can liberate ourselves from enslavement, big or small. Of course, we mustn’t reject everything, we need to keep what seems good to us. We won’t change our mode of thinking so easily, which is often egotistical and egocentric. UFO research is a good thing. The overall mentality and opinions on the subject are changing rapidly. The arcane secrets are beginning to open up gradually. It’s better to go slowly and go far. When the majority of the planet is ready, there could be a possibility of encounter. The Guide’s word.”
Robert could also see the pilot and his instrument panel on a screen, and discerned a registration number on the jet: FB. Later investigations beginning in 2005 confirmed the presence of the Mirage III identified at the Dijon military base. The name of the pilot was retained for possible testimony, but he has not been found. Instrument panel of Mirage III fighter jet.

the feeling. But it's a very different approach because I went to yoga classes in Rodez and it seemed less life-like, less interesting, I didn't learn this method at all. Concerning the actual testimony, I'd like to thank Mr. Metz and Mr. Venturini for the enormous amount of research they've done, especially concerning the pilots when I made an excursion in France in a spacecraft which was following a Mirage III. It's true that, considering that forty years had passed, I wanted to find someone who could help me make this testimony known, as I was aware that it was something important. I think there are other people who have experienced things just as significant or moreso, and who prefer not to make it known, unfortunately. So we're going to step back forty years. The first time I learned that balls of light could exist, I didn't believe in them at first, it was in June 1966. I was coming back from a local festival in my car, it was about one in the morning. The light in the front yard was on. That wasn't normal, and I thought something must be up. Maybe an animal was ill, or someone was ill, something was wrong. My grandmother said to me, “My dear, there were balls of light moving around, and they rose from the field up to the house. We were afraid that they could start a fire.” She went to bed fully clothed. Obviously I took a look all around, but there was nothing. It was haying season. We'd gone to bed and I didn't think about it anymore. Then in the first week of January 1967, I was pitching hay, and I saw my father going outside to take a look. He said, “Come and look, there are those balls...” So I quietly went out of the barn, but I couldn’t see anything. My father said, “They just went out. One minute we see them, the next minute they’re gone, they go out like a light switch.” And I went back to pitching hay to give to the animals the next morning. After two or three minutes, he said “Come and look, come and look, they're back.” This time I rushed out and I saw this giant bullet-shaped vessel and the balls that were coming up from below. We saw the balls go up into the vessel, it was about 10:30 or 11:00 at night. And so the game continued until the morning when there were balls rising and one ball on the road. I'd been running back and forth between the front yard and the back of the house. I kept watching the balls that were moving and the ball in the middle of the road. My father was starting to get old, and I said to myself that this couldn't go on: I had to do something about it. But what? So I thought: “You're going to go up to it on foot and catch it. But what if it's full of electricity, you'll be grilled like a sardine!” (Laughter) And suddenly I said to my dad: “I just had a great idea: I'm going to take the car, and I'm going to try to get closer.” I figured that when I approached it, I'd gun it and bump it with the fender. So I took the car and checked if there was gas, and started it up. After about a hundred feet, I thought I must be seeing things: the ball was advancing - was it me or the ball that was advancing? In fact the ball was leaving. We went like that for about one or two miles, and then I started back. At about 300 feet before the intersection toward Villefranche de Rouergue, the ball was following me, and then it went off to the right into the trees. Then I saw some sort of flying saucer with a double dome. There were silhouettes on the inside, that's all I saw. And the heat was increasing. All this happened at the same time, and then my motor started choking. I was used to driving and drove pretty fast. So what did I do: the motor wasn't accelerating, so I stepped on the clutch in case the
car conked out. I have to say that at that time there weren't a lot of people who had cars: there was the parson, the teacher, the mayor, the deputy mayor who lived in the village next door, there weren't any other cars. And in the middle of the week, no one passed through in the night. I was really hot, I felt like I was suffocating, my head was nodding and I couldn't remember anything, I lost consciousness. And when I came back to, I was lying in a ditch. I thought, “Now what are you doing here?” And the memories came back. I went back to my car and it started on the first try. I went back home, and I saw my parents. There was light everywhere. “What are you doing here?” I said. “Do you know what time it is?” they said. “It's four in the morning. We've been waiting for hours.” So I said, “But why didn't you go to the neighbors to try to find me? The neighbor has a motorcycle.” “But my dear, there was one ball at the front entrance, and another at the back entrance, and they stayed for several hours, all the time in the same place. They only left when you came down the hill.” That meant about a quarter mile or thirty seconds before I arrived. And now I understood why they couldn't leave. I told my family that now we were going to go to bed, it was four o'clock in the morning. A few days later, I was incredibly tired and had to sleep. I couldn't stand up straight. The fatigue hit me and I went up to my room. I couldn't work either, for the last few days. And then after that it was more intermittent. And then later, “they” came back again. I didn't write anything down, I should have written a lot of things down. I never had the presence of mind to note down these encounters, the dates they came. I don't know why. Maybe now I would have done it. There were tractors that worked at night in the neighboring fields. And sometimes there was this big light: it looked like a motorcycle headlight. When the tractors had left, I looked at this headlight, I stared at this “thing”. It projected light, it got huge, and at that moment I felt I had to go back to my room. And a few minutes later, rather quickly, a light passed through the wall, and the room was all lit up. And people came in. Some days, I could count up to nine people. After that it was intermittent. I was more or less conscious, sometimes semi-conscious, I don't know. One day, I noticed a bracelet around my arm, that filled up with blood. I didn't feel anything. No pricking. And then after they left I slept really well. And the next day I went back to work of course.
Remote Viewing Underground UFO Bases. (continued) Skip Atwater. According to Atwater, Remote Viewing is: The acquisition and description, by mental means, of information blocked by ordinary perception by distance, shielding or time. A way of perceiving something with mental powers alone using a scientifically designed, protocol driven structured process for acquiring information.
Typically, a viewer and interviewer are isolated with a target, which may be a picture or randomly generated numbers, in a sealed envelope. Neither know what the target is and are both blind to the target. This is known as working 'double blind' so the interviewer can't feed information to the viewer. The interviewer might ask 'Describe the location inside the envelope?' The viewer might then make sketches or jot down brief word descriptions. Atwater then designed a proto-type RV program to assess if we could defend and/or hide our secrets from the Soviets and began working with SRI to orient the first six candidates to remote viewing. As operations and training, Atwater needed to 'determine the operational capabilities and limitations of remote viewing, identifying and developing the individual RV skills, and test and evaluate the accuracy of remote viewing on unique targets.' Challenge targets such as ET's and UFOs were used to hone skills and stretch RV capabilities.
Then I was conscious, and they started to discuss something. The “Guide” presented himself. I was small, he said, and he was “an ace”. I said, “Who are you? Are you God? Are you angels?” (Because you know, I was raised in the Catholic tradition.) He replied, “We aren't God, we aren't angels. We are humans. We belong to the human race, like you. There is a human race in the universe. We are explorers of the stars. On our planet, we are considered as scientists. We visit different galaxies, different worlds, different solar systems, and we study.” And little by little, we started talking. “We're going to teach you a practice that you could call 'Yoga'. There are standards, but you don't have to worry about that: we're going to show you, and you're going to work, like us.” I started my first session of yoga, I think it was the Biologist who showed me in my room which wasn't very big, “I'm going to show you two exercises, and one breathing exercise.” I had three things to do. GD: Robert, excuse me, you had health problems, you had serious migraines, and it was after this that Page 24

Pat Price's Underground UFO Bases
Atwater not only worked with Robert Monroe to develop his training program, he also cooperated with Targ and Puthoff at SRI and learned of a viewer named Pat Price. Former CIA director Stansfield Turner described Price as 'A man who could 'see' what was going on anywhere in the world through his psychic powers.' - Chicago Tribune, August 13, 1977. One day in 1973, Price walked into Hal Puthoff's office, tossed a file on his desk and said 'You might be interested in these UFO bases.' Price believed that ET's had established four underground bases, had remote viewed them and provided Puthoff with descriptions of their locations and functions. Hal Puthoff, Ph.D., founded and directed the CIA funded Remote Viewing program at SRI from 1972 to 1985. Price, who died under mysterious circumstances in 1975, was believable had a proven RV track record and had neither agenda nor any axe to grind. Puthoff passed the same folder on to Atwater in the early '80's, saying 'You might be interested in this.' At this point, it's important to note that Price's information was viewed without protocols, the results were not officially reported and Price did not use sealed envelopes. Price's report stated that the bases primary purpose was to 'reinforce B.T.L. implants, transport of new recruits and overall monitoring function.' Today, Atwater has no idea what B.T.L. implants are and to his knowledge, no one has remote viewed this term. Price also reported that the base inhabitants looked like us, homosapiens, except for the heart, lungs, blood and eyes. He reported that the sites were highly protected from discovery, mutually supportive, and had very high technology. He also noted that they used 'thought transfer for motor control of us.'
Page 25
“they” explained that there were ways. RL: Yes, it's true I had migraines. Sometimes when working on the farm I couldn't finish my work because I had to go lie down, I was throwing up, I took medicine, aspirin, Préfagil, Calmine: terrible migraines. I threw up, it was completely dark, I couldn't stand noises or anything. The Guide told me: “We're going to propose a task for you, of course there will be compensation. Your migraines, we have techniques to take care of that for you. You are in excellent health. But there are a few adjustments to make. And sure enough, after that it improved rapidly.” So I started on the first of October 1968, my yoga session was at 10:30 at night. The Guide asked me, “I'd like you to come with us, to a cave in India. It's fixed up with all the comforts, there's everything you need. The day that we tell you, if you follow us, you won't take anything, just your clothes, you'll go down to the bottom of the field on the day we tell you, at the hour we tell you, and we'll take care of everything.” I didn't respond right away, but he came back later, and between October 1968 and the first week of January 1969 when I left, they came back rather often. So did I think about it? Why not? Why wouldn't I go? I thought maybe I would die. I didn't have a girlfriend, I hadn't seen much in life. I figured I had a chance to discover something I'd never see again. So I said I would go. He said, “You continue your work, you continue your yoga practice, and the day we tell you, you'll go down to the bottom of the field, and we'll be there. You will wait at the foot of the cherry tree, but don't go any further, and when you see a column of yellow light, at that moment you can go forward.” And that's what I did. The day of the departure, I went down to the bottom of the field, and I thought “Doggone it, you're going to get into a machine like that, and if you go too high - at school I learned that if you rose in altitude, there wasn't any air - and if there wasn't any air in this machine, I was going to die, I'd be screwed! I was really anxious at that moment. And then I received a message very strong in my head, “But no, don't worry, everything is provided for, we guarantee your life, there won't be any problem for you.” So I went down the field, and I turned around at the foot of the cherry tree and I waited. All of a sudden I saw the sky opening up. I saw a big circle, and I saw what looked like another sky in the interior. The spacecraft passed through, and then it closed up again. Then it descended quickly. It did a big circle, and landed about 200 feet away. It rocked slightly at the back, I don't know if it touched the ground or not, it was nighttime. When I saw the yellow light, I approached it. At a few yards away I saw a sliding door. The spacecraft was lit by a white light. I saw a tall man who I recognized, because he had come to my bedroom. I went up three steps. And I sat on a very comfortable chair, which surprised me at the time, now we make chairs like that here on Earth. I looked at where I had entered from, but I couldn't recognize the place where I'd entered because the door wasn't there anymore. I was trapped, closed in, couldn't get out. And it didn't move. I said, “We aren't leaving?” and they said, “We've already left!” In front of me, or just below me a big panel became transparent, it looked like glass. I saw light below, a big city below, I wasn't sure but I thought it was Marseille. I got up, and sat down quickly. They said, “We're at 130,000 feet.” They didn't say whether we were above Marseille or not. But there was a town set back a bit, on the right. So we must have been veering to the east.
Phenomena Magazine: November 2012 - Issue 43: www.mapit.kk5.org
The voyage lasted from about 50 minutes to an hour. Then the panel opened and I went out. It was a place not like here. Everything was arched, there were no hard angles or anything. I was told where my bedroom was, that I had everything I needed. I was told to go to bed, and we'd see in the morning. The next morning I woke up, and there was coffee! The same taste as my mother's! It was like she'd brought it to me. And I felt a little more safe. We worked almost a whole year: there were yoga exercises, discussions, I read “Science and Life” (a French science magazine), some issues of “Science Lives You” at the time. I spoke about it to Jean-Claude Venturini, he even found some issues of “Science and Life”, one of them spoke about “quasars”, I had no idea what it was. On the subject of yoga postures, I asked if there were names for what I was doing. They said, it's not your business, all that counts is that you work, you have to work. We're going to give you work until the end of your life, and you still won't have finished. But you'll see, if you work well, when you are old enough to retire you'll realize you were given a magnificent treasure. It took me forty years, and now I'm beginning to realize it a little. But it's true that what I practice has nothing to do with what is practiced in yoga classes. What else did I learn? Oh yes, I learned that our lives have twelve cycles of seven years each. The first three up to age 21, birth, growth, the minimum information to get along in life, and then from 21 to 64 where we achieve things or we don't, we try to lead a life as best we can. At 64 comes the age for the practice of mental yoga which I learned at the time but was told not to practice it until the age of retirement. And so I started to work on it, but it's rather difficult, it's daunting, but it allows you to go to a certain level of understanding, of personal growth, to be able to liberate yourself, to attain a certain liberation. GD: Can you talk about what their motive was, why they needed you? RL: They told me I had certain genetic characteristics, which allowed them to populate, or repopopulate, to bring certain elements of life to a planet that was in a state of extinction. GD: Can you talk about two episodes, the “airplane”, and the famous meeting? RL: One evening the Biologist asked me, “Would you like to take part in a meeting where there would be groups of people from all over the universe, held in a special room? You've never been there and it would allow you to advance a little, to see how we work.” I said yes, why not. And at that moment there was a dispute between the Guide and this woman, the Biologist. At first he said no flatly, and they looked at each other face to face, there was an exchange without any words. And the Biologist turned to me and said, “Yes, you can participate on one condition, you'll sit where we tell you, you won't ask any questions, you won't say a word, and you won't move until the end.” “Not to worry,” I said, “you can count on me.” It was a big oval-shaped room, there was an oval table, and about the same kind of chairs that you find in the spacecrafts. There was nobody, and then suddenly, someone appeared. And it continued, there was nobody, and suddenly someone. I don't know how many seats there were, but there were quite a few. So the people, they were human beings, with yellow skin, red skin, black skin, people who looked like Chinese, people who looked like Indian tribes.
Year Long Stay at ET Base By Marc Ryo
And in the middle of the table, just above it, a huge ball, like a ball of light, and you could see different solar systems. At one point I thought I saw a planet where three suns were evolving, and the Biologist who was next to me, she was probably afraid that I'd move or make a scene, she said to me, “You see, Roro, the Universe, it's fantastic.” Sometimes the people looked at each other, they didn't speak. You could also see people in the sphere who looked like they were communicating with people in the room who were sitting in their seats. There were times when some of them spoke with a guttural voice (imitates the sound), I didn't understand anything! And to see this big ball with the solar systems on the inside, I never saw anything like it again, it was magnificent, magnificent. It's true that the universe - you can see it's so much more beautiful and we are so much more than we can possibly think. We are absolutely extraordinary beings, the human race is extaordinary.
What else did they tell me? Something I want to emphasize, the fact that our own planet, it's not just ours. “You know, Roro,” they said, “you say that there are different ethnic groups, different races - No! There is one human race. People of color, with red skin, etc., they are varieties of the human race, but there is one human race in the universe. Of course, there are other races, but they don't have the same characteristics as the human race. They're just as intelligent, just as respectable.” They also told me that they belonged to a sort of federation, a huge galactic federation where there are directors of planets, directors of solar systems. For the less-advanced systems, we don't speak about directors, but people who supervise. I understood that our planet was watched over continuously, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. When I came back, it was right at the time of the trip to the moon. I learned that when I got back, because they hadn't talked to me about it. I learned that we had been on the moon in 1969. In the 70's I often listened to the radio or TV programs and I saw scientists who said: there is only the earth, we are a unique experience, there is no other life in the universe, it doesn't exist. Other scientists, there was one, a commentator whose name I don't remember, who said, “We're certainly going to make bases on the moon, we're going to send spaceships there, and since there's less gravity there, we're going to launch from there” etc. etc. The Guide told me: “You are conquerors, you are warriors. The leaders of your planet, civil or military, they are conquerors, they are go -getters, they are mentally ill. (He used this term “mentally ill”.) “You need to understand, as long as you go round in circles on your planet, we're going to let you go round. But when it comes to going elsewhere, we'll prevent you.” He looked at me and I guarantee he was serious. It seemed like it posed a problem for him. “We'll prevent you!” And so it didn't surprise me, when the Americans and the Russians wanted to construct bases on the moon I knew very well that they wouldn't. And time proved I was right. We never went there again.
GD: So he wanted to say that it if our leaders weren't so aggressive, they would agree to contact with us?
So where are these bases?
RL: Yes, certain races, not them because they're far away in another galaxy, but there are other people of the human race in our galaxy who are members of the federation who have asked certain governments of Earth if they needed help. “We can help you.” The governments said no. The governments also prohibited the publication of anything, the circulation of any information concerning other races in the universe. So what do these races do? It's very simple, they show themselves to the population. They go around and when we see them, they leave. They do it gradually, but more intensely as the years go by. They go across the Earth, and that's what seems to be the case now, as far as the testimonies I've heard. To get back to the scientists that I heard, I thought either they don't know anything, “discount” scientists as I like to call them, or they've been told not to reveal anything. There are two solutions. I think that the scientists aren't idiots, people who study the sky with telescopes, they're not idiots, or maybe they don't allow themselves to give out any information. Concerning the trip to France aboard the spacecraft. It was October 27th, the day before the Biologist asked me, “Would you like to go on an excursion? We're going to take a trip to France.” I said why not. “So tomorrow we'll come to get you, and you'll be able to come, we'll go for a ride.” And the next day we took the elevator up to the platform, and there was a spacecraft, apparently it wasn't exactly touching the ground. So I approached it, there was the Biologist in the back, the Ethnologist to the side, and when I wanted to get in the spacecraft, there were people inside. So she pushed me, “No, no don't be afraid, get in, nothing will happen to you. We're going for a ride and we'll be back.” There were different people, there was the pilot, there was a tall man who wasn't smiling; all at once I felt he looked mean. This one's going to eat me alive, what's going to happen to me? He was looking all around. He seemed to be feeling all the people around him. At one point he looked at me, and he looked away. The door closed, there was no metal at the bottom, it was glass, so I could see the platform. Then suddenly, I saw the Earth moving away rapidly. As we weren't moving, I thought I was going to vomit. And then I looked at the interior and saw the instruments. The man said to me, “We're above Italy. We're going down to 33,000 feet, reducing speed to about 600 miles per hour, and there you'll see two French fighter jets. We're going to approach them.” Then the spacecraft became transparent, like we were in a glass bubble. And he said, “Look.” I saw the jet which was far away, and then suddenly it was there, we flew down and got behind the plane, a Mirage. Then I could see its instrumental panel appear on our screen, like something on a computer! And the Guide said, the instrumental panel is displayed, that’s good.
The first is at Mt. Perdido is in the Pyrnees Mountains, between France and Spain. 'A famous set of caves in the Pyrenees have ancient drawings of ancient astronauts and flying spacecraft,' Atwater explained. 'And there have been a number of sightings here.' Mt. Perdido, aka Mt. Perdu, is 3,352 m, 11,007 ft. high and is the third highest mountain in the Pyrenees. It's about a quarter inch west of Andorra. Price reported that the main base was protected around a 2-mile perimeter with detectors. Several craft were in the launch recovery area and had what looked like an electromagnetic field propulsion system. Price's next underground base location is Mt. Inyangani, the highest mountain (2,592 m, 8,503 ft) in Zimbabwe, formerly Rhodesia, Africa. 'Actually, it's more of a maintenance and tech center,' Price viewed. 'This base looks like overhaul and maintenance unit. I see lots of spare equipment. Parts are being welded in a vacuum area with window area then parts are fused. A grayish white powder is pasted on both parts then fused.' His attention was drawn to unit that several were working on. It is a tubular grid system 'for ionizing a layer of air.'
So we passed it on the right, ascended to its level, about 200 feet away. We were going at the same speed, then we passed over it and under it, following it. At one point I saw the pilot who turned his head slightly to the right, so he saw us. And I saw two letters on the plane: FB. I remembered that. And the Guide wanted that imprinted in my mind. I looked, and because he wanted me to look, I tried not to look. Then the plane turned slightly to the right, towards us, like it was coming toward us. And suddenly I saw the plane become like a point. The Guide Page 26

So where are these bases?
The next site is at Mt. Hayes, Alaska. It appears to be a weather and geological center and has similar security measures to prevent discovery. He described 'computer equipment' and followed leads on an 'oscilloscope' which led to a small box like structure which contained rotational antenna that sat on top of a mountain peak. The receiver seemed to be part of a detection system.
said, “If we hadn't left, the plane would have encrusted itself in the energy field of our spacecraft and it would have gone, like confetti, in a single second.” And I said, “What if they'd shot at us?” “There's no problem, because when the energy field is on, no element, solid, liquid or gas can penetrate the spacecraft. However, we don't have the right to destroy a vessel. If we destroy one, we would be severely reproached by our hierarchy.” So I understood that there would be sanctions. I understood that when a jet followed them, they preferred to escape rather than destroy the vessel. They're very respectful of the human race here. Where they’re from, they don't destroy their people, even if they're not from their home.
'If they were discovered,' Price wrote, 'personnel are deployed physically in activity to make sure of failure of that certain project. This site has also been responsible for strange activity and malfunction of US and Soviet space projects.'
To get back to the races, they told me there is the human race, the cat is a race, the dog is a race, the cow is a race. But they're different. There are cats with long hair, cats with short hair. There are big ones, others that are small, with dogs it's the same. And the dog race is not the wolf race even though they look alike. So I understood that we here on Earth, we have wars because we detest other groups, ethnic or otherwise, even though we all belong to the human race.
Atwater suggested that if a probe was launched over this part of Alaska, that it might be interfered in some way, to prevent detection of the Mt. Hayes base.
GD: If you hadn't met these people, you would have remained an “uninformed” farmer in Aveyron. A long family tradition, in fact things changed when you came back.
'It comes to mind that these 'people' have infiltrated all government in sensitive positions, not to control government, the processes or people, but rather to be in positions of power to stop politically any activity that may produce a result that could cause discovery.'
RL: It's true that I was destined to take over the farm. They said, instead of working the soil, you're going to work with other humans. It happened somewhat later, but it happened. My father and I were ready to sign for the succession of the farm, and I refused. I disappointed my father. But he finally understood, and it's true it was a big disappointment. I did a little construction work, and then made a request to train as a health care assistant at the Rodez hospital, and that's how I began there. I wanted to work in the geriatric ward because I was fascinated with death. It came from experiences I had with them, it didn't come from me but from a machine they had. They could exteriorize the true being from the physical body. That helps me a lot at the moment. I'm not afraid. You can see your physical body lying down somewhere when you're just beside it, for example. Or sit on your own lap. That seems funny, doesn't it! So I worked at the Rodez hospital. I saw a lot of people die and it allowed me to see how people feel when they pass over, what the people saw at the moment of transition. It's very special. Maybe I helped some people, reassuring them. Because “leaving the body” is very peculiar. Sometimes the transition phase happens very quickly, sometimes it lasts a long time, people are in comas. I studied the intermediate stages a lot. It's what they asked me to do, too. I worked on it because I understood that sharing these moments and intermediate states was extremely important. I open a door, I try to see where I'm at in a hall, I'm between two systems, I stay there, what does it mean when I stay there and don't move? It's the fear of moving forward, the fear of the unknown. And once the people have passed and have regrouped, they're happier than the people who stay. I saw a person one day, someone showed me, it was an image someone brought back to me when I was in India, they showed me a man who was going to die, in Africa. They said, observe what's going to happen. The man's anxiety, he felt he was going to die, he was very ill, he
Page 27
Phenomena Magazine: November 2012 - Issue 43: www.mapit.kk5.org
was terrified, maybe it's that way with everybody, we're so afraid. There was his African family grouped together and then, he left his body. I saw him afterward, he said, “It's fantastic! I'm living.” And he saw his body, and you know what he did? He burst out laughing, “My God, it's incredible, it's fantastic”, and to his family he said “you deal with it” and he was gone. GD: Getting back to your life at the base. You could see your parents' house. Thanks to the work of JeanClaude Venturini, we could verify that the base site was true, for example concerning the timing of the meals. Can you explain how you could see your parents' house when you were there? RL: Yes, I told them I wanted to know what my parents were up to, so they installed a device for me that looked like an eye. There were three buttons. I didn't touch them much because I'm not very good at electronics, I was afraid of breaking it and would have to call them and they'd be pissed off. I saw from above, I saw their car. I only had to approach and I could see what was happening inside the house. I saw my parents eating. One day I even saw them fighting. I thought, no way - at their age? There was a big tree. They told me that they had put some sort of device on this tree. I saw the town, a little bit above the roofs, as if it was raised a bit. It's true that changed my life. It wasn't always easy, there were times I was anxious and lonely, too. I felt pretty isolated. One or two years after my return from India, I was at a local festival, there was a guy at Villefranche de Rouergue who had a Citroën DS (French luxury car). “Leave your car here and let's go to Caussade, there's a nightclub there, we can dance.” I said why not. I didn't know this guy very well. So we went dancing. However, I didn't drink alcohol and he didn't either. After that we came back, everything cool, it was about one in the morning, and suddenly there was a huge shock. I was lost in thought, and he hit his head on the steering wheel or I don't know what, his nose was bleeding, the headlights were on, and he said, “I don't know what's happening, the car stopped all of a sudden.” Me, I hadn't touched anything, so we got out of the car and we moved ahead to see what was lighting up the headlights of the DS. There was a drop of about 100 feet, and we were about a yard away from it! I looked at him. At first I didn't feel the shock, nothing was wrong with me. He looked at me, stepped back about a yard like he was going to fall. He said, “I'm afraid of you. You drive, you drive, I don't want to drive anymore.” So I drove his car and we went back. He said, “I don't ever want to see you again. I don't know who you are, I'm afraid of you.” I wasn't aware of making him afraid. I was just looking at him, I didn't even tell him we just about got ourselves killed. Nothing. I don't know what happened there. We were really just stopped suddenly, and he cracked I'm telling you. GD: I'd like to go back to a certain point. When you invited us, at first it surprised me, you said you had received the authorization to receive all three of us. As soon as we arrived, you gave us the famous message. Now you can't say that you had a university education, and this message was so well-written with hardly any mistakes, where exactly did it come from, how did you do it? RL: Yes, it was a pretty long message, to describe like that a whole year's experience, I wasn't sure how to
Year Long Stay at ET Base By Marc Ryo
do it. I felt more and more pressured to do it so I got behind the computer, and not a word, not one word, a total vacuum. I didn't know what I was going to write. And when I opened Word, I was ready to type, and suddenly the words came, it happened really fast, I didn't re-read anything, and I had to keep up. I don't type very fast, I'm not very good at it. Sometimes I wondered what I was going to write, I had an idea, then it was gone. Then it came back and it came back and it came back. I worked for about twenty minutes, it went really fast and then suddenly it stopped. I reread it and I thought, this corresponds to what I experienced. It was done directly, even though I didn't have any idea how to organize it. GD: You could see the page that I presented, it's structured, it's all like that. There's the “Biologist”, the “Ethnologist”, every one with his own part, and it gives an idea about how they conceive their society, the way they live, and it's very instructive. Anyway, it came to you like that, it's very surprising. We received this paper, like this, it's he who wrote it, like under the influence.
gave me this compensation and where it came from. The Guide said, “There are people here on Earth, smaller, who look like human beings and work in military bases, or in high technology companies who have salaries. And we're organised on the planet.” 27,000 francs at the time, it wasn't bad! With that I bought a car, it was a Ford, I still drive a Ford, I remained loyal to the make! Q: Have you kept contact with them over the last 40 years, and what is the contact like? Does everyone speak French? RL: When I was with the Biologist, the Ethnologist and the Guide, they spoke to me in French. I noted often that they communicated with each other without speaking at all. Sometimes with maintenance people there was a “Hi there”, a smile, but nothing more.
RL: Yes, that's true, to find words like that I'd be surprised, and I've practically forgotten, I'll have to do it again. I wouldn't be able to do it again.
So where are these bases?
Another site is Mt. Ziel, a personnel center, in Australia's Northern Territory. 'It is interesting that this unit appears to have the most personnel. There are personnel from the other three sites here, like a rest and recreation area.' For a few moments, Price felt slightly disoriented and decided they had detected him so he led them to Melbourne. Price returned to the site and saw vehicles from the other bases, with each having different ID marks that correspond to each site's different functions. 'Mt. Ziel had personnel for all bases and is the homosapiens introduction point.' he observed. Price also noted that the site should be approached with caution and that the area was under alert at that moment.
GD: Buy the book! (Laughter). Open Questions from the audience. Q: What was it like when you returned home? RL: I'd lost the habit of life on the farm, so a few weeks before I left I was anxious. The day came, there was the Biologist, the Ethnologist, the Guide, we came back, to the same field, practically the same place, I'd say even to the millimeter. I was getting out, the Guide gave me an envelope, a yellow envelope from the post office. “You take this, it's a compensation for the work you did there.” And I gave the two women a kiss. I almost had tears in my eyes because they had been so nice. It hurt to leave these people. So I went back up to the farm, and when I arrived in the front yard, my father was waiting for me! I was surprised, I had expected to find the door locked, I thought I was going to have to sleep in the hay, no big deal. “I received a letter yesterday saying you'd be back today about 10:30pm.” “Oh really,” I said, “it wasn't me who sent you the letter.” It's the same thing, I should have saved the letter to see where it came from. It's incredible. Or they have a way of making you forget things. GD: Your father knew about the voyage, but your mother didn't, you told her something. RL: Yes, my mother, I told her before I left for the Cave - I wasn't going to tell my mother that I was going to leave with some extra-terrestrials, she'd have a heart attack, the poor lady! So I told her that I was going to work in Paris and that I wouldn't stay in touch, I wouldn't write because I wouldn't have the time. So she believed that I went to work in Paris for the SNCF (train company) or somewhere. I told my father that I was leaving with them, and he wasn't surprised. But I have the impression that my father also had more experience than he would admit. He seemed like he was “in the know” about certain things.
Q: Do you feel protected since your return? And what was their feeling about the future of the planet, did they see anything positive or negative about its future? RL: We spoke about it a little. What they said is that we were in the process of destroying our beautiful planet. Now looking back, and now I'm speaking from the present moment, our planet is going to take a deep breath, like it's done maybe for thousands of years. A planet breathes, it lives, it hears. Sometimes I hear it, I listen to it, because if we want to get in contact with the universe, we have to know how to listen, and above all to be quiet. We have to distance ourselves from noise. It's then that you'll see that birds come to you, animals come to you, even aggressive animals, they'll come to you without hurting you. And I feel that the planet is in the process of taking a deep breath, and by taking this breath, it's something I sense deeply, this breath will come out of its center and it's going to rise, which means that tectonic plates are going to move, and there'll be repercussions on the surface of the planet. It sounds weird, a planet that breathes, that lives. It hears, we can send it our thoughts, in a way we can say it's a mother, it's our mother.
GD: And what was in the envelope? RL: There were 100 franc bills in the envelope, 27,000 francs worth (5,000 dollars). I asked them why they
Q: How do you feel about the possibility that you are the father of hybrid children on other planets? And what did you eat at the base? Page 28

Is any of this true? Atwater looked at Price's data and asked 'Is any of this true?' After reviewing the file, Atwater conferred with Puthoff. Puthoff told Atwater that a colleague of his knew northern Australia's CIA station chief and had decided to call him and ask what was going on. The colleague called and asked 'Hey, is there anything unusual going on down there?' The station chief answered 'No, this is a dead assignment, nothing is going on other than all those UFO's flying around Mt. Ziel.' Atwater now oversaw a cadre of skilled remote viewers and needed challenge targets. In 1982, he pulled Puthoff's file from his drawer and thought 'Here are some interesting targets to look at. What would happen if I used these as training targets? If they tell me that there is UFO stuff there, it will corroborate what Pat Price said.' Atwater emphasizes that this targeting was his idea, that there was no CIA or military tasking. He was a military officer in a military unit using his own challenge targets to test and evaluate the viewers he was training to see how they were progressing. As such, the challenge targets were viewed under strict protocol. In July, 1982, Atwater gave Joe McMoneagle a challenge target of Mt. Hayes. 'I've never seen anything like it' he began. 'It's like walking into a place I have no familiarity with at all. It's not just something you describe. It's all brand new. There's a desolate open range of mountains.' McMoneagle perceived a mountainous location with underground tubes and tunnels and ball shaped objects. 'The whole thing is underground and is powered by like an atomic power plant. I have seen something and don't have the rudimentary terms to describe it,' McMoneagle continued. According to McMoneagle 'This is a prototype of something. I don't get an aggressive nature to this target. I don't sense the presence of individuals at the target.' McMoneagle went on to draw some radio type of intercept things.
RL: I don't know. I guess I refuse to think about it, I don't know. They gave me this information, they never gave me the means to verify it. So what we ate at the base, it was a kind of food made from little marbles which could be chewed easily. There were some that had the taste of meat, of grains, that were pretty good to eat. It was pretty nourishing because I didn't feel hungry. How it was manufactured, I don't know. Q: Why did this happen to you in particular? RL: Why me and not someone else? Rest assured, I don't think I'm the only one, others have maybe had different experiences. It's not the same for everybody. A lot of people don't want to talk about it. Me, I was asked to do so. If I hadn't I wouldn't be here tonight. If they hadn't ask me to give the message forty years later, I wouldn't have said anything. Maybe I also thought that if I refused to follow their orders, what would happen to me? After all, they were so insistent, I figured maybe it was best to carry it through to the end. I have the idea that I'm not afraid of death, but well... Q: I respect your story, the only thing I want to say is that the message you say you received, a lot of people on this planet of which you are a part say they have received the message by contemplation, spirituality, meditation. So what is special about your experience? RL: I don't know. Maybe it's up to you to tell me. Maybe by circulating the information in different ways, either by books, meetings or other ways, maybe it can touch other people. Q: Regarding what my wife just said, do you take yourself for an “Initiated”? RL: Initiated in what? No, not at all. I'm not an initiated in anything. It's a term I don't even understand. How do I see it? Life is an evolution. The human race must evolve. I was asked to do a job, I wasn't asked to act like God the Father or anything else. I was asked to work. To work in order to advance. We're going to talk about components made from certain spheres, when we access it, and when we feel it, broad spheres, not superior spheres - superior compared to what? It's about raising the consciousness, it's far from being sufficient. It begins there. After, there's all the rest, there's not only that. Evolution in the universe, it's not only that. GD: You have to remember that Robert was chosen for his genetic qualities, and did a favor. They did him a favor too, by giving him exceptional health, by making him aware that humanity, our humanity, needs to be rethought on other levels, and that later he could communicate his experience, which is certainly limited, but which could contribute later to the awakening of all our consciousness. It doesn't go any further. Q: Concerning the different stages of life. I think you said that there were 7 or 9 stages, can you elaborate on this a bit? RL: Yes, there are 12 stages of 7 years each. 7 times 12 that makes 84. There are 3 stages up to the age of 21 which allow us to advance, then there are the stages when we're sort of cast out to life, where we construct our life, our house, we have children, we raise them, etc. and then life, from 63 to 84, during these 21 years we must consolidate our lives and think about our future if
Page 29

you like, make an assessment of our life, try to grow, because we have the time on the mental level, that's why since I was 63 I began to work a little on mental yoga, the mental yoga that they also taught me. They taught me more or less what to do when I was in India, they said this part you won't do until you have retired. So, since we're on the subject let me elaborate: given the fact that the body becomes old, this form of mental yoga allows you to be able to expand a bit to another part of the universe, you exteriorize your personal self so to speak the true “being” of your physical body. I had special exercises. They also showed me that it could be extremely dangerous-they could lead you of course to good results, but also to dangerous results if badly practiced. They showed me at the time how far you could go, what happened after a certain exercise, what happened after another exercise. But obviously these exercises, I can't say what they were because I don't have the authority to reveal it, could cause more bad than good. But it can show us when we practice it, that we humans are absolutely phenomenal, fantastic, and there's no end to freedom. If we have constraints, it's we who create them, we constrain ourselves to stay where we are. I'll give you a little exercise I'm doing at the moment. You try improve your memory. I do visualization, then I maintain the thought in my head, give energy to the thought, and then project the thought. A while ago I wanted to make an experiment at Villefranche de Rouergue by a big supermarket, just to verify if this technique worked. Maybe you'll say it's not very honest what I did, but I didn't do anything wrong to anyone. I picked out a woman coming out of the store and a friend of hers was waiting in the car. So she came out to go to the car. I projected the thought, “You're not going to go to the car, you're going to go back to the store”. And how surprised I was (I had injected this thought as hard as I could) this woman turned around and went back in the store. And when she was back inside, I thought, “Now you're going to turn around and go back to the car.” She went about ten feet, then she turned around and went back to the car. And I said, “Now you're going to go around the car.” And she went around the car, and said to her friend (I wasn't very far away and could hear), “My God, my head is spinning, I don't know what's wrong with me.” So I said to myself, I'll never do this again. Do you understand how far we can go? It's great but you have to be careful-you put these exercises in the hands of people and you see what you could do. I did another experiment with a friend I had seen at the UFO Meeting in Châlons. This time I was in particularly good shape. I said to myself, “Okay, you're sitting here on this chair, and you're going to place your body, you're going to eject yourself from it and try to go meet him.” I don't even know where he lives, but I visualized his town, and lo and behold one day this man writes to Georges Metz: “I don't know what happened to me, I was in a waiting room at the doctor's and I saw Roro, I saw him with red eyes that looked at me, and I was afraid.” And after that he was looking for me everywhere. Apparently I had evaporated like a hare, because when I realized that he was terrified, I got out of there. So two experiments to show you just how dangerous it can be, because humanity isn't ready for this. But that being said, a lot of people do it. Q: I'd like to ask about their physical aspect. You said they were very tall, and also, in your opinion where did they come from? RL: They said they came from a neighboring galaxy.
Year Long Stay at ET Base By Marc Ryo
Maybe it's been detected by now, I don't know, but at the time, they said the galaxy they came from wasn't known to our scientists. As to their appearance, they looked more or less like us, they were white, about six and a half feet tall, except for the arms which are longer than ours. And the eyes were like our Japanese or Chinese, but not horizontal like us, they were slightly slanted.
They told me, as long as your behavior is aggressive, as long as you want to finance things at all costs, as long as you want to destroy your world, you will destroy it. And since you are capable of destroying another, we have to keep an eye on you. Q: Do you think they have already been introduced into certain milieus, that they're already on the Earth?
Q: They had hair? RL: Yes, they had hair.
RL: Absolutely, I think that everybody is aware of that. Yes, the military knows about it.
Q: The women too? Were they pretty?
Q: Do they spy, do they observe? Do they report things?
RL: Oh yes, very beautiful. I almost fell in love. (Laughter).
RL: Yes, but you know, they have the means. I won't get into it, no, I don't have the authority to reveal any information.
GD: At one point they described how their engines functioned and there's an explanation in the book for what it's worth, it's good, they try to explain fairly indepth how their spaceships work and the different types they use. RL: Yes, that's right I asked them about that because they are spacecraft which can remain in the air without limit. They made me a drawing and explained that under the spaceship there is a big circle with two rings, rotating in opposite directions. That produces energy, enough for an atomic bomb. They said it was unlimited. They said that their technicians could remove the engine in my Peugeot in less than an hour and replace it with a little box much smaller than the engine. I could then drive around without gas as long as it worked, and when my car finally broke down, the little box would still work. Q: It's the principal of free energy?
Q: Why wait 40 years to deliver your message? RL: Because if I had delivered it at the time, with certain things I would maybe have been committed to an insane asylum.
Further Details: Atwater is the author of 'Captain of My Ship, Master of My Soul' and is an internationally acclaimed speaker. He was personally hired by Robert Monroe in June, 1988 and he currently works as the Research Director for the Monroe Institute: monroeinstitute.org Joe McMoneagle runs his own Remote Viewing company Intuitive Intelligence Applications at mceagle.com, has written MIND TREK, The Ulitimate Time Machine, Remote Viewing Secrets and THE STARGATE CHRONICLES: Memoirs of a Psychic Spy. He most recently astounded Japanese police by Remote Viewing a woman in her apartment who'd been missing for 27 years. Mel Riley lives a quiet life in a remote part of the mid-west, is involved with Native American culture, participates in pow wows and is Vice-Commander of the Mohican Veterans.
Q: So for 40 years, what contacts have you had? RL: No, I already said, I haven’t had any contact, but I had another way of working. Understand who will! Q: When you say they forbid us from leaving the planet, it's a bit strange, because what's happening at the moment with the space station, and we've gone from the nuclear threat of the last 50 years to, just the contrary, a brotherly collaboration if you will with our advanced technology. So what is the danger, what would be the danger for others?
RL: I don't know what it's called. Q: How can they come from so far away? RL: They come from so far because they said they don't travel in a straight line, they don't like straight lines. They said they were more clever than that, they pass through a kind of corridor. They said if it's rather long, you can compress time, you go backwards and that allows you to arrive in the amount of time you want and much faster.
RL: You would need to explain what happened at the American nuclear site. So while in space there's a third dimension, God that is, and it's like—I think if they had let us, the military, the scientists, do what we wanted, I think there would be a lot of damage and maybe we'd have a hard time eating.
RL: A typical day of work-in the morning I washed and had breakfast. We had a session of yoga, then I went for a walk. We discussed things, they taught me things, I think I forgot most of it, I should have noted it down.
GD: There's an indirect proof of this surveillance, you explained to us in the book, that they wouldn't hesitate to neutralize the American and Russian atomic sites. Now there was a conference not long ago in Washington where high-ranking military explained that this happened. We already knew it, but they admitted it in a press conference and so I think that it's clear that this surveillance is really happening and even in France, near Plateau d'Albion, there is very strong testimony to the same effect.
Q: Their writing? Their alphabet?
Q: So that’s it-there won't be any more conflict!
RL: No, I only saw the sign, a symbol you could say, it's in the book. No, I don't have a response for everything. In fact I believed that there were other people, too. I even asked them if they'd contacted a lot of people. They said that the Federation had contacted about 300,000 people on the planet at the time.
RL: I don't know. This is how I see it: it’s true there are wars, conflicts, and as long as we are still limited, it’s not bothering them too much but they see that we are capable of destroying ourselves, so what else are we capable of destroying? You only destroy the physical support. When somebody dies, he's taken care of, because we're not capable. They talked to me about the Second World War, there were millions of dead, people die all the time. It's the physical support. Humanity lacks humility, because we always want to analyze things, even judge what happens in the beyond, with our knowledge which has been extremely out of date for a long time. We have nothing to do with their science, with their technology,
Q: A simple question: one year is a long time. What was your typical day like?
Q: So what are the consequences for humanity? RL: I think that what I'm going to say, everyone can sense it-that we're under surveillance 24 hours a day, that they're watching us, they prevent us from doing certain things, they prevent us from going into space I think.

with their spirituality. This is the big problem of human beings on Earth. Our economic system only functions if we produce more, we're consumers, we have to consume, if we don't consume the system collapses. Their organization isn't like that. That's why we search for shale oil, that's why we drill holes in the planet, that's why we bleed it to death, and that's why after a while it starts to get sick of it. It's going to take a deep breath. You'll see how humanity's going to be ejected. Q: But maybe they'll help us in that case? Why don't they give us the key if they have it? RL: The key! It's simple-we are the key-it's up to our leaders to see to it that the system is abandoned. The system isn't good. Another thing I noticed that no one talks about, no one will talk to you about it, even me I shouldn't talk about it. Q: Excuse me, I'd like to make a remark because you say that the extra-terrestrials that you met don't want us to leave the planet to go elsewhere because of our past and our psychology, our defects if you will. So we know as well as the American cosmonauts who talked about it 40 years later that we're not welcome on the moon, but at the same time, they come to get human genetic material to implant it on other planets, so they're sure to bring them war and destruction. I don't understand. RL: It's not complicated, the physical body-it's genetics, but the spirit that lives in the physical body is maybe completely different. The mind-set, the mentality, it's up to each one to build it, to modify it. Q: Do you have the spirit of a warrior? RL: Yes. It's up to each one to modify his or herself, you have to begin by knowing yourself, by changing yourself, by studying yourself. Is my way of projecting myself in the universe, my manner of living, of relating to others going to produce a negative effect-we can expand on that for hours. Q: At one point you spoke of transit, can you say a bit more about changing one's state of consciousness? RL: I think the people need it explained to them. There's a lack, because you have to work on the mental-that demands a lot of technique which I learned. I was talking awhile ago about the level of concentration and the projection of thought, so it demands work. You have to look at what you're doing, and that can be dangerous during a transit or a trip. If you want to project your mental body into your true body, there'll be a loss of energy in the physical body, that means there's a transfer. After a certain time, you'll arrive at a point zero. I call it the “zero point. At the zero point you have a false energy in the mental body, and practically none in the physical body. So if you want to move your arm, your arm won't move because there's no energy left, you understand, so it causes panic, if there is panic in the energy, the heart accelerates or slows down and you risk a heart attack, you risk death. I learned to work with this in India. It's not a joke. There are people who ask me to teach it to them; no, I can't, not only am I not authorized to do so, I wouldn't do it. As much as it's effective, if it's badly done it's dangerous. Even I am very, very careful, especially with others because you have to respect people, respect who they are. If you go to their home like that, we don't go to people's homes incognito. We can move Page 31
Phenomena Magazine: November 2012 - Issue 43: www.mapit.kk5.org
around in the universe, all over the place, you get information, but it's the silence. I've become a servant of silence. Q: Do you have other revelations concerning the near future, and your mission? RL: That will depend on the evolution of humanity, it will depend if there are conflicts, if the planet starts moving, it won't depend just on me. At the moment, maybe there will be thousands of people who are going to stand up to calm and improve the human condition. I have to say it. If not, with a simple ball an inch or so in diameter, they can destroy all life on the planet in less than fifteen minutes. You know they won't do it. It's not their role and they don't have the right anyway. That's not done anymore, maybe it was done millions of years ago when there were a lot of planets in the development phase. Now there are a lot of planets which are in a state of great evolution and all that, all those wars are finished.
Zero-point energy. This is the lowest possible energy that a quantum mechanical physical system may have; it is the energy of its ground state. All quantum mechanical systems undergo fluctuations even in their ground state and have an associated zero-point energy, a consequence of their wave-like nature. The uncertainty principle requires every physical system to have a zero-point energy greater than the minimum of its classical potential well, even at absolute zero. For example, liquid helium does not freeze under atmospheric pressure at any temperature because of its zero-point energy.

Q: Unless I'm wrong, all during your speech you made reference to the scientific community, so I would like to know if at the time that you saw the spacecraft on your property behind the house, and when for example they arrived in your room, did you note the hour, some details, etc.? At the place where this cigar thing touched down, was the scientific community aware of it, did they come, were any measurements taken? You yourself saw the grass crushed. You said that it was very hot, so maybe a burn?
RL: No, nothing.
“Ovnis en France” (UFOs in France), ©2012 by Georges Metz published by Editions Interkeltia, France Includes an in-depth report on the Robert L. Affair.
RL: No, I never thought of looking for all that. Q: When you were in discussion with these people, you spoke a lot about life, but according to them, is there life after death? RL: Yes, of course. It's simply-even religions say it, it's a bit crude-it's the separation of the spirit from the body. What is the spirit, it's the true being. When we expand our circle we are absolutely marvelous beings. We have to work first of all. It will come in good time. You realize it took me forty years. We're not far. Scientists are not far now from creating a device which permits you to follow along as the mental body and the true body separate. I think we're not far off. In what year are they going to do that-in 30 years? Maybe in 30 years the human race will have advanced. You know at the time they told me we were so aggressive we were going to destroy ourselves, they were obliged to intervene simultaneously at Russian and American nuclear bases. Q: Did your visitors give you any information about 2012?
