EDITORIAL One of the staples of New Age thought are angels, those ethereal, blond, winged entities that are supposed to be there for our help and protection…except that they are not. The New Ager’s seem to have divorced angels from religion and adapted them into something quite different from their original role. It’s a fair bet that what the New Age gurus who claim to contact angels (and who knows, some of them just might be in contact with ‘something’) have nothing to do with any ‘Creator God’. It’s the same with quartz crystals and all the rest of the paraphernalia that are part of the New Age mind-set. They forget that what they preach (and sometimes even practise) has been around for millennia in various forms, all started with the shamans. If anyone is looking to get some mysticism into your life, hook up with a shaman, you’ll learn more about spirituality from one of these remarkable people than 100 New Age charlatans, and here’s the real kicker… it’ll cost you a lot less as well!

Nazi UFOs: By John Ventre

In 1938, Hitler sent his SS agents to Antarctica, Argentina and Chile to search for the Vril-ya and purchase a swatch of land as a fallback plan for WWII. Hitler was heavily involved in the occult, astrology and ancient relics and interacted with the Vril and Thule societies. The Thule Society was founded in 1918 and focused on the origins of the Aryan race. The Vril Society was founded in 1921 by a group of female psychic mediums and was led by Maria Orsic. Maria claimed to have met with Aryan aliens from the Aldebaran space system who claim to have settled ancient Samaria. Maria also claimed to be able to channel information on constructing an anti-gravity craft and was in communication with Hitler. The Thule and Vril Societies received official state backing from Hitler in 1933 and in 1942 fell under the authority of the SS. In 1938 Hitler also started his research into the “Bell” project in Czechoslovakia. Testing at this site killed five scientists and all depleted chlorophyll in plant life. In 1945 Hitler ordered the killing of 62 scientists, engineers and prisoners that worked at the site. In 1929, Admiral Byrd was the first person to fly over Antarctica and map it. In 1938 retired Admiral Byrd was invited to Hamburg Germany to tell of his Antarctica exploits. Hitler then laid his plans for “NeuSchwabenland” or New Germany in Antarctica. The Germans proceeded to map the continent from the air and discovered areas free of ice, warm water lakes and numerous cave openings. One ice cave extended 30 miles into a geothermal lake. Hitler believed this would lead to contact with the Vril-ya race and started construction of underground bases. A second base was built in the Argentinean Andes. The Germans built eight large cargo submarines that were used to transport construction materials to Antarctica. These eight subs were never located after WWII. Also gone were 100 German U-boats. Two U-boats, 530 and 977, were captured carrying 96 barrels of red mercury, which is used for antigravity experiments, and members of their antigravity-disk research and development team. Juan Peron of Argentina also issued 1000 patterns to Nazi scientists. The Germans were on the verge of fantastic discoveries with the Vril Series V-7 in 1945 and needed a few more months to extend the war but obviously lost. The Russians and Americans were then in a race to acquire the German technology. The Americans formed Operation Paperclip where 2000 German scientists, engineers and Officers were given immunity and homes and salaries to work for the U.S. Military and NASA. Wernher von Braun was the most famous of these scientists. Hans Kammler was in charge of these special projects and he loaded his JU390 large transport plane with many special project 04

plans and took off at the end of WWII. This plane was capable of flying 6000 miles without refueling. Many believe he turned over his findings to the U.S. in exchange for immunity since he was never tried or mentioned in the Nuremburg trials.

German Secret Weapons Hitler's forces flew the first military jet, the German Heinkel 178, in 1939. In 1943 the Germans also deployed the only jet fighter to go into regular service during the war: The Messerschmitt 262. This ME-262 could easily overtake the fastest Allied aircraft and only Hitler's misguided orders that the planes be outfitted as bombers instead of defensive fighters saved Allied aircraft from devastating casualties. Cruise missiles, a staple of current advanced arsenals, were also first used by the Third Reich during the war. V-1 flying bombs were launched from German-held territories across the channel into England. The "buzz bombs," as they were sometimes called because of the sound of their impulse jet engines, could outrun most Allied aircraft, making the V-1's almost impossible to stop. The V-1's weakness was its guidance system (a problem solved in modern cruise missiles by the use of computer-controlled radar). Because it couldn't hit a pinpoint target, the V-1 could only be used to cause random terror and not zero in on truly important military assets. The German V-2 rocket was the predecessor of the intercontinental ballistic missiles (ICBMs) that filled the nuclear arsenals of the Soviet Union and the United States during the Cold War. It travelled up to 225 miles at five times the speed of sound and a single hit could demolish a city block. During the war, the V-2 killed 2724 civilians and injured another 6467. Like the V-1, though, it lacked a guidance system that would have allowed it to effectively strike at important targets.

In August 1946, Navy Secretary James Forrestal initiated Operation High Jump, which in December sent Admiral Byrd, 13 vessels including the aircraft carrier USS Philippine and 4700 troops to Antarctica for a 6-8 month mission that lasted just two months. In March of 1947, Admiral Byrd was quoted in the Chile “El Murcurio” newspaper as saying to Lee van Atta that in case of a new war, the continental U.S. would be attacked by flying objects which could fly from pole to pole at incredible speeds. Many believe that Admiral Byrd’s mission was turned back prematurely by these same craft. Interestingly this Antarctic location falls directly on the South Magnetic Pole.

In 1957, Australians discovered a 16mm film of the German V-7 project. It showed an operational disc craft. The Antarctic Treaty is signed where no military operations in the Antarctic would be allowed until the year 2000. In 2003, seismic activity at Lake Vostok indicated military activity. Some people believe the modern UFO phenomena are actually Nazi craft from this time period or have been upgraded by the Americans and there are no ETs...

Hitler's engineers even developed a rocket-powered fighter, the ME 163. Though it only saw limited service and was never very successful as a fighter, it was the first aircraft to fly faster than 600 miles an hour. After the war, rumours surfaced that the Nazis had one more secret weapon that was still hidden: flying disc-shaped aircraft. According to these stories, some of the victorious Allied nations had plundered the German laboratories where these aircraft were being developed and secret testing of these devices explained many of the reports of flying saucers that appeared in the United States and the Soviet Union in the 1950's.

German Flying Discs Many of the reports of Nazi flying saucers can be traced back to a book entitled German Secret Weapons of World War II written by Rudolf Lusar in the late 1950's. Lusar had been a major in a German army technical unit during the war. His book covered many of the acknowledged advances like the V1 and V2, but also included a chapter on "Wonder Weapons." According to Lusar, a German aircraft designer named Rudolf Schriever, along with other engineers Habermohl, Mierth and Bellanzo (who was Italian), were working on several discshaped aircraft toward the end of the war. At a facility near Breslau, Poland, a group headed by Miethe constructed a prototype of a circular air vehicle 137 feet in diameter with an elongated hump on top for the cockpit. The aircraft was to be powered with "adjustable jet engines." In Lusar's account, the device was destroyed when the plant where it was being constructed was blown up by retreating German troops before it could be overrun by the Soviets in 1945. At a second location just outside Prague, Czechoslovakia, according to Lusar, another group headed by Schriever and Habermohl were working on an additional disc aircraft. Diagrams included in the book show a central egg-shaped control pod surrounded by a nearly flat disc. The flat disc appears to be composed of fan blades that rotate to create lift. Ports on the lower part of the pod appear to be connected to jet engines that provide the forward propulsion. Lusar states that the Schriever machine was tested in 1945 and supposedly reached an altitude of 12 kilometers (39,000 feet) in a little over three minutes. He continues by saying it had a top speed of 2000 kilometer an hour (1,200mph) - substantially faster than the speed of sound. These claims seem somewhat incredible. According to conventional history, the first aircraft to break the sound barrier the X-1, an American rocket-powered plane in 1947. It seems unlikely that Schriever's group would have been able to make such a drastic leap in performance so early and so quickly. In addition, comments from Schriever himself, who relocated to the United States after the war, indicate that any prototypes of the craft were destroyed before flight test as the Germans abandoned their facilities in the face of advancing Allied troops...

AN AIR FORCE COLONEL’S THIRTY YEAR FIGHT TO SILENCE AN AUTHENTIC UFO WHISTLE BLOWER Like many within the subject of Ufology, I have taken the time to read the fascinating account of Larry Warren in ‘Left at East Gate’. A fascinating book compiled by Larry and Peter Robbins. It is... for me.. The most significant book you could ever read on the subject of UFO encounters. The incidents that surround Rendlesham forest have left their mark on the landscape of British ufology forever. The scale of secrecy and the attempt to silence Larry Warren’s efforts to get the truth out have now become obvious and shameful. Many of our readers will recall the book ’Encounters in Rendlesham Forest’ by Nick Pope, and the seemingly deliberate attempt to discredit the work Larry and Peter had carried out, also to purposely ignore their years of research and Larry’s association with this monumental incident. Larry and Peter’s response was swift and accurate in the release of ‘Deliberate Deception - a case of disinformation in the UFO community’. An absolute ‘Must Read’. But now, an even darker twist to the tale has emerged, as Colonel Charles Halt divulges in yet more slanderous remarks against Larry Warren. The time has come to finally set the record straight once and for all... An outstanding book that left me gobsmacked! (Steve Mera PM). Now available at Amazon for just £9.65. 06

The Controversial Deaths of UFO Investigators, Researchers and Authors - Part 2: By Peter Robbins

Frank Edwards Frank Edwards was a popular broadcaster and author, and a longtime public proponent of the extraterrestrial hypothesis of UFOs. He is said to have died of a coronary, but there where those who felt he’d been murdered for bringing so much serious attention to the subject of UFOs. Edwards certainly qualified for the title of pioneer radio broadcaster. He began his career as a radio announcer in 1924, was a White House correspondent from 1949 to 1954, and was cited as one of the nation’s top three broadcasters along with Edward R. Morrow and Lowell Thomas in a 1953 poll. By the nineteen sixties his best-known radio show, “Strangest of All,” was syndicated on hundreds of radio stations around the country. Many of the stories he related on the air went on to become the subjects of his newspaper column which was syndicated in about three hundred American newspapers.

Edwards was also a successful author with seven books to his credit, four of which dealt with inexplicable phenomena: Strangest of All, Stranger Than Science, Strange People and Strange World. But it was not until the mid sixties that he really hit his stride as an internationally best-selling author with the publication of his dual UFO exposés, UFOs – Serious Business in 1966 and UFOs – Here and Now in 1967. Both books were translated into numerous languages and cemented his position as the best-known and most outspoken radio personality in America regularly addressing the subject of UFOs. Edwards first became interested in UFOs in the late 1940s. In 1953 he got hold of an advance copy of Major Donald Keyhoe’s “The Flying Saucers Are Real,” and while its author had no previous books to his credit, he was a respected and decorated retired Marine

Corps combat pilot. The book was arguably the most popular yet published on the subject, and Edwards succeeded in scooping the competition by becoming the first broadcaster to report Keyhoe’s shocking conclusions: that the objects were extraterrestrial craft, and that Air Force officials were aware, but refused to acknowledge it. Edwards’ report made the wire services and the broadcaster was hooked on the subject. He and Keyhoe became fast friends and the Major was a regular guest on his radio shows after that. Mr. Edwards was a member of the Board of Governors of NICAP (along with former CIA Director Roscoe Hillencotter) from 1957 until his death. His ongoing, on-air discussions about flying saucers and other unidentified flying objects were both unflinching and hard-hitting, and given the widely syndicated reach of his show, millions of listeners grew to take his conclusions seriously, as did certain Washington insiders. I’ve read differing accounts of Edwards’ final months. Some of them maintained that he was in failing health, others that he was never will. Whatever the truth was, he passed away a few minutes before midnight on June 23, 1967. In New York City an event called the Conference of Scientific Ufologists had been scheduled to begin the next morning, taking advantage of the fact that it was the thirtieth anniversary of the Kenneth Arnold sightings. The organizer chose to begin his remarks with an announcement of the sad news and by some accounts the audience of more than one thousand gasped as one. This slight misunderstanding – that the famed broadcaster had died on the anniversary itself, fed an instant suspicion among many that the coincidence had been just too coincidental. But there were other factors that fed their concern, and I’m not sure what to make of them. Edwards’ obituary in the New York Times read that his death was ‘apparently’ due to a heart attack which didn’t help matters any, but a more disturbing claim was made public by radio personality and Edwards protégé Long John Nebel, who went on to take up the UFO cause on his long running syndicated radio show. Nebel related that just prior to the conference, famed UFO researcher and author Gray Barker showed him two unsigned letters he’d received stating that Frank Edwards would die during the convention. Barker also phoned him, again, just prior to the conference, to say, “John, something happened a few minutes ago that really shook me up. I got a phone call from a man who said that Edwards would not live to see the end of the convention. That’s all he said before he hung up.” Gray Barker was one of the golden age of flying 10

saucers’ most colorful figures, and while a dedicated chronicler of the phenomena’s early days, was not above playing a bit fast and loose with the facts. His landmark 1956 paranoid classic, They Knew Too Much About Flying Saucers (great title!) attests to this tendency, but John Nebel on the other hand was know for his straightforwardness and dedication to the subject, and if he went on record that he’s seen these letters and received that call, I have to take him seriously. As such, this is a case where we have to credit extraordinary multiple coincidences as the cause of ongoing murder rumors, or admit that Frank Edwards may really have been the victim of foul play, to which I’d have to agree. Dr. J. Allen Hynek For twenty years Dr. J. Allen Hynek was the best known and most influential figure in international Ufology, bar none. Given his importance, some in the field felt his death might not have been natural. Briefly, Allen Hynek was born in Chicago in 1910 and received both his Batchelor of Science and Ph.D. from the University of Chicago. A teaching position at Ohio State followed and in 1956 he was hired by the Smithsonian’s Astrophysical Observatory at Harvard to track the earth satellites that the United States planned to begin launching in the near future. His affiliation with the Air Force began in 1960 as a consultant with Project Stargazer which was involved in launching telescopes on balloons into the upper atmosphere. That year he also joined the faculty of Northwestern University as professor of astronomy.

But his involvement in UFO studies actually began in 1948 when the Air Force invited him to begin looking into sighting reports. Initially skeptical, Hynek contributed to the public’s less-than-serious perception of the phenomena, creating the now-famous musings that “swamp gas” was an

explanation for the unknown aerial objects. He went on to work with the University of Colorado on its huge, misleading report on UFOs, but by this time was becoming dismayed by the service’s inept and unscientific handling of the subject. And while he did not get along very well with Dr. James McDonald, he was impressed and respectful of the physicist’s passionate UFO investigation and attempt to bring UFOs into the scientific mainstream. Hynek’s book, The UFO Experience: A Scientific Inquiry was published in 1972, the year after McDonald’s suicide. The book accused the Air Force of conducting their UFO investigations with indifference and incompetence and gave voice to his growing view that some UFOs were extraterrestrial in origin.

inundating the area at the time. This photo was taken by my friend Pete Mazzola who I’ll be talking about next. Not long after we met Dr. Hynek was diagnosed with a brain tumor, and while his name appeared as the first of three authors on 1987’s Night Siege, which is about New York’s Hudson Valley UFO sightings, the book was fully written by investigators Phil Imbrogno and Bob Pratt - by the time the contract had been signed, Allen Hynek was too ill to participate. He died on April 27, 1987 in Scottsdale, Arizona. Nothing I have learned about this singular contributor to the field of scientific UFO studies indicates or leads me to believe he was sitting on any explosive of potentially embarrassing information which might have made him a target of interest of the Air Force, the intelligence community, or any other governmental agency. Unless or until I learn anything to the contrary I have to conclude that he died of natural causes. Pete Mazzola

The UFO Experience was actually well received by many in the scientific community. In 1973 he founded The Center For UFO Studies. It was renamed the J. Allen Hynek Center For UFO Studies following his death. His second book, The Edge of Reality (written with Jacques Vallee) came out in 1975 while his third book, The Hynek UFO Report was published in 1977. That year The Center, which is located in Chicago, enjoyed a jump in attention after the astronomer had assisted in helping to promote Steven Speilberg’s Close Encounters of the Third Kind. His cameo appearance toward the end of the film is still memorable and made him into something of a pop culture figure and he went on to became a regular speaker at UFO conferences.

Pete Mazzola was a charismatic, intense UFO investigator who also happened to be a tough, no-nonsense New York City Police Detective. Water damage to some of my files has left me without a photo of him. In the 1970’s Pete founded a research group called the Scientific Bureau of Investigation, better known as the SBI, whose membership was primarily composed of police officers. Pete served as its National Director until his death, which occurred just two months after Allen Hynek’s, also from the effects of a brain tumor. And much as in the case of Dr, Hynek, his death was followed by speculation that the tumor was artificially introduced to quiet Mazzola’s growing, authoritative presence on the UFO scene. He was also a mentor or mine, and a good friend to me and my family.

Pete was born in Brooklyn and grew up in a traditional Italian American family. In private conversations with me and my colleague Antonio Huneeus, he related a UFO experience that he remembered from childhood that had occurred in Brooklyn’s Prospect Park. He never chose to go into great detail about it, but it led both Antonio and I to feel that he might have been an abductee. From what I’ve learned in the intervening years, especially in my work with Budd Hopkins, I’m fairly convinced that that was the case. If so, it may have formed the basis for his lifelong interest in the subject. But whether this had been the case or not, he would have a UFO experience when he was in the Army that would change his life. Mazzola had joined the New York City Police Department as soon as he was age eligible, but becoming a cop had to be put on hold until he had completed his military service. Pete volunteered for the Army and saw combat in Vietnam, and it was there that the reality of UFOs assumed - or reassumed, a central place in his life. Following his honorable discharge, he returned home and served the city of New York as a Manhattan-based foot patrolman before becoming eligible for the highly coveted gold detective’s shield. Being a cop in a big city is challenging and dangerous work, and in the course of being on the job he was both shot and stabbed. The detective sergeant was decorated for his bravery and his other accomplishments on a number of occasions, much of his service concentrated on working with troubled juveniles. He took particular pride in being one of a handful of police officers selected by the department for special training in regressive hypnosis for criminal investigation. His skills in this area helped in the solving of a number of crimes, and were instrumental in helping to break the particularly high profile case of a young violinist who was murdered on the roof of Lincoln Center’s Metropolitan Opera House. On his own time he continued to research and study UFO cases with the same scrutiny and professionalism he’d acquired in his training at the city’s John Jay Police Academy and networked with fellow police officers around the country who were likewise caught up in the subject. He also began to apply his skill as a forensic regressive hypnotist to working with individuals who claimed to have had alien contact and abduction experiences. As time passed Pete became known in the field and began to do radio interviews and appear on TV shows. He was always a good sport about being ‘the UFO cop,’ and took the good natured kidding and occasionally stupid kidding of his fellow officers with a grain of salt. But his record as a detective remained solid and he was granted

I met Dr. Hynek in 1984, interestingly on the same day I met my future co-author Larry Warren. We had all come to Westchester County, New York that day to learn more about huge triangular craft that were 11

permission to process the audiocassettes of the UFO-related hypnotic sessions he conducted through John Jay’s Voice Stress Analysis facilities. Access to this highly accurate technology allowed him to quantify the stress in the voices of his subjects so as to better evaluate their accounts. He was the first person to conduct regressive hypnotic sessions with my late sister Helen, who would later go on to work with Budd Hopkins. He hypnotized me as well so that I might re-experience the UFO sighting we’d had as kids. It was remarkable to be fourteen years old again and to relive every detail of that amazing afternoon. Now, an unexpected side effect of the Air Force’s termination of Project Blue Book in 1969 was that individuals who’d have traditionally filed sighting reports with the Air Force began to call them in to their local police departments. They in turn had no official agency to pass such reports on to, and in the early seventies Pete established a twenty four hour hotline for just this purpose. The reports were soon coming in in droves with Detective Mazzola following up on them as his schedule allowed. By the time we were introduced in the late seventies Pete had quietly built the SBI into a well organized non-profit scientific and educational foundation whose monthly bulletin was always filled with data on vintage and late breaking cases. When Pete learned that I had a degree in fine arts and was a painting instructor at The School of Visual Arts, he appointed me to be the SBI Bulletin’s Art Director. But being the micro manager he was, never actually allowed me to do any art direction. It was nice having my name on the masthead though. In 1984 the Bulletin became the first American UFO publication to take a look at Britain’s Rendlesham Forest UFO incident, this several years prior to my becoming involved in the case.

talk, a car on the opposite side of the divided highway went out of control and jumped the divider. Pete had not buckled his seatbelt and the head on crash between the two vehicles shot him through the windscreen and caused him to suffer multiple internal injuries and break more than half of the bones in his body. For the next year he refused to see all but his immediate family and doctors, and while the physical injuries healed over the next months, he remained weak and continued to suffer from problems that did not seem the result of the auto accident. A cat scan was finally ordered and revealed the last thing that his doctors had considered or been looking for: an inoperable brain tumor. Pete never returned to the UFO research he was so passionate about and died on June 10, 1987. He was only forty two years old. I have no idea if the cancer that took him from us was natural or induced, but given the freak nature of the terrible accident that served to hide its spread, and the allto-common plague that is cancer in modern society, we were all certain, Pete included, that it was just that – a freak accident which could not have been intentionally engineered under any circumstances, which is never fair, but does remain an equal opportunity killer. I don’t if there was any history of this or any other type of cancer in his family, and have had to make my peace with the fact we will never have a hard answer to its origin. I still miss him though, and the first edition of Left At East Gate was in part dedicated to him.

The SBI sponsored several New York-based conferences, one of which was the first conference I was ever invited to speak at. Other speakers included Budd Hopkins, Larry Fawcett and Barry Greenwood, the authors of Clear Intent, as well as Larry Warren and my sister Helen. As best I recall, Mazzola sustained seven serious injuries during his more than twenty years of service – knife, gun and beating, and ultimately decided to retire from the force when he was forty or forty one years old, much to the relief and happiness of his wife Elaine and their two children. Many of Pete’s friends were pleased as well because we knew this would allow him to devote himself fulltime to his primary interest. But then the unexpected happened. Dr. Karla Turner Pete had been asked to speak before a research group in the Midwest – it was to be his first following his retirement – and he was met by his sponsor at the airport. As they were driven to his motel prior to the

you to think she was the aggressive, courageous and rock solid investigator that she was. Karla was a respected psychologist, who specialized in working with abductees and the author of numerous papers and three books, Taken: Inside the HumanAlien Abduction Agenda, Masquerade of Angels and Into the Fringe. Her death from cancer in 1997 caused many who knew her or followed her work to speculate that she’d been murdered by the government, the power elite, and given her decidedly anti-‘goodness and light’ abduction views, by the aliens themselves.

Dr. Turner’s interest in the alien abduction phenomenon was not the result of her intellectual curiosity or compassion, though she had plenty of each to spare. She was a lifelong abductee herself and did not see the experience as a transcendent or positive one. Quoting Turner, “I’m convinced that deception is the key to understanding the entire phenomenon. At every level, we are deceived and so we (1) do not know where to put our trust and loyalty, if anywhere, and (2) do not know what actions we ourselves should take to alter our relations with ETs. Most of what we see and remember (even in the first level of hypnotic recall) is not “true” or objectively accurate. … So we really do not know what the ETs are doing with us. And if they deliberately deceive us this way, how on Earth can we trust anything they tell us.” Dr. Turner worked tirelessly for years, spoke at many conferences and remained outspoken about the deceptive aspects of the presences behind the phenomenon. When she was diagnosed with the cancer that killed her, her response was to continue working to the fullest extent she was able. I was very moved that the last UFO lecture she was strong enough to attend was one that Larry and I gave in the summer of 1997. I think she was in her early forties but am not sure. While it was wonderful to see her again, the event was

heavily tinged with sadness as it all but obvious that we would not be seeing her again. As best I recall, she passed away a few short months later. Again we face the question of whether the pathogens that killed her were natural of not, and once again I have no idea of where the truth lies. Carla herself was actually more concerned about the specter of alien retribution for statements she’d made in print. Again, I can only speculate. One thing is for certain though, Dr. Turner never backed down in her unbending belief that the non human presences behind the UFO abduction phenomenon were not doing so in the interests of humanity, and if they had a least favorite researcher, it might well have been Karla. Jim Keith Jim Keith was an investigative writer who wrote about UFOs, but was better known for his conspiracy related books. His published titles included ‘Saucers of the Illuminati’, ‘Mind Control/World Control’, ‘Casebook on the Men in Black’, ‘Casebook on Alternative 3’, ‘OK Bomb’ and ‘Black Helicopters I and II’. Given his dedication to exposing conspiracies of all sorts, his death following a fall from a stage in which he broke his knee was naturally suspect. Jim was truly a conspiracist’s conspiracist. He spoke at numerous conferences about numerous conspiracies and contributed many articles to journals and magazines. Keith did not subscribe to the extraterrestrial theory of UFOs, and viewed the phenomena as human in origin. He felt that the craft involved were entirely the product of highly classified governmental programs employing advanced technology, and maintained that those responsible were involved in an ongoing, concerted effort to advance the extraterrestrial hypothesis as a form of cover story for their nefarious activities.

In September 1999, Jim took some time off to attend Burning Man, a huge, weeklong arts festival held annually in Black Rock, Nevada. An accidental fall from the stage there resulted in a painful broken knee and he was taken from the venue to Washoe Hospital in Reno for emergency surgery. During the operation its understood that a blood clot was released and entered his lung which was the official cause of his death. Its particularly tempting to yell murder when someone so dedicated to conspiratorial thinking, and to bringing government abuses and coverups to the attention of the public dies under such freaky circumstances, and I don’t think any of us have any problem wondering why. But if the cause of death was as reported, a blood clot that had traveled to the lung, it is a legitimate one that, while tragic, is not unknown in many types of surgical procedures. If this was not the case of his death, as some still maintain, I doubt if we will ever learn what in fact it was. I didn’t know Jim Keith but several years prior to his death we did exchange emails on a subject of mutual interest, and even if I didn’t share some of his beliefs, I admired he efforts in attempting to unravel some of the more complex and ominous issues of our time.

someone’s living room. Graham began his UFO-related life as an independent researcher. In the early 1980’s he and his brother Mark, along with their friend Tony Dodd, a police constable, author and first rate investigator as well, established a newsletter called Quest UFO Magazine. Quest grew from a hand mimeographed and stapled several-page newsletter into an internationally distributed publication whose production values were second to none, and –in violation of almost every previously known law of UFO publications, a remarkably successfully business venture to boot. For more than twenty years UFO Magazine and the Leeds-based Quest International Organization went on to sponsor some of the best organized and most interesting UFO conferences, lectures and events ever staged anywhere. Graham’s curiosity was boundless and he was obsessive in following up leads on the stories he published, securing witness testimony, chasing down the details of whatever case he was involved in investigating, then getting it all into print in issue after issue – and on schedule. He also possessed the refreshing trait of actually correcting errors that might have gone into print.

Graham Birdsall Graham Birdsall was a founder and the Editor-In-Chief of England’s UFO Magazine, arguably the best newsstand UFO publication ever to appear in print in the English language. He was also a superb conference organizer and national, then international spokesman for responsible UFO research everywhere. He died of the effects of a cerebral aneurism in 2003 igniting speculation that he’d been murdered to silence his growing influence and outstanding work. UFOs aside for the moment, Graham was one of my all time favorite people. I think my friend and colleague Nick Redfern would agree; he was even closer to Graham than I was. Birdsall was a big bear of a guy who grabbed life with both hands and really lived it. A native of Yorkshire, England, where he lived his whole life, his intelligence, passion, generosity and great sense of humor literally drew people to him in droves. He was also a natural leader and a true friend to American and international Ufology, bringing many of us from our homes around the world to England as speakers over the years. He was also a regular presence and featured speaker at such American venues as the Laughlin International UFO Congress where he was always accompanied by his wife Christine and daughter Helen. He was a riveting public speaker who could address a thousand-plus audience with the ease and intimacy you’d expect to hear in 13

But given his strong personal ethics and unbending opinions, the man was no stranger to controversy and never shirked a good fight. He had his share of fallingsout with colleagues over the years, but once convinced of a case’s inherent validity (or lack thereof), never hesitated to champion, or attack, or call it as he saw it. His keen business sense made him a highly respected and influential member of the Leeds business community, no mien feat in a city regarded as a major financial capitol of Europe, especially where your business is UFOs. Not long after the SCI-FI (Syfy) Channel aired their twenty hour long miniseries

The Controversial Deaths of UFO Investigators, Researchers and Authors - Part 2: By Peter Robbins

“Taken,” I’d arranged an introduction for Graham with another good friend of Ufology, Larry Landsman, SCI-FI’s Director of Special Projects, who I’m glad to say is here with us today.

The two hit it off famously, and had Graham lived, he would have spent October of 2003 traveling around India as the SCI-FI Channel’s goodwill ambassador promoting the upcoming broadcast of “Taken” on Indian television – with Hindi subtitles of course.

But that was not to be. In mid September, Graham collapsed at work and was rushed to the hospital for emergency surgery to relieve pressure on his brain. He passed away at age forty nine on September 19, 2003 as a result of complications following a cerebral aneurism, and when he died, UFO Magazine died with him. And this brings us to the understandable and unnerving speculation that he had been murdered. The fact is, that Graham Birdsall’s death was devastating, not just to his family and friends, but to British Ufology as a whole. He was not just a significant presence in the field, he was the most important presence in the field – a veritable linchpin whose magazine featured the latest cases and best known researchers, and whose conferences gave them, along with their leading international colleagues, a world class venue to present their findings in, and always to packed houses and overflow audiences. No one else even came close, and no one since has stepped forward with the necessary organizing skills, personal charisma and connections to pick up where he left off. I have to admit, that if I had wanted to destabilize British Ufology, the only person I would have bothered to target would have been Graham Birdsall, so why do I think that he was not murdered?

14

The last night I spent with Graham was Christmas Eve 2002, and after Christine and Helen had gone to bed we stayed up late into the night talking, drinking, trading stories, analyzing a documentary we’d just seen, and smoking cigarettes, both of us admonishing each other that we really had to quit. Graham was not quite a chain smoker, but he was close to it. He was a type ‘A’ workaholic who carried around about fifty more pounds than was good for him. His diet was, to put it mildly, not health-oriented, he laughed at exercise, and came from a family where none of the men – his father and uncles – had lived to see their fiftieth birthdays. Taking all of these factors into account, I think that his death, while truly tragic, was the result of natural causes. I still think about him often, remain in regular contact with his family, and doubt that we’ll see his likes again…

ADAMSKI’S FORGOTTEN PHOTOGRAPH 17

Adamski’s Forgotten Photograph - New Key to the truth about the First UFO Contactee?: By Warren P. Aston

ADAMSKI’S FORGOTTEN PHOTOGRAPH New Key to the Truth about the First UFO Contactee? Whether they accept his claims or not, most readers will be familiar with the name of George Adamski, the first so-called "contactee" to openly claim contact with extraterrestrials. Five years after Kenneth Arnold and Roswell introduced UFOs to the post–World War II world, Adamski was the person who brought the idea of alien contact, here and now, into the public arena. His aliens were benign and human-looking enough to pass themselves off as normal businessmen. They were here, they said, to assist Earth society in ridding itself of atomic weapons and ushering in a new era of world peace and progress.

The sceptical who asked for proof were offered multiple images of craft photographed by Adamski in the skies of California—images, incidentally, that have never been proved fakes. Others also saw the strange craft and stood by their affidavits. Adamski met with royalty in Europe and claimed to have met the Pope. But mentioning his name today virtually ensures derision or, at best, heated discussion. Over recent decades within ufology, it has become accepted practice to consider Adamski, and the other early contactees who followed, as belonging to an embarrassing era now best left alone. Case closed, in other words. Few researchers risk mentioning them. Even fewer admit to considering their stories seriously. It's true that many of Adamski's claims now seem ludicrous; but without a more nuanced evaluation that takes human nature and frailties into account, perhaps the baby has been thrown out with the proverbial bathwater. It is time, I believe, to take a fresh look at the story of George Adamski and his contemporaries. In this article I examine an aspect of Adamski's foundational claim that he met a man claiming to be from Venus, later given the name of "Orthon", in front of six witnesses in the Mojave Desert on the afternoon of 20 November 1952. Time for a re-examination? Anyone who assumes that there is nothing new to discuss about Adamski's story is quite incorrect. For example, in making the case that Adamski did meet with the dying Pope John XXIII in the Vatican in 1963, British ufologist Timothy Good noted the witnesses, including Swiss UFO researcher and writer Lou Zinsstag, who saw Adamski being shadowed by his mysterious young men and meeting with them at his hotel. New Zealand UFO investigator and author Tony Brunt reported that the same thing happened in 1959 when Adamski toured New Zealand and Australia. Such examples highlight events that lend credibility to Adamski's story but remain unknown to the

general public and little known even within ufology. They, and others, have yet to be integrated into a comprehensive report. The definitive account has yet to be written. Returning to 1952, the fact that one of the photographs taken on that fateful day clearly shows Orthon's flying saucer (or "bell") and has essentially been forgotten— by believers and sceptics alike—should encourage caution and an open mind as we take a fresh look at what happened. This particular photograph raises some profound implications. The Setting As recounted in his 1953 book Flying 18

Saucers Have Landed, co-authored with Desmond Leslie, Adamski and a small group of friends travelled to a remote location in the California desert on 20 November 1952. With him were his secretary Lucy McGinnis, Alice Wells, George Hunt Williamson and his wife Betty Jane, and Al and Betty Bailey. The group of seven arrived at the rendezvous point in the late morning. The first photograph of the day was taken by one of the Williamsons just before the group ate a picnic lunch together. It shows Adamski sitting near one of their cars. His telescope is beside him; he would attach the camera later. The day was clear and sunny.

Adamski’s Forgotten Photograph - New Key to the truth about the First UFO Contactee?: By Warren P. Aston

Not long after, about midday, the sound of a passing aircraft alerted them to a cigarshaped "mother ship" high overhead. Adamski had previously taken photographs of such craft, including several well-known images of them disgorging the smaller saucers. Indeed, two members of the group, George and Betty Williamson, attempted to photograph the mother ship as it manoeuvred for some 20 minutes. Some type of insignia on its side was visible through binoculars, but it was too distant to appear in the photographs taken with their simple camera. Adamski, following his intuition, felt that a "contact" might be imminent and asked to be taken to a spot not far away. He was driven there and left alone, still in clear view of the others. The Cameras Used on 20 November 1952 Considering the period, the group that went into the desert that day came well equipped with cameras. Adamski himself brought two. The first was an old German Ihagee camera attached to his portable sixinch telescope. This setup used pre-loaded cut film plates, and through it he had already obtained, from hundreds of attempts, some images of craft in the skies above his home near Mount Palomar. For this occasion, he came prepared with seven loaded plates.

The Photographs Taken on 20 November 1952

exposed film in them for the paper to finish and use, if they so desired.

Adamski's account relates what happened next:

3 In any event, the Williamsons and the Baileys met with reporters of the Phoenix Gazette. At first the story was treated with incredulity, resulting in an invitation from the two couples for the newspaper reporters to visit the site and see the footprints themselves. Still, it was a spectacular story, guaranteed to sell papers, and an article written by reporter Len Welch appeared on the Gazette. After a light-hearted introduction, the article was actually a fair summary of the events witnessed four days earlier and had only minor errors. And here the story takes us into a strange collision of worlds. The Gazette developed the two exposed film holders given by Adamski to the two couples.

1 The mother ship had almost vanished in a sudden vertical climb. Minutes after setting up his telescope and attaching the camera, Adamski saw a "flash" in the sky and immediately saw a small craft descending nearby. Sighting through the telescope viewfinder, he hurriedly snapped off his seven plates without taking the time to focus properly on the camera's ground-glass finder. The craft drifted to a stop about half a mile from him. It remained just above the ground, but only its top was now visible above the terrain. The seven plates now exposed and safely in his jacket pocket, 2 Adamski then began taking photographs with his Brownie. His first impulse, naturally, was to photograph the craft, now barely visible. In fact, his first photograph appears to show the top of the craft. It then moved again until it was completely out of view. He then took two more images to record the terrain... It was only a short time later that Adamski suddenly noticed someone standing in the distance, motioning for him to approach. Orthon had arrived. Adamski walked over to him with the dawning realisation that the smiling long-haired young man had arrived in the small saucer. The story of their meeting, conversation and the strange footprints left behind—all of it witnessed by his companions—is too well known and accessible to warrant repeating here. Instead, I want to jump ahead to something that transpired a little later that same day.

4 The newspaper used the better of the two images as the lead image in the article, adding a photograph of its own that showed the two couples looking at the two negatives.

The Media Response Adamski also brought with him an ordinary Kodak Brownie, a simple and very popular camera of the day that utilised roll film and had a fixed-focus lens. Al and Betty Bailey had rented a movie camera for the occasion. George and Betty Williamson brought a still camera; their still images would later prove invaluable.

After Orthon's departure, the group spent several hours making plaster of Paris casts of his footprints and the strange symbols they contained. They did not leave the site until these had safely dried. Adamski related: George [Hunt Williamson] and Al.[Bailey] asked permission to give a report to an Arizona paper and I granted it. They decided to drive to Phoenix since that was the closest large city whose papers would probably have the greatest coverage. They asked me a number of questions to help them in their report, one of which was— "How large was the saucer?" I answered "about 20 feet" but I was still in that "daze" and did not recall actually noticing how large it was. I had noted the details and not the overall. But to substantiate their report, I gave them a couple of the holders with 19

Enlargement of George Adamski’s photograph taken from the front page of the Phoenix Gazette of 24 November 1952.

In Support of Adamski What almost everyone has overlooked since then is the very simple fact that the image supports Adamski's account. It is a close-up daytime photograph clearly showing a well-defined, structured craft at an oblique angle slightly above the camera. The perspective seems consistent with a craft in descent mode. The three-ball landing gear is clearly visible. That it is slightly unfocused fits Adamski's description of how he made the exposures and does not detract from the fact that the

Adamski’s Forgotten Photograph - New Key to the truth about the First UFO Contactee?: By Warren P. Aston

photograph—even by today's standards—is impressive. How do we account for this photograph? How does a simple con-man, as Adamski's detractor’s claim he was, produce such an image? He took it outdoors in front of six witnesses. There was no opportunity for him to know what he had managed to capture with his camera or even if he had captured anything at all. There was no chance for him to pull off some kind of manipulation during processing, even if that was possible in that pre-digital period. He himself never saw the photograph until it appeared on the newspaper's front page.

George Adamski

Despite staring the UFO community and the sceptics in the face, this image has essentially been ignored even by the few commentators who have attempted to deal with the first "contactee". As researchers re -evaluate that early period and its personalities with newly obtained documentation, these hard facts about Adamski and his original claims have to be faced, not ignored. The inescapable facts that this photograph was made in front of witnesses, was independently developed by a newspaper and clearly shows a flying saucer in flight surely require us to reconsider the claims of George Adamski and those associated with him. Author’s Note Material for this article, including images, is courtesy of Michel Zirger and Maurizio Martinelli whose e-book Mystical Journey: The Incredible Life of George Hunt Williamson; Itinerary of a Priveleged UFO Witness is soon to be published in English by Verdechiaro Edizioni (translated, revised and expanded by Michel Zirger). The book was first published in Italian in 2013 by Verdechiaro Edizioni under the title Extraterrestri: Il contatto è già avvenuto. Endnotes: 1. The original account appeared in Desmond Leslie and George Adamski, Flying Saucers Have Landed, T. Werner Laurie, London, 1953, pp.133. 2. Desmond Leslie reported that he'd examined the other plates at Adamski's home and that, although they appeared black, the silhouette of the saucer could be seen when the plates were held up against strong light. 3. Leslie and Adamski, op. cit., pp.155-156; emphasis added. 4. Another newspaper, the Blade–Tribune of Oceanside, California, soon afterwards conducted its own interviews and published a story. It included images, but, as the paper did not have the two plates that the Phoenix Gazette accessed, it did not publish any images taken of the craft. 5. The two photographic plates developed by the Phoenix Gazette were apparently kept by George Hunt Williamson, who subsequently lost them, most probably during his 1956 move from Arizona, USA, to Peru. IS SHANGRI-LA SHAMBHALA A VORTEX TO ANOTHER DIMENSION Nepal is right next to Tibet. Legend has it that there is an interdimensional vortex in Tibet. This vortex has introduced the world to the legendary Shambhala, that also inspired the legendary Shangri-La. Below are comments that are credited to various news agencies, Wikipedia and me.

According to Wikipedia: Shangri-La is a fictional place described in the 1933 novel Lost Horizon by British author James Hilton. Hilton describes Shangri-La as a mystical, harmonious valley, gently guided from a lamasery, enclosed in the western end of the Kunlun Mountains. Shangri-La has become synonymous with any earthly paradise, and particularly a mythical Himalayan utopia. In the novel Lost Horizon, the people who live at Shangri-La are almost immortal, living years beyond the normal lifespan and only very slowly aging in appearance. Special Note from Paul: Ancient aliens, angels and other extraterrestrial beings are known to have a long lifespan. Ancient man according to our own Bible would live for hundreds of years, even thousands of years. The word also evokes the imagery of exoticism of the Orient. In the ancient Tibetan scriptures, existence of seven such places is mentioned as Nghe-Beyul Khembalung. Some scholars believe that the Shangri-La story owes a literary debt to Shambhala, a mythical kingdom in Tibetan Buddhist tradition, which was sought by Eastern and Western explorers. NOW TO THE PRESENT TIME Could a US Military Helicopter have vanished because of the interdimensional

of Dolakha, east of Kathmandu. Six Americans and two Nepalese service members were on board. Defence Department officials have said there were no reports of smoke or a loud bang indicating that the aircraft crashed. Two Marine MV-22B Osprey ‘tilt-rotor’ aircraft have been combing a search area. Army Col. Steve Warren, a Pentagon spokesman, said a helicopter from India reported hearing about a possible fuel problem with the Huey. The Marines had just dropped off their supplies in one location and were on their way to a second stop when they lost contact. HISTORY OF THE DRAGON’S TRIANGLE? What can we learn about the Dragon’s Triangle. Awww…it’s a lot like the Bermuda Triangle, in fact if you placed a straight line through the Earth from the Bermuda Triangle, the other end would be the Dragon’s Triangle. Remarkable eh? Read on: The Devil's Sea , also known as the Dragon's Triangle, the Formosa (Taiwan) Triangle and the "Pacific Bermuda Triangle", is a region of the Pacific around Miyake Island, about 100 km south of Tokyo. The Devil's sea is one of 12 Vile Vortices, originally plotted by Ivan T. Sanderson. The size and area varies with the report (the only reports stem from the 1950s), with various reports placing it 110 kilometres (68 mi) from an unspecified part of Japan's east coast, 480 kilometres (300 mi) from the coast, and even near Iwo Jima, 1,200 kilometres (750 mi) from the coast.

experienced helicopter pilots perplexed. "It's baffling," retired Army helicopter pilot Jim Weatherill told NBC News on Thursday. "Why isn't the emergency beacon transmitting a frequency to where they might be?" The Huey vanished late Tuesday night following a magnitude-7.3 aftershock that rocked Nepal earlier that day, killing at least 96 people. The chopper was on its way to deliver aid in the hard-hit district 23

This area is said to be a danger zone on Japanese maps, according to Charles Berlitz's books The Bermuda Triangle (1974) and The Dragon's Triangle (1989). He states that in the peacetime years between 1952-54 Japan lost 5 military vessels with crews lost totaling over 700 people and that the Japanese government sent a research vessel with over 100 scientists on board to study the Devil's Sea, and that this ship too vanished; and finally that the area was officially declared a danger zone. According to Larry Kusche's investigation, these "military vessels" were fishing vessels, and some of them were lost outside the Devil's Sea, even as far away as near Iwo Jima, 1000 km to the south. He also points out

that, at that time, hundreds of fishing boats were lost around Japan every year. DID MALAYSIA AIRLINES – FLIGHT 370 DISAPPEAR OVER THE DRAGON’S TRIANGLE? Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 (MH370/ MAS370) was a scheduled international passenger flight that disappeared on 8 March 2014, while flying from Kuala Lumpur International Airport near Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, to Beijing Capital International Airport in Beijing, China. Flight 370 last made voice contact with air traffic control at 01:19 MYT (17:19 UTC, 7 March) when it was over the South China Sea, less than an hour after takeoff. The aircraft disappeared from air traffic controllers' radar screens at 01:21. Malaysian military radar continued to track Flight 370 as it deviated from its planned flight path and crossed the Malay Peninsula. Flight 370 left the range of Malaysian military radar at 02:22 while over the Andaman Sea, 200 nautical miles (370 km; 230 mi) northwest of Penang in north-western Malaysia. The aircraft, a Boeing 777-200ER, was carrying 12 Malaysian crew members and 227 passengers from 15 nations. A multinational search effort began in the Gulf of Thailand and the South China Sea, where the flight's signal was lost on secondary surveillance radar, and was soon extended to the Strait of Malacca and Andaman Sea. Analysis of satellite communications between the aircraft and Inmarsat's satellite communications network concluded that the flight continued until at least 08:19 MYT and flew south into the southern Indian Ocean, although the precise location cannot be determined; Australia took charge of the search effort on 17 March, when the search shifted to the southern Indian Ocean. On 24 March 2014, the Malaysian government, noting that the final location determined by the satellite communication is far from any possible landing sites, concluded that "flight MH370 ended in the southern Indian Ocean." The current phase of the search is a comprehensive search of the seafloor about 1,800 kilometres (1,100 mi) southwest of Perth, Australia, which began in October 2014. Despite being the largest and most expensive search in aviation history, there has been no confirmation of any flight debris, resulting in speculations about its disappearance. From Paul: How is it that a large airline like Flight 370 disappear without leaving any kind of trace of wreckage or bodies? With the huge search party and large areas of search, something should have turned up. How can a 21st military helicopter disappear in Nepal? With all of the advanced tracking devices that this helicopter is equipped with, we can’t get a reading on its

location. How is this even possible? Is there a UFO / alien connection? On average, 90,000 people are missing in the USA at any given time, according to Todd Matthews from the National Missing and Unidentified Persons System, or NamUs, a national database for missing people. Some of these people never turn up ever again. I am talking about missing people in the USA, now if we looked at statistics for missing people every year throughout the world, you are talking millions. Where are all of these people going? Why do some UFO abductees say that they see other people on board Mother Ships? Why is this information being suppressed from 24

us? What does the military and our government know? Is the government trading off extraterrestrial technology with aliens and allowing them to abduct us for experiments, harvesting or propagation for other worlds? What’s really going on?...

By Richard R Ritchie Am I going forward? Or am I going back? Did I catch the right train? While on the wrong track? Did I find real truth? Or find real truth a lie? Am I learning how to live? Or learning how to die? Did I get here early? Did I arrive too late? Is the unknown question the answer? To a well planned fate? Is giving a way of getting? Or just a way of being nice? Did I ask you all these questions? Just to give you my advice? Science is now coming full circle with the discovery of enormous holes not only at Galactic centres but also in what was once believed to be indisputable empiric scientific fact. It is re-discovering that science and spirituality are in fact twin paths of the same truth. Water has memory - light photons can bend - our ‘reality’ is at both instances a wave and a particle - we are constantly appearing and disappearing from this three dimensional existence at millionths of (perhaps trillionths) of times a second there is instant communication that defies time and space - there is no time – atoms are aware they even react to being observed. Our bodies are one massive ecosystem with a hundred trillion individual cellular entities living, dying, killing, procreating, feeding and perhaps, believing that they too have a very important reason for existing or maybe even holding a belief in a hereafter. Is a human being the great and all-powerful God controlling that which atoms and cells perceive as their universe? For some insane reason, humanity thinks it has an understanding, a control, a say in all of this. Real life exists on levels mankind has only just begun to discover let alone comprehend. Man believes that by giving something a title or name, somehow this means it is now known, understood and given clarity! What is gravity - electricity – instinct –

reality - dark matter etc? These, and an endless list more, are merely names for so much that man still has no real understanding of. With each new discovery in science the vast void of scientific ignorance becomes more and more apparent. The ‘Big Bang’ theory is constantly altered to take into account the numerous anomalies encountered when new discoveries destroy original theories. By constantly inventing new names for these disparities, it is somehow believed to give veracity to all those mysterious inconsistencies such as ‘dark matter’, ‘antimatter’, ‘string theory’, ‘dark energy’, ‘dark flow’, ‘heat death’, ‘phantom energy’, ‘Planck measure’, ‘quantum

to explain and clarify the Great Spirit and all that lies beyond human comprehension, when it cannot even describe the supposedly known material world? A two-year-old toddler attempting to teach quantum physics to another two year old seems a reasonable analogy. Fortunately there is a dawning realisation in an everincreasing number of scientists who, from their research results, deduce that the accepted norms prove insufficient in the search for truth. To quote Lord Rees, one of Britain’s top astrophysicists - “A true fundamental theory of the universe may exist but is just too hard for human brains to grasp”. He also suggested that there could even be other 3-D universes embedded alongside ours and 10 or 11 other dimensions. There is also now an interest in a new science known as ‘Noetics’, which has begun to examine our surrounding dimensions in an impartial manner. It is this scientific combination of physics with philosophy, which enables an unhindered and unbiased fresh approach to ‘Our World’, and allows these known phenomena such as water

gravity’, ‘Higgs Boson’, ‘strangelets’, etc. While the reality is there is no true understanding, as it is not known if these things even exist? Equally bizarre is the enormous expense (estimated budget, 9 billion dollars) and the huge feat of engineering involved in building the ‘Large Hadron Collider’ to search for a particle that was not even known to exist!!! Is man mad or is there an as yet undeclared, underlying, known purpose and programme for this otherwise gigantic ‘white elephant’? Is the ‘Higgs Boson particle’ perhaps a search for a particle known to be the underlying building energy responsible for the creation of all known matter? Is this particle just a new name for another unknown --- God? If so, how and where will man find the means 27

memory, atomic awareness, thought effects, projection, placebo, molecular reaction, etc; etc; etc; All those newly discovered material marvels, are now forcing the many previously proffered ‘facts’, to dissolve into a fictional state. Even the very dimension we exist in, which was once believed to be in a solid state, including our own bodies, is shown now to be in fact; in a constantly shifting state. Everything is a vibrating frequency, manifesting matter in this 3D television programme known as - ‘reality’? Material enters metaphysics; science becomes spirit, mankind’s metamorphosis into the miracle. Unfortunately even here at this early stage, former errors already take root. Theories stated as fact, arguments over who is right about an idea that is based on

an idea, which is based on a theory, which is based on…what exactly? What is so difficult about saying, “I don’t know yet, help me look”? It is interesting to note the number of supposedly learned men still clinging to outmoded ideas and theories, while refusing to even examine or entertain the possibility of being in error. They continue with their arrogant attitude, rejecting anything they find inconsistent with their scientific dogma, blinded by bluster they are unable to remove the blinkers. This is an ideal example of the difference between knowledge and wisdom and the ego working in a manner that is negative, preventing progress towards enlightenment for fear it may expose the fool within. One needs only research human history to reveal this endless obsession with obstinacy and inertia. Blinded by this arrogance of ignorance, tutors of trivia maintain their machinations to convince the masses that their ideologies, ideas, ideals and intellect are the only ones worthy of merit. Unfortunately it goes unchallenged, as throughout the world all teachings contain within them the fear factor, protecting and preventing any individual challenge to tutor or teaching. To do so results in painful punishment, ridicule or exclusion from further learning. Only when the preferred theory becomes totally exposed as untenable and only when this fact is accepted as beyond question by the ruling authority, will any change in the tenet or teaching occur. As stated earlier, all that can be achieved by those taught in this manner is a regurgitation of the accepted. Those who conform the most are the most successful and become the authority controlling teaching for future generations. So, - the conscience controlling cancer continues unabated, fools teaching foolishness.

born into deprived conditions, provide the only available means of escape from a future filled with social and personal hardship. While so many are dedicated and others desire discovery, millions more spend lives of oblivion dreaming in the shadows of their media hero’s reflected glory.

Manipulated mind machines most suited to perpetuating the proscribed procedure, do not have the required reasoning to question beyond their limited learning and are incapable of thinking outside of the paradigm they externalise as existence unless; they break the brain binding of this constricting and constraining consciousness chain. In every area of endeavour there emerges those who excel beyond the conventional and that which is universal in their exceptionality; is their desire to improve in a particular field or skill.

There is a significant disparity between the enormous exertions of those striving for corporeal rewards of the transient type and those seeking excellence in that which is eternal. For those with eyes to see and ears to hear this materialistic mania is the most destructive delusion, resulting in the decay and death of spirituality and leads to total submergence and souring of the soul sense.

From a temporal perspective, it is understandable why the rewards of the ephemeral earthly kind can induce dedicated devotion in those attempting to secure recognition in any of the many physical professions such as football, entertainment and fashion. Those benefits of fame and/or fortune bring improvement in the material conditions being experienced and for many

How many houses make a man happy? How much money does one require before losing the fear of losing it? How many lovers before the lust lessens? How much fame is required to ease the frustration of anonymity before the fear of being recognised becomes the greater frustration? How many powerful positions before peace of mind? How many wars will it take to finally win? In every aspect of human endeavour, it is accepted that speciality training is required to reach the full potential within each skill 28

or aptitude. This should be and must be the aim and aspiration of every person with the ability to think. To attain a master’s degree in thought, a BA in truth, a BSc in spirit, to become: - a mind master! Nothing that is possible can be achieved unless you become aware of what is possible. Those possibilities, attainable via the awakened mind, are beyond the comprehension of those trapped in the material mind. There is no judgement that can be passed on those millions suffering terror, torment and persecution throughout this world, and explanation of the reasons for this mass suffering is a subject that must await another time, as it requires a deeper clarification than can be covered in this writing. However - a judgement can be passed on all those millions within the imagined ‘free’ societies, who seemingly are allowed freedom of thought, although only in certain circumstances and as long as that ‘freedom’, remains within the boundaries designated as acceptable by the powers decreeing acceptability. People within ‘rich’ economic societies spend the majority of their time in a state of non-thinking or mechanised mind-set. A perfectly programmed population.

Contrary: By Richard R Ritchie

Instead of actively attempting to improve thinking, perception, insight, intent, enlightenment, knowledge, awareness and wisdom that will lead to understanding beyond modern material trivia, humanity is content to wallow in its own callow consciousness. Beguiled by the reported base behaviour of imbeciles whom they class as “Celebrities”. Attempting to emulate the latest lunatic fashion fad, desperate for attention, for every experience, excitement, titillation, the next hedonistic high or ephemerally ecstatic ego event. Any living entity that is unaware of its existence and does not have the ability to question that existence, is living in what is known as second dimensional sensation. This is the dimension in which most of this Earth’s life forms exist. Living, dying, eating, procreating, fighting, etc., with no cognisance beyond bodily functioning or primal needs. This is also unfortunately, if truth is faced, the exact state in which most of humanity exists. They are stuck in a programmed, comatose condition, a condition in which

questions need never arise, believing that the nonsense swirling through their manipulated minds is a result of a personal thought process, without ever wondering where, what, why or how these beliefs or thoughts enter their life or become part of their illusory ideas, ideals or ideologies. In this category are those who declare, “this is all beyond me”, “ignorance is bliss” or “I’m happy not knowing”. Ignorance is and will always remain the domain of the dumb, dense and dim; they defend their territory by arrogantly insinuating any other condition is abnormal. Should dumb unawareness be their aim and ideal state, then a frontal lobotomy should top their ignorant wish list. Remaining in this complacent conditioned coma, with the delusional notion that this is ‘normality’ and/or reality, confines and condemns mankind to a thoughtless oblivion from which there is no escape. You first need to be aware of your imprisonment before you are able to contemplate escape. The statement - “You cannot free a slave who already believes they are

free” once again, leaps into mind, or; to give accreditation to the earlier paraphrasing of the great philosopher and spiritual teacher G. L. Gurdjieff; “All humans are machines, and just because you understand you are a machine, does not mean you have stopped being a machine, but! - it does mean you can begin, to attempt, to stop being a machine”. This also lends itself to clarification of another earlier statement, “learn to become un-human but not inhuman and only then, will you begin to approach that, which is divine within you”. It also confirms the statement, "divinity has no connection to what is, or belongs to, the secular human or material existence". Richard has researched a wide and eclectic range of scientific, esoteric, metaphysical, paranormal and historical subjects for many years. He has worked with a number of organisations facilitating access to information through lectures, writing, investigation and visual content. His main interest being the human psychological programming, conditioning and control throughout history and its use in modern systems of mind manipulation...

November 5, 6 - Taurids Meteor Shower. The Taurids is a long-running minor meteor shower producing only about 5-10 meteors per hour. It is unusual in that it consists of two separate streams. The first is produced by dust grains left behind by Asteroid 2004 TG10. The second stream is produced by debris left behind by Comet 2P Encke. The shower runs annually from September 7 to December 10. It peaks this year on the the night of November 5. The second quarter moon will block out all but the brightest meteors this year. If you are patient, you may still be able to catch a few good ones. Best viewing will be just after midnight from a dark location far away from city lights. Meteors will radiate from the constellation Taurus, but can appear anywhere in the sky. November 11 - New Moon. The Moon will located on the same side of the Earth as the Sun and will not be visible in the night sky. This phase occurs at 17:47 UTC. This is the best time of the month to observe faint objects such as galaxies and star clusters because there is no moonlight to interfere. November 17, 18 - Leonids Meteor Shower. The Leonids is an average shower, producing an up to 15 meteors per hour at its peak. This shower is unique in that it has a cyclonic peak about every 33 years where hundreds of meteors per hour can be seen. That last of these occurred in 2001. The Leonids is produced by dust grains left behind by comet Tempel-Tuttle, which was discovered in 1865. The shower runs annually from November 6-30. It peaks this year on the night of the 17th and morning of the 18th. The first quarter moon will set shortly after midnight leaving fairly dark skies for what could be a good show. Best viewing will be from a dark location after midnight. Meteors will radiate from the constellation Leo, but can appear anywhere in the sky. November 25 - Full Moon. The Moon will be located on the opposite side of the Earth as the Sun and its face will be will be fully illuminated. This phase occurs at 22:44 UTC. This full moon was known by early Native American tribes as the Full Beaver Moon because this was the time of year to set the beaver traps before the swamps and rivers froze. It has also been known as the ‘Frosty Moon’ and the ‘Hunter's’. 29

IMPORTANT NOTICE! It is fair to say, in this day and age, that the disconnect between mainstream media “reality” and what is really going on is getting to the point where many people in society are not being told the full story—about almost everything and anything. In geopolitics, we see media organisations such as Al Jazeera willing to totally fabricate events and broadcast them via BBC, CNN, ABC and other licensees. In what is needlessly called “alternative health”, we see the might of transnational drug companies steering government health policies as well as affecting personal sovereignty in the form of forced vaccinations, freedom of choice in the treatment of serious disease, and the right to be able to purchase health products of our choosing.

In explorations of “fringe sciences”, including subjects such as the Expanding Earth theory or the Electric Universe theory, we see the unexplained anomalies regarding energy, gravity, electricity and biology, being ignored, suppressed or ridiculed. I believe that it is in the open-minded exploration of such anomalies, that we actually further our scientific understanding of our universe. In discussion of consciousness and the paranormal, we again see mainstream media reporting distorted versions of events, misreporting factual data, not reporting it at all, and again, outright ridicule (snigger factor). The fact of the matter is that people want to know more about who we are as spiritual beings, about the role of consciousness in determining how we experience life, and the role our inherent beliefs have on how we live and treat other people. I believe that the vast majority of people on this planet want to live in peace and harmony with each other, and I also believe that there are forces at work, including the military-intelligence-industrial complex, that desire and profit from manufactured conflict. We live in an era where a growing number of people are stepping up to blow the whistle on illegal and suppressed information. Information they believe is in everyone’s interests to be made public. Unfortunately, despite the assurances of protection to whistleblowers from world leaders, we actually see the opposite—the suppression and persecution of such people. And finally, we live on a planet where the way in which we live is dramatically affecting the entire ecosystem. Measurable levels of chemicals are found in the air over the entire planet—in the groundwater of every continent, and in the oceans everywhere. Why is it noble to focus on CO2 and energy saving, while ignoring the death, disease and destruction of our habitat and life forms, including our own? I have created the Alternative News Project (ANP), not as a vehicle to fight the current mainstream manufactured reality, but instead to provide a vehicle for like-minded, independent thinkers, to help create something new. Something better. Instead of endless searches on the Internet, we will bring you the news, every day, right across the spectrum of hundreds of nonmainstream news Topics. We have called it a Project, as it is not just about information—it is about the building of a global community through the distribution of information. The ANP is the first time that independent thinkers of the world (i.e. you) have a centralised location not only to see more of what is going on in your world than ever before, but where you also have the opportunity to send alternative news and information from anywhere across the globe. You are the real key to our project, because by receiving information you can inform others and by contributing your knowledge to us, we can broaden our scope of services around the globe. As such, the ANP is designed to be a community-based interactive news and information project by the people for the people. Welcome aboard the ANP, and thanks for being part of the adventure. Do Alien Visitors from a ‘Goblin Universe’ walk in a haunted realm between the living and the dead: By Sean Casteel

For those in the UFO community who have made the leaps of faith that started with Erich von Daniken and Zechariah Sitchin, namely that the gods of our religions were in fact aliens who led mankind to varying degrees of civilization and technological development, it logically follows that some forms of religious fanaticism would spring from that same alien source. There has always been a thin line between religious experience and simple madness, and there is likely also a thin line between alieninspired fanaticism and mere humangenerated religious delusion. This is all said by way of introduction to a new book from Timothy Green Beckley’s Global Communications publishing house. The book is called “‘Mad’ Mollie: Brooklyn’s Supernatural ‘Saint,’” and, for the sake of complete disclosure, I wrote some of its chapters. The new release includes the complete text of a rare and hard-to-find book about Mollie Fancher from the early 20th century, as well as new material that helps set the stage for one of the strangest stories in the history of the paranormal. It is also the first in a new series from Global Communications devoted to “Very Strange People.” A second book in the series, “The Bell Witch Project,” is already available for purchase as well. WHO WAS “MAD” MOLLIE? Mollie Fancher was born in Massachusetts in 1848. Her parents moved the family to Brooklyn, New York, in 1850, and Mollie began her education in a private school there a few years later. Mollie’s mother died in 1855, and her father remarried and abandoned Mollie and her siblings to be raised by their aunt, Susan Crosby. Mollie did well in school and was considered very attractive by the standards of her day. Two months prior to her graduation, she fell ill, suffering from nervous indigestion, generalized weakness and fainting spells. Her doctor prescribed horseback riding to cure her, which was for centuries thought to be a solution for “hysteria” in women. While riding, Mollie was thrown from her horse, hit her head on a curbstone, knocking her unconscious, and broke several ribs. She might have recovered from the horse accident and led a normal life, but a little over a year later, in 1865, she suffered another traumatic accident. Mollie was engaged to be married and was out shopping for wedding-related items. When she stepped off a streetcar near her home, her dress got caught on the rear of the car and she was dragged a city block before anyone noticed her. Her suitor broke off their marriage plans, and she was put to bed to heal. She never left her bed, spending the remaining 51 years of her life there as she

suffered varied and strange ailments that baffled observers and physicians alike.

bedridden woman with one functioning hand.

THE SUPERNATURAL TAKING HOLD?

Mollie was also said to read writing from great distances, read minds and have the gift of prophecy. In a country obsessed with spirit communication, ghosts and the supernatural, Mollie became something of a celebrity.

As she lay in her bed of trauma and misery, Mollie began to experience trances and spells and violent spasms. She also, quite famously, began to refuse food, claiming to go months, even years, without swallowing a single morsel of anything. In Victorian times, this was a commonly claimed miracle, and many “fasting girls” were celebrated in the news media for their fanatic devotion to Christ as expressed through self-starvation. The doctors of Mollie’s time again called her condition “hysteria,” which was a catch-all term for women whose behavior was deemed inappropriate or “unladylike.” Some of the strangest stories about Mollie occurred in the nine years from 1866 to 1875. It is claimed that she lay with her arm drawn up over her head, her legs twisted and her eyes closed, yet still managed to write 6,500 letters, sew fine embroidery, keep a diary and make wax flowers – quite an achievement for a 34

But which Mollie would that be? Along with all her other mysterious maladies, Mollie is thought to have been a bona fide case of Multiple Personality Disorder. In 1875, she fell into unconsciousness for a month and then awakened with no memory of the last nine years. None of the works of art she had done looked familiar to her, and she resumed conversations where they had left off nine years before. She began to splinter into several “selves,” some cheery and bright, while others were jealous and vindictive. The personalities would write letters to each other – in different handwriting. Mollie died on February 15, 1916, at age 67, taking her selves and her secrets with her.

Do Alien Visitors from a ‘Goblin Universe’ walk in a haunted realm between the living and the dead: By Sean Casteel

A FEMINIST STATEMENT IN MALE-DOMINATED TIMES Most people are familiar with the term “anorexia nervosa,” an eating disorder in which a person is usually struggling with body image conflicts and/or uses selfstarvation as a means of gaining control over their lives. But one may be surprised to learn that there exists a term for what was claimed about Mollie Fancher – “anorexia mirabilis,” or “miraculous loss of appetite.” The term comes from the Middle Ages, when women and girls would starve themselves, sometimes to the point of death, in the name of God. Anorexia mirabilis was often combined with other ascetic forms of self-denial, like lifelong virginity, selfflagellation, wearing hair shirts, sleeping on beds of thorns and other assorted penitential practices.

Saint Catherine (1347-1380), of Siena, Italy, rose to become a rare female player in 14th century papal politics. She was also a determined “fasting girl” and would forcibly self-regurgitate when compelled to eat food at all. Her local priest suspected she might have been secretly fed by demons when he observed how bright, energetic and strong she remained even after fasting for unnaturally long periods of time. “Mad” Mollie’s similar claim to defying nature by living without sustenance of any kind can thus be seen as part of a long tradition dating back several centuries. Demonic possession was sometimes suspected in Mollie’s case as well, especially because of her multiple personalities and the strange trances that sometimes overcame her. STIGMATA AND AN ALIEN CONNECTION Another phenomenon claimed by both Mollie and Saint Catherine was stigmata, or mysteriously appearing wounds that replicate the physical injuries Jesus Christ endured on the cross. The stigmata wounds occur spontaneously in some unknown way and are not self-inflicted. The stigmata phenomenon was first reported by Saint Francis of Assisi in the 13th century and is seen most commonly among priests and nuns. The strange signs on the flesh are said to be confirmation of the sufferer’s saintly devotion to Christ.

Caroline Walker Bynum, the author of “Holy Feast, Holy Fast,” believes that anorexia mirabilis was not simply misdiagnosed anorexia nervosa but was instead a legitimate form of self-expression that existed outside the modern disease paradigm. Anorexia mirabilis should be understood as a distinct medieval form of female religious piety and placed within its proper historical context. Many women of medieval times refused to ingest anything but the Communion host, which was intended to signify not only their devotion to God and Jesus but also to make a point about the separation of body and spirit. The idea that the body could endure for long periods of time without nourishment demonstrated how much stronger and important the spirit was. Popular opinion was unconcerned that the women claimed to go without food for months or even years; the “impossible” length of their fasting only added to the allure of this specifically female achievement.

An Italian named Giorgio Bongiovanni’s first experience as a stigmatic happened in 1989 in Portugal when he was given a message for humanity and received the first stigmatic piercings in his hands. During this encounter, a luminous being explained to Giorgio that the universe is abundant with intelligent life and that beings are visiting the Earth with highly advanced disc-shaped craft. 35

Since that time, Giorgio has had frequent recurrences of stigmata, sometimes on his left side, where Christ was said to have been pierced by a Roman sword, and on his forehead, in reference to Christ’s crown of thorns. The purpose of his stigmata, Giorgio says, is so the faithful can have a sign to believe in during the traumatic Earth changes to come. The sacred, interdimensional flying saucer entities have told him that mankind will face a period of darkness but those who have obeyed Christ’s teachings will be saved. Which begs the question that began this article: Are certain forms of religious fanaticism divinely inspired by the UFO occupants? Do the aliens send us religious messages by way of miracles like Mollie Fancher’s prodigious fasting or Giorgio Bongiovanni’s stigmata? DID THE ALIENS LEAD THE SPIRITUALIST MOVEMENT? In his introduction to “‘Mad’ Mollie: Brooklyn’s Supernatural ‘Saint,’” Tim Beckley writes about the Spiritualist Movement that is said to begin with the Fox sisters in 1848, the year Mollie was born. The two young girls, fifteen-year-old Maggie and eleven-year-old Katy, huddled under their blankets in raw fear as they were encircled by hellish sounds coming from the darkness of their small rural home in Rochester, New York. They felt the sounds were coming from an intelligent source, so the sisters played a kind of game in an attempt to communicate with whomever or whatever was creating the noises. Snapping their fingers and clapping their hands loudly, they asked the entity to respond accordingly. It replied with a series of knocking sounds that came from the wall just above their beds. Mrs. Fox, their mother, believed the entity to be a ghost and she decided to test it herself by asking questions. The spirit responded accurately, again by making knocking sounds. After the neighbors were able to confirm that the knocking sounds were indeed intelligent, word soon spread that the Fox sisters could converse with the dead, drawing enormous crowds from all over the country. Soon the Spiritualist Movement was in full swing and mediums in a deep trance were levitating tables and issuing ectoplasm from their bodily orifices. Supernatural manifestations became “as American as apple pie,” Beckley writes. The Fox sisters soon took a backseat to the Bangs sisters, Lizzie and May, who could produce a spirit painting on canvas without touching it. A bucket of paint would rest on the floor near the sisters, and, over the

next hour, an image would start to appear on the canvas. They each gripped the canvas in both their hands, making it impossible for them to use any sort of brush or hidden device. In spiritualist jargon, these are called “Precipitated Spirit Paintings.” Spiritualism is its own kind of religious fanaticism, and it is possible to link it to the alien abduction phenomenon. Abductees sometimes report seeing a deceased relative during an alien encounter, such as seeing the face of one’s late grandmother at the foot of one’s bed as the standard gray aliens go about their work. “Communion” author Whitley Strieber feels that the alien Visitors walk between the worlds of the living and the dead as easily as we mortals cross a street and that someday all mankind may progress to the point where they have that same privilege. (Some believe the Visitors may reside in what has been referred to as a “Goblin Universe,” according to Beckley.) Whatever the afterlife is, it is something the aliens are familiar with, and it would follow that leading certain souls to perform and “speak” at a séance would be within their abilities. examined the building from top to bottom, but no explanation was ever found. In a final attempt to eradicate the voice, the building was demolished and a new building now stands on the plot. WAS MOLLIE AN ALIEN “MIRACLE”? Nearly a hundred years after her death, Mollie Fancher remains a mystery sleeping covered in a patchwork quilt of unknowns. Did she live for 51 years without eating? Did she possess clairvoyance and other paranormal gifts? Was she possessed by demons whose evil personalities warred against her own with fierce determination? Was she making a feminist statement in the repressed Victorian era by stubbornly – and miraculously – refusing sustenance of any kind?

Beckley also writes about a “goblin” stove said to have begun speaking to residents of a home in Zaragoza, Spain, in 1934. The Palazon family at one time blamed their housemaid for the voice, thinking she had some sort of talent for ventriloquism, in spite of the maid’s protests of innocence. The stove began to draw curious crowds, and some felt the devil himself had found a home in the Palazons’ kitchen. The voice spoke in “demonic curses” and was able to see and hear what was going on around it. When the police were called in, the voice spoke to them directly. The voice became angry when it realized the block had been evacuated in response to its presence. The army was called in and a team of architects

And, if there were genuine supernatural events taking place, were the UFO occupants somehow behind them? Is the strangeness surrounding Mollie Fancher so hard to comprehend because it involves so many elements that are simply “not of this world”? UFOlogy is a field where it is best that no stone be left unturned, and the study of “Mad” Mollie is a good case in point.

Reliability Program] review and decertification. But the Rendlesham Forest Incident (RFI) fixed that. I use the acronym to refer to the entire week of UFO activity. When others started reporting strange things, I was off the hook. My involvement in the RFI was limited in scope. But I believe I was the first to report activity on RAF Woodbridge that week. I would like to say that this occurred on Tuesday, December 23rd, but I'm not positive. Senior Airman Robert ‘Bobby Bo’ Beauchamp and I were assigned as the SRT for Woodbridge that night. The gate guard—his name escapes me but he was from Arkansas and we nicknamed him Elmer because he resembled Elmer Fudd— was posted to the last parking area nearest East Gate. I do not recall who the ART was that night.

New Bentwaters UFO Witness Goes on the Record: Former USAF Security Policeman Saw Orb Maneuver Over Parked Aircraft.

Elmer called us to his post saying he saw something come down in the forest outside East Gate. The approximate position would have been roughly ENE of the gate post, maybe. I believe it was TSGT James Middlebrooks who was in charge of Woodbridge SPs that night. He, Bob Beauchamp and I ventured outside East Gate to do a cursory investigation regarding ‘flashing lights’ in the forest. We reported seeing nothing of note and returned to post. We did, however, come across a curious thing. In a clearing that was roughly 30 feet in diameter there were a slew of tree branches scattered on the ground which appeared to have been sheared clean-off the surrounding trees and in the center of all this were three depressions that were spaced about 12-feet apart and formed a triangle. Now keep in mind, it wasn't until the [1991] Unsolved Mysteries program about RFI that I realized what we'd discovered that night. I know it was the exact same spot. Jim Penniston and John Burroughs will swear that ‘we were not on alert status during this period’, but that's not true. I was in those woods the first night of RFI as a part of a recall due to the activities that week. At this, I responded, “You say you think the depressions in the ground that you found were the same ones that Penniston and Burroughs found later on. Could they have been another landing site? How do you know it was the ‘exact same spot’?” Wagner replied, “It could have been another site, however based on the conversation I had with Col. Halt recently, I have some doubt about that. He described the area, mentioned landmarks that I was familiar with and placed himself in the same area with relation to East Gate that I was in on the 23rd of December. The only thing that would make me doubt this is the claim of burn marks on the trees; I do not recall the trees being scorched.”

Former Air Force personnel who witnessed a UFO presence at Bentwaters, its sister base RAF Woodbridge, and nearby Rendlesham Forest, continue to come forward. The UFO Chronicles In September 2015, I interviewed former Security Policeman (SP) Steven D. Wagner, who not only discovered what appeared to be landing gear impressions in the forest—perhaps even earlier than those reported by former SP Jim Penniston on December 26th—but also witnessed a two-foot diameter spherical object maneuver above several A-10 aircraft parked at the Bentwaters base. Moments later, the orb suddenly split into three smaller spheres, according to Wagner, all of which vanished in a flash of light. Significantly, the second event occurred some six months before the nowfamous Rendlesham Forest UFO incidents in December 1980, and is only the most recent report of UFO activity at the twin bases in the weeks and months prior to and following them. Wagner said, I can't tell you if this ever made the blotter. I think CSC (Central Security Control) and everyone else was laughing too hard to take it seriously. According to Ken Kern, who was a sergeant at the time, it occurred on 15 June 1980. [Former SP Kern kept a personal record of unusual events at the twin bases on index cards. Typically, weekend mid-shifts were a boring affair; if you were lucky enough to be assigned post with someone you were friends with then you could pass the night enjoyably. Saturdays were tolerable due to some limited flight line activity, but Sundays were miserable. But this particular Sunday was pretty eventful. Shift started with guardmount, which is a pre-shift formation where the flight chief and flight commander gauge each SP's fitness for duty that day, share any pertinent security updates, and to give out post assignments. This night, Charles M. Campbell and I, both Airman 1st Class at the time, were

assigned to Alpha 2 ART (Area Response Team) on the TAPA, or Tactical Alert Parking Area, at Bentwaters. Alpha 2 is a roving vehicle patrol within the Alpha alert parking area for A-10 Warthog aircraft. Airman Michael LaBrucherie was assigned Alpha 1 which is the gate post... The specific time-frame of the occurrence I can't pinpoint for you—it's been 35 years! I can tell you it started sometime around 0230-0300. I stepped out of the patrol vehicle and stepped to the side of the maintenance buildings to relieve myself. There was a berm that ran behind the buildings, the entire length of them. I noticed ‘lights’ in the trees behind the berm and went to investigate. I called-in to report this; Chas got the transmission and came running. For some reason I can't explain the SRT (Security Response Team) took forever to get there and, by the time they did, it was over. A large orb, reddish-orange in color, and roughly the size of a large beach ball, rose from the sparse trees behind the berm and moved into the Alpha Area, at which time I almost freaked out. LaBrucherie was now able to see it and babbled over the radio about the area being penetrated. The orb hovered briefly over each of the A10s. The damn thing was within arm’s reach of the aircraft. When Chas and I finally got somewhat close to it, it moved outside the fence line with unbelievable speed, rose to about 30 or 40 feet off the ground, split into three separate orbs and, with a blinding flash, disappeared. All that could be seen, from the top of the berm, were two very startled deer.

At some point thereafter, Penniston found the three depressions and later took plaster casts of them. The widely-held assumption has always been that the landing pad marks were created that night, as the triangular craft set down on the ground. If your discovery did indeed take place on the 23rd, then there had to have been a landing in that area some three days prior to Penniston's discovery. Of course, there is no reason why this couldn't have happened, but I am just trying to imagine a plausible scenario and timeline that would account for everyone's observations.”

The SRT finally got there, and of course Chas, Mike, and I all looked like fools. Because I was deemed the one who initiated this, I caught hell. After we were relieved at the end of shift I cornered MSGT Ron Faile to plead my case. I was concerned about a [Personnel

Wagner replied, “If memory serves me the 23rd was our last mid-shift on B Flight, this would make the 26th our last day of break and would also explain our recall.” If he’s correct, then the events in Rendlesham Forest in late December 1980 began even earlier than previously thought. In the context of the reported UFO activity occurring much earlier that year, as well as those following the now well-known events, such a revelation should not be too surprising...

37

I then asked, “Did you and the others report what you found?” Wagner replied, “I said nothing to anyone in regards to this; an irresponsible response on my part, largely due to the razzing I took after reporting my June 1980 sighting. As far as I know, TSGT Middlebrooks didn’t either. No discussion about this ever took place between us.” I then asked, “Regarding the date, on what do you base your belief that it occurred on the 23rd? The Penniston/ Burroughs UFO encounter occurred at approximately 3 a.m. on the 26th.

Egypt detects ‘impressive’ anomaly in Giza Pyramids

GERMAN WOMAN FIGHTS FOR LIFE AFTER ‘SPONTANEOUSLY COMBUSTING’ WHILE SITTING ON PARK BENCH

CAIRO (AP) — Two weeks of new thermal scanning in Egypt's Giza pyramids have identified anomalies in the 4,500 year-old burial structures, including a major one in the largest pyramid, the Antiquities Ministry announced.

By Allan Hall In Berlin for MailOnline

By Maram Mazen Antiquities Minister Mamdouh el-Damaty and technical experts working on the project showed the higher temperature being detected in three specific adjacent stones at the bottom of the pyramid in a live thermal camera presentation to journalists. The scanning showed "a particularly impressive one (anomaly) located on the Eastern side of the Khufu pyramid at ground level," the ministry said in a statement. The largest of the three Giza pyramids is known locally as Khufu and internationally as Cheops. The thermal scanning was carried out at all times of the day, including during sunrise, as the sun heats the structures from the outside, and then during sunset as the pyramids are cooling down. The speed of the heating and cooling phases is being used to uncover "hypotheses" such as empty areas in the pyramids, internal air currents, or different building materials used. "The first row of the pyramid's stones are all uniform, then we come here and find that there's a difference in the formation," said el-Damaty, pointing at the three stones showing higher temperatures. While inspecting the area, el-Damaty said they found "that there is something like a small passage in the ground that you can see, leading up to the pyramids ground, reaching an area with a different temperature. What will be behind it?" Other heat anomalies were detected in the upper half of the pyramid that the experts said need to be investigated further. El-Damaty invited all Egyptologists, especially those interested in ancient Egyptian architecture, to join in the research and help come up with ideas on what could be behind the anomalies. The pyramids, located on the outskirts of Cairo, are one of the major tourist attractions in the country. The pyramids, which were used as sacred burial structures, were built in the fourth Pharaonic dynasty. The great pyramid is the oldest and only surviving monument of the seven wonders of the ancient world.

A woman is fighting for her life in a German hospital after appearing to spontaneously combust while sitting on a park bench. Flames sprouted from her as a horrified passerby rushed to her and used his jacket to beat out the fire. But she was severely burned over most of her body. The incident occurred in Flensburg, in the north of Germany, on Monday evening. The victim is in her 40's and comes from Mauritius. After being rushed to the local hospital she was later flown by air ambulance to a specialist burns unit in Lubeck where she remains in a critical condition. 'The victim has lived in Flensburg for a long time and has family here,' said the local prosecutor Ulrike Stahlmann-Liebelt who is probing the bizarre blaze. Eye witnesses told local media that the woman didn't make a sound as the flames engulfed her. Spontaneous human combustion (SHC) is the term used when a human body goes up in flames without an apparent external source of ignition. Forensic investigations have attempted to analyze reported instances of SHC and have resulted in theories regarding potential causes. These include victim behaviour and habits, alcohol consumption and proximity to potential sources of ignition, as well as the behaviour of fires that consume melted fats. In the Flensburg case prosecutor Stahlmann-Liebelt said investigators had not yet ruled out whether the woman had actually set alight to herself in a suicide attempt.

AIRPLANE PASSENGER TAKES PICTURES OF ‘UFO’ AS HIS FLIGHT PASSES CLOSE TO TOP SECRET AREA 51 MILITARY BASE… BUT IS THERE A MORE RATIONAL EXPLANATION?

Villagers baffled after three mysterious black ‘UFO’ balls fall from space

By Julian Robinson for MailOnline The unnamed man reported his sighting to the Mutual UFO Network which investigates UFO sightings in the US. But all may not be as it seems with some pointing out that it could actually be a giant solar farm near the site. He told the organisation: ‘I was on an American Airlines flight from San Jose, Ca to Houston, TX on October 30, 2015 when I noticed a blinding bright light in the desert near Luning and Gabbs, NV. ‘I saw a large silver disc that appeared to be in the middle of the desert. This disc was shooting orb like lights into the air. 'The disc itself had multiple lights that were blinding to the eyes. I pulled out my phone and took pictures until my phone died. By Rob Waugh Three mysterious black orbs have fallen from the sky on the village of Villavieja in Murcia, Spain. Speculation about the origin of the orbs ranges from something left by UFOs to space debris. Locals found the first ball last week, and the Guardia Civil were called to investigate. Jose Velez, the mayor of Calasparra, asked the authorities,'I think it is a more serious issue than it seems. Where are these objects coming from? Why are they falling here precisely? Will more of them fall?’ Citizens have real concerns about what is happening and deserve an explanation.' “And what would happen if any of these balls fall into a highly populated area?” Officials in biohazard suits investigated, but the balls have not been found to be radioactive or toxic. They have been taken away for investigation. Local farmers claim to have seen ‘seven or eight’ fireballs streaking across the sky, the Olive Press reported.

‘No other passengers seem to notice the disc or comment on it. Upon my return home; I asked multiple Air Force employees if they have ever seen anything like this and all replied never. Initially I thought it was a satellite but now leave it up to your interpretation. What the hell did I witness?’ He said neither the captain nor fellow passengers said anything and the plane carried on until the disc was out of sight. The United States government only acknowledged the existence of the off-limits military base in the southern Nevada desert for the first time in 2013. Scott C Waring, editor of UFO Sightings Daily is quoted by the Express as saying: 'This disc formation on the ground does have the appearance of a landed UFO on the ground. 'Gabby is about 140 miles south west of Area 51. The person caught a cloaked (hidden) UFO in the area. The metallic of the UFO is partly exposed and I'm sure it wasn't for long. 'This UFO is partly cloaked to look like the surrounding area. Some cloaks make UFOs appear as clouds, others invisible, this one...is trying to blend in with the surroundings.' The Mutual UFO Network has reportedly classified the sighting as 'unresolved'. Some have pointed out that the UFO may in fact have been the giant Ivanpah Solar Power Facility...

IN UNEXPECTED DISCOVERY, COMET CONTAINS ALCOHOL, SUGAR

Picture of the comet C/2014 Q2 (Lovejoy) on 12 February 2015. Image taken by French amateur astronomer Fabrice Noel, 50 kilometers south of Paris. (4 minute exposure, 6400 ISO, Sony A7s DSLR). Credit: Fabrice Noel, France. http://phys.org Comet Lovejoy lived up to its name by releasing large amounts of alcohol as well as a type of sugar into space, according to new observations by an international team. The discovery marks the first time ethyl alcohol, the same type in alcoholic beverages, has been observed in a comet. The finding adds to the evidence that comets could have been a source of the complex organic molecules necessary for the emergence of life. "We found that comet Lovejoy was releasing as much alcohol as in at least 500 bottles of wine every second during its peak activity," said Nicolas Biver of the Paris Observatory, France, lead author of a paper on the discovery published Oct. 23 in Science Advances. The team found 21 different organic molecules in gas from the comet, including ethyl alcohol and glycolaldehyde, a simple sugar. Comets are frozen remnants from the formation of our solar system. Scientists are interested in them because they are relatively pristine and therefore hold clues to how the solar system was made. Most orbit in frigid zones far from the sun. However, occasionally, a gravitational disturbance sends a comet closer to the sun, where it heats up and releases gases, allowing scientists to determine its composition. Comet Lovejoy (formally cataloged as C/2014 Q2) was one of the brightest and most active comets since comet Hale-Bopp in 1997. Lovejoy passed closest to the sun on January 30, 2015, when it was releasing water at the rate of 20 tons per second. The team observed the atmosphere of the comet around this time when it was brightest and most active. They observed a microwave glow from the comet using the 30-meter (almost 100-foot) diameter radio telescope at Pico Veleta in the Sierra Nevada Mountains of Spain. Sunlight energizes molecules in the comet's atmosphere, causing them to glow at specific microwave frequencies (if microwaves were visible, different frequencies would be perceived as different colors). Each kind of molecule glows at specific, signature frequencies, allowing the team to identify it with detectors on the telescope. The advanced equipment was capable of analyzing a wide range of frequencies simultaneously, allowing the team to determine the types and amounts of many different molecules in the comet despite a short observation period. Some researchers think that comet impacts on ancient Earth delivered a supply of organic molecules that could have assisted the origin of life. Discovery of complex organic molecules in Lovejoy and other comets gives support to this hypothesis.

"The result definitely promotes the idea the comets carry very complex chemistry," said Stefanie Milam of NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Maryland, a co-author on the paper. "During the Late Heavy Bombardment about 3.8 billion years ago, when many comets and asteroids were blasting into Earth and we were getting our first oceans, life didn't have to start with just simple molecules like water, carbon monoxide, and nitrogen. Instead, life had something that was much more sophisticated on a molecular level. We're finding molecules with multiple carbon atoms. So now you can see where sugars start forming, as well as more complex organics such as amino acids—the building blocks of proteins—or nucleobases, the building blocks of DNA. These can start forming much easier than beginning with molecules with only two or three atoms."

UFO Sighting Over Cornwall, England 2015

In July, the European Space Agency reported that the Philae lander from its Rosetta spacecraft in orbit around comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko detected 16 organic compounds as it descended toward and then bounced across the comet's surface. According to the agency, some of the compounds detected play key roles in the creation of amino acids, nucleobases, and sugars from simpler "building-block" molecules. Astronomers think comets preserve material from the ancient cloud of gas and dust that formed the solar system. Exploding stars (supernovae) and the winds from red giant stars near the end of their lives produce vast clouds of gas and dust. Solar systems are born when shock waves from stellar winds and other nearby supernovae compress and concentrate a cloud of ejected stellar material until dense clumps of that cloud begin to collapse under their own gravity, forming a new generation of stars and planets. These clouds contain countless dust grains. Carbon dioxide, water, and other gases form a layer of frost on the surface of these grains, just as frost forms on car windows during cold, humid nights. Radiation in space powers chemical reactions in this frost layer to produce complex organic molecules. The icy grains become incorporated into comets and asteroids, some of which impact young planets like ancient Earth, delivering the organic molecules contained within them. "The next step is to see if the organic material being found in comets came from the primordial cloud that formed the solar system or if it was created later on, inside the protoplanetary disk that surrounded the young sun," said Dominique BockeléeMorvan from Paris Observatory, a coauthor of the paper.

IS it a bird? Is it a plane? Or could this be a spaceship from another planet? While visiting family in Cornwall over the summer, 15-year-old Georgia Barnes took these photographs of St Ives on her iPhone. But it was only last week when the teenager, who lives in Lincolnshire, was looking through her holiday snaps that she spotted the large black object in the sky. Her mother Sonia said they have no idea what it is and think it may be proof of extraterrestrial life. Mrs Barnes said: "We were visiting my grandchildren in Falmouth on a week's holiday at the end of July. "Georgia was just taking pictures on her phone and we didn't think anything of it until a few weeks later. "She showed me the picture on Thursday and we had no idea what the black thing was. It's not a bird or a plane or a helicopter and it's only in some of the pictures. "Because we don't know what it is, I guess that makes it a UFO – it's an unidentified flying object. "I went on Google and searched for other sightings and I found one in Gainsborough that looks just like it." Mrs Barnes said before she saw the picture she was skeptical of life from other planets but the experience has made her think twice. "I didn't really believe in aliens or anything like that but this has made me change my mind," she said.

The Lysander Time Slip: By Alien Bill Rooke

The Lysander Time Slip: By Alien Bill Rooke

The Lysander Arms, a pub in York previously known as the Caravan Club, is now named after an old RAF aircraft called the Lysander, a reconnaissance plane used in World War II. The pub is situated on an old airfield previously used as an aircraft repair station. On the 3rd June 2011 I visited the pub which I have done for many years. For a long time prior to this particular visit I had filmed many strange anomalies at different locations in and around York. This night proved to be no exception and in a genuinely extraordinary way. I arrived at the pub around 6.00pm and spent some time with Dave Aker, his wife Chris and members of their family including their very young granddaughter. Dave and Chris are part owners of the bar, which belongs to their family. Other guys were drinking with me at the bar and later on that evening one of them said to me. “Alien Bill, you rarely stay in this pub until it shuts”. I replied jokingly, that if I did something strange may happen, as it’s happened to me a lot lately. The guy replied, “Oh, that CGI stuff you do on your computer,” to which I replied, “I wouldn’t have a clue how to do that”. Later on in the evening, just before 9-30 pm, I got off my stool at the bar to go to the toilet. When I came out moments later I looked around the bar and spotted a strange light at the window next to the pool table. I then mentioned to the lads who were there, that I was going to take a picture of this window with my basic Fuji digital camera and we would see what happened. I took several pictures at the window, and a very peculiar light form appeared on the screen at the back of the camera. One guy mentioned he thought the flashes were white on a camera and he had spotted a blue light appearing. This blue light has appeared with me on many occasions. Immediately I showed the guys the strange pictures and they were shocked. As you can see in the pictures, there is a strange light form that has appeared just on the outside of the window to the right hand side. This at least proved to those present I wasn’t using any form of CGI. The next day printed them off in A4 size and returned to the pub that evening to check the pictures out. A few of the lads from the previous night, who had seen me take the pictures of the window, were there to check them out. I was shocked and shouted out. ”Something’s not right here”. One lad said, “Too right, what the heck did you film at that window”? I said.” I have no idea, but it’s even stranger because the whole window is a different design”. It had wooden tongue-and-groove paneling with chrome clasps and a totally different design of blind. was recently reported to me by the manager that some of the regulars claim to have seen horses passing through the pub, interestingly enough over 50 years ago there was in fact a riding school located on the airfield, perhaps this can explain the otherwise inexplicable sighting. Other strange things have been seen there, but nothing compared with what occurred with the window. The window was not in this timeline. This is one of around 75.000 pictures of strange lights and anomalies I have taken over the years. The research on this bizarre incident is still ongoing. Maybe someday soon we will find the answer to what occurred at the Lysander Pub on the evening of the 3rd June 2011.

because the whole window is a different design”. It had wooden tongue-and-groove paneling with chrome clasps and a totally different design of blind. The entity at the window in the second photo is just starting to fade away. Looking at the reflection from the window you can clearly see the bar and the lights in the ceiling above the pool table and the TV screen also shows what was on the TV at the time. A reflection of the present in the past. I had a chat with the owners and they don’t remember ever having a window of that design in the pub. You can also clearly see from the other photos, that the window should have had wallpaper and burgundy coloured curtains around it.

In December 2014 I took Nick Kyle to the Lysander Arms. Nick Kyle is a good friend of mine from Glasgow who is the president of the Scottish Society for Psychical research (SSPR) who investigates psychic phenomena. He said he could clearly see it was a different window. I am currently writing a book about my strange visits from light forms. Nick suggested I might call this chapter in my book ‘The Lysander Time Slip’, something that resonated with me immediately, as a ‘time slip’ appears to be what has happened. The owners have asked if I would put up a photo and plaque in the pub next to the window to record this strange event. The pub itself is said to be haunted and it 45

‘Bill Rooke has been taking unusual photographs for many years. Some of which have been passed to Phenomena Magazine owner Steve Mera who under SEP (The Scientific Establishment of Parapsychology) are currently examining them. The photographs show what looks like unusual light formations, cloudy patches of mist and other anomalies. At this time, SEP have not concluded as to what these anomalies are and how they have been produced. Further study and possible test procedures may be required to take place. As for the photograph above, the most interesting aspect is that of the window reflection of (what looks like) a hooded cloak of some sort. More will be revealed in time’… Steve Mera.

‘Filmish’ Edward Ross Self Made Hero 978-1-910593-03-5 UK £14.99, US $24.95, Can $29.95

Once again publishers ‘Self Made Hero’ excel with this remarkable new book about the history of cinema, which takes the reader on a journey beginning with the Lumiere brothers right through to the high frame-rate (HFR), digital 3D wizardry of modern cinematic techniques. The author/illustrator, Edward Ross, uses each carefully themed chapter to illustrate just how cinema has changed the way in which we see the world around us. He does it by selecting such cinematic icons as ‘The Battleship Potempkin’, ‘Modern Times’ ‘Peeping Tom’, ‘Blade Runner’, ‘2001, A Space Odyssey’, ‘Aliens’, ‘A Clockwork Orange’, ‘Taxi Driver’ an d literally dozens more. He also looks at examples of blatant propaganda such as Leni Riefenstahl’s 1935 Nazi promoting, ‘The Triumph of The Will’ and ‘Top Gun. Re Top Gun, he also mentions, quite rightly, that the US military will flatly refuse any assistance to filmmakers who do not portray it in the most flattering light: something that the makers of the truly remarkable ‘Apocalypse Now’ found to their cost . Just about every filmic genre is used, encompassing everything from horror and sci-fi to examples of sheer spectacle and the really important thing is that the book really does grip the reader with its ability to present a fresh insight on each and every page. This book is a bold and refreshing overview of an entertainment medium that has become part and parcel of our lives and may even have affected what we do and how we think, first class riveting stuff.

The Secret Space Age: Secret Space Programs, Breakaway Civilizations, Nazi UFO’s, SDI and Alternative Three Author: Olav Phillips Publisher: Adventures Unlimited Press ISBN: ISBN-13: 978-1939149428 Price: $18.95 Reviewer: Bret Lueder lueder@esotericguide.com Ever hear of a “breakaway civilization?” What about a secret Space Program? How about Alternative Three? If you’re curious, you should get a copy of The Secret Space Age: Secret Space Programs, Breakaway Civilizations, Nazi UFO’s, SDI and Alternative Three by Olav Phillips (2015). Here’s why: First, world governments have been preparing for a global disaster so large that they ha ve built a portable civilization—a start-up if you will—in order to supposedly preserve modern society and culture. It’s called a “breakaway civilization.” And you’re not supposed to know about it because there will be only enough resources to support a sparse population afterwards. Guess who these survivors will be? You guessed it, not you. Second, within Alternative Three there were found plans to build space bases on the Moon and Mars that would house escapees of this disaster. In fact, Phillips uncovered evidence to suggest that these governments have been implementing thes e secret space program plans since at least the 1950’s. This is why Philips wrote the book so that he could disseminate this knowledge for the benefit of all. Humanities’ future is being decided, says Philips, so as to preserve an elitist culture in a type of “endgame” for our world as we know it. Said Phillips, “I wanted to share that endgame so maybe we can at least be active participants in it.”

The Moon Hides a Secret - Apollo: A Mission of Deception. Simon Lewis Trafford 13 9781490756349 £6.91

Simon Lewis: "When I was a child I loved looking at the stars. The Moon was always my favourite. It was so close, yet so far away. Its presence was always a wonderful sight to see. Sometimes it would glow and other times show its cratered surface. I felt a connection, whilst being entranced by its beauty. To walk on the Moon must have been awesome and at the same time mesmerising. When the space race started and the first probes reached the Moon and people walked upon it s surface, it was no longer a secret place. Slowly reports started to surface of strange occurrences, anomalies, conversations, pictures and even film. All this was to feed an interest far greater than I ever expected. We were not the first visitors and it was best to keep the secrets than tell the world. We are not alone!" Steve Mera - Phenomena Magazine: “For me, it’s difficult not to be bias here, as Moon Mysteries are one of my favourite topics. I simply find such things fascinating. To start, the author Simon Lewis has certainly found a gap in the market with this book, as there are not that many publications on this particular subject. The Moon is almost hypnotic, clouded in mystery and speculated to be a focal point of UFO activity, ancient structures and many other anomalies. Simon has done a fantastic job of brining some of the most profound experiences to light during the Apollo missions to the Moon. This book grabs your attention immediately and does not release it until you’ve finished reading the last page. A fully enjoyable read in its most simplistic sense. Easy to understand, well researched and pleasing on the eye. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and it makes a great research tool as well. The book includes some truly profound transcripts between NASA and its astronauts, photographs and sketches. After reading this book, you may never look at the Moon in the same light... A great book that’s well worth the purchase. I particularly liked the hardback version with its incredible and simple cover. The whole book shouts ‘mystery’ and ‘cover-up’. And I think the strange things that surround the Moon are not likely to give up their secrets soon. Grab yourself a copy today, you won’t be disappointed”.

Movie & Documentary Reviews

Title: Ancient Alien Agenda: Aliens and UFOs Actors: Jason Martell Format: DVD Boxset Running Time: 300 Minutes. Price: £17.99 on Amazon There is startling evidence that we were visited by intelligent beings in the ancient past. Why were they here and what was t heir agenda? Zecharia Sitchin is the author of the hugely successful book series The Earth Chronicles. Join this amazing scholar of ancient mysteries as he makes a scientific and scholarly argument for Ancient Alien visits to Earth. Sitchin was born in Russia, raised in Palestine and graduated from the University of London. He worked for years as a journalist and editor in Israel before settling in New York. Sitchin, like Velikovsky and Von Daniken, gives a compelling and entertaining presentation detailing evidence that Ancient Aliens from other worlds have not only visited the earth but plan to RETURN. Sitchin s theories are based on his belief that some ancient myths are not myths at all but historical and scientific texts. According to Sitchin, the ancient Sumerian clay tablets discovered in the early 1900 s reveal that gods from another planet called Nibiru arrived on Earth some 450,000 years ago. The ancient Sumerians knew of this planet of the gods, that Sitchin termed the 12th Planet. Learn of a time when there were extra-terrestrials among us and how they helped advance our civilization, as well as how they plan to return in the future.

UFOs: Unsolved Mysteries 4 B0002DRDWI £24.33 on Amazon

This is the first of several 'best of' DVD collections from the mega-successful Unsolved Mysteries television series. There are 26 thought provoking UFO stories featured here totaling over 360 minutes. Bonuses include a touching tribute to the late Robert Stack, commentaries on selected segments, and a behind-the-scenes look at the 150th solved mystery. This set is unique in that despite one's personal opinion on UFOs, these stories are grandly entertaining thanks to the fantastic re-enactments and first person accounts. This show was truly ahead of it's time in terms of the vast array of mysteries it covered and the groundbreaking special effects that it employed (which still hold up today). I must admit that watching these tales again gave me chills before going to sleep, and I can usually sit through the scariest horror film without flinching. I suppose it's the knowledge that such phenomena have been documented by people from all walks of life that makes it hard to ignore as simply fantasy. My only real gripe about this set was that as a fan of the series, I missed seeing and hearing the classic 'Unsolved Mysteries' opening sequence. What's presented on these discs is the re-worked opening and ending credits from the Lifetime channel repeats. No big deal to casual fans, but die hard fans will surel y miss it. Overall, this was a terrific inaugural release in a slew of DVD collections from one of the best TV shows of all time!

Title: UFOs in South America Released by: UFOTV ASIN: B003W4GDN4 Price: £9.64 on Amazon

"UFOs in South America" is a DVD brought to us by UFOTV. The first episode, which deals mostly with Ecuador and Brazil, is available free on Youtube. The second part about Mexico and Mayan prophecies is only available on this DVD, so unfortunately I haven't seen it. This review is therefore based on the first part only. I admit I was fascinated by UFOTV:s magnum opus "Out of the Blue". "UFOs in South America" is built around the same concept: military personnel and other respectable people talk about their UFO encounters (occasionally spectacular ones), and it turns out that government authorities habitually classify UFO observations and even videos of purported UFOs sent in by the public. In Ecuador, investigate reporter Jaime Rodriguez waged a sustained battle to get his government to declassify UFO reports. His dream finally came true when President Rafael Correa appointed an official UFO investigation, giving Rodriguez full access to previously classified material. A kind of Condon Committee in reverse, since Rodriguez is a "true believer" rather than a sceptic - he sounds new agey and believes in Mayan prophecies about a shift in consciousness around 2012. Some kind of political conflicts between Ecuador and the United States are hinted at. President Correa is left-wing and closed down all CIA operations in Ecuador, which coincided with his sudden pro-ufology turn. Interestingly, Rodriguez had also tried to lobby a previous left-wing president, Lucio Gutiérrez (who later turned to the right). The documentary hints at an explanation: the demand to classify all UFO reports came from the United States military. With a more nationalist government firmly in place, the secrecy could be broken. I admit that I'm somewhat ambivalent towards the evidence shown in this documentary. Some of the UFO footage is just too good to be true! Footage, as we know, can be faked - not to mention the staggering amount of ridiculous flying objects humanity sends up into the air every day... Perhaps it's just me, but somehow I found the oral testimony of the military pilots more convincing . Why would an experienced military pilot lie about being worsted by fast, luminous objects in the sky? The fact that both the US and other governments habitually classify UFO observations is also intriguing. Somehow, that doesn't square with the official scepticism towards the phenomenon... The most sensational part of "UFOs in South America" is about Brazil. The Brazilian military supposedly organized a veritable exploration of the Amazon in search of UFOs. They found lots and lots of them, and even made contact with the aliens, at which point the Brazilian high command ordered the investigation to stop! The problem? This "Operation Prato" is still classified, so nobody can talk about it openly... I'm not sure how to assimilate the Hispanic flying saucer situation, but one thing's for sure. The Condon Committee really is yesterdays news...

Boleyn Paranormal are a small family team based in Essex England; they have been together for twelve years. The team consists of 5 core members who consist of Helena, Chelsea, Liz, Alex and Nick. They strive to prove the existence of life after death. They respect the dead and speak to them as human beings and try to use techniques that make them unique, such as playing music, leaving gifts for the spirits and pagan rituals. They keep an open mind but at the same time a sceptical mind which they believe to be important as a lot of people let their imaginations run away with them. If an investigator hears a noise, or experiences something, they always try to debunk it and find a normal explanation for what happened. They never fake evidence, and show people exactly what their findings are. If they see/find nothing then that is what it reported and documented. Helena: The founder of Boleyn Paranormal, Lead Investigator and Medium. Also the team’s equipment tech. She has been running ‘her’ team since the age of 14. Although she is a medium, she prefers the team to keep investigations scientific. On many occasions she has given names before they start investigating and then the team have had the same names given over E.V.P and the P-SB7 Spirit Box as well as having the names confirmed by locations although she knows nothing on the locations themselves. Chelsea: Is a very close friend of Helena’s, they grew up together from a young age, both have always been interested in the paranormal. Chelsea is the teams Co-founder, E.M.F and K2 expert. At almost all investigations she is the one who gets communication through these devices. She is a very loyal team member and is more than happy to brave locations alone. Liz: Is Helena’s mother, she has been with the team from the start, she is the teams catering manager and investigator. Although she is not the bravest of people she is willing to give anything a try and to go off alone if she has to. She has always stood behind Helena through the start of the team and is never stopped being there for the team and Helena. Alex: Is Helena’s husband and has been in the team for 6 years. He is the team’s location manager and investigator. Both Alex and Helena go through the evidence after investigations and then edit the footage for their show. He has been to many locations and is still shocked at the things Helena picks up, and at the evidence they get. He is happy to enter locations on his own and wants the proof that life after death exists. He tries not to let his imagination get the best of him and therefore seeks logical explanations for events. Nick: Is like a father to Helena, he is an investigator for the team and has only been with the team for five years. He had his first experience with the team on his first investigation at Michelham Priory where he saw a young boy sitting on a seat in front of him swinging his legs. He is now a believer and wants to know more.

The author of this incredible book first contacted SEP - (The Scientific Establishment of Parapsychology) back in 2004 and made some rather fantastic claims; that he had the ability to predict future events. The authors precognitive ability seemed to be themed around acts of terrorism and natural disasters. He also claimed that numerology was prominent in his life coupled with profound incidents of synchronicity and coincidences. At this point SEP opened a case and instructed him to document his experiences and send them via electronic means, so to be time and date stamped. This process could easily be constructed, the means of e-mailing SEP with regular information to which he has been doing since early 2004. Under normal circumstances, most individuals that contact SEP are often deluding themselves in regards their abilities. Very rarely do we have a potential candidate to study over a long duration. 'Extraordinary claims deserve extraordinary evidence'. Since the founding of SEP in 1996, we have had very few people contact us in regards having themselves tested, monitored or recorded in hope of an extrasensory perception manifesting. Rarely do parapsychological departments and/or organization’s have such people contact them. Most, usually contact the newspapers, magazines, TV shows or radio stations in hope of jumping on the poorly scientific media train. Since 2004 SEP have performed statistical analysis on many of his claims and found a large number of them to be significantly below chance factor. He had shown consistency in his results... Results that will amaze you, as they did the researchers. This incredible book is just one year through the eyes of the author and how he managed to cope with such an incredible yet profound psychic intrusion‌ An absolutely 'Must Read! - Steve Mera: SEP Founder. 52
