WePhoto Minimal 2016 Vol 5
Editorial Team / Readazione Mario Bunčuga: Editor Mario Bunčuga: Art Director Pankaj Anand: Proof Simone Vivaldo: Minimal Group Leader
Dear all, I am very proud to introduce our new collection ‘The Series’. It was not so long ago that we had launched the first eBook that included the photographic work of the 22 administrators, who at that time were contributing to manage the ‘WePhoto’ group. Since then, we have published more than 50 eBooks, a special edition work called ‘Calendar 2015’ and two calendars in 2016. The Series is made up of different eBooks, each of them related to a specific photographic genre. The one in your hands is the second thematic book on Portrait Photography. Every year we bring together the best authors from Italy and abroad sharing their works at our WePhoto Group. This sequence of the finest images in portraiture is a result of same endeavour from us. . This one is the fifth volume of Minimal Series. . We hope you will enjoy their art, subscribe to our editions and help us spread the word.

In today’s overly photographed world the simplistic style of minimal photography brings a big relief to the eye. Artistically speaking, minimalism depends on a single fundamental principle of keeping it simple every time using minimum amount of compositional elements, separated by shape, color, and line. Minimalism being a very subjective style is open to interpretations. It may convey a concept or an idea, provoke an emotional response, or provide a unique visual experience. You need an eye to create a minimalistic image so as to decide what all to include and what not to. This art compels you to view the world differently through the lens and challenges you to look beyond the obvious for hidden photographic opportunities. Mario Buncuga Novembre 2016

STEFANIA BURATTO Alessandria, Italy acebook.com/profile.php?id=100008180892818

ULLI MOSCONI ZUPIN Trieste, Italy facebook.com/Ulli-Zupin-Shots-for-passion
My name is Ulli Mosconi Zupin, i live in Trieste, a beautiful seaside city in the northeast of Italy. My recent passion for photography is closely linked to my passion for travel. Truly, I have always enjoyed taking photographs, but only recently I have done it with so much enthusiasm and professionalism. Since i began to follow social networks of photography, i felt drawn to Architectural Photography and Minimalist Photography. I'm fascinated by the geometry, by the harmony of architectural structures, which I love to take in their essentiality, in simple, neat compositions. I have realized that over time, my perception has changed to be able to recognize shapes, details and symmetries much more easily.
I feel that I
have grown greatly as a photographer, but there is much yet to learn. 46

MONICA BERTOLAZZI Sydney, Australia
facebook.com/monica.bertolazzi
My name is Monica Bertolazzi, I was born in Milan and I live in Australia since 5 years. The wonderful landscapes and seascapes of my new country made me feel having something to stop the time forever…nature is so beautiful….So I got my first camera and immediately fell in love with this beautiful hobby. Taking pictures is just a way to stop the time and never forget it…it will never come back exactly in that same way….In the beginning I just shot landscapes, but after my first photographic tour in North Vietnam I started to shoot portraits and reportage as well.’ 70
