WePhoto - 2016 - Minimal - Vol 1

WePhoto “The Series” Minimal Vol 1 Dear all, I am very proud to introduce the new collection “The Series”. It was not so long ago since we have launched the first eBook, including the photographic work of the 15 administrators, who at that time were cooperating in the “WePhoto” group. Since then, we have published 21 eBooks and the Special edition “Calendar 2015” and now two Calendars 2016. This new collection – The Series - is made of different eBooks, each one (or more than one if required) related to a specific photographic theme, including the artworks of several authors from Italy and abroad. This is the first eBook of the seventh line of this new collection and has been dedicated to Minimal Photography.

We are all so excited and happy to be able to collect such beautiful images and, most of all to be able to share them with a wide audience. Spread, share, recommend everyone to download eBooks from our webpages and links below. Also make sure to leave your feedback on the eStores – 5 stars comments would be great. RATE IT! You can really help us growing and sharing our beloved passion for photography! In this eBook you can also find the links to our Facebook Group. Come and join, invite friends to share and enjoy some of the best images from around the world!

Minimal A word so "small" that hides a WORLD UNSEEN. Infinite shades of beauty, colors and shapes. World of MINIMAL is vast, rich in details and also not well defined. Minimal can be a landscape that directs the gaze in one place, t can be a photo of Architecture, a photo of "Street" or something so close to us, a detail that focuses attention, that "CREATE" a picture "MINIMAL". I hope that this world fascinates you as fascinated me, and our talented authors.

I was born in Cagliari 26 years ago; from just 1 year I've enhanced the study of photography in all its fields. Fascinated by the possibility to share with other people the way I see the reality around me, i start to immortalize what i see in my mind with my trusty Pentax. I love the minimalism because it allows me to direct the attention of the viewer to few elements in the picture, trying to transmit a message or an emotion through irony. Thanks to Fabrizio, my mentor , Silvia , my source of inspiration and my Pentaxians friends, that give me joy and happiness. 9

ANGELO CIRILLI Cuneo, Italy a.cirilli@tin.it www.facebook.com/cuneo/ www.facebook.com/groups/139193476097533

CHRIS FRAIKIN Leerdam, The Netherlands chris@chrisfraikin.com www.chrisfraikin.com

Educated at the Royal Academy of Art, where he studied graphic design, Chris Fraikin built a professional career for forty years in succession in the graphic, the IT and the music industry.
In 2014 he decided to focus more on photography and in search for a direction in photography that would attract him most he attended lots of workshops and made several photo tours as well in The Netherlands as abroad. Besides projects of all kinds, he currently found his main field of interest in what he calls 'archtracts': minimalistic extracts of in particular architectural and urban objects. Mainly he roams at industrial sites to discover the objects which are photographed in a contemplative way. In his work you will recognize his graphic background. 33

GIOVANNI PAOLINI Milano, Italy www.facebook.com/giovanni.paolini.14 www.gpaolini.it

Vivo a Milano.

Non so' mai cosa fotograferò.

DAVIDE COLAGIACOMO Genova, Italy www.davidecolagiacomo.com www.eyeem.com/u/davidecolagiacomo

Amo l'architettura razionalista, così come l'Impressionismo.

In this world since 1973, I started to handle cameras at eight years, and then continued up to today, learning a language that I often use more than words (with pleasure of those who often suffer my sermons). I'm a non-engineer, but I keep engineering approach, rational and analytical. I love rationalist architecture, as well as Impressionism. And through photography I try to find different perspectives of visions to share with everyone. Photographically I like to portray people in their daily lives, as well as adore the architectural geometries and exploration of abandoned places. In all these phographic occasions, I always feel strongly called by the particolar, the detail that we don’t note in ordinary life, but feels good to be seen. Few months ago I found a cultural association whose purpose is to bring and talk together photography with other forms of art, in which I put all the energies that work and a wonderful son still leave in me. 69

Pino Di Giacomo, works as a general practitioner and he is a photographer by passion for 35 years. He is currently using a Nikon D5100 with Nikon 18-55 mm and 55-200 mm lenses. He has interest in the photographic analysis of the territory through architecture and landscape, but for some years has been especially dedicated to minimalist photography, in its various aspects, which is the type of photos based on the concept that "less is more" , which allows to observe reality in its most essential and schematic aspects remaining faithful to the idea that "the hardest thing in photography is to stay simple (Anne Geddes)" 81
