Themes: Love:

In this book love is seen in a lot of ways and it’s fair to say that almost every aspect of love is show. Some examples are the love between the sisters, love between couples, unrequited love, love between father and daughter and others.

Social class:

Social class in this book is very relevant because is one of the main problems that interfere in the life of the characters. For example Mrs Bennet is obsessed with being wealthy and keeping what they already got, so she tries to make her daughters married to the best bidder. Also things like the fact that it’s very difficult for people to be together for their social class, because for them is like a dishonor and their reputation will be damaged.

Pride:

As the name of the book says pride is a very important part of the book, and i think that it can be seen specially in Elizabeth and Mr. Darcy relationship, because is obvious they like each other and their ways of being but because they are both very proud at the beginning is very difficult for them to get along.

Prejudice:

This is specially seen also in the protagonist, because she is always being judged by people who don’t even really know her that well.

How are this themes are still relevant in today’s society? Love:

Love is something that has been really important since the beginning of time, however nowadays love is permitted in a way that you can love however you want, while you don’t hurt anybody, and that is kind of beautiful.

Social class:

Social class has always affected society, but now social class is not seen as something that makes you better as much, but something that needs to be better so more people can have a better life.

Pride:

Pride is something that depends a lot of the person, but is a very difficult characteristic to have, because it makes you feel like you always know what it’s right, and no one can change your mind, and nowadays being open minded it’s very important.

Prejudice:

This is something that has been always a problem, but in modern society is something that affects a lot of people specially teenagers. People between that ages are affected in a really mayor way because they are judge without any hesitation and without knowing her.
