Production Log – Week six This week was quite constructive as I had to carry out numerous task such as completing the planning and research, filming my clips and using my time effectively. In the planning and research, I needed to finalise what was expected on the blog. We decided to change our film title from „Virtual Venom‟ to „Black Arrow‟ because we thought that the previous one conformed better to a Hollywood film, which is not relevant for my British social realism genre. The new title, which I came up is „Black Arrow‟ because it‟s still ambiguous and sets up an enigma for our audience. I asked my partner whether he liked the title and he supported this title. For me, it sounds great for a British social realism film title because it has dark connotations to it and the “arrow” is normally associated with pain. In addition to this, I needed to finish off the production schedule, shooting script, editing the treatment and finishing the titles we are going to have for our film. This meant that I had a lot to take on in the weekend. Therefore, time management was an issue this week however, I‟ve overcome this by posting what I needed onto the blog and so I‟m finished with this part of the coursework. Lastly, when we went out to film the clips, one of our actor‟s came slightly later, which slowed the filming process down. However, we overcame this by recording for slightly longer which has helped us to have some clips ready to edit for next week. Overall, this week has been quite eventful, and in the future, I will try to manage my time a bit better in order to be more confident with my coursework.
