Object Text Form
This project examines issues of composition through both physical and virtual layering; while exploring movement and transformation within a single frame. The subject of this project is an inanimate object that is associated with breakfast.

Space-Time: Event
In this project issues of space and time are explored through implied movement and/ or transformation that take place over a number of frames or through a montage, or some combination of both. A simple action “event” will be the focus of interpretation. To every call, there is an answer. The day is answered by the night, noise is answered by silence and the drum is answered by dance. During the naming ceremony of the Njie family’s first born the drummer dressed in dazzling powder blue traditional attire, begins beating the sabar drum skin and emitting the longing resonances of the call. The crowd that forms a ring around the drummer is composed of a myriad of anxious faces focused on the erringly empty center; awaiting the answerer of the drummers call. In no time at all, the drum’s call is promptly answered with the entrance of a woman dawned in vibrant regalia. The woman moves in time with the breakings of the drum and sways her body accordingly, whilst the drum dominates and orchestrates her gestures. She raises her hands high and and beams at the heavens and in grand dramatic fashion leaps up high into the air and pulsates her steps and arms in a jerking undulating fashion. The woman then slows down her motions and exits in a graceful manner, with the center of the ring of people becoming empty once more. The drummer and sabar drum then continue on their aching monologue through the thumps and cries of drum beating, calling out for an answer once again…

Bar (+)(-)
This project explores three-dimensional systems of organization and space making with two-dimensional graphic representation. The focus of this conceptual exploration is the development of a critical process of making and remaking to examine relationships and variations of form through order, continuity, transition, layering, connection, penetration, juxtaposition, implied movement, density, repetition and/or hierarchy. Materials: Cardboard, Cement, And plaster

Skin and Bones
This project explores the properties of a folded plane. The plane can be folded and cut to produce a texture, pattern and space in unique and surprising ways. Explore the subtlety that light plays on form to create a design that responds to the properties of the material and the qualities of surface. Historically in architecture, the skin always responded to the bones. In this project, the bones will respond to the skin. Materials: Bristol Paper And Wooden Splints
