White House Taps Porcari for Supply Chain Task Force JOHN D. PORCARI has been named as Port Envoy to the Biden administration’s Supply Chain Disruptions Task Force. Porcari, who is president of Axilion Smart Mobility USA, served twice as Secretary of Transportation for the State of Maryland and chairman of the Maryland Port Commission.

MEREDITH BERGER has been designated to perform the duties of the Under Secretary of the Navy. In this role, she serves as the deputy and principal assistant to Secretary of the Navy CARLOS DEL TORO, as well as the chief operating officer and chief management officer for the Department of the Navy.

Huntington Ingalls Industries (HII) named BROOKE HART executive vice president-communications. She will succeed JERRI DICKSESKI, who retired on September 1, 2021, after nearly 31 years of service. Hart will report to MIKE PETTERS, HII’s president and CEO. She comes to HII from the Sierra Nevada Corporation.

Fort Lauderdale, Fla.-based Motor Services Hugo Stamp Inc. has promoted MAXWELL ILLING to engine sales manager, where he is responsible for driving nationwide strategy, performance, growth, and dealer development in the marine diesel engine and propulsion sales market for brands, such as FPT North America, Moteurs Baudouin and Alamarin Jet.

Massachusetts Maritime Academy has appointed CAPT. MICHAEL R. BURNS JR. as the first executive director of its Maritime Center for Responsible Energy. He will oversee the center to deliver training to the renewable energy industry, develop robust, collaborative relationships with renewable energy stakeholders, and coordinate all the academy’s renewable energy efforts. The U.S. Coast Guard Academy has installed AMY DONAHUE, Ph.D., as the institution’s first provost. In this position, she will serve as the principal adviser to the superintendent in all matters relating to the academic program and faculty, replacing dean of academics retired Coast Guard CAPT. KURT COLELLA.
