Prologue
The day was dawning, on the horizon the sky began to turn orange indicating that it would be a beautiful sunny day that summer morning. King Túlion, who after the last battle in the Valley of the Deep Throat, where he won the victory over the army of the Red Warrior Woman, was now called the Túlion, the Fearful. And the years ahead would show the people of Theranã how their new king would become fearsome to them all. After capturing the Red Warrior Woman and destroying his army, King Túlion the Fearful went to the circle of stones that was called the Stones of Life. There he met his Black Druid for a ritual that would make them live for a thousand years. The king looked at the beautiful woman who was lying on the large stone table that stood in the middle of the circle of the Stones of Life. She was breathing hard, her gaze fixed on the sky, but all she saw was a white spot. She felt that life was leaving her body and could do nothing to avoid, in a short time she would be dead. The Black Druid had made a cut on each wrist, where all the blood in his body was gone. The king looked at the circle of stones and felt victorious. Since he met the Black Druid eleven years ago, and he promised to make him live for a thousand years, he had dreamed of that moment ever since. To have the power not only for one or two generations, but for several, to be able to live forever. That was the promise of the Black
Druid to a 17-year-old boy. And he would get that power through that circle. The circle where the ritual was to be performed was called the Stones of Life and was in the Danley Region. He had existed in the Kingdom of Theran達 since the foundation of the world. They were put there by the first White Druids for the purpose of capturing the first light of the sun for a particular ritual. With much effort and work, they took the stones to that place and formed a circle with them and then carved them in various ways, some larger than the others, others pointed or straight at the ends, but all were flat in front and behind and in the rectangular format. They also carved a stone table in the middle of the circle. The stones were used to prolong the lives of the Druids in times past. They used an herb that was very rare in Theran達 and the sunlight for this ritual. But a long time ago, a druid dared to do a ritual for him to live forever, combining the herb, the circle of stones, and the blood of a Red Warrior Woman. The Red Warrior Woman was a special woman who was only born in Theran達 every thousand years. The druids prevented him from doing the ritual and after that King Afonso forbade anyone to use the stones again. As time passed, the inhabitants of Theran達 no longer believed in the story of the Stones of Life, for they were no more than a legend, no one believed that they really had the power to prolong a person's life. Two thousand years have passed since King Afonso forbade the Druids to use the Stones of Life for the ritual. At that time a White Druid searched for many years about them in the Cardin books, the Servants' books, the books
where everything was written about the stories and the lives of the people of Theranã, and he came to believe in the power they had. This man had a bad heart and eventually became a black heart. Thus, that White Druid became the first Black Druid of the Kingdom of Theranã. A druid of evil is not born with a black heart, he is acquiring as evil is taking his heart. And so it was with the first Black Druid. And over time he got more White Druids to go to the evil side and become Black Druids. In time the Kingdom of Theranã was taken by these druids of evil. All these druids wanted was to discover the name of the herb that was used in the Ritual of Life. The name of the herb had been taken from the Cardin books at the behest of King Apolon. That is why after two thousand years, since the last Life Ritual, no one knew which herb was used to perform the ritual. Two thousand years passed, until one day a Black Druid could discover the herb that was used in the Ritual of Life. This druid was what was helping King Túlion. This Black Druid was born as Quirino and belonged to the Thiran Family, a highly respected family in the Danley Region. The Thiran Family belonged to the Doms who swore allegiance to the Prince of the Danley Region, who in turn swore loyalty to King Aderbaldo, who was the father of the then King Túlion. King Aderbaldo was loved and respected by all in Theranã. He was a righteous king, as there had never been in Theranã. That is why he was known throughout the kingdom as King Aderbaldo, the Just. The king had two sons, Ricardy the Warrior, who was married and had two children, a four-year-old girl and a boy who was still a baby when he died in his crib on the day that
King Túlion executed his revenge on the Which he hated. The other son was Túlion, the Servant, as he was known in his youth, but he never liked being called that. Who gave him this nickname was his brother Juliano. When Túlion went to live in the Monastery of the Servants, he spent hours reading the Cardin books of the Servants. He lived for a year in the Servants' Monastery on the Korin Islands, in the remote Korin Region. It was where he read about the Black Druids and the Ritual of Life. After the Great War, the Black Druid knew that his family was doomed to death. The Thiran family stood by the side of Prince Bramir, who fought alongside the Red Warrior Woman's army. And he knew that King Túlion would not forgive any of his enemies. So he knew that when the king began to punish his enemies, he would no longer have a family. But he did not care about that detail, he never cared for his family or even them with him. The Black Druid was the fifth child of a family of seven children. From an early age he had to take care of himself and dedicated himself to the Servo Domes service in the City of Somerset on the banks of the River Toren. He never wanted to be a warrior like some of his brothers. Years later he became a Servant Copilam and went to live in the Monastery of the Servants in the Korin Islands. And it was during the reading of Cardin's books that he discovered his true vocation, to be a Black Druid. For many years he researched all about these evil druids. When he was at the age of 20, he left the monastery and isolated himself on one of the Korin Islands, where he began his Black Druid trajectory. He began experimenting with various formulas
with plants, herbs, leaves and flowers from that region. Formulas that would help him in his evils. He stayed secluded on this island for five years. In one of his clandestine visits to the Monastery of the Servants, he met the young Túlion, then 17 years old. And during their conversations they realized that they had something in common. They wanted power. Túlion knew he could only take revenge on the people he hated if he had power. And it was with the help of the Black Druid that Túlion began to plot his revenge against all he hated. And shortly thereafter, with the help of the Black Druid and an army of mercenaries, he got what he wanted. But now he was no longer that skinny 18-year-old kid, when he murdered his entire family and became the King of Theranã. As soon as he became king, he hired the best swordsmen of Theranã, the Leatis Men, who lived in the City of Montevida, in the Region of Passadini. The Leatis were the best swordsmen teachers in the kingdom. For years King Túlion learned the art of fencing with several of Montevida's teachers. He has turned into a great warrior. Over time he gained muscle in the lean body he once had. His shoulders were broad, with strong arms and a broad chest. King Túlion has always been a handsome man like all men in the Suloen family. But with the training and confidence he got over the years, he was even more handsome. She had curly blond hair that wrapped around her head, which was always adorned with her crown, which she only took to sleep. The crown of King Túlion was the most beautiful jewel of all the Kingdom of Theranã. It was made of gold and
had nine points, representing the nine Regions of Theranã. Beneath each end was a precious stone of a different color, made especially for the king's crown. The white stone represented the Pholari Region with its ever white lands because of the snow that falls all year round. The green stone representing the Region of Broden because of the Stranded Forest, famous in the kingdom for being the place with the highest concentration of wolves. The brown stone representing the Danley Region with the famous Stones of Life. The red stone representing the Region of Solares, the red symbolized the blood of the warriors killed in the Great War that happened at the beginning of the reign of the King Túlion. The black stone representing the Region of Passadini, because of the black earth that surrounds the Bottomless Lake. The yellow stone represents the region of Groten, the region with the richest domains of Theranã, the richest region of the Kingdom of Theranã. The yellow stone represents the region of Andarin, representing the most famous city of its region, the Luz City. The blue stone representing the Region of Quiera, the blue was because of Blue Lake, with its waters always so clear that reflected the blue of the sky. King Túlion felt even more handsome with his crown on his head. And to further complete her beauty, she had little eyes like a fox, and blues the color of Theranã's sky in the summer season. He had a thin, smooth golden beard framing his handsome face. And for a thousand years he would look like that. It would not grow old any day, it would not have a wrinkle on her pretty face. It would have been 28 years for a thousand years.
After remembering everything that had happened until that moment, the king left the table and looked at the forest that surrounded the circle of stones. All the paineiras were flowery at that time of year, their colors colored the landscape. Everything was calm, the wind did not blow and so the trees were calm, no leaf swayed in their bowls. He looked up and saw the first rays of the sun beginning to touch the tips of the great stones. They were dyed a beautiful golden color. King TĂşlion was amazed at what he saw. "We must begin now, Your Majesty." The king looked at the druid still amazed by the spectacle witnessed. "We must remove the body of the warrior woman from the table, Your Majesty," the Black Druid informed the king. The king helped the Druid remove the lifeless body of the Red Warrior Woman from the table and set it down. This was the woman who, with courage and determination, joined half the men of TheranĂŁ and formed a great army. She fought in various battles and was only captured because she was betrayed. Betrayed by someone you trust. The Black Druid helped the king take off his royal clothes. Naked, the king lay down on the stone table that was bathed like the blood of the warrior woman. The druid took the dagger he used to cut the arms of the warrior woman and cut a small cut in the two arms of the king, who looked worried for the cuts that began to bleed. Blood began to join the warrior woman's on the stone table. The druid saw the look of concern of the king. "Do not worry, Your Majesty. Soon the blood will stop."
And that's what happened. Now they would just have to wait for the sun's rays to touch the stone table. Shortly afterwards, when the sun's rays touched all the stones in the circle, the king cried out as he felt the burning of his body. He felt as if his whole body was on fire. But even as he felt all this pain, the king stood firmly on the table. He knew that would happen, had already been alerted by the Black Druid. Slowly the burning sensation passed and he felt as if his body was renewing, closed his eyes and could feel the vitality of the Red Warrior's blood to go through his body and strengthen it. Still on the glow of the sun's rays on the table, the king left her. Now it would be the turn of the Black Druid. The druid would use the vitality of the king, who was now in the blood on the stone table, to also get the thousand years of life, he would join his blood with his. So the Black Druid would be linking his life to the king's life, he would only die if the king died. After the ritual there would only be a way for the king to die if they cut off his head. The druid also undressed, laid down on the table, and cut each arm. He also felt his body burning and when the burning stopped, he knew the ritual had worked. A little later the two men left the circle of stones. A man who watched the whole scene behind one of the trees walked quickly to the stone table. He looked at the floor and saw the lifeless body of the Red Warrior Woman, he touched her face and looked at her with regret. He loved her like a daughter. He promised in thought that he would avenge his death. She got up and looked at the table, saw that it was too short for the sun's rays to touch her any more. He had to be quick. He quickly took off his white
robe and lay naked on the table. He sliced each arm and as soon as his blood gathered with the blood of the Black Druid, he began to feel the burning. And so he linked his life with the life of the evil druid. Now he was the only one who could disrupt the plans of King TĂşlion, the Dread, and his Black Druid. He just did not expect that he would have to wait so long for his revenge.
Chapter 1 Ambush
One thousand years later Sir Brandon Heat's mission had been a failure. Days before, Dom Acelo Catan ordered him to pick five men from his army and go to Bones Beach. The beach was named so because of a battle that took place in its white sands a thousand years ago during the Great War. Many warriors died in this battle and their bodies were exposed to predators and time. Days later, when the families arrived at the beach to take the bodies to be buried, they found only bones by all the beach. They could not recognize the bodies of their relatives, so they made a large ditch near the beach and buried all bodies together. Since then the beach has become known as Bones Beach. Sir Brandon's mission was to go to Bones Beach to get some men coming from the Korin Islands to reinforce Dom Acelo Catan's army. But when they got to the beach there was no ship with men waiting for them. Brandon and the five men waited for the reinforcement for two days, but as the ship did not appear, Brandon decided to return to the camp around Midmar. Leaving the beach that morning, Brandon felt that
something was wrong, he asked the five men to be very careful and to be alert for any strange movement during the return trip. The Heat family was sworn to Dom Acelo Catan more than a thousand years ago. Before the Great War the regions were ruled by a powerful family, which was chosen by a king. The rulers of the regions were called princes, for they became symbolically sons of the king and helped them to care for the inhabitants of their regions. In each region, besides the princes, there were also the doms, nobles and peasants. The families of the doms swore loyalty to the princes. Nobles, families with less possessions than doms and princes, swore allegiance to doms, and peasants worked or were slaves to princes, doms, and nobles. The marriages could only be realized of families of princes with families of princes, doms with doms, nobles with nobles and peasants with peasants. It was forbidden to marry outside this hierarchy, with the death penalty for the couple and a severe fine for the couple's family. This law was imposed by a king many years ago because his only daughter fell in love with a nobleman and to force her not to make a mistake, he made that law. But his daughter married the nobleman, and the king had to execute the law, and had them hanged in the great square which was in the royal city of Sabrin, where the king ruled the whole kingdom of TheranĂŁ. Since then a marriage has never been held in TheranĂŁ outside of that hierarchy. Brandon's family, the Heat family, were a family of nobles who lived in the City of Kalebe, a seaside town in the Broden Region. The Hall of the Heat family stood on a
cliff and at the foot of the cliff stood the city. The Heat family was sworn to the Catan family who ruled the City of Midmar. Brandon had been in Dom Acelo's army since he was 13, he was one of Dom Acelo's squires. Brandon had a great friendship for the gift, whom he saw as a father. Brandon's father, Brenon Heat, died when he was 13 years old. Days after his father's death, Brandon's brother handed him over to Acelo to be his squire. His father died during a battle against the army of Dom Forgan Baine, enemy of Acelo family. Now it was his older brother, Bionor Heat, who commanded the Heat family. His brother was married and had three children. Brandon's mother died when he was 10, a very tragic moment for the Heat family. All Brandon knew as a family was Dom Acelo's army, where he had been for eleven years. The rivalry between the Dom Acelo and Forgan came from many years ago. 400 years ago, the last descendant of the Broden Region princes, who lived in Midmar, died without leaving an heir. Thus ending with the lineage of the princes in the Region of Broden. At other times, if that happened, the king would choose another family to become prince of that region, because the title of prince could only be passed from father to son. But since King TĂşlion had ended the power of the princes after the Great War, he did not think it more important to appoint princes to the regions. As a result, Broden's two richest doms began to fight for the right to become the next prince. It was an unimportant war for King TĂşlion, he did not care about these battles of power. Since the Great War the princes no longer had the power of before, and had been banished
from the Royal Council. The Royal Council was held to advise the king on the affairs of the kingdom. Formerly the nine princes, the White Druid, the Old Servant, the Celestial Guard commander, and the treasurer of the kingdom participated in these councils. But a thousand years ago the Royal Councils were held with the presence of the commander of the Celestial Guard, the Black Druid, the only person from whom the king accepted advice, the treasurer and the captain of the Torment Prison, which was a city in the Andarin, which had been turned into a prison city. All the prisoners of TheranĂŁ were taken to the Torment Prison. It was a city with a great wall and many guards, which was turned into a prison. The commander of the Celestial Guard only participated in the councils to execute the orders of the king. Now all the doms swore loyalty directly to the king, and the princes could no longer summon an army. For this reason the king did not meddle in the battles of doms. It was not only the Broden Region that was at war, other regions also had their disputes. But the king did not mind, he only intervened when his government was threatened. So he did not answer the various messages for help from Dom Forgan Baine. As the five men walked through the Stranded Forest, between Bones Beach and the City of Midmar, they were alert to every noise they heard. Brandon still felt that something was wrong, could not see the moment to leave the forest and reach the mediations of Midmar where was the army of Dom Acelo and next to him to discover what had happened to the reinforcement that the nobleman of Karin had promised. The forest was agitated that night,
which for want of the moon was even darker. Noises from the nocturnal animals and the waters of the Fion River were constantly heard by men. This made Brandon even more cautious, and Black Torment needed all his animal instinct to walk in that strong darkness. As they approached the Fion River, Brandon decided to set up camp on his bank until dawn, because of the darkness. "Let's stop and wait for the day to clear to continue the trip, it's too dark and we can get lost or one of the horses can fall into some gorge and break a leg." The five men set up the camp on the banks of the Fion River and set a campfire to keep the chill out of the night. Brandon turned away from the men and leaned against a thick dragon tree that stood near the bank of the river and stared from a distance at the five men who surrounded the small fire. Three of them lay on the floor and slept peacefully, two were talking about one debt to one another. Brandon looked up at the sky and sighed, it would be a long night. They did not seem to see any problem with what had happened at Bones Beach. Brandon felt the air was heavy, it always indicated something was about to happen. So he resolved to keep his eyes and ears very attentive. Brandon turned back to the men and remembered his two battlesmen, men who were sworn to him. The first man to swear allegiance to Brandon was his childhood friend, Dulon Gailon the Falcon. Brandon had known him since he was a child, and Dulon's family took care of some of his family's lands. Dulon came from a peasant family. They were not slaves, but laborers who could take a small part of what they reaped. When he was just a boy, Dulon took a
hawk's cub and raised him as a pet. Since then, Brandon has come to call him Dulon the Falcon. In the years that created the hawk, Dulon learned how the animal hunted. And he learned from the bird how to become one of the best hunters of men. He knew how to lurk his prey and the right moment to attack. Because of this ability, Brandon always put him to watch. Besides being a great lookout, Dulon was also a great archer. When he entered the army of Dom Acelo, he trained with the best archers and perfected himself. He always had his bow and arrows in his back. Dulon and Brandon were the same age, 24 years old. He had a dark, strong, masculine body. In his square face, the round green eyes stood out. Her hair was short and gold. The second man who swore loyalty to him was Tusalen Heat, the Gentile. He was 25 years old and had two women, the only women he had in his life. He was called the Gentile for having married the only two women with whom he lay. He carried the women where he went, never leaving them behind. He was a handsome, tall man like Brandon and Dulon. Tusalen had long brown hair that went up to the waist, were flat and thin. Like Brandon and Dulon, he was also strong and muscular. His brown eyes and gentle smile enchanted his two women. Tusalen was generous, all the spoils of battle he shared with his women. When Tusalen reached Dom Acelo's army in search of Brandon with two women at his side, asking him to accept him as one of his men, Brandon wanted to know how he had come to that situation. Brandon knew that Tusalen was a Kalebe Servant, and that the Servants could not have wives, let alone two. Tusalen told Brandon how it all began.
At age 13, Tusalen decided to be a Servant Domes of Kalebe. As the third child, the father did not care, since the other two were warriors fighting in the army of Dom Acelo. At the time Tusalen had no attraction for women, all he thought about was the job he had as a Servant. When he was 17, he had to write the story of one of the servants who had come to Brandon's father's parlor. She had come from the City of Tarsis, and her coming to the City of Kalebe had to be written in the books that would later go to the Monastery of the Servants and copied to the Cardin books of the inhabitants of Kalebe. The work of the Servants Domes was to write everything that happened to the inhabitants of each city of TheranĂŁ. Then he would make a copy that would be sent to the Monastery of the Servants and copied to the Cardin books. Servants Domes could not leave a record of the history of any person in their city without being written in the books and passed on to the Servants Copilam in the Korin Islands, to do so was unforgivable. Once a year, a Servant Observan arrived in the city to inspect the work of the Servants Domes and take their writings to the monastery. As Tusalen gathered information from the new maid named Savana, he began to have feelings he had never felt before for any woman. Savannah was a beautiful 14-year-old girl with beautiful honey-colored eyes and light brown curly hair. They spent hours talking, until one night the desire of the two passed the conversation and they first loved each other in the little room of groceries in the Kalebe Hall. Tusalen continued as Servant, but could not get Savana out of his head. After that night he never sought her again. A year later Tusalen
had to go to Midmar to buy parchment and paint. Before, he stopped at a tavern called Turtle's Eye and drank a cup of wine. An argument at the table next to him caught her eye. A man was discussing the price of his wife with the owner of the tavern, a fat man with brown spots on his face and arms. Tusalen looked at the woman whose eyes were wet with tears. Realizing that she was being watched, the woman turned her face and looked at Tusalen. In those light blue eyes he had a cry for help. She knew that Tusalen was a Servant Domes because of the brown tunic and the green rope around her waist. Each Servant had the color of the rope indicating his position as Servant. Serves Domes wore the green rope. In the servants watch the rope was red. The color of the Copilam Servant's rope was white and that of the Old Servant, gold. Tusalen could not ignore the woman's plea for help. After everything was settled between the men, the owner of the tavern handed him a sack with some gold coins and the man left. The owner of the tavern looked at the woman and opened her mouth without some teeth in an obscene smile. Tusalen sat down beside the man, startling him. After several hours arguing with the man, Tusalen bought Eliena with the coins that were to buy the parchments and the paints. As he walked back to Kalebe, he wondered all the time why he'd done it, because he simply did not ignore her request and left the tavern. Eliena had not been the first woman she had ever seen sold by a relative. She looked at the arms around her body and felt in her heart that she was special. Although he knew he should not have done what he did, he did not regret it. As they rode toward Kalebe, Eliena told her why her
husband had sold her to the owner of the tavern. They lived with the parents of her husband, where she had seven more people, they worked for one of the nobles of Midmar, but what little they could not do to kill the hunger of all, so her husband decided to sell her to get money and Go to Porto Alegrin to get a job. Eliena was 16 and did not want to be a prostitute in the Turtle Eye tavern. She spent the entire day thanking what Tusalen did. At night Tusalen made a bonfire and put the blankets over for her to lie down. He sat, leaning against a tree. As he sat, Tusalen wondered what he would do to get the money to pay for what he spent buying Eliena. During the night Tusalen saw that the girl was shaking with cold even under the blankets. He lay down next to her to warm her up and hugged her. Elena hugged him too, and without realizing they were kissing and making love. The next morning Tusalen was in love with the girl with big blue eyes and blond hair. When they arrived at Kalebe, he took her to his parents and asked that he let her work as a maid for them. After all settled with his parents, he went to DomĂcio, also Servant Domes in Kalebe. He told her what had happened, but he omitted the part that lay with Eliena. He said he would fight in Dom Acelo's army and would only come back when he had got the coins to pay what he owed. Days later, when she was preparing to leave, Savannah and Eliena appeared at the stable door, each with a bundle in her hands. "We're going with you," Savana said confidently. "We are your women, Tusalen. You can not leave us here."
Tusalen did not want to leave them, he was in love with them both. He even thought about taking one with him, but he could not choose one, he wanted both. So he was very surprised to see the two joints willing to go with him. "I'm going to war," Tusalen said seriously. "We will, too." Savannah was serious now, she would do anything to get him to take them. Tusalen thought for a moment. "Do you promise never to fight and always obey my orders?" "We promised," said the two at the same time, smiling. Tusalen prepared another horse and mounted the two on it. And after seven years the three lived from battle to battle, always together. Years later Tusalen got the coins and returned to the City of Kalebe to pay what he owed, but he was no longer a Servant, he loved the life he had, fighting and being the husband of Savana and Eliena. And during those seven years, Brandon never saw the two women fighting, they were very friendly, and always obeyed the orders of Tusalen. Shortly after joining Brandon's men, Tusalen swore loyalty to Brandon. Tusalen was a distant cousin of Brandon. Remembering all this, Brandon missed his men. They were playful, amusing, but they were always alert. He always trusted the two men during a battle. On the day he left for Bones Beach, to obtain the reinforcement that Dom Acelo needed, they had just arrived from a skirmish with some men of Dom Forgan. He fought one of Dom Forgan's sons, Fulton Forgan, and killed him. In this skirmish Brandon lost his squire, ColĂŠn, a boy of 15
years. He thought of making him a knight, but the stupid one went up to Fulton, Dom Forgan's youngest son, and fought with him, who had much more experience in battle. Brandon saw the fight from a distance as he fought with one of Fulton's men. The knight had only to take three blows to kill the stupid squire. Now Brandon would have to find a new squire. When they arrived at Dom Acelo's camp, his men were tired of the skirmish, so Brandon thought it best that they stay in the camp and decided to go alone with Dom Acelo's five men. The two complained, but Brandon had given an order and they had to comply. They were encamped on the banks of the Fion River, a small tributary of the great Flen River, which cut most of the Broden Region. Brandon looked at the other bank and saw that everything was calm. All that calmness made him even more worried. Between the Fion River and the River Flen was a swamp where hardly an army would hide, but even so Brandon was attentive. Suddenly, Brandon heard the sound of a branch being stepped on, the noise coming from inside the forest. At the sound of the noise he knew that only human feet could break a branch and make that noise. And in the next moment, everything became chaos. It only took time for Brandon to get up quickly, to unsheathe his Warrior's Rage sword and run toward the men coming out of the darkness of the Stranded Forest. Brandon found himself surrounded by two men with large swords, but not as large as Warrior's Fury. The two men left for Brandon at the same time, he managed to defend himself from one and quickly fought with the other.
His sword did not stop, he fought with the two men madly, his attention was totally focused on the two men desperately trying to kill him. One of the men got off balance and he pushed him with his foot, which made him fall. He took advantage and fought quickly with the second and in a moment of distraction from the enemy, hit Warrior's Fury in the arm that he held the sword. Brandon felt as his sword cut through the skin and reached the bone of the man's arm, who dropped his sword and held his arm with his other hand. What a mistake! Brandon quickly swung his sword and cut the throat of the man who fell back still holding the injured arm. Turning his body, he saw the other man standing ready to fight. While fighting with the man, Brandon glanced quickly at where the other men were fighting and mentally counted 15 enemies, counting on the man he had killed. He saw two men struggling with one of Dom Acelo's men and saw the Golden Horse on the shield of one of the enemies. The Golden Horse was the symbol of the Baine family. Those were Dom Forgan's men. Brandon wondered how they knew they would be there? He left to think about it later. At that moment only he and two other men were still alive fighting, one had just died by being pierced by two swords at the same time. Brandon killed the second man and went to third, the fight was not difficult, was a knight with no experience in battle. As soon as he removed Warrior's Fury from the man's body, he felt a burning of the right side of his body. He turned his head slightly and saw the enemy's sword stuck in his back. He saw more men approaching him. He turned to the side and the man withdrew the sword from his body,
and in only one blow he cut off the man's hand. Brandon felt that he would not come out alive from that fight. He ran to the banks of the Fion River and threw his sword into the river. Brandon knew he was going to die, it was just him and one of Dom Acelo's men still alive and struggling, but not for long, the man was surrounded by four enemies. He would have to fight six or seven men who were still alive. He was mortally wounded, he knew he could not get out alive. So he decided to play Warrior's Fury on the river, he would never let that sword be drawn by a man other than himself. Turning to face the enemy, he felt his strength leaving him. He had used the rest of his strength to go down to the river and throw the sword. He walked toward the men who looked at him with amusement on his face. One of the men came up and smiled punching him in the face. Brandon swayed and fell on his face. Before death came he still heard the laughter of the men who began to search the bodies for something of value, to take the clothes and weapons of the dead men. Gradually everything was transformed into silence and darkness.
