CASE STUDY - TRUCKING I m p ro v e s F u e l E c o n o m y A Pepsi bottling plant operating a fleet of 100 trucks conducted in-depth validation testing on Xp3 over 5,000 kilometers. Areas tested were fuel consumption, fuel filter condition, oil analysis and effects on fuel injectors. Test results showed savings of 9.49% better fuel economy, fuel injectors became clean of soot and free of carbon and the life expectancy to overhaul engines was extended by 25% with oil analysis, showing 47% less sulfur, 42% less soot, 84% less chrome, 100% less lead and 8.4% less oxidation.

An owner operator of a Peterbilt semi truck and a diesel Dodge pickup truck put Xp3 through the test over thousands of kilometers. His semi truck hauls flatdeck heavy loads, averaging 135,000 lbs and consuming approximately 2,700 imp. gallons of diesel per month. CASE STUDY – HEAVY EQUIPMENT I m p ro v e s F u e l E c o n o m y Centennial Gravel & Excavating operates more than 50 pieces of diesel powered equipment year round. Their primary interests in Xp3 were to reduce fuel costs and improve the operation and extend operating life of their equipment. “We first did a trial test of Xp3 in our diesel pick up trucks and on our first treated tank, we clocked more kilometers than we’ve ever had, prior to treatment. Now, we pre-treat our bulk tanks to extend fuel savings into our entire fleet and after 3 months, we also noticed that our oil stayed cleaner longer,” Noel Petit, co-owner of Centennial Gravel & Excavating Ltd.

Christensen Farms Magrath, AB

Casey Christensen operates a farm in southern Alberta and runs two New Holland combines with identical specs and sequential serial numbers. Validation testing on Xp3 was conducted during the 2014 harvest season, over 145 engine hours, of which 115 were thrashing hours. The two combines ran side by side in the same crops, in the same fields at the same speed. Test results showed better fuel efficiency of 5.49% from the combine using Xp3 treated fuel over the combine that was not using Xp3 treated fuel.

One of our Canadian retail & bulk distributors commissioned Walls Rod Custom to conduct dyno testing on Xp3 to validate Xp3’s claim of producing more power out of fuels. DYNO test results showed increased power when adding Xp3 to diesel. More engine power allows for more distance travelled using less fuel, and less unburnt hydrocarbons coming out of the exhaust as pollution.

The most significant improvement in improved fuel economy was a truck that went from 5.3 mpg to 7.1 mpg. They also gained protection against problems related to biofuels, gelling and filter clogging problems in cold weather operation. Cleaner trailers due to no more black smoke from exhaust stacks, a savings of $80 every time a trailer no longer needed to get washed due to black smoke. Oil changes were stretched out, from 15,000 miles to 23,000 miles using oil sampling analysis. Hamblin Express did their initial Xp3 testing on a 2007 Kenworth truck and went from 5.75 mpg to 7.01 mpg. CASE STUDY - TRANSPORT I m p ro v e s F u e l E c o n o m y & Re d u c e s Po l l u t i o n Brazil Transportation & Workmanship conducted a study on CAVO Ford Cargo trucks to determine Xp3’s effects on reducing pollution and improving fuel efficiency. Test results showed an average savings of 8.38% better fuel economy, and a reduction of emissions by up to 42%.


CASE STUDY – STATIONARY I m p ro v e s F u e l E c o n o m y

A long term test using Xp3 in a CAT diesel generator was conducted over the course of 30 months of continuous operation. The first phase of the test was to run the generator for 18 months straight with Xp3 treated fuel showing a savings of 8.8%. The second phase of the test was to run the generator with regular diesel fuel (not treated with Xp3) to re-confirm the baseline numbers. The third and final phase was to once again introduce Xp3 treated fuel to the operation of the generator. The final test results showed a savings of 8.97%. Test results showed savings of over consumed by using Xp3 treated fuel.

CASE STUDY – MANUFACTURING Cost Savings The objective of this year long test was to measure and validate the level of reduced fuel consumption by using Xp3 to treat their fuel in machinery and equipment used at Usina Coruripe’s sugar manufacturing facility in Brazil. 5 Machines identified as “CASE 8-800” group tabulated a net savings of $89,998 Brazilian Real (= approx. $35,600 CDN). 20 Machines identified as “MX-220” group tabulated a net savings of $77,641 Brazilian Real (= approx. $30,780 CDN). 9 Machines identified as “MX-135” group tabulated net savings of $4,047 Brazilian Real (= approx. $1,600 CDN).

Total annual savings of over $60,000 CDN per year.


CASE STUDY - EPA Re d u c e s Po l l u t i o n

The Mexican Petroleum Institute’s office for Environmental Protection conducted testing to assess the efficiency of combustion, emissions and boiler performance with Xp3 treated fuel. Test results showed a reduction of particulate concentration of 29.74%,

reduction in particulate emissions by 38.5% and reduction of opacity by 40%.


CASE STUDY - MARINE I m p ro v e s F u e l E c o n o m y Naval Marine testing was done on a Faribanks Morse engine powered vessel, operating 24/7 on the same route resulted in less pollution and an improvement in fuel efficiency of 9.3%.


CASE STUDY - RAILWAY Re d u c e s Po l l u t i o n

FERROCARRILES NACIONALES DE MEXICO conducted an in-depth and long term study on the efficacy of using Xp3 in their locomotives. Test results showed a significant reduction of 83% in pollution and an improvement in reduced fuel consumption.


CASE STUDY - MINING Re d u c e s Po l l u t i o n

Diesel powered generators are used to produce electricity for mining camps in the Cori Puno mining company. A two stage test was conducted to determine combustion efficiency and emissions on 2 different generators. Test results showed reduced emissions of carbon monoxide by more than 50% in generator No. 1, and by more than 60% in in generator No. 3. Flue gas outlet temperature decreased by 20째C, showing a decrease in wasted potential energy being captured to generate electricity instead of escaping as pollution. Additional benefits were improved filter life, cleaner injectors and long term maintenance savings.


CASE STUDY - BUS Re d u c e s Po l l u t i o n

Millbrook proving grounds was commissioned to assess the effect of Xp3 on emissions and particulate size on a London Double Decker Bus. Test results showed a slight reduction of Hydrocarbons and Carbon Monoxide and a reduction of 10.8% in particulate size.

Test results showed a reduction of particulate size and particle concentration when using Xp3 to treat fuel.
