SPOT THE DIFFERENCE A

Competition ends 28th February and the winner announced in the Autumn edition of the Weather Report. Can You spot the difference between the clear PVC Café Blinds bought from Bunnings and the Clear PVC Café blinds bought

from and installed by the team WeatherSafe WA? It’s not a real difficult choice is it?

D I D YO U K N OW ? Slugs and snails don't like coffee — in fact they are poisoned by caffeine. So, to protect your valuable plants from snails and slugs, all you have to do is make up a very weak instant coffee mix and liberally spray the mixture all over your plants and around the ground near your plants. Use the cheapest possible

instant coffee you can find, and mix it at a rate of 10 grams (2 level teaspoons) to 1 litre of water. I bought a 250 mL plastic spray bottle “You can also scatter your used coffee grounds around the garden

and put 2.5 grams (1/2 teaspoon) of instant coffee in it before filling it with cold water and shaking it before use. You will soon notice less snails and slugs in your garden. Don't forget that you will need to give your snails and slugs another drink of coffee after rain or watering

to ward off the snails and slugs”

“Exciting times are ahead.”

The barrelvault structure erected at the Punmu Aboriginal Community

About 90kms from the Canning Stock route in the Great Sandy Desert is the small Aboriginal community of Punmu Rawa.

Several years ago the Rotary Club of Margaret River adopted the community and have over the years done many projects for the locals. After two years of planning and negotiations between Rod Pether and Mark to build a structure to cover the new basketball court we finally finished the project in September. The club completely rebuilt the court with the help of many

local and north west companies and the structure complete with

sails to depict the Aboriginal flag was a big hit with the locals.

It’s all an illusion... Now this is one of the craziest things that I’ve seen in a long time and I thought I’d share it with you. Check out this picture of Albert Einstien. Now squint your eyes and who do you see???

“It’s no illusion the excellent old fashioned customer service you will get form the team at WeatherSafe WA . That’s the WeatherSafe Difference”

They really do give your home or café or any outdoor space that extra dimension in alfresco living. two qualities, ‘WeatherBlock Plus’ designed for more commercial situations and ‘WeatherBlock Mode’ for most applications around the home. The history of Del-Ray Canvas Australia goes way back to the days of Frank Lewis, who sold baby accessories, Tents and Tarpaulins, in a small shop on Spencer Street in Bunbury back in the 50’s. His son Ray did his apprenticeship at Tudor House in Victoria Park before moving with his new wife Faye into the Family Business now called F. Lewis & Son. Ray founded Del-Ray Fabric Products in 1975 and Built a new factory on Richter Rd where it remains today. With his sons Mark and Paul joining the business the name

changed to Del-Ray Canvas Australia in the late 80’s. Looking to expand into the metro area the family bought into the Perth market acquiring companies A&B Leather and Canvas in 1992 and Direct Canvas in 2008.

Today, now that Ray has retired, the Brothers have split the companies into two with Paul taking over the running of A&B Canvas in Perth and Mark running Del-Ray Canvas now WeatherSafe WA in Bunbury.

Income Protection Insurance A risk worth taking MGIB are our insurance brockers here at WeatherSafe. They offer a great service and that’s why we have hung with them for years. I asked Antony if he could offer any savvy advice for my clients and he told me that the one thing that most people overlook when sorting out their insurances is insuring their income. A couple of years ago one of my employee’s was badly injured in a car accident and was off work for 18 months.

Antony Gallagher MGIB Another friend of mine was injured when he fell off a balcony at a party (he was a tad drunk) and was unable to work for 12 months. Neither had income insurance and their lives were a serious mess while unable to work. Natalie is offering a free 1/2 hour consultation for all WeatherSafe clients and will even come out to your workplace and discuss options with your employees or workmates. Please read on and see what MGIB have to offer... Whilst insuring our homes, cars, personal belonging and businesses becomes second nature, what most people forget to insure is their most valuable asset – their ability to earn an income. Having income protection allows you to protect your family’s most valuable asset… YOU!

How would you replace your lost income if you were injured in an accident or fell ill? Income Protection is an insurance designed to do just that, replace your personal exertion income in the event of an accident or illness. It provides cover 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, Worldwide. A portion of the premium is generally tax deductible and the contract guaranteed by the Insurance Company.
