Mark Berendson

I was born in the United States and was raised in Peru. I'm a graduate with a BFA in architecture from the Savannah College of Art and Design. The involving of Art and Science is what defines Architecture. The Pursuit of Knowledge, Episteme, and the Design Process it what shapes an Architect. Since I was in a young age, I loved to build and create; now I still apply those actions through Architecture. I knew that was my passion since the beginning and it became my pursuit of happiness. Architecture helps people in a direct and indirect way, meaning that it provides shelter to people; gives something beautiful and elegant to look at; creates emotions; shapes our environment; and is my way to give back and contribute to the community. All of those characteristics are the main reason why I want to be an Architect; to contribute to the world in a sustainable way and be involved with people in need. One should always respect nature and the cultural aspects of the community one works in.
