Jarred Elrod, form Usa, has been selected as one of the international jurors, in honor of his excellent career as a graphic designer and teacher, famous all over the world. GRAnDe Festival is proud to showcase his works and left him the decision on the best posters in competition.
SHORT BIO Jarred Elrod, MFA | Website: jarredelrod.com Jarred Elrod is an Assistant Professor of Graphic Design at the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida. His work has recently been featured in HOW Magazine, the Texas Biennial, the Bolivia International Poster Biennial, and the Mexican Museum of Design, Mumedi. He has taught Graphic Design as a visiting scholar in China and is currently preparing teach abroad in the Summer of 2020 in Berlin, Germany. When he’s not teaching or making things, he can be found on ambitious road trips with his spouse and their Labrador retriever or sipping hot coffee from his favorite thermos.

Olga Severina, from Urkaine/Usa, has been selected as one of the international jurors, in honor of her excellent career. GRAnDE Festival will showcase her works.
SHORT BIO After obtaining her Ph.D. in Visual Arts Olga became involved with an International EcoPoster Exhibition The 4th Block (Ukraine) and an International Graphic Design Biennale Golden Bee (Russia), where she served as a curator and a selection committee member for a number of years. Currently, Olga works for both poster exhibitions as the traveling exhibit curator in the United States. A few of her latest shows are: The World According to Love (Australia, 2019), Bauhaus 100 (USA, 2019) and The New Winds (co-curated with Majid Abbasi, USA, 2018). A passionate promoter of the contemporary poster, Olga Severina is an author of poster books and catalogs as well as articles for magazines like NESHAN Graphic Design Magazine and AIGA LA chapter blogs, where she explores the latest trends in visual expression. As an artist, Olga Severina participates in a variety of poster shows and exhibitions.

HONORABLE JUROR Paolo Roggero has been selected as one of the international jurors, in honor of his excellent career. GRAnDE Festival will showcase his works.
SHORT BIO Paolo Roggero, was born in Cuneo in 1971, actually lives in Venezia city center. He has been working by: • since 2012 Small Caps - venezia • 2011 Autonomous Freelance - venezia • 2005/2010 Tapiro Design - ve • 2003/2005 Sergio Polano design - ve. He has been a teaching assistant from 2003 to 2005 by iuav university, Venezia, at the Aestethics Class held by prof. Sergio Polano, at the Editorial Class held by prof. Enrico Camplani and at the Experimental Graphic Design Class DeZine held by the graphic designers Leonardo Sonnoli and Pierpaolo Vetta. Small Caps is a graphic design office, working in Venezia since 2012. It’s mainly focused on visual comunication, taking care of all the aspects of the graphic projects: from the early concepts to the management of the press/ publishing phases.

Pepo Almonte, from Mexico, has been selected as one of the international jurors, in honor of his excellent career. GRAnDE Festival will showcase his works.
SHORT BIO Born in Durango, México it’s a multidisciplanary designer since 25 years ago; his posters have been shown in more than fifty exhibitions around the world. Have a bachelor’s degree in graphic design and a postgraduate degree in Science and Arts for Design where he won the Academic Merit Medal, for 19 years he has been a university professor, is an independent researcher on Media Ecology topics on which he has given lectures and workshops in various cities of the country. Pepo is the creator of I LOVE DESIGN DGO, a page in joint social networks with more than eight thousand participants from more than thirty countries that disseminates design content and organizes the monumental poster projection to celebrate World Design Day. As an academic, he designs online content for different universities and writes weekly the Poster Monday on the international poster Poster blog.

In partic., in fisica, nozione inizialmente riferita alla luce, ma che può estendersi a tutto lo spettro delle radiazioni elettromagnetiche e corpuscolari; con riferimento a un corpo, la trasparenza che lo caratterizza è rappresentata dal coefficiente di t., cioè dal rapporto tra l’intensità della radiazione che lo attraversa e quella totale dalla quale il corpo è investito; corpi grigi per t., quelli in cui il coefficiente di trasparenza non dipende dalla lunghezza d’onda; corpi colorati per t., quelli che si lasciano attraversare di preferenza da radiazioni di un determinato colore (per es., i filtri colorati). Nella tecnica pittorica, t. del colore, dei colori, la mancanza di corpo e la luminosità (anche al plur.: le trasparenze del colore). b. In trasparenza, locuz. avv. usata in frasi come guardare in t.
