Chapter 1: 7th Primary School of Evosmos, D1 class
Around the Flower
Volcano
Baobap The fourth pupil runs around the Flower, jumps over the Volcano, moves under the Baobap and becomes a second Flower.
The sixth and last pupil repeats the same motive (around the Flower, over the Volcano, under the Baobap, around the second Flower, over the second Volcano) and becomes a second Baobap.
Then the first Flower leaves its position, repeats the motive and returns to the original position seated on the ground.
All pupils one by one repeat their motive and return to their original position (seated on the ground). Game over! The winner is the one that had Fun!
We can encourage pupils to remember how arrogant the flower was and pose respectively. Or they can pretend to be the friendly and encouraging flower that changes attitude after Little Prince decides to leave. We also encourage pupils to remember how Little Prince worked every day to keep his Volcanoes clean.
For our little ones, for our class of inclusion, or for those who wish so, we can have another version of the game. Four pupils in each team, instead of six, A Flower - A Volcano - A Baobap - Little Prince.
We can tell a story like Little Prince goes for a walk to his Planet and suddenly, surprise, he discovers a Flower. Then he moves around and cleans his Volcano. After a while he bumps on a Baobap and so on. The Little Prince runs the motive: Around the Flower-Over the Volcano-Under the Baobap and returns to the original position.
Next time we play, pupils can switch roles. (e.g. the Flower becomes a Volcano this time and the Baobap switch to Little Prince). Also, instead of jumping over the Volcano, we can choose to pass over, instead or running we can walk fast and finally we can place a mat under the Baobap for those who move under.
