I am a registered architect in the Dominican Republic, urban designer, and BIM project manager.
My approach to design involves problem-solving, critical thinking, and bringing new solutions to the table, responding to each particular context and condition.
I would describe myself as determinate, hard-working, a quick learner, optimistic, and a great team leader and collaborator, having a strong eye for detail.
“I believe that good design is more than aesthetic, it is the balance between beauty, functionality, and how users relate together and to the built space itself.”

Description
Guayiga 15 is a modern vacation house, a place to gather away, located in a high-end residential complex in Punta Cana Village, Dominican Republic. The project mixes the best of the Caribbean coast with modern finishings providing comfort and welcoming spaces promoting social interactions for the family.
The center of the home is the open-plan living area, which has a double-height window wall on the backside leading to the pool area. The design allows the family to connect with the natural environment, merging inside with the outside and providing passive ventilation.

Description
“Adelina” is a residential building located in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. It is a project that seeks to respond to the housing demand of the city by placing it on the outskirts.
Buildings’ exterior materials feature concrete, corten steel, and wood composite. These durable and long-lasting finishings will require low maintenance while developing a natural patina to harmonize with the landscape, along with simple lines and generous overhangs.
The project has a total of six storeys, the first floor destined for a common parking area and the remaining five storeys for apartments. Units of 110.00 m² and 91.00 m².

Description
The flat-roofed house reflects its owner’s dream come true, a design fitted into its steep hillside site, emphasizing a minimal - contemporary design. An elemental material palette further relates the home to its natural surroundings, a very characteristic but not common area in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.
An extensive, front two-story / back three-story, detached house, respond to the lot peculiar steepness, client’s requirements, and climatic conditions.
Passive natural ventilation and lighting, reduction of the amount of heat gain in the summer, and great views are just some of its main features.

The house origin is from the early 1900s which has been a great challenge. We’ve looked to find a balance between our new design, the client’s needs, and the preservation of the cultural value of the property.
It was an abandoned house, requested to be redesigned from scratch taking into consideration the existing different cultural elements in order to enrich the owner’s experience while living in the house, as it’s been adapted to the new end-user needs.

Small, functional, and countryside style were the main requirements when this design was requested, two guest houses with no specific owner, intended to be used by executive staff working in a certain company.
A limited budget determined the decisions made in this project as it had to be inexpensive, we accomplished a good design by having an open plan layout to provide social interaction whereas we got all the basic needs covered by having the minimum functional dimensions to make it work.
