Social Station Dallas, TX

GEOMETRIC FORM Social Station is a co-working space for start up tech companies, website designers, and app developers. Taking influence from I.M. Pei‘s iconic work in Dallas, the design utilizes a composition of geometric forms to create organized and functional spaces. The simplicity of geometric forms inform the feel of the space. Minimalistic detailing and clean lines create an environment that provides a comforting and calming backdrop for creative professionals to work. Spaces are determined by a geometric form - either a triangle or quadrilateral. They are arranged according to function, with work spaces on the west side of the building and entertainment & social spaces focused on the east side. Some geometric forms overlap to create relationships between spaces and to unify the building as a whole. Workers in the space draw inspiration from their environment as they work to create their own functional, minimalistic, and aesthetically pleasing spaces on the web.

Floor Plan

Luxury Skybox Queens, NY

R&B Influences brooklyn Urban Vinyl Productions is a New York City based R&B record label. Their skybox will reflect the famous Brownstone architecture of Brooklyn, acknowledge the grid street plan of NYC, and simulate the smooth, rhythmic sounds of R&B music. The use of texture and symmetry will be used in conjunction with smooth furnishings and sleek lighting to create a unique space. The skybox will embody both the music and the city that shaped the record label. Spatially, the skybox will be laid out in accordance to a grid, like the streets of NYC. A central axis and two perpendicular outer axes will be emphasized on both floors to ensure simple circulation. Program areas will be stacked according to their purpose to mimic Brownstone traditional floor plans.

Baladi Experience Brooklyn, NY

MOVEMENT IN DANCE My concept draws inspiration from the flow and movement of the popular Middle Eastern dance, Raqs Baladi, to create a tangible environment for people to inhabit. This traditional Middle Eastern dance is vibrant, rhythmic, and grounded. The restaurant will allow guests to experience the fluid movement of Baladi from every direction, as if the dance is taking place all around them.

Scottsdale Library Scottsdale, AZ

COMPARTAMENTALIZED SPACES The site is an existing building in a public park located in North Scottsdale, Arizona. The concept behind the design of the library is to create compartamentalized spaces where people can interact in social areas without disturbing people who are reading or working in a quiet environment.

Highline Hotel Manhattan, NY

intertwined My concept for this boutique hotel was to intertwind natural elements with man made developments. Â Throughout time, humans have covered nature up with their man made environments but in some cases nature has been found re-emerging from industrial developments. Â The Highline is a great example of nature peeking through the industrialization and development of New York City.
