Portrait Photography For us, the human beings, there could be nothing more ‘personal’ than a worthy portrait. You look through a pair of eyes and find every single person hiding some emotions deep within. Making of a portrait involves intricate techniques, observant eyes, and a creative mind because a portrait is not supposed to be merely an image; it rather has to hold the essence of the individual personality. Whether it is a gorgeous girl with languid eyes, a rude old man with his skin marked by time, or a child with sad eyes, their portrait has to strike the conscience of a viewer. It has to make them lose their heart. Our job as a photographer is to seize the dream of that girl and make the viewer feel the sourness of the old man’s suffering. Presented here within is a collection of some of the best works of our time.

BRIGITTE FEIJEN Eindhoven, Netherlands facebook.com/Photography-Brigitte-793724404041820/
I am from Netherlands and currently live in Eindhoven. All my life I have had a passion for photography, earlier in front of the camera, and now behind it. With photography I can really do my own thing and express myself and my thoughts through my pictures.
My creativity, especially my eye for detail helps me to focus on best aspects to showcase in a frame. I then search for the best end result that does most justice to my expression. I love to photograph people, not just beautiful models, but all kinds of people of all ages. It’s not the outside that interests me, but their character, their soul which gives my work depth. Every person has something beautiful inside. It's up to the photographer to see it and turn it into art. I hope you will enjoy watching my work. With love, Brigitte 10

CAROLA KAYEN-MOUTHAAN Heijningen, Netherlands
facebook.com/carola.kayenmouthaan?fref=nf dutchbeautyfotografie.nl instagram.com/carolamouthaan My name is Carola Kayen-Mouthaan. I live in Heijningen (Brabant) The Netherlands. I am 50 years old and happily married. I discovered my passion for photography in 2008, and it is something I have been doing for 11 years now with a lot of love and dedication. Since the beginning of 2016 I have discovered a new zeal for Fine Art Photography because it has a lot of emotion and has a pure and oldfashioned feeling. For me beauty is not something that is defined by how people look but what comes from within. I like taking pictures that are different from standard photos, like the one I did with a girl painting herself. I also had a real pony in my studio. I love to work with real animals though they are always a challenge. I also had a skunk, snails, birds of prey, dogs, cats and spiders in my studio. I have been published in various magazines such as Imirage magazine, CameraCraft Modellenland , ND magazine, Zoom, Chip photo magazine, FEMME Rebelle , fineart photo magazine
I have also been giving workshops in Fine art photography for 2 years now. The workshops are mostly in Netherlands and we are planning to take our workshops to China soon. I also gave a seminar in England at the award weekend of The Guild of Photographer, and few in Belgium and Italy. I have won some great prizes in the Netherlands. I won the first prize and jury choice runner up by The Guild of photographers, 2 Bronze Awards by One Eye and First prize by Magic lens. I was judged all over winner Photo master Benelux in The Netherlands 2017/2018. I had my first exhibition on 22 May 2017 in The Netherlands. My pictures have been part of exhibitions in Germany, Rome, Cape town, London, Amsterdam and Italy. I hope to take my photography all around the world and touch people’s hearts with my pictures. 22

DOMENICO LUCCHESE Pescara, Italia
facebook.com/domenicoluccheseph/ instagram.com/vedekdom/ vedek8.wixsite.com/domenicoluccheseph
My name is Domenico Lucchese. I was born and live in Pescara, in Abruzzo, one of the most beautiful regions of Europe. Here, the nature offers enchanting scenarios in all seasons of the year, which is why some years ago I grew passionate about photography, capturing the splendid landscapes that offered themselves to my gaze.
For my photographic growth the registration to a photo club was decisive, in which I met many talented photographers who made me passionate about portrait photography. Over the years I have tried to deepen this photographic genre, with seminars held by good professionals and above all with lots of study and lots of practice in the field, both in the studio and outdoors. My favorite genres are portraiture and fashion, but I often like to try my hand at glamour with a preference for the boudoir. 34

EMANUELE DI PAOLO Cuneo, Italia
facebook.com/emanuele.d.paolo instagram.com/emanuele_dp/?hl=it flickr.com/people/mad_shot/
Hi, I'm Emanuele, an amateur photographer from Cuneo. I am 56 years old and I took my first photographs at the age of 16 with an Asahi Pentax camera, gifted to me by my father.
From the magic of film I switched to digital and recently to iPhonegraphy. I am passionate about photographing people, on the stages of theaters as they dance, on the catwalks where fashion shows are held or portray them in a moment of their lives. For this reason I prefer the natural or ambient light that best expresses what I want to show through my photographs. Even today I think I have a lot to learn and for this I participate in workshops and seminars. I am always open to comparison as long as it is constructive, I love simplicity in life as I believe it always produces the best results. 46

My love for photography started almost as a joke, I still don’t have a clear idea.
Over the years, thanks to my dad, I started to get passionate. My first steps in photography were with landscape photography and street photography. The genre that I like most and that I still practice today is the portrait. 58

HENK VELDHUIZEN Alphen aan den Rijn, The Netherlands
www.hajeve-pictures.nl www.facebook.com/hajevepictures Instagram: hajeve_pictures
Working with people is what I like most. For a beautiful portrait photo good cooperation is required, as are the shared ideas on what the end-result shall look like. A portrait photo that makes a difference and is really different from what one normally sees in the mirror- that is what I take as a challenge. I am Dutch and I studied at the Royal Conservatoire The Hague. I play drums as well as keyboard and piano. From 2000 till 2013 I performed with my music group Alevare. The repertoire of this group varied from the Argentine tango to the French chanson. The revenue from the performances went to charity. Until recently I gave music lessons (33 years) to children and adults.
For these lessons I provided multiple music and musical productions, which I supervised from directing and making arrangements to the execution. This experience supports my photography ambitions in a way. I am an autodidact photographer and have found portrait photography as my passion. What I do is trying to capture the different aspects of the unique individual in front of me, with careful attention to light conditions and background. It is my challenge to create a portrait photo that forces the viewer to look at it a bit longer. A portrait that provokes thinking about who the subject person really is, and what are his or her emotions and thoughts. And what were the photographer’s intentions in making this portrait photo? I leave it to the one who sees it to find answers to these questions. Being proud of his or her own portrait is always a wonderful experience for people. For myself it is simply fantastic to work with people in such creative processes. There will be an exhibition of my portraits in March/ April 2019 and in April 2020 there will be an exhibition of my new project, Passion: the story in 14 images. 70

R K SAXENA Gwalior ,India
www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100009514603207
I am a former banker from Gwalior, India. I enjoy painting, collecting old coins, and find my inspiration from the biographies of spiritual masters. I started photography in 2006 and since have developed a deep interest in documenting social life around me.
There are a lot of big photographers on Facebook in so many groups especially from WePhoto that inspire me. Their styles of documenting moments are the ones I find interesting and inspiring. With classical portrait shots captured in both color as well as black & white, I intend to radiate the unique human moments that lie within the expressions and gestures of human beings. 94
