The metropolis of Ribeirão Preto, located in the interior of the state of São Paulo, Brazil, encompasses a set of 34 cities, being a prominent pole about the other municipalities that compose this metropolitan region, mainly, due to the ease of access to commercial, leisure, gastronomic, cultural and health-related equipment. Because of this, many people look up/go to Ribeirão Preto for services that their respective cities do not provide or are present in a technical and infrastructure disquali ied manner.

The present work consists in the elaboration of a project of an AME - General Specialties Medical Ambulatory. The idea is that all procedures (consultations, examinations, and surgeries) that the patient needs, be performed in the same unit without being transferred. The proposal in question seeks to assist in the processes and care of peculiar specialties, pointing out possible improvements that may be implemented in the Ribeirão Preto Health System. It is proposed that there be a reduced model to be repeated by the municipality, so there is not a single point that concentrates all medical specialties so that there is no overload in care.

A planned hospital environment affects the wellbeing of the people who occupy this place, such as doctors, employees and family members. Thus, the integration of interior and exterior space is a valuable feature. This contact do not need to be necessarily direct, it can be visual, as nature triggers various stimuli in humans. Natural light is the most comfortable for the human eye because it exerts a calming effect helping to ease stress and depressive conditions. Therefore, it is relevant to point out that arti icial lighting contributes to the humanization of the hospital environment but does not replace the natural one. (CORBELLA, 2003). These and other aspects consolidate the humanization of the spaces present in the Specialties Medical Ambulatory. One of the areas that highlighted the interruption of standardization was the waiting rooms. The idea is to portray a courtyard composed of gardens with various vegetation species, glass-walls that allow the relationship between the exterior and the interior of the building, interconnected furniture, and colors that refer to the respective sector, helping the spatial understanding of users.
The implementation of a new health building on a regional scale will undoubtedly result in a greater low of people and vehicles into the surrounding area. Due to the lot sizing it is possible to design areas for the neighborhood. These include the recreation area, the outdoor gym, the playground, and the contemplation square. All of these areas are publicly accessible, intended for the nearest residents or patients who wish to have greater contact with nature.
