Latente Contumil
Latente Contumil. A new concept of scenographic space. Porto was named European Capital of Culture in 2001. A great opportunity for the definitive takeoff of the city, positioning Porto in the spotlight of the cultural vanguard of the European continent, and by extension of the rest of the world. This strategy will have as its first direct consequence the substantial improvement in the lives of the inhabitants of the city and its area of influence. Since that anniversary, the city’s cultural environment has been growing and incorporating more and more contemporary events, however, despite significant cultural development, the spaces dedicated to the implementation of such development have not evolved at the same rate. The spaces that currently exist are spaces conceived for the realization of cultural activities with a classic scenography, lacking the versatility and dynamism that is required to be able to celebrate cultural activities of the 21st century. Once this deficiency has been detected, what is proposed is the creation of a new concept of scenographic space that breaks with the classic models, a space adaptable to current and future situations, that is transformed according to the needs of the city. In short, a project directed towards the future and the limitless development of the cultural dimension of Porto. Latente Contumil is a scenographic project located in the Contumil station itself. A project of hybridization and duality of two visions. On the one hand, the railway world, on the other, the world of scenography, art and culture. A new performing arts center made up of a total of 3 harbor cranes, aligned on the chosen margin of the station. Accompanied by railways, roads and old repair warehouses that will be reused to generate the different uses that are required. The port crane is used as the structural basis of the project due to its connection with the memory of the place, its large scale and complexity. It is a dynamic structure, changing and adaptable to circumstances, allowing the generation of all kinds of new stage experiences. The different pieces that define the space are placed on the cranes. They are pieces of various qualities, materialities, uses and personalities, which together generate the coherence and essence of the scenographic space. In this space there is neither public nor private. The roles are subverted, so that actors, musicians, artists ... together with the audience, all become protagonists, forming part of the same scene.
007
The essence of the project is the creation of a multidisciplinary and flexible performing arts center, which adapts to the changes in the art and culture of the growing Porto. A space where the railway world and Contumil’s memory are hybridized, through a new world for scenography.
Year 2019 Type Concurso Pladur: «Rehabilitar para habitar» Location Paradinha, Arouca Tutor Antonio Galiano Garrigós - Building Construction. Universidad de Alicante Team Members María Domenech Mataix, Christiano Prado Use technics/programs Formit, Insight 360, Revit, Sefaira, Cype, AutoCAD, Rhinoceros, Vray, Lumion, Illustrator, Photoshop.
CUARENTA comes from the concept of generating a modulated, regulated space, where the presence of Pladur becomes noticeable. This project focuses on MODULATION, but also on INTEGRATION, EFFICIENCY and life in COMMUNITY. INTEGRATION The idea of creating a friendly architecture. Both with the environment where it is established, and with the inhabitants that inhabit it. We create a space that rests delicately on the established ground, to try to modify it as little as possible. Let the building be the one that adapts, and not the terrain. This concept is what is observed in the architecture of the small town of Paradinha, Porto, where the project is established. EFFICIENCY Committed to sustainability, for that reason the building is structured according to the modulations offered by Pladur, so that the loss of material is minimal.

LIFE IN COMMUNITY Finally, the concept of community, of new forms of coexistence. The integration of the public space into the private, through the design and layout of the proposed project.

Year 2018 Type Urban development and regional planning Location Munich, Germany Tutor Peter Scheller & Heiner Stengel - GROSS STADT FORM. Technical University of Munich Team Members María Domenech Mataix Use technics/programs AutoCAD, Rhinoceros, Lumion, Illustrator, Photoshop.
GROSS, STADT & FORM Urban development project, located in the district of Sendling, Munich, next to the Isar and surrounded by the Power Station and the Groß Market.
In terms of geometry, the building is understood as a stepped form characterized by two rows. These rows go from the highest point, where the hotel is located as an urban strategy for its visual impact; and slowly descends towards the power plant, wrapping even one of its old tanks. The building has several uses. On the lower floors, the public functions. These include stores, kindergartens, libraries... The upper floors are reserved for a more private use, such as residential use. Where we can even find student housing.
037
The first floor is executed in such a way that it becomes a permeable object, characterized by the combination of open and closed spaces that creates a movement around the building and its long courtyard. This permeability is also carried to the upper floors with the placement of walkways that back up the central courtyard.
GROSS, STADT & FORM
Due to its location, this area has not been developed. There are no public functions for its neighbors. With this problem in mind, it is intended to develop a project focused on integration. An integration in culture and social aspects. An integration of the area with the Sendling district and Munich itself.

Inside the block Inside the block is a project carried out during the course with professors Kruker and Bates at the Technical University of Munich, TUM. The main intention of this project was to generate a new residential building in one of the neighborhoods of the city of Naples, whose main quality was the inner courtyard of the building, thus commemorating the Italian architecture of this city. Our final proposal consisted of a small three-story building, with an exterior corridor surrounding the inner courtyard. Thus creating a new form of coexistence between neighbors. Where the private became public and vice versa.

Hotel Don Pancho Urban planning project in the city of Benidorm. In front of the Hotel Don Pancho, a new public space is generated to complement both the city and the hotel.www In this project we wanted to focus on creating quality spaces for the city. Spaces where to stroll quietly, rest, sit, contemplate... The final proposal consists of an open square, with different rhythms in the pavement, creating not only a rest area, but also a play area, where street furniture and water are part of the composition.
