Trust Staff Awards 2022-23

We know our colleagues throughout the Marches Academy Trust work hard, they are the beating heart of our family of schools, and this year we introduced the Trust Staff Awards to celebrate their achievements. This was an opportunity for all colleagues to come together and celebrate the remarkable achievements of our staff who have truly shone throughout the year. The concept saw colleagues nominate a person for each category themed around our Trust values. The shortlisted top five finalists for each category then went to a Trust-wide vote.

Fiona MacDonald

Trust Excellence Award

Showcasing Impact | "Fiona works with a specific group of students who have a range of needs and challenges. She has identified areas of SEND and medical needs that require further investigation and has worked closely with parents to ensure they are investigated. She produced an ARP project on Stimming and presented this in whole staff in training. She is leading on the interventions within the HUB and her dedication is improving the offer and the students’ experiences at school "

Dan Hussey

Trust Integrity Award

Going Above and Beyond | "Dan is to be commended for his dedication and selflessness in giving up weekends and after school time to run the DofE award. Alongside the admin side of the award Dan has taken it upon himself to offer training weekends to ensure the students are prepared for their qualifying expedition His commitment to inspiring and supporting the participants in the program has undoubtedly made a positive impact on the lives of many students in the school, building their confidence, skills and character. The students would miss out on an incredible opportunity without Dan!"

Dan Lloyd-Williams

Trust Empathy Award

Most Caring Employee | "Dan does a fabulous job of looking after our team. No matter what the issue, he is always keen to help out and get problems resolved - all the while with a laugh and smile.
